Introduction
Alef 3 is a mining colony in a system about 40 light years from earth. The miners dont get good pay in the main base and are slowly getting angry about the worsening life. Only the outpost quarry workers still have a better standard of living that they cant complain about. The main story plays in the outpost of Terraflex Industries Station 2. It belongs to a smaller company that is the corporate rival of Neodyne, the owner of the main base and most of the outposts. The outpost has been recently cut off from the main base because of an outbreak of civil war. Terraflex Industries actually supports the rebelling miners with food and medical supplies. Their miners are free to go help out in the war as long as a minimum of 20 miners are still at the outpost. The rp is about both those who go and those who stay.
The miners: There are three types of miners who are separated into different classes. There are humans, cyborgs and so called mechanoids. Mechanoids are humans who transform into machines for the work. There are different classes:
Logistical support: These are miners who pickup mined ores to take them to the refinery.
Basic miners: Basic miners are new miners who only have the job to break ore from the walls with jackhammers and vehicles.
Slammers: Slammers are people who use vehicles or mechanoids who break massive amounts of ore from the walls. The machines normally charge up their power and slam against walls with a large metal hammer (kind of like a jackhammer, just 20 times bigger and are slow). Slammers normally work in quarries since its to dangerous to work in shafts for them.
Dozers: Dozers load broken ore onto transports.
Other jobs:
Medical support: Nurses are common in medical stations to assist doctors.
Medical specialist: Also known as doctors.
Processing officers: Processing officers monitor the refining processes.
Jobs in areas: Technical support, offices, spaceport, etc.
Weapons of the miners:
Laser cutters, pistols, smgs, custom weapons made from equipment.
