The year is 2100.
Three years ago, a genetically altering virus was spread throughout the world and started to eliminate the already dwindling human population. The virus started in Japan, after a failed experiment to solve the population issue. Dr. Ken Imura, head scientist of the Shino Group, a group of scientists specializing in fixing the Population Crisis, developed a method to restore the population's stability. He suggested cloning a human being and altering the DNA of the copies so that they wouldn't have the same genes. The experiment was successful for a while, but something went awry: one of the clones had a negative reaction to the DNA Alteration Process, and his genes became infected with the Troglodyte Virus. His entire being underwent transformation, turning him into a horned beast. He fled, spreading his disease throughout the world. After infecting a great number of people, the creature went into dormancy.
As a result of this monster's creation, the Shino Group was disbanded. Dr. Ken Imura was imprisoned.
The monsters it created devoured humans around the world, and infected those they injured. The human population was slowly depleting, either being eaten by the Troglodytes or transformed into one of them. As the human population endured the Troglodyte assault, the remnants of the Shino Group began working toward a solution: they genetically engineered a group of four hunters that they would deploy and use to eradicate the Troglodytes.
This operation was performed in secret, as the Shino Group was no longer a legal operations company. The remaining members of the Shino Group went underground, renaming their squad D-Grade 717 (a play on the word "degrade") and began hunting the Troglodytes.
While the hunters did field work, the scientists supported them with intel and technological weaponry.
Their mission is simple: destroy all Troglodytes and restore the population. This is the story.

1. No godmodding. While you are a genetically-altered superwarrior, you aren't all-powerful and invincible.
2. This is a literate RP. Use capitalization and punctuation correctly. Make your posts legible, and take time on them. Also no run on sentences or sENTencEs LikE THiS OnE.
3. This RP is original. Don't bring themes from animes, videogames, movies, boks, etc into it. You can only do so with character pictures.
4. Be interesting. Don't post just to move the RP along. Make something happen. Also, don't make all posts just about battle. Develop the story, talk, make friends, build suspense.
5. Romance is allowed and encouraged .
6. Swearing is allowed.
7. Don't make battle posts boring; elaborate! Don't end it with one blow unless a lengthy battle isn't neccessary. Make combat posts as interesting as possible.
8. I should like to see the word grade in your character profile to make sure you read the rules.
