In ancient times, the land of Tarandrea was known for its heroes and their stories are to be heard throughout the land. Just there are no stories about great evils, only of evil wizards and bandits. In a time of peace and order, the Dark Order has been founded to turn against it and spread evil and chaos among the goody two-shoes of citizens in Tarandrea. The Dark Order is just a handful of people who have settled in the ruins of a dark temple, huge in size but relatively empty. They have become tired of the uneventful present and want to rebel against the order in the land. Some have joined because they seek to restore Tarandreas former glory to a time where heroes are needed while others generally have a malicious intent and enjoy the suffering of others. It is now time to raise the order to power.

The dark temple: The dark temple is a large ruin built into the side of a mountain. It contains huge rooms and many statues, some of which are terrifying in appearance. The main rooms are the sanctuary, the meditation room, the training room and the magic field, all of which can hold many hundreds of people. The sleeping quarters are somewhat smaller, but members of the order have the choice to build a home in the isolated valley behind the temple. There is also a large library where most books and scrolls are in mint condition, but to read most of them, it requires one to learn the old language. There are also rooms where services can be offered such as an armory, a forge and a garden.

The Dark Order ranks: There are four kinds of members: Clerics, Warriors, Assassins and Conspirators.

Clerics maintain the temple, consult followers and serve as leaders to the order. They are the scholars of the order and can teach the followers any knowledge they want to acquire. Ranks: Acolyte, Adept, Student, Monk, Lead Monk, Second Priest, Priest, Head priest and Grand Priest/priestess

Warriors defend the temple and go out on quests for the order. They have been trained by veterans of foreign wars and should not be taken lightly.
Ranks: Recruit, Soldier, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Corporal, Colonel, 1st Colonel, General, Master and Grandmaster

Assassins are the stealthy fighters of the order fulfilling assassinations, doing spy work and doing sabotage.
Ranks: Thief, Student, Liege, Spy, Saboteur, Assassin, Teacher, Master, Headmaster and Grandmaster.

Conspirators are people who sympathize with the order and regularly contribute to the order such as giving donations or resources. Most of them are simple citizens or traders. They have no ranks, yet if they become active members, they are likely to start a rank higher than a newbie.

Tarandrea: Tarandrea is a large land with a mountain range in the west with a couple volcanoes (pretty much where the temple is). A populous woodland and farmland area to the center. Oceans to the north and the east and desert to the south. The capital is Marksville.
