Long ago, before you was born, there was a bridge built from stardust linking Earth and a land known as Cykera, a land of peace among Halflings, humans, and creatures of the night. This land, and all its inhabitants, lived in one of the six kingdoms. There was the Fire Kingdom, ruled by King Anil, the Water Kingdom, ruled by King Kama, the Earth Kingdom, ruled by King Bharata, the Air Kingdom, ruled by King Biel, the Night Kingdom, ruled by King Nestor, and the Kingdom of Light, the center of Cykera, ruled by King Oscar and Queen Daphne. All the other kings had queens as well, but they all had many queens, to many to list. Now, beyond the main kingdoms were the outlying regions, regions for specific times or eras, regions owned by one family or regions where outcasts could find peace and forgiveness. There was once another kingdom, now known as the Lost Kingdom, which was destroyed during the Revolt of the Lost, wherein the Lost Kingdom tried to overthrow the government the Kingdom of Light had set up. You see, the Lost didn’t believe that Terrins, or people of completely magik free blood, should be allowed to be in Cykera, and they shouldn’t know about our existence. The Kingdom of Light set up a powerful army consisting of all the other Kingdoms, but the Lost had the outlying regions, and they were also strong. Ultimately, the Lost were defeated, and the remainder of them banished to the Lower Regions, the world that existed below Cykera. The Lower Regions were a place where crime lords ruled, and every other street held a strip club or a bar.

The story will follow one family, but in order to understand that, you need a little back knowledge on the start of this family. Isis Rythe, a powerful and beautiful vampire, and also the current Queen of the Fire Kingdom, gave birth to two beautiful little girls, one was a transmorgifier, or a shape shifter, the other, a deadly beautiful half vampire, born a mortal but able to be changed with one swift bite to the neck. The later was named Rosalind, and she was 5 years older than the prior, who was named Selene. Rosalind could transform into a deadly panther, and Selene made men fall at her feet with one word in her sickly sweet voice. Isis, however, was not cut out to be a queen or mother, and the girls were sent away. Rosalind was sent to the Night Kingdom, where King Nequior’s son, Prince Nestor, had just had a son not 2 years before she was born, and they were hurriedly engaged and she was raised to be the Queen of Night. Selene, with her frightening beauty and partial vamparity, was sent to the great magik lord, Reave Lebrum, who was as frightening as he was intriguing. Rosalind and the young vampire prince, Raphael, disappeared after several years when they realized they were in love, but Selene is the one we will focus on for the majority of this story.

Selene was sent to Reave when she was just a few months old, and Reave was just done with his apprenticeship with the great Merlin. Reave was like her older
brother, but also like her father, for he raised her from the time she could remember. Selene was also raised with two vampire boys, Kaiden and Gereth, and one girl, her closest friend, Liaran. These were her family, but also her greatest enemies, for they could kill her during her training to power. Reave was obsessed with his “students” becoming powerful and well known, but now that the Bridge of Empyreanth had been destroyed no one besides Cykera would know of them. At the end of the War of the Lost, the bridge was destroyed to appease the remainder of the Army of the Lost for fear that the remainder would again grow strong in the Lower Regions.

Now, over 100 years later, the bridge has been rebuilt. Reave, Kaiden and Gereth are the only ones remaining from the original group, new kings and queens have taken over, and many people have died. Reave, being a full magician, never aged after 35. Kaiden was a full vampire, and deadly fast as he was beautiful. Gereth was an elemental being, his element being Earth, and as long as Cykera was alive, Gereth was alive. What will you choose? Stay on Earth, or be one of the first people in over 3 centuries to see Cykera, and it's beings? Some of the beings still living may surprise you, as they have inheritances to many areas of the great land that haven't been dreamt of in over 200 years.
