Introduction
Rules
1- No excessive or repetitive use of foul language.
2- Keep it PG-10, please. (No sex for you!)
3- No god-modding, no kidding.
4- Please refrain from having constant one-liner replies, like "I stab you with my sword", and "I use firedust to burn your face" (They're just boring!)
5- No invincible dust. (That'll make more sense in a minute.)
6- No illiteracy. Please be respectful to the English language.
7- Please refrain from having posts that just drawl on for hours and hours until you're so bored you don't want to write it any more yourself because nothing really happens and it's also more boring than "Two and a Half Men".
8- Please, no more than 3 characters per person.
9- Unless it's REALLY AWESOME, please don't make a vampire character. I just don't like them.
10- ABSOLUTELY NO REPEAT CHARACTERS. If you make a character that's too much like another one you or someone else has, I will reject it. No matter how awesome it is, repeats have no place here.
Basic Mythology
Dust- The essence of the soul, named for its powdery appearance. Dusters bend the Dust to their will, using it as a direct weapon, while magicians consume small amounts of their Dust, transforming it into the elements used in spells. There are an almost infinite number of Dust types, each one unique to its Duster. In the case of magicians, dust type doesn't matter, all that matters is the element they're using. (Earth, Water, Fire or Wind.) But for a Duster, it's everything. Dust types are given names like diamonddust, firedust, crimsondust, psychodust, whisperdust, irondust, and the like. Dust can do just about anything, but it's not quite perfect. All Dust has both strengths and weaknesses, just like the people attached to it.
Blanks- Someone whose Dust has run out, due to being killed while using Dust, or because they used too much magic. Blanks are essentially zombies, however, they retain all the strength from their past life. Sometimes, they even retain their memories. The problem is, if they don't consume someone elses Dust, they dissolve into nothingness. Their bodies continue to consume the Dust, so they need to keep feeding. In the process of eating Dust, the victim becomes another Blank, resulting in exponential population growth of Blanks in an area. However, after an area is truly annihilated, the Blanks will dissolve and nothing is left but wasteland. These are called Blanklands, because- they're Blank.
(Subject to slight changes.)

OOC Notes
"Take it," she whispers, "kill your ally, then yourself." A small wave of lavender Dust washes over the two guards, who appear rather aloof. One of them looks around curiously, then grabs the star. Nikki hears him say something along the lines of "Die!", then the poor guy slices the other guard's throat. The lone guard then jabs the star into his own neck, collapsing within 30 seconds.
Nikki sighs, and glances around again. She lays a thin layer of Dust over the village, searching for her quarry.
"No, not him," she says aloud, "nope- no, maybe- no. Well, yes. That's definitely him!" She runs to the gate, lowers a dark mask, and kicks open the feeble structure.
Nikki ignores the townspeople's gasps and cries as she races towards the man her Dust found for her- Dryus Finnigan. She pins him to the ground, holding a shiv to his face.
"Dryus Finnigan, I presume?" She spats, tightening her grip.
"Y-you've got the wrong man, I swear!" He screams, wriggling.
"He lies, Nikki..." the Dust whispers, "he's looking for an escape. He's thinking of a story..." Dryus' eyes begin darting to various places he can run to.
"I've got no time for liars," Nikki starts, "so you've a choice. Do I kill you and scalp you, or scalp you and leave you to die?" He just smirks.
"Wait- Nikki, run!" the Dust screams, writhing frantically.
"Yah! Winddust, toss her over the gates!" Dryus yells brazenly. A light green wave of Dust sweeps under Nikki. Her eyes go wide. She's lifted into the air, carried by the powerful Dust. "Blast, he's a Duster?!" she thinks, unable to move.
"Whisperdust," she murmurs, "make him kill himse-" Nikki's stopped by a blast of air being forced into her lungs.
"If this continues- I'll explode!" Nikki thinks. She throws a star, but the Winddust just blows it away. "No," she thinks, "Not- not yet..."
