Durandel

"I never should have left the mountains!"

0 · 1,913 views · located in Nigerius lands

a character in “Elemental Battles”, originally authored by stormwolf321, as played by Seveneleven

Description

Durandel is a tall and strong looking wolf. His eyes glow a reddish color and his fur is a mixture of bright orange, dark red and the faintest of yellow. He also has black stripes going down his neck, tail, thigh, and shoulder. He also has two small black circles on his head and markings down his front legs. His fur moves almost exactly as fire would making his body appear as if he were on fire and the striped markings represent the flow of lava.

If you want to get a better picture of Durandel here is the photo.

Personality

Durandel is very over protective of his packs territory and will do anything in his will to protect it at all costs. Because of this he seems to get past the facts and anyone with the wits enough could get past him. Though Durandel usually does a fine job protecting his pack.

Durandel at first has had much trouble trusting others outside the pack. With his recent escapades, his shell is beginning to crack. Having a hot head and prideful disposition, doesn't make it much easier. Still his protective instincts kick in and thus far has done a well enough job of helping the others. Even if it isn't voluntary.

Equipment

History

Durandel was born in the Vulcan mountains to the Canicus Pack. He had lived in the many volcanoes in the mountains since birth. When the wars started every pack was made an enemy and no other pack member (at least to him.) could be trusted. Durandel fights for his families' protection and of course the whole pack's. But one day, during one of the wars, his father disappeared. From that day forward Durandel has made an oath to take his father's place in the deadly battles.

One day though however, taking a day off from the usual border patrol, Durandel searched for food. Having less than desirable gourmet, Durandel descended the Vulcans to find better prey. Who'da thought he would get caught up with a ragtag group of wolves. What's worse is that trouble seems to follow them where ever they go. From Kamarians, to forest fires, and brainwashed wolves. Never a dull moment, and while border patrol was rather lack luster...he's beginning to miss it.

Now here he is stuck as a damn prisoner with these crazy wolves. What's worse they are captured by an even crazier wolf. If he can escape this prison, then he knows he will never leave the mountains again!

So begins...

Schemeko heard many sounds perpetuating in many different places. "Is it just me?" "Or does this forest have an echo?" Schemeko said inquisitively. "Huh." Schemeko then smacked his chops as heard Cerise she was going to walk ahead. "Well I guess that's one vote for me!" Schemeko said as he grinned. Then Nova began to move the same direction Cerise taken. Hearing Nova's point he did agree, "Of course, we do have an emergency on our heads and some brisk movement is certainly needed!" Schemeko said as he passed Nova, "Follow me I know of a short cut that should help give us more time!" Schemeko said merrily as he found Cerise laying down. "Tsk tsk tsk, Now I don't think the situation would call for lying down Cerise," Schemeko spoke jocularly, "After all The Asui is on some borrowed time at the moment." he said with a simper.

Durandel, who'd been silent for a long time, watched the smoke rise around him in the middle of the cave he was in with the rest of the wolves and smelt the foul smell of its burning ashes. It was far worse smelling than the smoke produced by the Vulcan Mountain volcanoes. He cried out in a hoarse voice, "I think I can get rid of the flames and smoke. I'm going to need to fight fire with fire and super heat everything so it burns out quickly." He hoped everyone could hear him.

He'd been silent for a while following the group and trying to make sure Nova and a few of the others would get properly healed. In being so focused on this task he'd unfocused himself on the events around him. Thus causing him to be unable to realize a good number of the newcomers. Perhaps age had made him tired. He wasn't really sure, but his mind definitely wasn't it in it right now, however, the fire around him had woken him up to a mass problem that all the wolves now seemed to face. He'd help them as best as he could.

Schemeko didn't see where Cerise and Artemis went as the smokescreen returned from Artemis' onslaught. Then before he could act the Tenneth reappeared and scolded them for staying in the middle of a fire. Schemeko could not blame him even he isn't crazy enough to stand around in the middle of a wildfire. He was glad that someone with knowledge of how to handle fire arrived and then the 'Canicus' arrived and pitched in to help. "Well guys I guess you can call yourselves Firefighters!" Schemeko only able to barely muster a chuckle. Then he heard a yelp from behind. Schemeko turned around to see a pinned WarriorDemon underneath a fallen tree that was on fire. Schemeko in his right mind would have never helped a wolf that previously tried to bite his head off. But then again, Schemeko was never in his right mind to begin with. He ran over to the fallen tree and looked at WarriorDemon. "Heh, I've never seen a "Great Demon" trapped by a fire." Schemeko mockingly spoke at the crazed Alva. Then he noticed Nova appear. "Perfect timing my friend, look I need you to push this trunk with all of your might." Schemeko ordered, "I am going to melt down the sides of this tree with my acid spit, and then you push the middle off of Warrior here." Schemeko told Nova as he spat at two opposite sides of the tree. The acid deconstructed the sides of the tree making it loose enough for Nova to push aside.

Durandel observed the destruction left by the forest fire. It was unusually extensive following the recent rainfall. Despite the circumstances he and Rokunam were able to produce a counter-fire that ended up destroying the original one. As Durandel peered through the smoke he could see that only he and Rokunam where left alone. "Hm, Rokunam it seems your friends have left you behind." Durandel spoke towards Rokunam. "Heh, I suppose I was given more than I bargained for when I left the mountains." Durandel said a bit jokingly, "I was only looking for some better game then I stumbled upon all of this fine mess." Durandel sighs then turns his head towards Rokunam. "Where have you been lately Rokunam?" "I haven't seen you in the Vulcan Mountains for quite some time." "I figured you might have been captured or worse, considering the war and everything." Durandel spoke inquisitively. Durandel wondered about his story as he spoke again. "I heard last you where fighting some Hemlocks...right?" Durandel asked unsure of his sources. Durandel hoped he wasn't prying too much into Rokunam, but if he did survive such an ordeal it might help Durandel understand imminent enemies to the fire packs.

-------Schemeko------

Schemeko was surprised of the hospitality of these wolves. Judging solely by WarriorDemon he expected them to be more hostile. Noticing that there much more friendly and welcoming Schemeko doubts how Warrior could be one of them. He certainly hasn't heard any of these wolves calling him or Nova impure. Still maybe that was WarriorDemon's personality maybe she is more high-strung than the others. Although it wouldn't be unwise to still be a bit weary of the others just in case. It wouldn't be the first time Schemeko was wrong about others, he never was the best judge of character. Yet his cautiousness and resourcefulness made up for that. Schemeko looked around the area and it was still all just too magnificent for him. It just seems highly unlikely that a whole civilization could live underground, wolves aren't moles. Schemeko though wasn't going to question it after all everything was questionable, including what Warrior and her allies can achieve. Schemeko kept to himself anyway as he merely surveyed the area just trying to absorb it all. Schemeko then heard a voice coming from behind him. He looked over his shoulder to see what appeared to be a fire wolf. The wolf claims he was Rokunam, Who was Rokunam again? Schemeko thought to himself. He remembered someone just mentioned that name but he wasn't really paying attention. Schemeko waited for the others to respond hopefully he could just act upon their claims and make it sound that he knew him. Schemeko pondered there where others with them. He must have been either the Tenneth or the "Canicus". Schemeko really doesn't know how to tell the two apart, he wasn't exactly familiar with the fire packs.

Rokunam's story peaked Durandel's interest, it certainly was quite the tale. Durandel then heard Rokunam's question, "Of course not." Durandel spoke honestly. "It's my day off since there hasn't been any attacks in the mountains lately." Durandel explained, "I gained quite the appetite and decided to leave for the Land below in search of better game." "Of course you know how the game in the mountains are much less to be desired." Durandel said a bit jokingly. "Anyway I came across a dead Kamarian and soon enough I found those attackers at your cave and well you know the rest." Durandel then concurred with Rokunam, "Yes I agree it is comforting to know that I found at least someone down here I could trust." Durandel spoke, "I'm sure your friends are good at heart but I still find them a bit suspicious." "Sorry if that offended you but I just find it strange that wolves from different packs could work together so well." "Anyway about your story...I never knew there was a human among us." "That's a little worrisome wouldn't you think?" Durandel's countenance then grew more serious. "Did you make any progress in the project?" Durandel asked cautiously. "I understand that it is very important to us." "I know I might not be exactly authorized for such information, considering I'm only a border guard, still I'm just curious is all." Durandel asked hopefully Rokunam would answer, if not he wouldn't take it to heart.

Ixtec~~~~

Ixtec's grey eyes slowly looked into Solaris's and he began to cackle. His cackle sounded as if a skeleton was rattling his bones and a spirit was whispering in your ear. He continued on before gazing up at the deity. "My old friend. We all know there is only one cure for heart cancer... You must take out the very virus itself...That is the only cure..." He said in a hushed tone. Almost as if he was asking for a fight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rashid's Alphas~~~~
Anakin, Dumasani, Sipho, and Fox ran through the forest. Their minds had set on being the alpha and investigating the North East direction. They continued on their trek. They were far ahead from the others but they knew they could follow their scent. Suddenly Duma, the Jera, stops and pulls the others aside with him. Fox decides to step in. "What is it?" She asks in a bit of annoyance. "Shh!' He commands and everyone gets quiet. "Look..." Duma says as he looks over from behind the tree. The Alpha's look over as well when they see a tunnel guarded by a Canicus and Tenneth. "Hmm...Me and Duma will head in and try to take down the two in front." Sipho says with a smirk just as more wolves started to approach.
Sipho called forth a couple of Arlyne and Boracks. Duma only rolled his eyes before the wolves headed through the brush around the wolves, keeping out of their sight. The wolves had now surrounded the wolves. Duma then took his golden watch and used the sun to make a series of flashes signaling that the attack was to begin on command. In about another minute or so, Duma flashed the attack and Sipho charged up his fur making it electrical before he rushed out of the brush and straight towards the fire and lava wolf. Duma did the same as he lunged at the wolves until he clamped onto ones neck. The Canicus.
The Arlynes and Boracks all began darting out of the brush along with some of the others. Only the weaker against fire wolves like Fox and Anakin stayed behind to watch.
((You guys can control the Delta's and Alpha's, just keep in mind that these Alpha's are really tough wolves whereas the Delta's are a bit weaker.))
Before he could hear a response from Rokunam he was suddenly attacked. "What in blue blazes!?" Durandel shouted as he was bitten upon his neck. Durandel shook violently but the attacker was firmly secured. Using his battle instincts he brought himself down taking the wolf with him , as he landed upon the Jera. The wolf let go as Durandel's weight fell upon the wolf's chest making him gasp for air. Durandel rolled away as he lept right side up. He growled at the wolf and then he spoke towards Rokunam. "Watch out!" He shouted towards him as he say a Borack charging for him. Then the Jera lept at Durandel. Effectively he jumped back still growling. He then saw more wolves of different packs converging upon them. What in Solaris' light is going on here!? Durnadel though to himself. This attack was different from the others. Always it was a group of wolves from the same pack, not different ones. Durandel need to act quickly. He stomped his paw upon the earth and magma began to crack from underneath. Soon lava spouted as he made the cracks connect to form a makeshift moat of lava, separating himself, Rokunam, and their attackers from the larger pack. That should keep the others at bay. Before Durandel could make another thought the Jera launched itself at him. Durandel dodged nearly making the wolf fall into the moat. Unfortunately he stopped himself short before he met an unpleasant end. This time Durandel repaid the favor and clamped down on the Jera's neck like he did. Durandel shook him violently practically strangling him. Durandel then tossed him aside and surprisingly he stood back on his feet. "I guess I'll have to shake harder!" Durandel barked as he charged for the Jera again. Duma seeing Durandel approaching slowed down time. Damn! Was all Durandel could think as he saw the world slowing down around him. Duma smirked as he gain considerable distance away from Durandel before resuming time to normal speeds. Durandel was surprised as Duma dissappeared from where he was. Then the Jera sped up time as he quickly charged at Durandel and tackled him to the ground. Duma proceeded to try and bite his face. Durandel then summoned his strength and rolled from underneath Duma and went to bite him, but the Jera was quick as he dodged Durandel. Once again he looked Duma in the eyes and growled as he circled around him planning his next attack.
Durandel noticed the situation becoming much worse. Not only are his lava defenses being counteracted, but they were attacked from afar. The lightning was coming quick barely leaving any room for Durandel to dodge. Mainly thanks to the time manipulating, Dumasani in front of him. He was clever to try and slow time down so the Boracks could easily hit Durandel. Durandel's only saving grace was making the lava splash; blocking their view. Though that grace was about to be finished thanks to the Arlyne's water abilities. Durandel was running out of options. Suddenly he was knocked down to the ground again by Duma, as he broke his concentration on the lava. He knew the Boracks now had a clean shot and it will only take an instance for lightning to strike.
Then lightning struck the trees next to the Boracks as they collapsed in front of them obstructing their view. A battle howl was heard as black wolf with a bluish-grey underbelly shot lightning a two Delta's in front of him. The wolf then jumped into the fray as he shot lightning from his mouth and electrocuted the Arlyne's cooling down the lava. The survivors backed away as they were forced to turn their attention towards their new foe. "I have no idea what is happening...but...I don't appreciate cowards who rely on ambushes to finish the job." Spoke Summanus as he noticed a puddle of water near the survivors. "You've just signed your death warrant." Summanus spoke as he blasted another bolt as it hit the water. The electricity surged about the Arlynes as they were electrocuted by their own power. The mysterious Borack then stood between the lava and the fallen trees. "Come on, I'm waiting." He spoke as he unsheathed a sword that was hanging from his side. Firmly grasping it in his mouth the trees exploded from electrical blasts as the Borack Deltas attacked the wolf. He dodged their bolts as he charged at them. The Deltas charged in retaliation as the wolf performed some quick sword play as he slashed them, tearing the Deltas open with his serrated-blade. As he finished them off more appeared as Arlynes and Boracks alike shot water and lightning at him. He dodged what he could being hit by a couple of bolts. Thankfully he used the bolts to charge himself up as his fur appeared to be static as it surged about his body. Summanus then chopped down any Delta that was close but they were keeping their distance.
Durandel was surprised by the outsider's help but before he could do anything else Duma was on the attack again. Thanks to the new wolf's distraction he too was distracted as Durandel was knocked into his very lava. He then sank disappearing from view. Duma was no fool as he kept his distance from the lava making sure he doesn't pop out and attack him. Dumasani watched the Lava around him as he looked for every possible move that could be made. Then cracks were beginning to surface towards the middle, unaware Duma did not think to look underneath him. Soon lava erupted from behind Duma as Durandel shoved his head out and clamped on Duma's hind leg. Duma was surprised and tried to kick him off. The lava however burned his leg as Durandel pulled him into the lava pit he made. The pit oozed as lava began to burn him as the pit widened. Duma howled and growled in all sort of ways as he was being dragged under. He slowed down time making his decent slower but no less painful as Durandel refused to let go. Duma then sped up time hoping to use his speed to force his way out, but before he could the lava reached his front legs burning them. Duma howled in agony as he began to catch on fire and broke his concentration over time. Soon Duma was lit torch as he was half-submerged in the lava. Then finally both he and Durandel were gone from sight as they were completely submerged into the lava.
Without thinking Fox the Aven shouted out as her ally was killed. "DUMA!!!!" She shouted but was hushed by Anakin. What was this feeling inside her...emotion? No...She was a slave to Rashid. There was no emotion... The emotion though stayed with her even as Rashid took control of her body. "Wh-What are we going to do?" She asked Anakin. "Don't talk like that! You sound like one of the lower species..." Anakin says referring to the ones who weren't controlled by Rashid. "Hmm...Our team is getting pretty weak... All due to that Borack over there...I think we should take him down. If we need any help we will just howl. The battlefield though looks pretty dangerous for a Deon and Aven. If I go out there with my fur transformed into metal like swords, I'll be a walking lightning rod And you would be burnt to a crisp by all that fire and lava..." A small whimper could be heard from Fox as she remembered Dumasani's body being drug into the lava but Anakin ignored it. "Hmm...I got it! An earth wolf could survive many hits from a strike of lightning. I've seen it in battle." Anakin turns his head over to the others a calls three Dimitrios wolf over. All were equipped with a rock like armor. "You all have to take down the enemy Borack.' the three nod together and jump out onto the battlefield causing a slight tremor before their white glowing eyes were gleaming towards Summanus. They charged immediately. Each paw step made another more stronger tremor but they kept it light to keep the mysterious tunnel open.
Fox looked at the battling around her. She whimpered once more at the sight of the Arlynes being shocked by lightning. Her once brigfht white eyes appeared a bit more faint than usual, and Anakin was taking notice.
Above the sky, Anti was keeping a close watch on everything, making sure he was out of view from the Borack and Tenneth but high enough to see the entire battle fold out beneath him. "Ah, a strange tunnel guarded by a Tenneth and Canicus. Nothing unusual there but a Borack... What a strange partnership..." Antigonus said with dismay. Rashid might be right...
((I'm going to control Fox for now.))
Fox
Fox suddenly jumped up. Her heart was pounding as a mysterious voice spoke above her. "Is this really what you want?" she repeated. Anakin looked over at her with a pained expression. "Is this really what you want?" she repeats again. Her eyes then started to glow violently. The other side of her regaining it's authority over her body. At times her eyes would stop flashing white exposing her true blue eyes that had been kept hidden for so long.
Pain is all Fox could feel. Pure pain. As if someone had pulled out a knife and slashed her stomach open from the inside. Anakin got ready. It was every slaves job to make sure somebody doesn't cross over. Fox stumbled over in pain muttering a single word. "Help..." Before Anakins fur grew out as swords and razors.
~~~~~~~
Cerise

Cerise looked around at the surroundings and other wolves. Her eyes then set on SkyDancer. Cerise paused and her usual happy demeanor took a more serious approach. Cerise has been kind to all wolves. ironically though, her own kind is some that she doesn't feel comfortable with. Cerise's eyes dart toward the ground and she nods a thank you along with Nova before Schemeko pulled up a question. Yes, how long were they staying?

~~~~~~~
Mydnyte
Mydnyte paced around the forest. His glowing red eyes weren't all that luminous in the light. what was he doing in the light anyway. The Kamarian huffed deeply until he heard explosions behind him. Mydnyte pointed his muzzle in the direction of the sound and sure enough more explosive like sounds could be heard. Mydnyte growled. Is Kaveh on his trail? He thought but shook it away. The explosions sounded much more electric...
Mydnyte growled once more before running off in that direction. Jumping over a nearby log, he raced toward the sounds. They were a good distance away so they must be fairly large... Mydnyte breathed deeply before his body became a surge of shadows as he flew through the shadows of just about anything. In a blink of an eye he was on the battle ground of what seemed to be the strangest skirmish between wolves he had ever seen.
Mydnyte snarled at the Borack Sipho as he was charging at Summanus. The Kamarian used his power to create a huge wolf mouth charging at the Borack. The mouth clamped onto the back of Sipho immediately starting to clamp shut as shadows seeped out of the mouth and over Sipho. Sipho howled out and charged up his fur just enough to direct lightning to Mydnyte. The Kamarian used a force field of shadows to protect him but even that couldn't help him just enough for him to feel and electrical shock course through his body causing the shadow wolf to spasm a bit. In that Mydnyte lost focus and the shadow mouth had disappeared into thin air dropping the Alpha Borack onto the ground.
Mydnyte saw a flash of light behind him in the corner of his eyes. He turned his head and saw a Kita tending to the enemy. "Pfft. Kita's." He mutters beforesending a beam of darkness toward the Deon wolf Anakin. It didn't look like it did much when he jumped out and started charging him. Mydnyte growled and kept his place before creating a pool of shadows. The Deon was unable to stop and he toppled over into the dark water. The black water then started to drain into the earth. Mydnyte smiled in victory until the Deon slowly started to withstand the current and make it out of the water in just enough time that the water had drained into nothingness.
Mydnyte stepped back a bit before a blast of electricity hit him dead on. The Kamarian staggered onto the ground and groaned in pain. Anakin then targeted the Kita wolf tending to Fox. Mydnyte was barely able to get up but he managed and sent another shadow mouth towards the Deon wolf. Before the Alpha could reach the two he was grabbed a pulled back into the air.
The shadow teeth clenched around the wolf but was unable to break through his metal fur. Anakin snarled and a metal shard ripped through the earth slicing Mydnytes eye. The wolf was now vulnerable from the left side. He covered his stinging eye up but didn't have enough time to recover before the Borack Sipho had charged up enough energy to blast the Kamarian with another bolt. It hit him once again. Barley hanging on now, Mydnyte turned toward the rest of the wolves. "A little help here!" he shouted angrily before weakly getting up and sending beams of darkness at some of the Delta's.
---Durandel---
Rising from the lava Durandel noticed more wolves have entered the fray. Are they allies or foes? Durandel wasn't entirely sure until he heard steam from behind him. Some Arlynes from behind the battle field cool down the lava as three wolves lept for Durandel's body. With some quick thinking Durandel shook his fur dry as if he was covered in water and the specks of lava hit the wolves like a rainstorm. Two for them where Boracks, One was an Arlyne. Lava hit the Arlyne's eyes and the water wolf fell into the same lava pit. The Boracks fell to both sides. Durandel, not hesitating made, the lava swirl as he soon made a small wave and it crashed upon the wolf on the right side. Durandel turned his attention to the next wolf as he prepared to do the same, but the Borack caught on as he dodged the wave. Although the speck of lava was still burning him the Borack quickly shot a bolt at the Canicus. Unfortunately Durandel couldn't have dodged the lightning, even though he really wanted to. There was no way he could dodge such an attack at point black range as Durandel fell backwards. His body trembled uncontrollably as the shock wasn't enough to kill him, but he was immobilized by the hit. The Borack though should be in pain was made to ignore it thanks to Rashid's mind control. The Delta etched closer to Durandel knowing his prey is helpless to stop him as he goes in for the kill.
---Summanus---
Summanus fended off the Deltas until these Dimitrios fellows arrived. Dimitrios were clad in stone and stone unfortunately wasn't very conductible. Summanus though had his sword and he could possibly slice open that armor. Still the armor may prove to thick for such a job and he may have to back out. Summanus noticed that a Kamarian arrived. Now that is strange in Summanus' book. Still he appreciated the help as he fought off the higher amp Borack and a Deon. Now for the Dimitrios, with quick thinking he planted his sword in the ground chraged up his shot and blew a lightning bolt at the water the Arlynes shot at him. The lightning surged about shocking the charging Dimitrios, although it slowed them down it didn't seem to kill them like with the Arlynes. Summanus was about to be exhausting his options, he could shoot numerous bolts and eventually chip away at the armor but that is too time consuming. The only thing that could kill these wolves quicker would be the lava. One of these wolves behind him is a Canicus perhaps he could help weaken their armor. When he turned around he noticed one of them was in dire straits. Summanus felt that he couldn't let him die, after all he felt that these wolves need protection. Summanus had little options, either take his chances with these Dimitrios and face death or jump over this lava and have a slim chance of life. Summanus chose the later. Summanus took his sword and charged for the lava. Summoning his strength he made a great leap and landed on the other side. The Dimitrios slowed to a halt as they came face to face with the lava. They could build some sort of bridge but they would have to be carefully as not to disturb the tunnel. Summanus then looked over to the Canicus about to be killed. Even though Summanus jumped over the moat he wouldn;t be able to make the jump over that pit. The moat was more longer than wider and the pit was the opposite. He could have moved around it but there was lava on both sides and he didn't have the time to take the long way around. Summanus was frustrated as he tried to think off something. Then Summanus in a gambit charged his sword and tossed it at the Borack Delta. With luck Summanus' blade impaled the Delta and it dropped to the ground saving Durandel for the time being.
Mydnyte growled at the Dimitrios Deltas and started running towards them. The Dimitrios, carefully planning out a bridge, had little time to react when the Kamarian bit down on the Dimitrios. Instantly, shadows seeped over the wolf before it became nothing. The other two charged at Mydnyte slamming into the poor Kamarian only to hit the Kita's light shield. Mydnyte chuckled before a pool of darkness engulfed the two wolves from where they stand. When the pool was gone, there were no remnants of any other wolves. The dark wolf noticed then that the alpha Borack hadn't thrown a lot of hits lately. He turned his head and noticed that Fox was out of her trance and was fighting off Sipho.
Sipho unfortunately broke free and howled into the air. With that, the wolf's body burst into a yellowlike creature. His fur was standing on end as bolts of electricity shot everywhere. The shield was getting weak but Mydnyte noticed that the ally Borack, Canicus, and Tenneth didn't have anything. Mydnyte jumped over the stream of lava and ran to the side of the Borack and Canicus. He then charged up his energy and created a force field of darkness around the two. It will hold without him concentrating for a good while, he hoped. He then ran off and out of the field where he shot another beam of darkness at the ally Tenneth. Instead of blasting him though, it did the same as the other two. Mydnyte panted a bit and summoned monstrous claws out of his body to start grabbing and killing at the enemy.
Fox meanwhile, summoned vines from beneath the earth to grab wolves around the neck and snap their spines. The Aven wolf looked over at Anakin to see what he was going to do and was shocked to see the wolf continue to attack them instead of doing what she had done. Was it because she was female? Or was he just that far off into the trance? She looked around and saw some of the Delta's hesitating slightly before attacking.
When Sipho saw none of his powers were working, he snarled angrily in frustration and decided to try close combat attacks. That though over, he made his way over to Summanus.
Anti watched everything from above until a Kita brought back Fox from her trance. Anti's ears folded back and he growled before flying off towards Rashid's prison. Once he arrived he ran into Rashid's chambers. "Rashid Sir!" Rashid who was asleep woke up and dazedly looked over at Antigonus. "Sir! A Kita wolf has been seen breaking the trance between the Aven Alpha Fox." Rashid perked up instantly. "What! Grr... Call them back! we can't risk losing any of them and then having a revolt!" He looked over at Anti who was just starting to leave. "HURRY!" Rashid snarled. Anti yelped and scurried out of his chambers and stumbled out of the prison before taking off.
Once he had caught sight of the wolves, Fox had killed a few of the wolves already. "Grr...Traitor." He growled before howling twice. All wolves turned their attention towards the sky and taking off. "Pull back! Pull back!" Sipho howls as the wolves retreat from the others making their way through the woods and towards Rashids prison. Suddenly vines sprouted out of the ground and wrapped around Anakins legs and dragging him towards the others. Anakin growls before getting up and charging at Alina only for his legs to be once again tied by the vines resulting in him to trip and his mouth being tied shut.
#, as written by Krypt
Young Tiberius had to bite firmly down on his paw to keep from letting out a squeal of fright. Having been as curious as ever, the young Arlyne had taken to the trees after his dinner to search for a spring, and where better to start looking than where he had seen those wolves earlier? He had viewed those Tenneths in the valley fighting the fire from his vantage point higher in the forest, so where better to go than to where civilization was? Tenneth's had to drink to, right? Or maybe that was just a myth. Anyway, the pup had taken to the trees before any bit of rationalism could stop him, and he soon regretted it.
A fight had seemed to erupted in front of him. It was like that earlier fight he had witnessed with his companion, but this one was infinitely more diverse. Flames and magma seemed to combat lightning and steam, all hurling together into one fabulous light show. Tiberius tried to shield his eyes, but the roar of battle continued on. Growls, taunts, mocking, cries of agony, the cracking and tearing of flesh all forced their way into his ears. There was nothing romantic about this war. Tears in his eyes, Tiberius released his paw from his maw and ran, ran as fast as he could as far as he could. Even as the sights and sounds died down, one sense still remained, perhaps the most grisly of the three. Carried by the wind and enhanced by the bitter chill, the awful smell of the battle reached his nose. It made him gag. The smell of severed flesh, of adrenaline, of rusty metal armor, of blood, of sweat, of tears. Why was battle always looked at with honor, the pup wondered. It was wretched.
Tiberius managed to reach the heights where he had been with that Aven once again, a look of horror on his face. Taking one last look back, he saw the rustling of trees and heard the pounding of paws as one side headed for the hills. Never would he be part of any battle. Never would he harm another.
---Summanus---
Seeing the collection of wolves retreat Summanus eased himself. Who ever the Kamarian was his shields and abilities helped us in the end. The shield soon fell and Summanus walked around the lava pit and went pass the Canicus. "Don't worry." He spoke mildly. "The numbness will pass on, your body just needs readjustment." Summanus explained as he walked over to the felled Borack. Summanus placed his maw over the handle and removed it from it's body. Summanus then took it over to one of the puddles of water made by those Arlynes and laid the blade upon it. Although it wasn't the best cleaning it did wash off the blood and that was most important, as he took his paw and wiped of the mud. Summanus then took his blade by the lava and held it tightly in his mouth as he let the heat dry it. Once it reached an adequate time he then sheathed his blade and returned to the others. He noticed the Kita was injured as she tried to hide it by trying to get up. "You shouldn't force yourself to move." Summanus spoke towards Alina. "You need to have someone check your injuries." Summanus recommended. "Preferably someone who is good with medicine." Summanus looked around at the destruction. It was quite a battle but he wondered why it even happened. This could have been a part of any war effort. There where far too many different wolves fighting at once. Something strange was at work here but Summanus couldn't place it.
---Durandel---
Durandel slowly started to rise, but the numbness from the shock was still persistent. Durandel fell down again as his legs felt like jelly. He tried to speak as well but his tongue was feeling the similar affects as the rest of his body. Durandel decided to lay down and allow the numbness to pass, hopefully it will not take so long a time. Durandel decided to watch the others. He notived the Kita that arrived was badly injured, if he might have helped if it wasn't for the electricity that surged about him. In his current state he can't exactly help anyone even himself. He would like to thank the Borack for saving his life but he couldn't exactly formulate words that are coherent. Instead he watched everyone and everything carefully, you can never be too sure during a war.
Fox
Fox looked at the fallen Kita. Vines wrapped around her body and head before they lifted her up and onto her feet. Fox quickly walked to the Kita's side before one of the vines grew around her front body as well. "Borack. Assist on the other side please." Fox said in a bit of a struggle as she snapped the vine from the ground. All the Kita's weight(Which wasn't a lot really considering she needed to lift off the ground to fly) seemed to almost drag her down, thankfully Fox was strong enough to hold her up.
Mydnyte
Mydnyte staggered over to the others. Panting was no option. His sides heaved a bit as his muzzle collected much needed air. He looked over at Durandel. "H-hey what happened back there." He said in a somewhat stern voice almost commanding for an answer. He had no idea what was going on. All he aw were wolves with white eyes and a large whole in the earth which looked like some sort of tunnel. Mydnyte could never be sure though.
Cerise
Cerise followed the group. Her eyes were trained on the Seti. Excitement seemed to build up inside of her and fatigue no longer became an issue. Almost everyone had never seen a Seti, and here was one. Standing about five feet away from her! She had so many questions, but she decided that all that has happened to the poor guy had already been quite enough. The next thing he needs is to be bombarded with questions from a very excited Avira like herself. Cerise sighed deeply. Her eyes were wondering around the room that they had just entered until they rested on a plate of food in front of her. She licked her chops and took notice that Nova had already started to chow down on his food. Eagerly to. She smiled and dove into her food as well. Her ears picked up the sound of Warrior about to discuss a plan to them. Plan! they had just got here. Ugh, it seems that they would have to be on the move once more.
Once Cerise was done with her delicious meat, she looked over at Warrior to see what sort of plan they needed to discuss.
---Summanus---
"Yes of course." Summanus answered as he helped the Kita on the left side. He helped give her support. "Since your an Aven do you have any medicine to help with such a cut?" Summanus asked Fox as he looked towards the Kita's injury. Summanus noticed the Kamarian speak in a demanding sort of way. Then he noticed him speaking towards the red wolf. "I'm sorry he won't be able to speak properly for a few minutes since he's numb from the shock." "You see a Borack hit him dead on, thankfully he didn't generate enough amps to kill him but he did incapacitate him." "I wouldn't worry though he will be back on his feet in a little bit." Summanus explained to Mydnyte.
---Schemeko---
He followed the others and found the rooms and plates of food for each of them. It will be strange to eat something other than toads and snakes but it won't be terrible for him. Schemeko ate the food as he heard that plans will be made. Something about rebellions and gods. None of the stuff that really interests Schemeko. Really? Gods and Goddesses? They are all tales or if they were real they most certainly forgotten about them. Of course this was just his own opinion but he didn't voice them. Obviously it would make these wolves upset. Anyway Schemeko could do with some rest it has been awhile. Schemeko decided to rest at least there are worse places to rest. Before he could slip away he heard Nova and the strange wolf speak up. Hmph, this wolf certainly pick the most "ill-opportune" time to ask for help. Schemeko thought to himself as he gave a slight chuckle. Then Nova obviously didn't like the sound of underground wolves rebelling. Which makes sense if these wolves are the same as WarriorDemon then where all screwed. Schemeko laughed a little bit to himself, it was funny to think that a bunch of tunnel wolves were going to kill them all. Life certainly has a sick sense of humor. It was odd for Schemeko not say anything but he felt he could contribute very little to any of these wolves problems. He had no desire to quell rebellions and to assist in helping empresses, these were all jobs for some sort of government. Schemeko was definitely not a public servant. In fact Schemeko tried his best to stay out of the war, he had no desire to fight in it besides why would he? All of the chaos was humorous to witness but he knew that wars don't last forever so being uninvolved just ensured it will last at least a little longer. It's not like he longed for war he isn't a warmonger, but he merely appreciated the strife that came with it. The despair and destruction was certainly an art form. Of course there are better ways to see this than just by war, it's just that war is the easiest to start. Schemeko decided not to voice his opinion he was already dragged in enough of this more than he wished to be. In the meantime he is going to rest he can't exactly think well while tired. Schemeko then closed his eyes and tried to receive as much rest as he possibly could.
Fox
Fox turned her head toward the Borack wolf. "Hmm...Medicine? I'm sorry but I was trained as a warrior not a doctor..." Fox says in a somewhat monotone voice. She then starts to walk in the direction of the tunnel. "Do you know what lies in the tunnel?" She asks Summanus.
Mydnyte
Mydnyte noticed the wolf not speaking as Summanus began to speak up. "Oh.." He mutters before flicking his tail a bit before following Fox.
((Yay short posts))
Cerise
As Cerise began to sink deeper into her doze, flashes of some sort of...battle appeared before her. They were little snip its but she could make out the entire thing... A dark wolf and a light wolf preparing to fight...The dark wolf appearing out of the shadows...The dark wolf chained up...The last snip it was of that same wolf snarling out as all the wolves in front of him seemed to fade away into nothingness...Taking away each layer, first skin, muscle, then bones. Eventually the bones fell to the ground until they were nothing but dust as well. Everything was silent after that. It took Cerise a moment before she realized there was nothing...
Cerise's eyes flashed open and her tail lifted off her eyes. Now wide awake, not caring about how much sleep she got, she stood and made her way over to another side of the room before sitting down. She yawned and looked around her before remembering past events, she sighed. "U-uhh, I can watch over them for now Warrior. You go ahead and find who ever can help us..." she says, remembering the last thing she heard from Warrior before she dozed off. Cerise looked away from WarriorDemons eyes knowing well enough of her mind reading capabilities.
---Summanus---
"Hm?" Summanus mumbled as he looked over to the tunnel then back to Fox. "I'm sorry I have no idea, you may want to ask one of the fire wolves." Summanus said point his nose at Rokunam and then at Durandel. "After all I only arrived after these two where attacked, not before." "If anyone would know anything it would be one of them." Summanus replied. He never heard of Aven warriors but he suppose every pack needs some since a war is raging. He had no interest in the war, mainly because he has no allegiances. He may be a Borack but he is not affiliated with the pack and merely has performed odd jobs for anyone hiring. Pretty much Summanus has sat out of this war, sure he has seen the destruction during his wandering and had to defend himself from time to time. Overall however, Summanus has not partaken in any of the many battles that has occurred over the island, and the only time he did help his pack was when he was hired by Shimmer Doom. Yet he could hardly call that a battle when her Boracks invaded the Sakura Ruins. The Kitas peacefully surrendered it was rather surprising and Summanus did respect them for their peaceful ways. Holding up this Kita here is making him regret helping Shimmer Doom, sure she said it was for the Cause but what was the Cause? Summanus at least was grateful he didn't have to kill any of the Kitas. Still he felt bad for the one here before him. Does she even know her people have been taken prisoner? Does she know that the Ruins she called home is being occupied by the Boracks? Summanus hoped she was unaware of their situation, he would hate to have her know about such saddening news. Even if she did he would have to deny his knowledge of it, he did promise Shimmer after all. The Borack with the title of "Doom". In the Borack pack they give titles to their most distinguishing warriors, yet there are seven prestigious titles. Out of these seven titles it is said that "Doom" is the most prestigious next to "Bane", another title.
---Durandel---
Once again Durandel tried to pull himself up once again only to feel numb. He wobbled around as he tried to gain his footing but it was difficult. It was as if walking on water or lava. The ground felt like it was unstable and made of soft material as it threatened to knock him down again. Durandel persisted but only managed to make baby step as his body trembled. He could still feel his tongue was numb as he tried to produce words but failed to make any kind of coherent sound. Durandel merely stood still as he tried to shake out of it but it proved fruitless as he fell down again. Durandel picked himself up again and continued to make more baby steps as he slowly began to regain his footing.
