"Don't be nervous. Biting isn't one of my functions... yet."
Name Phenom Ananke (Feh-nom Ah-nah-nk)
Age:
-21 When she became a Cyborg
-93 Now
Gender: female
Race: Cyborg (homo-sapien
Appearance: Phenom once looked quite average, but average is the last thing you'll think of her now. She stands a tall and lean height of 5'10, with an athlete's form covered in a few titanium aloid plates in such places as her shins, shoulders, and arms in the form of bracers between her wrists and elbows. Once she had smooth tan skin, but after the incident that made her become a cyborg, she now has light blue skin like a fair-skinned Kusabi. Her hair is nonexistent to most, piled onto her head and hidden by a long strip of black cloth that wraps around her head and holds the black and silver hair together. Phenom's face beholds full lips, a slender feminine nose, and thin painted brows that accentuate emotion. Her eyes are their natural hue of icy blue, pairing well with her new form though they were once seen as soft, and are no longer so gentle a gaze. Along the right side of her face is something like a headset that slides over her ear and reaches out to her face. One piece moves towards her lips and is a mic. The other piece is a monocle typed thing that is more metal than glass and allows thermal vision and night vision (though this feature slides back). The rest is a basic headphone that allows communication with frequencies she may choose to set it to.
Clothing: Phenom wears rather humanoid attire, though she is a cyborg. She wears a black longsleeve shirt that is a small 'v' neck, and hugs her figure down to her hips. The sleeves end just at her wrists. Her pants are pinstriped gray pants that are hug her hips yet are somewhat loose along the rest, and fall around her ankles. Phenom adorns black two inch heels that are boot-like with rubber grips and zip up a little ways below her knee. Her hair is kept in a long black wrap, tied up with pearl-like beads and flowing in silk pieces down just below her neck.
Ship: Battlefreighter
Personality: Phenom is the down-to-business kind of person that takes no shit from anyone. She likes having her business done, and maybe after it's all good and finished, perfect by her perfectionist ways, then she may schedule in a little fun. Phenom loves to feel the rush of adrenaline, and isn't afraid of anything. She tends to feel as though she is more machine than anything else anymore, but that feeling usually fades when she has something to busy herself with. Beneath those feelings that are usually looming on the surface of her thoughts; Phenom is kind, nurturing to those who need that side of her, and fearless to any who dare to intrude upon her fixed way of life.
Abilities:
Headset:
-communication with or from any frequency within 100 AU (astronomical units)
-Night Vision / Thermal Vision settings
-ship communication (intercom source or giving the ship AI commands)
Other:
-The thin aloid plates on her face allow her to feel disturbances in the atmospheric pressure as well as vibrations around her. This allows her a keener sixth sense almost that allows her to identify where people or enemies are around her, or what is coming and going.
-She is trained to use only two guns; both of which she is a perfect shot with almost every time. Her first is a simple pistol; a Magnum though. Powerful and deadly, usually tucked at her side along a utility belt should she have it on. Her other is an EMP pistol; distrubuting electrical energy that can destroy or interfere with weapons of the same caliber, control systems and panels, or other cyborgs' systems.
Weapon(s):
-EMP Pistol
-.45 Magnum
History: Phenom grew up rather normally for her status, on the planet of Isarias Prime. Her family was middle-class, and Phenom was sharp as a tack. Of course back then she was not named as such. Instead, her name was Piper Anon. She had straight-A's through Junior and Senior High Schools, and graduated a year early to progress to a two year college. Finishing that up a semester early as well, this intelligent young woman volunteered to go to Kusabi to aid in the small city-state battles and crimes. A program much like the Peace Corps allowed her such access; making it so that people like her could go and become teachers there, or run orphanages and schools. Of course humans maintained the same problems on the other planets, in the poorer slums, but Kusabi intrigued Piper's curiosity.
-
A year or two after having come, she'd made many friends and realized how intelligent and wonderful the Kusabi people were. But yet she had not seen signs of the battles and crimes she'd been warned about so much. One night after leaving the school she worked at in a local slum, Piper was viciously attacked by a group of humans seeking to gain revenge on the Kusabi. Though Piper had never though humans would be the cause of fighting, she could not really disagree. They attacked her, and then left her in her school building classroom after having set gasoline and oil to the place. Piper had been left to burn alive...
-
She woke up after her ''death'' as she saw it, about two months later. She was in the most immense pain imaginable; every inch of her skin either burnt or foreign. And by that, she really meant foreign. Some patches of skin were missing, having little bits of metal and circuiting wired against the raw meaty flesh inside of her. Piper cried out, but her voice was gone and her face heavily damaged. Looking again, she fainted.
-
The next time she awoke, she was no longer Piper. She had a tag on her that read "Phenomenon #5- Anke Project". She was different. So very different. Memories of her human life seemed unrealistic and almost unbelievable. Her heart told her they were true, but her mind had a hard time accepting it. She was torn between thought and logical reasoning. Phenom rose from the doctor's bed, seeing the mirror standing tall and rather wide against the wall.
Naked, Phenom was no longer human anymore. She could tell by the stitching she had had skin grafts from fresh Kusabi cadavers. Some metal plating was placed on her where her real skin was; perhaps where it was lesser torched than the rest. Her vision was keener, her mind a neurological step forward now. Thinking took half of a millisecond. The world around her moved in such slow motion it were as if it were almost not moving at all. Phenom collapsed not too long after from a circuitry overload that shorted her out before she could run off or panic.
-
Years and years have passed. When Phenom got out of the hospital six years later, she was completely different from the tortured human teacher who cared and loved back when he entered. Things were confusing, she didn't understand a lot anymore. She could top some of the smartest geniuses in history ten times over now, though she kept most of her wisdom to herself on occasion. Instead, she decided to work in a mining ship, before purchasing a battle freighter and setting out into space to lead her own path- a rather cold hard woman with a jaded sense of humor.
