Introduction

First, let me explain Kyra's and Kane's race: Magician. Magicians are very similar to humans, but with special powers. They range from shapeshifters, to elementals, to sorcery. They were a race in hiding for decades and humans (or the Ungifted as Magicians refer to them) took to mocking them with their own men skilled with trickery and illusions, believing that Magicians had disappeared completely. But now, they have become to surface again, and humans fear them greatly because at first glance, they appear to be a normal human, but there's no telling what their gift is. Magicians live among the humans, most trying to go unnoticed so they can live a normal life.

Kyra Mioni is on a quest for revenge. Three years earlier, her brother was beaten to death by a trio of punk teens. Her sibling's death traumatized her and she ran away from home, residing now in the woods just beyond Landers county. She vows to kill the men who murdered her little brother using the very force they tried to rid the world of.

Her brother was killed because of a skill feared in the world. A skill that Kyra also has. She's a sorceress, the most powerful branch of the Magician race, and she's mad. With the help of Kane, an Arch-Mage who forces himself through kindness to be included in her mission, they venture through the world, trying to locate the killers. But, on their way, they find a whole new evil. An evil that resides in a single girl named Celestine. And an evil that'll grow if it's not stopped immediately.
