Important events:
First development of N-SC's: In 2018, the first clones were developed. These were non-sentient creatures that were used for simple tasks that were repetitive in nature. They were replaced with sentient clones in 2022, which had nano-tech circuitry inside their brains to control them.
Neuro-gene unlocked: In 2028, the neuro gene was "unlocked." This genetic modification allowed the subject to utilize more of their brain than they would naturally.
GSE's take on disease-like properties: This was the start of the GSE epidemics, which later infected more than 60% of the world's population.
Novorossiysk Incident: When a shipment of sentient clones was transported with a shipment of GSE strain F935E6, the clones became infected, and the first "Zombies" were created.
WWIII starts: When China attacks the USA over a genetic modification argument, the world launches into the third world war. This does not end until 2042, two years after first nuclear launch.
Main "races" of the world: (This is composed of the main GSE strains and natural races on the earth.)
GSE strain G163E0: (Werewolf strain)
Advantages: Improved senses, claws, and teeth.
Disadvantages: bestial-like emotions, all traits become augmented during nighttime activity.
GSE strain F935E6: (Zombie strain)
Advantages: Strength, immune to flesh wounds, no fear.
Disadvantages: Insanity, uncontrollable hunger for human flesh, subservient to lich master.
GSE strain T824E9: (Vampire strain)
Advantages: Speed, strength, endurance, immune to flesh wounds, long life.
Disadvantages: Uncontrollable hunger for human blood, sunlight weakness.
Humans: (No GSE strain)
Advantages and disadvantages: Normal human traits.
Lich: (Nano-tech enhanced ancients)
Advantages: Control over zombie GSE strain, knowledge of some past technology.
Disadvantages: Must surround themselves with an aura of freezing air to keep nano-tech functional, insanity is common.
World powers:
The pure ones: A group of vampires who believe that they are the only “pure” creatures, and that all others should be vanquished.
The ancients: Headed by a lich who believes that he is an ancient king reborn, this cult consists of hordes of zombies headed by lich.
Wolf clan: A group of werewolves similar to the pure ones, they believe that only werewolves are true beings, and the others are all evil demons.
Liberty fighters: These are humans who think that all GSE infected are freakish animals who should be killed.
Cities and places:
New York: A melting pot for all the different cultures of the apocalypse.
Ammakandakara: A city in India where the main base of the Wolf Clan is located.
Novorossiysk: The Russian port city capital of The Ancients.
Sunderland: The headquarters of The Pure Ones.
Washington, D.C.: The main base of the Liberty Fighters.
Subciv system: An international underground transit method controlled by pre-war computers.
Rules
-No meta gaming. For example, almost no one in the game world knows about pre-war tech.
-Keep posts about a paragraph in length, not too long or short.
Character creation rules:
-Make a fully detailed character. I'm not going to go into details, but list their age, looks, sex, race, job, ect.
-Keep character within reasonable bounds. I'm not against imaginative characters, but don't go and give your char superpowers without explanation. If, however, you give a good explanation and some good disadvantages to go with it, I might accept the character.
-Don't alter the game lore too much. Its ok to add a few minor events and details, but don't go overboard.
Also, make sure to check the OOC board often as that's where I will be posting updates and such.

Re: [OOC] Death's touch
This might be a silly question, but in one view of the character list (the one under my "roleplays" tab) there are three characters, and on the character list here, there are only two. Does that mean something? Also, are you playing, Tosha? Sorry, I'm kind of new to this, so...
