Introduction

[O.O.C This story is pretty easy to understand. But I'll need more people to play in it.
In this story, your middle name is technically your first. Everyone will call you by that in the true realm. In the human realm, they will call you by your first. In the True realm, if they call you by your first name you are a person that has been damned. Just keep that in mind when you think of your names.

I’ll need;

Karas Reaper Methaneal- played by an actual guy
Tiffany –[She’ll be a reoccurring character, coming in later.]
Xanis- [Coming back in soon]

And anyone else you want to be…make your own character and work them in. If no one wants to be Tiffany I can just get rid of her. She’s no one that’s really important. ]

“We were never trained to survive in this type of situation.” Eden thought to herself as she sat in a dark, dank room with several men three times her size surrounding her. “Thankfully, I taught myself.” Was what she said softly to no one in particular, as she stood from the chair she had earlier been tied to, but had since broken free of. The men all looked astonished, but took on an unsure battle stance. “I’m sure none of you have fought a women before. Added onto that, I’m guessing you haven’t fought a woman, or man as well trained as I, or that can kill you all. With ease.” She added the last part with a hint of malice. As she prepared a fighting stance they all took out their swords.

A man came in through the door behind her, waved his large hand, and she was on the ground, unable to move. “Hello again Eden.” He smiled grimly. Eden grunted in response to his formalities. “Humph.” He said. “You remember me, I suppose. I am Xanis.” She looked away from him then. “Have you decided to join us Eden?” She gawked at him, and then laughed softly. “Of course I won’t join you! Everything is clearly dying around you, and yet you sit here and do nothing.” Xanis leaned down to her level, and uncharacteristically spit in her face.

“Then, we shall ruin your life. We thought you would say no, so we had another plan in the ready. It took much work, but we think it will be worth it. You shall go to the realm of the humans. To their “future” world. Where they fight with guns instead of swords. Where they use computers instead of their minds. You’ll be awakening from a “coma” at the age you are now; 17. We changed…well more modified the minds of the people in the town, so you can go to school. You live with a friend named Karas and his “girlfriend,” I think is the term. We know a few secrets about him as well.” He said smugly. “But you’ll know all of this when you get there, and, of course, you’ll forget all about us.” He at last smiled, placed a hand on her forehead, and Eden fell asleep.

“Corey? Corey!?” Eden tried to open her eyes, but her vision was blurry and her head hurt vastly. “Corey!” She felt she knew the name, and should respond to it, but it took too much energy to try. She felt a warm hand touch her arm and the deep voice spoke again. “Corey, can you hear me?” Ah, of course, that was my name, she thought, and grunted in response. The hand became a body and it crushed her in a hug. She grunted even louder in pain, and the body backed away. She finally opened her eyes again, and could see clearly. What she saw was a handsome boy and a girl standing wearily in the background. The girl smiled cautiously and waved awkwardly. Tiffany, she thought. That’s her name. Then there was Karas, Eden smiled at him, and gave her a toothy grin. She turned her head to the other side, to see a doctor standing stiffly over her.

“Miss. Carniely. I have to ask you a few questions.” Eden nodded, and he proceeded to produce a clipboard from behind his back. “What is your full name?”

Eden paused for a moment then responded. “Corey Eden Carniely.” She thought to herself how stupid her middle name was.

“Correct.” The old man said. “And your mothers name?” A look of pure horror passed over Eden’s face, and she looked at Karas at a lose for words. He gave her a pitiful look, and then looked at the doctor.

“Doesn’t know her mother, sir.”

“Ah. Well. I guess I won’t ask you any more questions. You’ll be able to leave tonight, but you’ll need to keep the bandages on your head, all the bandages on your arms, and your neck.” He nodded. “Good day.” And he left the room.

Eden looked over at Karas slowly. He quickly turned to face her. “God damn motorcycle! I told you to wear your helmet! You’ll never ride it again.”

Eden smiled genuinely at him. “You know you can’t keep me off of that old bike. It hasn’t worked before, and it won’t work this time.” He turned from anger to sadness in seconds.

“I-I thought you were dead Corey!” there was a small, girlish cough from behind him. Both Karas and Eden turned their attention to Tiffany, who seemed as surprised to have the attention turned to her, as they did.

“Um. I think I’ll go to the Cafe.” She went out of the room and down the hall.

“Cardin, I almost killed myself. If you had died I would have done it.” He used Eden’s real name over everyone had left the room. She had legally changed her name to Corey a few years prior, but her real name was Cardin. No one except Karas knew that.

“But I’m alive,” she protested.

“Really now Cardin! You’re barely alive. Look at your head!”

“Physically impossible dearie, without a mirror of some sort.” She smiled smugly to herself.

“Funny.” Angry as he was at her for her comment, he headed over to her bed and started to help her up. All of the IV’s out, it was easier. As he grabbed her arm, he touched a spot that was apparently very sensitive and she hissed again in pain.

“Oh! I’m sorry Cardin!” He looked miserable and sad.

“It’s ‘Kay. And I can do it myself. You can go and hang out with Barley.” Eden said, using Tiffany’s last name to show her dislike for the girl. She wasn’t good for Karas.

“But I don-“ He began to retort.

“Nope. I don’t want you here anyways.” As he left the room, she let the teasing face fall into a saddened face. As bad as Tiffany was for Karas, he still would do anything for her, to gain her approval…She hated Eden. She put on a good act though. We’re “sister types” as she puts it, Eden thought to herself.

As she looked into the mirror, she grimaced at her appearance. “Horrible.” She thought out loud. She touched her hair to move it out of the way of her eyes, and saw her bandage. It was bloody and gruesome, looking like it needed to be changed. She had a large, bloody mark on her neck covered by bandages wrapped around many times. Her arms were covered in bandages, and cuts that weren’t covered. She touched one of the uncovered ones and flinched as it began to bleed again. She walked from the bathroom with a new sense of downheartedness.

Eden reached the door to the hallway as a nurse came in to find her. “Oh. Hello, I was just coming to see if you wanted to go to the cafeteria.”

“Yeah. Sure.” She had forgotten that Karas was there, and was starving, so it seemed like a good idea.

“Want to go alone, or want me to come?” The nurse asked, obviously having something else to do, and wanted Eden to go alone.

“’Lone.” Eden said, not caring either way. She took a quick glance at the nurses name tag, and it says Louisa. Nice she reflected quietly.

“Okay. Be careful.” As Louisa walked away, she waved enthusiastically to the male doctor that had been treating Eden.

“Oh,” Eden said, and turned to walk the other way.

It took Eden twenty minutes to find the cafeteria that was only two minutes away. Five minutes spent finding the elevator, five more for it to reach the bottom floor with all of the stops on the way, and ten minutes to find, walk to, and reach the cafeteria.

As soon as she walked into the cafeteria Karas spotted her and rushed over, Tiffany trailing behind. Eden knew it was a matter of time before Tiffany would go off on her, and Eden felt today was the best day to test her. She didn’t know why, but thought it was the smug look on her face. Disgusting was all she thought. “Hello Tiffany. What a lovely dress you’re wearing. Perfect for you ugly skin, and messy hair.” It was actually flattering to Tiffany’s figure but Eden would never dare admit that. As soon as the words were out, Eden knew that Tiffany had snapped didn’t take much Eden thought. Karas' mouth dropped and Tiffany started forward.

“You are a disgusting vial creature Corey! I wish you were dead. Every single night while you were in that coma, I would pray that you would die. I just wanted it so bad. Then you woke up, and I was horribly mad. I wanted to kill you myself. You’re just jealous of me and Karas, you can’t stand that me and him may be getting closer than you two are.”

“Karas and you.” Eden corrected, which made Tiffany even madder. Tiffany stepped forward and punched Eden in the face, and dug her nails into the deep gash on her skull. Eden straightened up and ignored the pain, ripped Tiffany’s hands away from her skull and grabbed her hair in a death grip. Pulling her head towards her own, Eden spoke in a harsh whisper, “Don’t. Ever. Touch. Me. Ever. Again.” With that, Eden shoved Tiffany’s head into a table hard enough to make her bleed, then threw her on the ground and walked away. Karas looked at Tiffany, then to Eden, then back. He smiled slightly then started towards Eden, then backtracked to Tiffany.

“Just so we’re clear. We’re over. Corey was right. You’re not good enough for me.” And he walked away.
