Introduction
In the beginning of time there was One. The One floated through existence with nothing to do and nothing to see until finally it slept. Soon the universe began to fill, as its dreams shaped everything we now know. For many, many years the worlds have lived in peace. The One’s dreams have been pleasant. But what happens when those dreams turn into nightmares?
In the kingdom of Falor, things have been prosperous for as long as everyone can remember. There have been no plagues, there has always been enough food and water to go around. The people here do not know if the outside world is as well off as they are because they have never had any need to leave it. Families grow old together and children hardly ever get hurt. There is no such thing as a bad day in Falor. Some of the people are magically inclined, and use this magic to further prosper the kingdom, and dragons live cohesively with them as partners.
Until now.
The wind has grown cold and bitter ice tinges the air. The crops have died, and sickness is sweeping the land. Creatures have begun to pick off the weak out at night, and sick howls can be heard reverberating through the walls. Nothing is safe, and people are dying. What has happened? The mages are no longer able to do even the simplest of spells, and many of the dragons have perished leaving only a few alive, too weak without their magic to be of much help. Clearly their good fortune has come to an end. The source of the magic seems to be gone…
10 Years Later
The place that Falor once was no longer exists. It has been replaced by a twisted landscape. The trees weep bloody sap, the shadows grasp at those who dare walk through them. Going outside one’s house is a death wish at night, and a danger during the day. The creatures have gotten far more brave, and the haggard people within the walls of the kingdom are dying from starvation or sickness. Only a fourth of the population is left. The queen has died and King Harrow has found himself upon deaths door. In the throes of a great fever, the king screams about nightmares. He talks about a place to the north where it is bitter cold. He says their savior is there, sleeping…
King Harrows only daughter must bring together four more people to journey into the north, chancing the dangers that the Dreamer has created in order to wake Him. Though nobody knows for sure if it will help, they’ve run out of ideas… and are running out of lives. It’s now or never. If the Dreamer doesn’t wake up, nobody is going to make it.
Common creatures found here: I will be adding in these creatures as I go along, however being as this is technically being controlled by someone who is asleep, I reserve the right to create my own fun little creatures to go along with everything. I give the participants in this RP the ability to NPC themselves a few creatures here and there if they so please.
Also, each of the main characters is allowed to have a dragon if they so wish. I do recommend it but will not require it, it will however make things more interesting. Their dragons are their companions. I would prefer that the age range not be under 20 as I find it hard to believe that a bunch of 15-16 year olds are going to run around looking for a God. Maturity is a PLUS.
The characters do not have to be human. All of the races lived peacefully, so it would be understandable if someone didn't want to play a human.
