She walked around smiling and singing softly some random song that was stuck in her head, her curious blue eyes wandering everywhere. She wasn't as worried about winning as she should be, maybe. Either way it was useless to hurry, this didn't seem to her as simple as getting there first. Her eyes glanced through the gargoyle statues... Damn those things were creepy.
She shrugged and figured that must be exactly the point after all. She walked straight towards where she assumed would be the center of the town. Still singing to herself in a whisper. "Running, On our way. Hiding, you will pay. Dying, one thousand deaths. Searching, seek and Destroy..."

As Jo moved another howl was heard, and she realized she was standing really close. She began to almost run, now realizing she had unsheathed the sword she carried on her back. She came to a stop as she reached the center of the town. She didn't mind as much the fact that there were people already there. After a moment of watching what seemed to be a werewolf jump in the well and tear it apart.
Jo then noticed a guy running after the thing. She snickered. "Oh, bad idea..." She nodded as the guy's twin stopped him. She remembered seeing them before, as well as the girl they were with. She figured she should have paid more attention, but shrugged it off.
She looked from the other assassins to the entrance where the well had been. She sighed, smiling slightly at the other people. "Well... I missed a little bit of excitement, as it seems."
She stared at the trio as they seemed to decide whether to go in or not. She didn't know about the rest of them, but she had never seen a werewolf-type-thing, like that before so... She thought maybe caution was in order here. "Shouldn't we maybe take care of that creature and then decide who wins this thing? I don't know about you all, but... Win or lose, I'd rather live." She spoke in a casual tone, and not actually to anyone in particular, tossing a fire orb in the air playfully with her left hand while still holding the sword in her right. Sure it was a competition, but... Jo assumed that if they wasted time trying to squeeze through that hole at the same time, none of them would get anywhere.

She looked at the people who had stayed... Shadow-boy seemed to have a brain, and seemed pretty calm also. She should remember that for a change. If there was ever a time to pay attention to people this was it.
She wasn't that worried about winning, for what she could tell, there would be other opportunities for that. However, this was a good chance to have a look at people's personalities before they got smart enough to hide them. If they ever did, that is.
For the time being, she kept her eyes between the entrance of the tunnel and the gargoyle statues (she was still nervous about them), and waited. Whoever survived the mess that was about to happen down there would have to come out eventually. If an opportunity was to present itself, she would take advantage of it. She threw the little fire orb she had been playing with a little higher in the air, and watched it vanish as she slashed it with her sword, not finding it at all strange that the movement came to her as naturally as if she did it everyday. She snickered as she created another orb to play with. "Once a hunter, always a hunter. Once prey, always prey." She mentally quoted her father, her usual wicked smile replaced with a strangely focused expression.

She slashed at another incoming gargoyle with her right hand and shot another fireball at another with her left as she spoke, not so much caring for killing them, but simply making sure they didn't reach her. Even if in the next minutes they all learned to work together as if they were the best friends in the world... They didn't really stand a chance here, they were seriously outnumbered. The best would be to clear a path and flee before they were definitely surrounded. "Defeat them is a little optimistic I would have to say. I'd settle for leaving here alive." She mentioned as she stabbed a creature that had managed to sink its claws into her arm. "Shit!" She exclaimed loudly as the blood started dripping from the wound. She slashed randomly at another creature as she muttered. "I love this shirt. Now it's ruined. Stupid gargoyles."

She didn't know what happened to the shard until she heard someone say it was safe. "Game over", she'd heard the girl say. Jo didn't know about the others, but she was through with the fun, and... If she was expected to go on another one of these 'missions' they'd better make her care about these stupid shards, or she wouldn't move another finger.
She watched as the cat-girl came back and found the twins, one of them seemed pretty hurt. She nodded in disbelief when seeing that she had made it out of that mess and returned. That girl was extremely brave or very stupid... Maybe both. Jo let out a sigh, thinking that was not the best combination with this group of airheads. "Hey!" she yelled, so the girl would hear her. "Get yourself and your partners out of here and I'll make sure no one gets left behind."
Maybe it wasn't exactly what Jo wanted to do at that moment, but other than a few scratches and exhaustion, she was just fine. And that girl had done more than her fair share this time. She did hope the others would get a move on towards the exit. She didn't feel like staying in that town another minute.

Jo couldn't exactly say she was doing any better herself, but she managed to reach the two and put herself between them and the gargoyles. She couldn't, however, even if she was fully rested, keep those things away and get them through the door. They were coming at her faster than she could hit them, in a few minutes she had some pretty nasty cuts on her arms and torso. She thought of possibilities... She could maybe drag the cat, if she was quick enough, and still make it out. She could not carry the man, under any circumstance she would be strong enough. "Get to the door, and hurry up, or I'm leaving without you!" She yelled at the man.
She heard him moving, and let out a sigh. Jo felt she wouldn't be able to fend those things off any longer, she was leaving. She'd grab the girl, if there was enough strength in her to do it, but that was all she could afford to do at that point. "Shit!" She cursed loudly as one gargoyle managed to claw at her face. She ran the creature right through with her sword, but now she had blood in her eyes, not to mention the pain. Wasn't for the fact that she was getting more and more pissed off at the situation she would have dropped as well.
They were considerably close to the door so, when Jo felt there was an opening she sheathed her sword and grabbed the cat with her right hand, while still throwing fire at the nearby gargoyles with her left. A bobcat is not exactly the size of a house cat... So dragging one really takes its toll on a person, but she managed to reach the door seconds after the werewolf went through it and crossed it carrying the cat.
The moment she found herself back where this whole thing started she simply dropped Fly, and went to sit on a corner, on the ground. She rested her back against the wall, shivering slightly, mostly because of the adrenaline. She had blood on her clothes and hands, and some pretty nasty cuts, but not so serious she'd be bleeding out. She nodded, resting her head on her knees. This was the first time she found herself curled up in a corner in a very long time.
These people better give her some answers... And soon.
