Introduction
Almost 200 years ago a blight struck out, and in one of the earlier battles all but two Grey Wardens were wiped out. Since then they have grown in numbers and are back to their previous glory. There have been no sign of dark spawn for many years, and the world has lived peacefully, for the most part. However all is not calm amongst the grey wardens, they are all starting to sense something, something unnerving, something like they've never felt, and darkness begins to encroach on their world again.
History:
The last Blight almost wiped out the grey wardens in a single battle, for they were betrayed by an ally who retreated from the field and then accuses the last survivors of treason. These grey wardens were strong, and persevered through it all to gain allies and restore order in the government by clearing their names and ending the blight. They knew there would be more blights in the future so they started to rebuild and create new grey wardens. They gained in numbers slowly and have slowly gained back their former glory bit by bit until the present. These grey wardens are revered all across Ferelden as Lord Alistair and Lady Athena.
Government wise since the lat blight not much has changed, there's still a monarchy with many twisted and ruthless people, still a need for assassins, still elven servants, and other things of the like. The capital of Ferelden is still Denerim, and many villages haven't grown much. Two new changes are the large cities of Lythian and Lokeden they are bother major trade cities and usually full of different kinds of people as is Denerim.

Elves are divided into two groups, the City Elves and the Dalish Elves. Many elves were enslaved long ago and taken to server in the city. Since then they have gotten a little more respect and aren't treated as badly, many large cities have alienages, districts where elves live without being servants. These districts are usually walled off from the rest of the city. Elves are looked at as second class citizens and still often mistreated by nobility.
While the Dalish Elves had always avoided capture and still live in the forests and try to retain what history of their olden ways they still have left. they aren't very open to intruders near their camps and even city elves are treated with distrust and made unwelcome most of the time. They are a proud group of elves who are more in tune with nature and things of the like.
Basically if you're an elf your choices are:
City: Alienage, Servant, or Traveler
Dalish: Dalish Village
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Humans are either nobles, royalty, or normal peasants, and the social standings of such are self explanatory. They can come from just about anywhere and are very versatile in their settlements.
Basically if you're a human your choices are:
Noble, Peasant, Royalty, Traveler
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dwarfs keep the the northern and western mountainous regions and while are much friendly and closer to humans than elves are they still retain a bit of privacy. The Dwarfs usually either stay in their settlements all their lives with a communistic type government or they become traveling merchants or mercenaries and travel the lands.
Basically if you're a dwarf your choices are:
Traveling Merchant, or Traveler

Lilith
It was early morning, the sunlight was starting to pierce the canopy of the trees. At the base of a tree Lilith was sitting with a staff and paper in her lap. She shifted around and mumbled in her sleep, "NO!" she sat forward with her eyes wide open and panted heavily. She took a moment to compose herself slightly then tears started to form in hers eyes and she stared into her lap not seeing it or the staff but looking through it.
"It wasn't a dream, ... it really happened," she mumbled in a shaken voice. She flashed back onto the events of the prior day.
** Flash Back **
Lilith was adorned in a beautiful wedding white dress that suited her perfectly. She was standing on a stage with her arm intertwined with her fiance', Skylar's, arm. They were smiling and couldn't seem happier while the mother priestess read the prayers of marriage. Then it happened, some human noble men came into the alienage and started causing a ruckus.
"Mi'lords this is a wedding!" the priestess protested and glared at the noble men.
"Oh come now mother you know this isn't even a proper wedding," one of the nobles said as he walked up on the stage. The other noblemen grabbed elven women in the crowd. The nobleman that walked up on the stage walked over to Lilith and leaned down and smiled at her smugly, "Yes you'll do nicely," he said as he cradled a lock of her hair in his hand.
He went to grab Lilith but Skylar pushed her behind him. "You'll not touch her," he said as he bravely defended his bride. He glared at the nobleman who in turn glared back.
"You dare defy me? You ... you scum!" he yelled, he went to punch Skylar but Skylar blocked it easily. The nobleman, however, had a hidden dagger and grabbed it and stabbed Skylar right in the heart. Skylar fell to the ground and started to bleed for a few moments before the flow stopped. "Damned elf got blood on my clothes," the noble man muttered as he walked over to Lilith.
Lilith fell to her knees and stared at Skylar's corpse in dismay. "It wasn't supposed to happen like this," she thought in disbelief. "It wasn't supposed to be this way!" she thought as the nobleman went to grab her. "No ... no ... noooooo!" she cried out as magical energies flew all around her. Lighting sprang from her and shot through the nobleman in many different places. Stray bolts hit the other noblemen and destroyed some nearby buildings and part of the stage. Then everything went black for Lilith.
** End Flash Back **
Lilith looked around as she wiped away her tears and recomposed herself yet again. She looked at the staff in her lap. The staff was made of a deep brown wood and had purple gems with pink swirls in them spinning and floating in place around it. A note was on it, it read:
Lilith,
I'm so sorry for what happened, but we had to handle it quickly before the human guards found you. Look around the tree there should be a bag hidden nearby with the clothes we found you in a long time ago, they're still a bit tattered but they were actually the best traveling clothes we had for you. Also there is a small bag of money to help you in getting along. Just leave the damaged wedding dress in the bag where you found it and we'll come back and get it and made it look like you died so you won't have to worry about people looking for you. You may want to lay low in the Denermin area for a while still, I suggest traveling south towards Red Cliffe and the Kocari Wilds. You should be able to safely visit eventually though, I'll miss you until then, good luck.
Your friend,
Alita
P.S. the staff was my grand mama's she said to give it to someone who could use it and would use it right and you're the best person I know to trust it to I hope it helps some how.
Lilith sighed and sat for a few moments then got up and looked around the bushes around the tree until she found the bag, and changed, then she grabbed the money pouch and set off. "I've never been this far out of Denerim before.... I hope I can find this Red Cliffe place...." she mumbled as she walked. She seemed spaced out and distant from the world as she found a road and started to follow it.
She passed by a few people and asked them for help but they simply brushed her off and stuck their noses up at here. "Wow even on the road people are rude to elves, I thought it was just nobles," she thought as she kept walking. She walked for most of the day and when it was finally sunset she came to a town called Lothering. It was a fair size village but still a village, small and only about the size of her Alienage. She walked around for a few minutes and it started to rain just as she saw a tavern across a bridge. She quickly ran to it and then walked inside only getting slightly dampened by the rain.
She kept her head down and didn't met the eyes of the people who gazed at her, some with disdain, some with curiosity and even some with a perverse gleam. She found a table, slightly secluded from the rest, on the second floor of the tavern. She sat down and a barmaid soon came over to her and asked her what she wanted. Lilith ordered a drink and set her staff against the wall just to her left. She watches the flames in the fireplace on the first level flicker and could still feel the eyes of one or two individuals on her but tried to ignore it. Soon after the barmaid came up with her drink and Nyx paid for it with money from her own stash deciding not to use her friend's money on something so petty.
Soon after two men sat at the table she was at and started to talk to her, "Some times I wish I was ugly," she thought as they began attempting to flirt with her.
"So babe hows about you let us get a better look at that face? I normally don't go for elves but in your case I may make an exception," one of them said as Lilith kept her head down.
"Yeah, and who knows, we may both want to give you the honor of bedding us," the other one said. The continued to say slightly vulgar things to her and she continued to keep her head down and try to ignore them.
"Please leave I have no wish to have any issues break out," she said quietly but sternly. Both of the mean leaned forward and smiled smugly.
"I like 'em feisty," one of them said and slowly reached out to grab her.
OOC Notes
Thus far he had spent the whole week out combing the streets, taverns, shops, even the residential quarters. His well known status as a Grey Warden granted him many freedoms here that he took every advantage of. He had the layout of the whole town cemented firmly in his head now, including the insides of the shops, and taverns, and even the resident's quarters. For being such a historically important town it sure was a boring and bland place. Nothing like Orlais had been...best to not let his mind stray there. He had forsaken that life and those times a long time ago now.
Wearily, he continued his trudge into the tavern. He wasn't all that enthusiastic about resorting to such cliche measures, but the truth was that even in small towns like this the taverns were still the best place to listen around for information. As he entered, all eyes turned upon him. Like every other time, he wondered if maybe he shouldn't telegraph himself so much by wearing his usual outfit, but instantly he shrugged the thought away. By now they would all know who he was anyway and trying to hide that would make the Grey Wardens look bad.
Cynoc adopted a charming smile as the bar maid came to take his order, and with a wave of the hand, a wink, and a pinch on the bottom, she was off getting his usual non-alcoholic beverage. He didn't like to muddle his mind up at all, he required it to be fully functional at all times. He sat in silence as he scanned the room with his eyes without actually moving them, noting that there were only the usual patrons and citizens of the town inside. He suppressed sighing and hid it with a light stretch as the tavern doors opened, letting in a young elven girl. Cynoc quickly went back into his resting position, keeping his eyes secretly locked on the girl. He hadn't seen her here in town before, and she looked travel weary. Chances were she had just gotten into town and had come here first.
That wasn't what held his attention most though. There were two other things he instantly noticed about her, and he pondered over while she sat and ordered herself something. The first was that she was a mage. Or at lease had the ability to use magic and had done so before. He was able to tell that sort of thing from observing someone as easily as being able to tell what color their hair was. The most important thing though, was what she did to him. The second his eyes touched her as she walked in, he felt his tainted blood stir. That of course could only mean one of two things, and he prayed to the Maker that it was the better of the two.
He was forced to actually look at her as she was blocked from his view. From what he could see and started to hear once he strained his ears in their direction, the two were flirting with her. It was obvious the advances were unwanted, and even racist in their nature. Something kicked on inside Cynoc, and he was surprised to realize it was an actual feeling of anger, small though it may have been. Anyway, he realized that he needed to do something before things got out of hand here and he lost this chance.
Cynoc stood and made his way over to the table gracefully and easily, but quickly. Just as one of the men started to reach for her, Cynoc's katana blurred through the air not even an inch away from the man's outstretched finger tips and quietly stuck into the top of the table horizontally, almost as if creating a barrier between them and the elven woman. Cynoc in the same motion fluidly sat in place at the fourth bench, positioning himself closest to the girl. His stare was stern and dismissive, and as he opened his mouth it was already apparent he would brook no nonsense, "Excuse me gentleman, I do hope you're not disturbing my special guest here."

Lilith
Lilith was read to grab her staff and bash the man's hand as another man sat down net to her and quickly and effectively swiped his katana between the man's hand and Lilith without hitting either of them or even nicking the table. She looked up at him, he was a fair bit taller than her and was adorned in a deep blue outfit lined with some silver reinforced parts. His hair short and blue and he eyes an icy light blue that seemed to pierce without trying to.
"Why you!" one of the men was clearly angry and about to start something when the other man grabbed him and started to whisper to him. All Lilith could hear was something about being a Grey Warden. The man that was about to throw a punch got a slightly scared look on his face and then said, "My apologies sir I didn't know the good lady was a friend of yours," he said and then they both quickly shot up out of their chairs and scampered away.
She moved her hand away from her staff and looked back to the man. "I'm sorry to cause you any trouble, but thank you for that. It's the first break I've caught the passed couple of days," she said. She could hear people at a table near them talking.
"I heard one of the elves went into some sort of rage and killed three nobles," a woman said.
"Yeah and I heard that a good portion of the alienage they were in was damaged and destroyed too," another woman replied.
She faltered for a moment but quickly hid it replacing it with her smile again. "I ... killed those men.... and hurt those people and have caused everyone so much trouble..." she thought. She realized she hadn't introduced herself, "Oh I'm sorry! I'm Lilith...." she hesitated and added, "I'd tell you my last name, but I don't know it," she said in a casual cherry tone.
"I was found on a riverbank, with amnesia, outside of Denerim about two years ago. I haven't gotten any of my memories back so I don't know much of my past so I don't have much to tell, last name included," she added with a giggle. then she sipped some of her drink and looked back at him, "Who are you though? Everyone I've encountered has been a bit racist, so I was beginning to think it was a common thing. This is my first time out of the city so I don't know much about the area." she explained.
The fire crackled and the tavern was actually already starting to empty. One of the barmaids walked up and said that something had come up and that they would have to leave so before he could even answer any of her questions they were shooed out of the tavern. "Looks like I'm sleeping in the wilderness tonight," she mumbled as she looked up at the moon.
The moonlight reflected in her gem like pink eyes and shone off her pale skin causing her to look almost like a serene ghost. She then glanced back over at the man, "Oh, I'm sorry I seem to sort of space whenever I look up at the moon, I must seem pretty weird," she said and then started to walk off. "At least that storm was a quick one..." she thought, "I should probably take my leave of him, judging by that guys reaction, what ever a grey Warden is it would either be really bad or really good for me to stay in his company," she though.
She turned around on her heel to bid him goodbye but instead just gazed at him and didn't say anything. "What's wrong with you, why are you waiting for him to answer your questions Lilith? If you stick around with this guy chances are you'll cause him lots of trouble.... even if you are all alone now," she thought as she looked at him, he confusion in her mind hidden behind a somewhat spacey look in her eyes.
OOC Notes
Before he even had a turn to say his first word to her, they were ushered out of the tavern for some reason, Cynoc guessed he probably knew why, and they were left standing alone outside in the moonlight. Once again, before he could get a word in edgewise, she started up once again. Suddenly, standing there looking at her under the moonlight, staring up at the moon, she looked so... serene, and peaceful, and so breathtakingly beautiful. He wasn't sure if he had ever seen a creature as beautiful as her before, and he had been all over and seen a lot. He was momentarily captivated, but shook it off as it appeared she would be leaving. Now was his chance to finally say something. Quickly adopting the correct persona, he went for it.
"Ahhh, um, well, my name is Cynoc. Please, will you stay with me tonight Lilith? Um, oh Maker, I didn't mean with me, I meant at the inn with me. See, truth is I've reserved a second room for a friend of mine who hasn't shown up yet, and I'm not sure if I expect them in to soon. So it would make me happy to know you were safer in the inn, and that the room I was paying for didn't go to waste. Besides, it appears you may have already attracted a little unwanted attention here, and you'd be better off where you could call for help. Not that you can't handle yourself, but still it would make me feel better. Also, the woods around here are haunted by worse things then ghosts, even the most grizzled veterans don't dare go out into them at night. So again, please, wont you take the room next to mine for the night? It sure would make me feel a whole lot better if I knew you were close by and safe." He made sure to blush and act embarrassed as he quickly did some rambling of his own. Giving off the impression of being a shy but kind and friendly young man was just to easy for him to pull off anymore, though it was quite effective. For now, he just needed to be able to stick close by her and observe her some more. He had to find out what was causing that feeling inside of him to stir up. Meekly, he dropped his gaze away from her face and fiddled with his fingers while he waited for her response.
OOC Notes
He stopped closing his eyes and letting a small wind blow trying to concentrate on a feeling, or an urge, whatever it was as it led him to the tavern of the small village, though the stopped soon to see two people standing out front of the Tavern, a small smile did close over his lips, as he moved in closer, his stealth skills helping him move silently, and hopefully unseen as he decided to listen in on their conversation, He knew the Warden; well knew of him, and wondered how he handled himself around other's that weren't Tainted like them. The conversation made him step out of his hiding places and close the distance. "My, why would you be in such a small Village my friend..?" he asked his question directed at The other warden, his lips curling into a smile, the small breeze blowing his black locks around his face, so it was partly covered, though small features could be made out, his eyes, and smile was about it. He stood there, though he did bow slightly. "I'm sorry to intrude..I"m Lucas, as i've been called." He said calmly and rose back to stand tall, looking from one person to the other, the curiosity in his eyes was unmistakable.

Lilith
Lilith listened to the man speak and reiterate over and over how he would feel better knowing she was safe and close by, but she knew one of two things about the man and she didn't try to hide it. "Sir Cynoc, I could tell back in the tavern you were a strong confident man. Don't try to act timid now that you've shown me how you really act, it makes you look like you're plotting something." she said with a slightly smug smile. Then she giggled and added, "...But I'm not one to turn down help where it's offered and if the wilderness in this area is really that dangerous then I suppose that I will take you up on your offer," she said as she started to walk back towards him.
She was about to say something else when another man showed up. "When did he get there?" she thought as she listened to the other man speak. He was an elf, a tall one, she couldn't help but already feel more comfortable being around another elf and it showed in her body language, although only one trained to read body language would notice. She smiled at the elf who introduced himself as Lucas. "Hello Sir Lucas, I'm Lilith, pleased to make your acquaintance," she said to him.
She noticed as the wind shifted and looked back to see the storm clouds were being carried back with the wind. "We should probably head towards the inn then, it seems as though the rain will be coming back soon," she said. For a moment the thought came up that this man might be the friend that Cynoc was referring to but then she realized that Lucas had introduced himself to Cynoc as well so it couldn't have been him. the rain hit and they all quickly made their way to the inn.
The inn's lounge had some chairs, a fireplace, a desk and stairs and a hallway that lead to rooms. Lilith took a seat near the fireplace to help her dry off quicker and she looked up at the two men that she now found herself in to company of. "Soooo, what brings you two here if you don't mind my asking?" she asked trying to start up some friendly conversation. the thought struck her mind and she also couldn't help but to ask it as well. "And ... those guys from the tavern, said something about Grey Wardens...." she hesitated worried that she may sound stupid for asking but continued, "What's a Grey Warden?"
OOC Notes
It was at this point that another elf showed up. The first thought that touched Cynoc's mind was that it was an elf come here for Lilith, but instantly the thought was brushed away. The elf carried himself extremely well, and appeared well armed. Cynoc felt that usual tinge from his tainted blood as the elf closed the distance between them, and knew who and what he was before he even spoke.
Not needing to hide from Lilith anymore, and now facing a fellow Grey Warden, Cynoc reassumed his usual stoic nature and nodded respectfully to Lucas. "Lucas. You appear to know who I am, and if not then my friend Lilith here has just confirmed it. I know you, as well. Beautiful Swordsman Lucas." Cynoc said tonelessly, his eyes dropping to stare at the elf's weapons. Having Lucas around would probably be for the best, he could definitely help things out if they were on the worse side of what Cynoc feared. That was if the elf was going to be sticking around for long. Cynoc just hoped it wouldn't deter Lilith away from him for the time being. Lilith had started off and called them after her, so Cynoc looked back again to meet Lucas' gaze. "Well why don't we go get comfortable? I'm sure the innkeeper can spare another room here for a comrade of mine, and we can share what we're doing here." Cynoc proposed, then motioned for Lucas to follow him as he followed Lilith to the inn.
Cynoc made the arrangements with the innkeeper before joining Lilith and Lucas in the lounge and taking a seat to relax himself a little.
"Well to answer your last question, we are Grey Wardens, Lucas and I. Grey Wardens are keepers of the peace, though we are not lawmen. The peace we keep is world peace, and that is by way of battling the Darkspawn. Whenever a Blight rises up to threaten all of Thedas, it is the duty of the Grey Wardens to meet that threat head on and vanquish it. Only one of our order can slay the Archdemon, the most powerful and leader of the Darkspawn hordes, and return peace to all of Thedas. In times of peace, like now, we try to bolster our numbers and keep strong and vigilant as we wait for the next time we are needed. Also, we are always needed to fight the Darkspawn where ever they pop up, whether it be during a Blight or not." Cynoc let the long explanation flow out from his mouth calmly and evenly. "As for why I am here, I was asked to come by a wise seer from our Order named Grindoa to this place to wait for someone. I know not who, only that I am to try to bring them over to our cause. Well, that's my side of things. Tell me, Lucas, what brings you this far south?" Cynoc asked, interest showing through his voice as he looked interestedly at Lucas.
OOC Notes
"I'm here on a mission to regret more Dalish into our Ranks, I figured if we had more scouts, we'd be better suited for coming battles, I was given Leave as well, so I've no need to return to soon.." He said calmly leaning against the wall close to the fireplace. "I'm also here just for curiosity, and you've helped to clear that up Cynoc.." He said calmly and added a cheerful smile, one that didn't fit to well with his body language. the way he stood, the way he positioned himself, it all held the careful training of an assassin and most, Warden's know of his past, and of the nickname of when he was hidden by shadows. "But if need be I can travel with you for a time, I've not found to many Clans around the wilds, and the rains are a source of a sort of depression for most." He said as he closed his eyes, the feeling of a pair of eyes on him made him smile, "Sometimes I wonder if being known As beautiful is a good thing.." He said with a chuckle as he met the eyes of a passerby, that instantly looked away as quickly as possible.
He then returned his gaze to Lilith. "What brings you to Lothering, I have a feeling that your not here to stay.." He said calmly his arms uncrossing and then recrossing after a stretch, his body becoming more relax and his guard slowly decreasing, being he couldn't hear any heavy steps that usually ment warning for an attack. "Though, in Truth i was wondering if you had met any Dalish from your travels.." He directed the question to both of them, to find clues for his own mission.

Eros stayed on his path, and though his journey was long he always had his faithful companion by his side. Rex was a tough Marbarie hound. His muscular physique only made him all the more scary to be around, though he would listen to his master regardless. Rex's fur was as black as the night sky, though to tell him apart and to recognize him at night a very distinctive white paste was put on his back in intricate shapes and went down to his four paws. Eros himself looked similar to his hound, being with a very muscular physique, though he wore the armor of the Templar's...extravagant that it was there were differences in it however. The robes that were shown underneath the armor were a different color, more black then anything. The garnishing and symbols that are on most Templar armor were not the same on his. He picked these different symbols to represent different things such as death, life, and other abstract meanings.
They walked along the road to visit the city of Denerim, where Eros will look for more recruits and hopefully find some. Though he has many friends in Denerim, as do most people...Denerim was by far the most populated city in Ferelden. As the night seemed to creep in, they hadn't been able to see the city yet...Eros figured they had maybe three more hours to get to Lothering. So he thought they could use a rest for tonight. Eros set up camp on the side of the road. After making a large tent and a fire he took off his armor to relax and starred up int the night sky while petting his hound who lie on his lap.

Lilith
Lilith listened to Cynoc's explanation with curiosity and it lead to another question, "I'm sorry I may have known all this before but this is the first time I remember hearing of such things. The only think I've heard about dark spawn is that they are some kind of creature that's hostile, ... but I do hope you find who you're looking for," she added with a charming smile.
Then she patiently listened to Lucas' explanation as swell and seemed a bit interested in it. "The Dalish elves? I've heard of their mentions in the alienage. Atina said I might even be from one of their clans... but I've never visited and right now wouldn't be the best time for me to head back that way," she said with an ironic chuckle. The fire crackled quietly for a few moments then Lucas' asked her why she was there. Suddenly she became unsure on if she should lie to them or not, and deep down she felt if she did lie they would be able to tell.
She was silent for a moment and then sighed, "I'm here because I am a fugitive who will be pronounced dead in a few hours. I was told to come to one of the towns this way called Red Cliffe, they said that I would be say there." she then smiled a somewhat calm yet bitter smile and continued her explanation, "Cynoc already knows this but two years ago I was found a little ways outside Denerim on a river bank with no memory of my past. The elf that found me and brought me to the safety of the alienage was named Skylar. At first everyone but he was weary of me, but with his help they all came to accept me, over time he became my closest friend. Yesterday, or two days ago, I'm not sure what time it is, we were to be married.... but in the middle of the ceremony some nobles came into the alienage. They tried to take some of the maiden elves there to have "fun with" as they would have put it. I was one of them, but Skylar defended me, and the coward of a nobleman had a hidden dagger and killed him. After that it all goes a little fuzzy, but I know those three men are dead and the blame rests with me." she explained it all quietly so no one could possibly eavesdrop.
Her face was a mask of calm that she used to fight back any tears that wanted to well up. She let out a soft laugh and added, "Honestly I'm not sure where to go, it seems that every where I go I bring bad luck to those around me." then she looked at her hands in her lap and a thought crossed her mind. "If I did that to those men.... what have I done in my past that I don't remember?" she thought. then she looked back up at the two, "I understand if you two no longer want me in your company or if you have any questions I'll answer them as best as I can," she said.

As they passed the Brecilian Forest, Eros started to get many visions that were...disturbing. His hound also couldn't stop trembling and barking at the overgrown forest as if they were being watched. Though the visions Eros had were terrifying and he could not make out what they meant. He knew though that they were in dire need of recruits.
After their pass of the Brecilian Forest things settled down. They could soon see the castle walls of Denerim and the large tower of Fort Drakon, where it was said that the last Grey Wardens slain the mighty Archdemon. A marvel that Eros would not mind visiting. Not long did they enter the city gates, many people passed them on their way to the markets. The people did not look at Eros as if he were a stranger though...in fact they looked at him as if they were a hero of some sort. Eros did not know what to make of this marvel and was to nervous to ask. All he could think of was that he must have done something to get the people on his side...but what...

He had only just started to drink for the day, and already he was itching for a fight. Granted his dwarven blood always held that allure for him, it was intensified in taverns and around ale and rum and any other alcohol he could get into his body. He wasn't even anywhere near being drunk yet, but the energy of the place and the difficulty of getting drunk in peace were already starting to get on his last nerve. He held himself in check though, he had already been thrown out of three bars in the city, and he wasn't sure how many more were out there if he lost this one as well. Besides, the Darkspawn piss here wasn't so bad.
Loosening his axe across his back, Guiroc grunted and grumbled at the barkeep as he brought him a fresh mug, then proceeded to consume it.

There it was again. Cynoc checked himself to make sure he wasn't showing any emotions, but he had felt on again. At the thought of her in danger or despair, anger or sadness threatened to well up from within him. He would have to consider that once he was alone in his room tonight. For now, he had to focus on her. He once again showed friendliness and sympathy.
"I'm sorry about your fiancee, Lilith, and that you had to leave your new home behind. Fear not our scorn, however. We understand that you were merely defending yourself from the unjust actions of evil men. As a matter of fact, if I may be so blunt, on the contrary to your worries, I would like to ask you to join me. As a Grey Warden. I would imagine Lucas can feel it too, that there's something in you that resonates with us. I believe you are the one I was sent here to wait for. By all means I was intending on leaving tomorrow if no one showed up, but you have shown up and fit the requirements perfectly. Of course if you want to know more about us, you would learn it all in due time, but I feel that we really need you right now, Lilith. You would not be mistreated or disrespected amongst our order, and in truth, you would be respected throughout most all of Thedas. Your past life and transgressions would be erased as well, the business in Denerim no longer a concern for you to carry. I understand if you want some time to think about it, it is late after all. If you would like, I can let you sleep on it and wait until tomorrow to answer."
__________________________________________________ Nazka
Blasted Chasind Wilders! Nazka cursed loudly in her mind. She downed her fourth mug of ale and slammed it down on her table, a clear sign to the bar maid by now that she wanted another one, and fast. Indeed, the young lady whisked by in good time and snatched the mug away, not ever stopping to look at Nazka as she zigzagged her way through the throng of people currently inhabiting the large tavern where Nazka was.
She had lost them all. The Qunari mercenary troupe she had traveled with for the past five years were now all dead. They had received a commission to go into the Korcari Wilds and retrieve something someone had lost there, in suspected Chasind territory. They had all heard the stories of the Wilders, and of ghosts and witches and things even worse that lurked the Wilds. Qunari did not fear such tales, and they had been eager to get into the Wilds and complete their task. But then... with the buildup of alcohol in her stomach already, Nazka didn't want to think about and picture what had happened on top of that. There was no way she would have been able to handle it. She needed something to distract herself with, something other then just the alcohol. Her eyes scanned the room, already knowing there wouldn't be any men or boys here pretty enough to bed. Even the alcohol didn't lower her standards. Something did catch her eye though. An odd looking dwarf sitting alone at the bar, drinking quietly. A smile touched her lips momentarily as she rose, her mark selected.
Nazka made her way through the crowd, eyes locked on the dwarf and the open seat next to him. She skirted around a man who swung his arms wide as she came upon him, yelling about something being so big, then rose back to full height as she passed his arm span. That was when she felt a hand grab her butt. Instantly she had spun in a full three hundred and sixty degrees circle and planted a kick directly into the man's chin, sending him flying off of his bench and to the floor. Laughter erupted from the table he was at, but no one moved to help him and the merriment continued on all around his limp form as if nothing had happened. Nazka glared for only a moment before turning back towards the bar. The spot was still open. She closed the distance quickly and took a seat next to the dwarf, angling her legs seductively towards him and smiling the same way as well.
"How would you like to drink with a real woman?" she called out to him.
