Personality

Mira is generally upbeat and optimistic, if a bit impulsive and fiery. She won't take an insult laying down, and is more than ready to demonstrate her skills for anyone who doubts her.

Equipment

Abilities: Judo 3rd dan, Aikido 2nd dan, and kendo 1st dan. Can see spirits. Also is completely awesome at baseball. Is learning Kung Fu.

Weapons: Doesn’t carry any, but she is a martial artist and a swordswoman.

History

Almira was born in Tokyo to a happily married couple, her mother Japanese and her father English. She lives with them, her maternal grandparents, and her older bro in a medium house outside of the main city, in the outskirts. She goes to Esaki Leo High School, which holds its classes in both English and Japanese. She can speak both fluently. She has seen spirits all her life, and only knew what they were when she mentioned them to her bro when she was about eight. Her entire family can see them, parents and grandparents included, and they are often called upon to settle disputes between spirits. When not doing that, she cooks for her families small restaurant in town. She is an amazing cook. Her brother, however… Not so much…
She is very close to her dark brown haired, blue-green eyed nineteen year-old brother, Katsu. Her brother skipped three grades in Junior High School, and has degrees from places like Harvard and MIT. He is a certified genius, but has always found time for his little sis. Almira has always recognized this, and thus they are very, very close. Katsu can also see spirits, and knows much about them. He is also one of those rare people who are both smart and likable [Post-script: or at least not too overbearing].
Almira hates being called Almira. She either goes by Mira or Aura, whichever the other wants to say. The only ones who don’t call her those are her parents and grandparents, who call her by her actual name, and her brother, who calls her Al along with the other two. She is addicted to Anime, her favorite two being Yu Yu Hakisho and Black Cat. She is pretty bright, but she screws around in school and gets B’s and C’s. The exception is gym; she takes that very seriously. She is a good enough baseball player for an America AA league. Her favorite team is the Red Sox.
