Gender: Male (sorry, I had to... he didn't work as a girl)
Description: Shalen is quite large, especially for a baby dragon. He is built powerful, rather than flexible. And he needs to be powerful, because he was born with only two legs, and so he can not walk as well as most baby dragons. His scales are a brilliant gold, and his eyes bright emerald. His claws are exceptionally long, and his wings are larger and more powerful than usual, strengthened because he has learned to use flapping and short bursts of gliding to aid his walking. Though he has no spines on his back, he has two fierce horns on his head that jut backwards, like the horns of an antelope, and he has vicious, even lethal spikes on his tail, like a stegosaurus.
Personality: Born with only two legs, he has learned to fight for his own status and believe in his own strength. He knows that he is just as strong as the others, and he will be the first to fly, because his wings are already so strong. He tries to do what other baby dragons can do, but with only two legs, he does a lot more falling down and floundering around than actually running and playing with the others. He is determined to prove himself as a worthy dragon to have a rider. He is frightened that his rider will shun him because of his missing legs, and if his rider actually loves him, he will do anything for her. He would die for her without a second thought.
Spot: He likes it when people pet the membrane of his wings, between his bones.
