OOC Notes
((Some themes and elements are taken from Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. I can't make up my own thing, it would take too long, so there you go. Happy Role Playing))
Many a years has it been since the war and other causes struck fear into the human soul. But now, in the year 2046 where Technology has risen highly and made life easier, everything seems to be finally settling nicely. But as the sun dropped behind the city and the day walkers taken their refuge in their own dwellings-a new set of entities slowly creep into the city. The city that never sleeps lives to its name, and even though the mortals are unsuspecting of what is occurring, their are still others out there that will defend them... Even if they die trying...
A man in a dirty, tattered trench coat leaned back against the brick wall. If he could, he would phase through it, and leave the huntress behind-but his lack of blood, human blood has made him weak.
"Who is your master?" the cold, female voice cut at him like a whip. Freezing him.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" he wailed.
"You know what I am talking about, who is your Master? What is his name?" she softly asked, but her tone dropped icicles.
"I was only sent to pick up something, I swear, but I would rather die than tell you my master's name!" he yelled.
He sucked in a breath at the sudden touch of the cold barrel of the deadly gun, pressed against his chest.
His dark hungry eyes trailed up his attacker, a female huntress in black leather. The silver moon light spilled over her half-bent slender form, highlighting her every curve. Her steely cloud gray eyes stared at him relentless.
She nodded a little, her petal shaped lips curved into a humor-less grin. "If that's the case, then die now."
~~~
"She is here," Jett muttered, scanning the supposed empty lot. His crimson eyes landed on a shivering figure at beside the garbage dump. The missing child.
Approaching the kid, Jett leaned down and looked at the small human. It was a little boy.
He looked up at him, his face dirty and tear streaked. "S-some one...tried t-to bite..." he said still crying.
December snowflakes wafted gently to from the dark skies, so quiet and peaceful it was.
"Come with me, I will take you back home," Jett said quietly as he lowered a hand to help him.
"I saw a lady, she took the scary man somewhere." he said as he stood up and accepted Jett's help. Together they walked out of the alley and into the street where cop cars whizzed by.
"He's still missing, please help me!" a woman cried.
"Mom!" the boy screamed, running away from Jett and toward the lady that was speaking to a bunch of people and officers.
"Oh Tobey!" the lady cried as she received her son.
Jett turned and walked away.
~~~
"Tell me... what are you thinking?"Lacey asked, staring up at the grand father clock as the hands hit five-thirty, dawn. She sat on the sofa in the living room of the mansion that was far from the city. In the forest it was, called Tres Park. Much closer to Manhattan.
"We need to have a meeting," Candle murmured, walking in.
"The Council of Elders and the Hunter Association, why can't they ever get along?" Lacey asked.
"We made a peace treaty with them, and if they break it, we will have a war," Candle said as she walked in and hesitated at the large, bay french windows.
She took out a small, square shaped box out of her coat pocket and gave it a little shake. The small blood tablets inside rattled, there were still a few left.
"What about your position as Pureblood Princess? You can regain that power your fore-fathers gave up, you can control the Council...Then there won't be any more attacks." Lacey provided, watching her closely.
After swallowing a few of the tasteless tablets, Candle sighed. "You know why I cannot do that-"
"Because she is apart of the Hunter Association now, and she doesn't want anything to do with the Council." answered Jett, walking in.
"Found the boy?" Candle asked.
"Yes, he is safe now."
"What about him?" Jett asked. Referring to the vampire that had kidnapped the child.
"Crossed off the list, he had it coming- he was one of the old ones anyways, they wanted him dead a long time ago." Candle replied, keeping her back to the room. Her gaze out into the unreal world outside.
Jett strode in and took a seat on a couch. "I heard they want to take over, everything. Even as far as to break the treaty and walk over the Organization." Jett said, breaking the silence.
"That won't happen," Candle promised, glaring out the window.

"Do we have everything?" asked a tall man, his faced cloaked in the darkness of the tomb. The one he was speaking to turned around and took a heavy sigh. "We still need a few things... are you sure we should be doing this? We don't know anything about the guy or what he'll do if were able to bring him back." The tall man stepped into the light, his face was decrepit and worn. He grabbed the other man by the throat and lifted him high into the air. "You will not refer to our Master in that tone or manor." He released the man, him falling to the floor and gasping for breath. "But yes, we do not know what he will do. It's all a matter of faith in the end. Hurry, the sooner he returns the sooner we will be able to move forward." The tall old man disappeared into the darkness, leaving the other in the sarcophagus chamber by himself.
They had nearly everything they needed. The only items missing was a possession of the one and a blood orchid. the possession could be found inside the sarcophagus, so once the man in there got it opened, their list would be down to one. The only true challenge is the orchid, which is not even known to exist amongst the vampires. Rumors say they can be found it only one spot in the world, but where that one spot is they can only guess. They have narrowed it down to three possible countries, but they are very large countries.
The man pried the door of the sarcophagus open, a few millenniums worth of dust exploding at him. Taking a deep breath and dusting himself off for a few minutes he looked inside to see the remains of the King and a sheathed sword laying beside his body.

The small pitter patter of running feet echoed over the rooftops of the sleepless city, practically gliding from one building to another. Anyone who had any knowledge of vampires would know that this was a very powerful one that was on the run. Just then, another pair of running feet began to carry over the cold wind. These were heavier and more clumsy than the set of light feet that came before it. It was a human, known as Salem. He had been hunting this female vampire for months, and now she was beginning to pull away from him!
He slung his pistols out from beneath his coat as he watched the dark and slender silhouette twist and flip into the air over the buildings. It had been a long time since he had to use his pistols to slow his target down. Most other vampires were not this alert or quick on their feet. Salem was beginning to wonder what he was getting himself into just as he unleashed a wave of bullets soaring towards the female vampire. Suddenly, before any of the bullets made contact, the target vanished into the darkness.
"What the-" Salem muttered, almost unsure of what had just happened. He had only seen this once when he hunted his very first vampire. It was a technique that they had, a stealth ability. Only the powerful ones who had mastered secrecy and deceit were able to use the darkness to vanish.
The young vampire hunter tried to quiet his breathing as he scanned the roof top, holding both pistols out in front of him. She was still here. He could feel it. He had seen too much and he knew she would want him dead so as not to trouble her again. But nothing moved and the pitter patter of her feet had disappeared with her.
Suddenly, he heard a hiss as the vampire reappeared from above, crashing down on top of him. Her little hands wrapped around his left arm and neck. "You're becoming a bit of a nuisance, Salem. And I don't like stalkers." She hissed even louder in his ear as she prepared to bite.
"A shame," he smirked, "and here i thought we were becoming such good friends." Without wasting anymore time, Salem swung his right hand around to her torso, took aim and pulled the trigger. Once everything was quiet and the danger had been dealt, with Salem took in a deep breath as he checked his wounds. A gash was straight across his stomach, bleeding through his shirt. "Ugh, that was a close one. You're getting reckless." He told himself as he found a ladder and climbed his way down to the streets.

Guilt set in. That girl clearly didn't belong here. To innocent and to young. Yet with every glance he cast, his yearning to talk to her grew. She sat in the corner, surrounded by people yet alone and staring directly at him. She smiled, almost as if she could read his thoughts but that was impossible. Then she moved. Slow and calm, she leaned over and whispered something to a woman next to her. Then just as calmly, she stood and headed towards him.
People were starting to leave, with the exception of the small group in the corner and another group of people who were still dancing. The beat was dark and heavy, but he couldn't seem to concentrate on it. "Hell.." He began to introduce himself until her hand reached out. That small pale hand gripped his shirt tightly and with one simple pull, he stumbled forward, his mouth meeting hers. She kissed him hungrily, her teeth pulling at his lower lip. He wanted to close his eyes and lose himself but something kept him staring into the one fierce blue eye, the other hidden behind a white patch.
Blood began to run down the sides of his mouth and still she fed fiercely. Around them, the group she sat with moved picking off the few humans left. The bartender watched them all, beer in hand. As the life disappeared from his eyes, she pulled away and released his shirt. She watched the body crumple into a bloody mess in front of her. "Take care of this one for me Dave." She flashed a smile in the bartenders direction before turning and leaving the club.
In the cool night air, Anna could already smell more death and blood. The sidewalks were full of potential victims but nothing was calling to her. Boredom set in once more. A problem easily rectified.

A few hours later...
It was around noon, the sun was peeking behind heavy clouds and the city was active with people walking to and fro. The streets were the veins of the city and the people were the blood that kept it alive.
"I hope she can keep the heart beat going," Lacey softly said as she hesitated in the middle of the pavement. Her eyes trailed up the Empire State building, then to the dark, milky sky. Rain was coming.
Lacey ignored the people weaving around her and recalled on just what she was to do. Be on the lookout. Glancing down, she scanned the many faces that passed by. Some of them were business men, some of them were woman walking along, chatting on their cellular devices. And one, was watching her.
She almost missed him, but the glowing crimson eyes caught her. She turned a little, keeping her eyes on the man with the disheveled gray hair. He was dressed in a business suit and he held an umbrella over his head. He smiled at her, and the smile sent ice going down her back.
"Well, if it isn't the hunter's pet," the voice from the vampire was deep and cold.
Lacey felt some one creep up behind her, but she didn't dare move.
"If you touch her, I will have your head," said a tone that was dark and serious.
The vampire switched his eyes from the young girl, to the man standing behind her. "Hmph, I don't like it anymore anyways," he said, turning, he walked away.
"J, what the hell?!" Lacey snapped, turning around to fully face him. "It's still day, so why don't you go home and stay in bed?"
Jett cast a gentle smirk, looking down at her as if she were his baby sister. "I just want to share this umbrella with you."
"You are so stupid!" Lacey retorted, staring at him irritated.
