"Oh...opps. Honestly, I didn't mean to!"

This poor destitute soul appears to be an abandoned character, but their creator chose not to give them up for adoption. They now roam their universe with no true purpose. How terribly depressing...

Mayah's eyes are probably her most defining feature. They are a bright ocean blue, which change colour depending on the light. They are framed by thick eyelashes and are an elegant almond shape and hold a kind look. Her skin is fairly pale, with her cheeks flushed a gentle pink. Long wavy blonde hair reaches the middle of her back, with strands always falling about her face. She is fairly tall, with a slender body that curves in all of the right places. Normally she is adorned in skinny jeans and t-shirts, usually with one of her many leather or demin jackets. One thing about her appearance that Mayah positively detests is the small teardrop shaped birthmark beneath her left eye.

Name: Mayah Reid

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Power: Water Gem: Unknowingly Mayah has inherited the powers of the Water Gem. This will allow her to manipulate the element of water however she wishes. If she wanted to create a tidal wave, well then she could. If she wanted it to rain, then she could make it rain. However, she cannot create water, but there is moisture in just about everything and she will use this to form her attack. An ability she will later possess will be to remove all of the moisture from a persons body, which well...it'll stop them. Depending on the amount of water that she chooses to manipulate will depend on how weak she becomes afterwards. A large body of water will sap her energy fairly quickly and water over a large distance will ultimately do the same.

Skills: Mayah's father owns a ranch out in the country and she has been there many times, though she does not often see her father any more. She is a skilled rider and loves horses. Her father also taught her on the ranch how to throw a lasso and improve her concentration and aim. She can aim and throw just about anything, with it hitting the target every single time.

Weapon: Two simple daggers, hidden in her boots.

Personality: Mayah is a happy, bubbly person who is full of life and energy no matter what. Often she can be spotted smiling, or chatting away to a number of people at once. She is a kind young woman with a heart of pure gold. If she can assist anyone with anything, then she will try to. She would never wish any harm to anyone or anything, it is simply not in her nature. Helping is what she does best, not hurting. The problem is, trouble always follows her around, that and she often puts her trust in the wrong people. She is fairly clumsy and often when she tries to help, it turns out worse. However, the point is that she tries and sometimes she achieves what she wants and manages to help. But even if she can't help directly, she's always ready with a smile and a kind word. Her eyes are always bright and cheerful too.

And although she natters away, she is also very observant when it comes to people. She notices things that perhaps others don't realise. It's a skill that she picked up with her sisters. If you watch carefully, you will always see something that others don't. For this reason, she prefers to follow others leadership, rather than be a leader herself. You can learn more about people if you follow, rather than impose yourself upon them and make them follow you.

Bio: Mayah is the second youngest in a family of seven and was named after the Hebrew word for water, "mayim" though why her mother choose this name is still a mystery. Her mother and father, three older sisters and one younger brother. When she was only five, her parents divorced and her father followed his dream of opening a ranch. Even still, he provided for them wherever he could and made sure that they never went without. Their mother worked hard as well, but she always made sure she was there for her daughters and her son when they needed her. Her childhood and upbringing apart from this were fairly normal, apart from having to wrestle with three sisters from the bathroom every morning. That and travelling to her father's ranch every summer, the only time that she got to see him. Even still, she loved that place and wished desperately that she could spend more time there.

At school, Mayah found that although she had many friends she would never be overly popular. She was too nice. That said, she had friends that cared about her and she completely enjoyed her time at high school. So when the assembly was called, she immediately signed up. She loved meeting new people and it seemed like an opportunity that simply could not be missed. Now, she waits to see what will happen...

Mayah Reid's Story

Suki coughed sand from her mouth and licked her dry lips, a mistake she realized almost immediately as sand began to stick to them. The other girl looked far worse off than Suki herself. She'd have to save her questions until they were back at the oasis... if they could find it again.

"My name's Suki," she stated, half yelling in order to get her voice to even work. "Let's save our energy for getting to the oasis that I came from!" She didn't even wait for the blond haired girl to reply, but turned around and began heading toward her destination. The sand was again burning her feet as it overflowed into her sandals and it stung her eyes when it drifted through her eyelashes. It would seem like forever until they would reach the little haven.

Mayah didn't need telling twice. If there was a beautiful oasis nearby, then they needed to find it, or else they weren't going to last much longer out in the relentless desert. As the red-haired girl turned and lead the way, the young woman fell into step behind her. Well, step probably wasn't the correct work. Stumble, stagger or dragged her feet through the sand were closer to what happened. Sand was beginning to seep into her boots, which made everything that much more uncomfortable. Sand was everywhere actually. It stung her face and her eyes and itched in her hair. But this oasis had to be close. It had to be.

It seemed like hours, but it probably wasn't indeed that long. After a while on the horizon, trees come into view. Mayah let out a sigh of relief, picking up the pace to get to their destination quicker. The brilliant greens looked beautiful against the desert oranges and yellows. Life. There was life in this barren place. And water. Mayah could see the reflection of the sun, glinting on the surface of crystal clear water. Her mouth became drier than ever before. The moment they entered the shade of the trees, the difference could easily be defined. It was far cooler in the shaded area, protected from the blistering heat of the sun. Sinking to her knees, the blonde girl drank handfuls of water, trying to quench her thirst. Ripples danced across the surface of pool, their depths welcoming for anyone lost within the desert. It was pure bliss there. As soon as she had drank her fill, Mayah's attention was returned to her saviour.

"I cannot thank you enough," She gushed, climbing to her feet with a bright smile. Her wind swept hair was tugged over one shoulder, but apart from that, she ignored it. "I could have been out there walking for days. I'm Mayah. Mayah Reid by the way. Your name is Suki right? It's really nice to meet you. But can you tell me anything about this place? I shouldn't be here." Her smile faded to a look of pure worry. Chewing her bottom lip, she cast a look around, before her blue eyes fell upon the girl once again. Hopefully she would have some answers, but from the look of her clothing, she too was not meant to be here. Her heart sunk slightly.
