With the fall of Earth Prime, humans found themselves being snuffed from existence. In order to preserve their species, reproductive cells were placed inside a synthetic egg-like womb and stored aboard a craft destined for interstellar travel.
Before this craft could be launched, the central point of solar system -- the Sun -- imploded upon itself, sucking into it every nearby planet and leaving nothing in its wake. The pressure was more than enough to destroy every living thing upon the earth's surface, and engulf it entirely.

Utilizing the technological advances made prior to this unfortunate event, the craft was able to survive by slipping between the silver strings that make up our universe. Through the gateway, our survivors landed upon an Earth much like the one they never got to know. Now, one by one they awaken. Upon leaving the craft, though, they find that they cannot return to it. Now they are stranded on a would-be paradise for humans, sans the wildlife and strange climates.



There are several land masses that can be seen from the craft, numerically seven. Some humans have traveled to these islands in search of life, and instead found room to build houses and make villages, each one different from the last.
As far as our survivors know, though, there is no other life out there... not yet, at least.
