Power: A blinding bright light that can pierce through skin and burn corrupt souls. It can effectively cleanse people of their bitter and darkest thoughts, but comes at a great personal price. The user loses happiness and an unstable mind can become corrupt. She can also sense negative emotions to the point where it impacts on hers, which makes her quite anti-social.
The light can be merged with her blade to create a magical weapon. The blade however becomes immediately blunt after use.

Skills: Tess is a skilled hunter and has been trained in survival. She can hunt, track, and knows many tonics for mild poisons. While hunting prey she also was taught how to remain hidden while fleeing or sneaking from enemies. She has a hobby of climbing trees, but she wouldn't regard that as a major skill.
She has excelled in combat with a sword, and has a bit of experience with a bow.

Weapon: A longsword, and a bow.

Personality: Tess is a loner at heart. She tries to help as many people as she can, but her powers make this very limited to the amount of people she can socialize with. She is loyal, determined to get a job done, but unwillingly lonely. She gets the negative emotions of people she cleanses, whether they be children mourning death or those wronged by society.
Bio: Tess was born into a popular middle-class family. Her father was a royal knight for the Kingdom of light. Tess was never interested in womanly duties, she would much rather be hunting with her brothers and father. Her father knew there was no arguing with her so he trained her when he had the free time, which wasn't often. He quickly saw how adept she was with a blade.

When the Gem of Light chose her, her family watched the young bubbly girl change. She became closed off and anti-social. Feeling every doubt within people changed her and led her to a life of isolation. She visits towns only when they need her, but will not be selfish when someone desperately needs to be cleansed.
In recent times, Tess has become even more closed off, she knows this is because of the result of war. The villagers fear makes her genuinely scared to interact and socialize.
