"Thank you, Kayla." He said, grateful for her words and protection. Then he continued to Wolf's words. "I'm not surprised..." Abel said, hearing that his brother also had hired assassin. Had it been earlier and his heart not snapped in twain, he would have found the thought ill and disasterous... But now, now he saw it as an inevitably. He hated how things had happened. He hated that things had to be so difficult. This war was taking a toll on him and taking a toll on his heart. But he was not about to let that killer rise to the throne. He would not allow it!
"I wouldn't blame her if I were you wolf. She has always been loyal to me," Abel said about Kayla. "You're better off trying to argue a wall into submission... Though you can't blame her, considering your... Attributes." Abel said. Indeed, this man sent shivers down Abel's spine. He did not like to associate himself with the likes of people such as Wolf. But desperate times... Even Abel had his hand on the hilt of his sword for much of the conversation. He just flat out didn't trust the man, but to kill... Too bad that was why he needed him.
"Books you say?" Abel said, clearly surprised. "I didn't take you for the scholarly type, Wolf..." He admitted. "Though, if you do this job cleanly... Then I suppose you can take what you need out of the library." Abel said, wary. He wondered why did Wolf need the book, but he dared not ask. That was the man's own personal business and he wasn't going to ask about the man's interests. He finally rubbed his chin, tired at the day's events. Both emotionally and physically. yet the day was hardly done...
"Is there anything else you may need, Wolf?" Abel asked.
