"So you want to hear a story, eh?
Hmm.
How about one of treachery, lust, deceit, greed, and revenge?
Yes. I will tell you the story of the man that became a god...
...Our story takes place in a world covered in darkness, both figuratively and literally. A time where brave knights lived and died by a chivalrous code, powerful wizards bent magic to their will, and giant monsters roamed the earth as well as skies. The world was a perilous one, yet good still existed, but one mortal would see it destroyed.
Azrael, a man who was no stranger to hardship, was born into this world with nobody to love him. His mother died giving birth to him and his father was a nameless war casualty. With no family to take care of him or servants, he was sent to the orphanage. From there on, his life would be nothing, but struggle and worry. Azrael's only friend was Magic, which he soon learned he had a knack for. He would later take this ability and use it to elevate his status from bottom feeder to royalty.
He searched for years to enhance his powers, to ascend and become an Arch Mage. It was in this search he acquired The Collector's Grimoire: a book of arcane knowledge gathered by a powerful Arch Mage. It contained many secrets and forbidden knowledge, which Azrael hoped would teach him how to ascend or other ways to increase one's magical prowess. However, this is not what he found. Instead he stumbled across the legend of Abaddon The Destroyer, a demon of immense power.
The legend told how the demon was tricked into immortality and sealed away for his evil deeds. His essence had been trapped in the very pages of the book, bound by The Collector's powers, only to be released by reciting an incantation and performing a non-negotiable blood pact ritual. Azrael pondered over this thought for days. It was not exactly what he wanted, but it would still yield the same results and maybe even more; it was settled. Azrael summoned the demon, seeing this as the way to get what he so desperately desired.
Without fault, the demon was released. In thanks, Abaddon swore his undying allegiance and gave him 4 gifts: A Kingdom: his to rule and do with as he pleases; Immortality: a long life to enjoy all he will come to own; Grand Power: to become a formidable foe, feared by all; A Vast Army: To forever secure his position and kingdom.
The deed was done. Abaddon and Azrael had signed a soul binding contract, which guaranteed both parties everything they wanted. But, Abaddon was no Genie; he couldn't just snap his fingers and the warlock's wishes would come true. The kingdom, army, and even the power would still have to be earned and taken, thus began The Conquering.
The Conquering is the name of the shortest war in history, lasting only a month. There was no strategy, no tactics, it was more of senseless slaughter; anything in the army’s path was obliterated. The Old King, was dethroned and killed, Azrael's kingdom had been claimed. In the years following so would his other gifts: immortality, grand power, and of course his vast army. Strength now proven, this gave birth to a new being that the world would soon come to know as their eternal ruler: God King Azrael and The Holy Kingdom of Cam Lire.
However, not everyone saw Azrael as their god, some saw him as a plague that must be cured. So as his armies marched to new lands, they met opposition. Even rebellions started rising from within his kingdom. It would seem his dream would be differed just a moment longer. Despite all his might, people were still finding the will to stand and fight. Call it stupidity or courage, however small, hopes still existed. Because no matter how powerful or strong he became, everyone knew, even a god can bleed...
Our story resumes thirty years later. It is there, where things become interesting:
As The God King battles to keep his throne and extend his reign across the world. Meanwhile he cannot trust anyone, but a demon who wishes to take his soul. Not even his family or allies are to be trusted, for they have their own secret motives and goals they wish to see succeed. With rebellion always on the rise, untrustworthy partners watching his back and his goal well within reach - Will he obtain what he seeks or will he die trying?

This RP is about the reign of the God King, Azrael and the events leading to his death or complete control of the world. How the story unfolds is up to you and me as roleplayers. Nothing is predetermined, depending on what happens, the roleplay could last a month or a few days. Creativity will be the most important quality in this RP.
You should know that this is also sort of a sequel. We will begin the RP in Chapter 2 of the story, much has changed in the kingdom due to the actions that took place in Chapter 1. This is available to be read, but it won't be necessary. There will be multiple roles that must be filled before the RP will begin, but they are only titles, which means you still have creative freedom.
It is pretty clear that this will be a character driven RP. The story and outcome of events will be heavily dependent on your character and their actions. However, this is not a never-ending story, but it is very open. Probably even more so since it will not be clear on how to achieve what outcome. Even though this will be a fantasy RP, I would like everything to be realistic and somewhat logical. Meaning, cities are miles apart, so your character shouldn’t go from A -– B in seconds.
The roleplay takes place in the Dark Ages or Medieval time period, on a fantasy earth. More precisely, in a country called Cam lire which is a fictional variant of England. This is Epic Fantasy, and so there will be multiple races available and mythical beast and creatures roam the earth. They are unique to the world, but not unheard of. Just a note on the language -- I would like it to be authentic to the time and era, but it’s not necessary. Just avoid using slang and do your best.
Like all of my RPs, this is information heavy. So this is not for rookies are those who hate to read extra details. Also, when it is time to begin posting, the IC will be located in the forums. No worries, I will provide a link.
Character interaction is also very important to the success of the roleplay. I will try as hard as I can to help everyone interact with each other, since I am GM. But, also try to do this yourself. This is easier with small roleplays, but in case this RP is big, then don’t be afraid to send another player a PM and begin planning.
So just remember, creativity and character interaction, are absolute for the roleplay to succeed and be great.

To help give a bit of creative direction, I am offering roles for characters. These are not necessary, nor are they important to the story. They are only optional and you will still have complete creative freedom, if you decide to take one. However, some roles do have a required race attached to them, gender, or a bit age specific. That is a far as creative restrictions go on roles.
Roles are little more, than titles with a specific background and occupation attached. You can have multiple roles depending on which you choose, a few a them can be doubled as well. Specifically, the Queen role and the Offspring role. For the roles that can only have one RPer, it will not be a first come first serve, but simply who is better suited. However, if I have already accepted your character for that role, then it is no longer available to others, unless you quit or abandon the RP.
If you have a idea for a different role, no need to PM me, just go ahead and give yourself the title. The one's I list below are just basic ones that I came up with. Not a lot of thought went into them and I won't be updating list, unless it is to say a role has been taken.

- The God King's Queen: The queen to the God King, this role is highly customizable. Can be any race, but must be female and at least over the age of 20. I would like for this to be his current, but whether she actually has love for him, is to be decided by you.Role Taken By:

- God King's Offspring: Far from important or necessary, you have the option of playing one of King's son's or daughter. This means you are a prince or princess, or it could mean you are just a street kid. Depending on whether your mother was a queen or just a fling, or if she even lives in castle could change your life. This role is completely customizable.Role Taken By:

- The Sealed Demon: Very important, but not necessary. I decided to make this role a option for others to play, instead of playing it myself. However there is a time limit, this role will only be available until I have finished the character sheet for the God King, after that, I will take the role myself. - God King's Advisor: At first this role was the same role as the Sealed Demon, but I decided that they could be separate entities entirely. As this role, you play the God King's go-to-guy/girl for advice. Consequently, you are someone that the God King trust, therefore you could have grew up together, be related to him, or maybe you were appointed to him once he became King. This role is completely customizable, though I would assume they are of adult age.Role Taken By:

- God King's Army General: The leader of Cam Lire's most formidable army, this too was thought to be a role shared with the sealed demon, but I decided otherwise. I would assume this role to belong to a lethal warrior or a brilliant tactician, but it is up to you. Whether they have history with the God King or not is also optional. This role also does not have to be male, could even be paired with the Queen. So needless to say, this role is completely customizable, though I would assume they are of adult age.Role Taken By:

- God King's Champion: The people's champion, this role differs from the general but is similar. The character will be in charge of defending the capital and the surrounding area, also castle defense. This role is completely customizable.Role Taken By:

- Royal Spy: In charge of handling discrete royal business, you are to be the invisible hand to the royal family. The character is free to lead their own life, but when beckoned their job is to accomplish any task their master sets forth. This role is completely customizable.Role Taken By:

- Rebellion Leader: The leader of the infamous rebellion. Whether they have started recruiting or not, this character doesn't even have to know he or she is going to be leading a rebellion. But, one day soon, they will have to own up to the title. Somehow this character had to have been affected personally by the God King's reign. - Elder Elf: In Wood Eleven societies, exist village councils composed of the most distinguished families' eldest members. So you will be playing one of these, primarily the eldest on the council holding the most power. This role is not needed, but I thought it would be good to have a least one character representing the elves. So this role is completely customizable except the age requirement, which puts your character at the age of an elder of some elven family.Role Taken By:

- Dwarf Clan Leader: In Shield Dwarven society they are divided into clans, built along family ties and political allegiances. These clans are usually led by hereditary rulers, often monarchs of a sort and descended from the founder of the clan. Much like the previous role, you will be doing the same here. - Helborne Empress: Ruler of the biggest community of Helborne and ally of The God King. This is one of the few roles that require you to be an ally to the God King, at least for the beginning of the roleplay. This role is completely customizable, despite the title saying Empress.Role Taken By:

- Fey King & Queen: Rulers of the infamous Fey, you have finally reemerged after years of being hiding. Where their allegiance lies, no one is sure as no one even knew they still existed These roles are completely customizable, except for race and one must be male and the other female.Role Taken By:

- Orc Chieftain: Whether this Orc is the biggest savage of them all or simply the smartest, they are the absolute ruler of a confederation tribes. This role can be female, but it is unlikely as Males are the dominant gender in orcish society and females are little more than a prized possession. Character creation for this RP is a bit complex, or maybe the better word(s) is intricate and overly detailed. There are character classes, specializations, different races, moral alignments, and other choices. To help you, I have created multiple info pages which links can be found in the Links section above or in the OOC Tab.
I have substituted moral alignments form personality descriptions, since to me that describes the character even better than you might be able to. Though if you want, you can still add in a personality description. Also I do sometimes prefer pictures, but a written description is more than welcome as well. And though I have said this before, I will say it again: be creative. There are too many options available, so characters should only be similar in race.
Also let's discuss character balance for a second. Think of a character as a six sided die. If we use a typical human as the average norm, their stats would fall into line as 3’s across the board -- with a 1 & 2 = Below Average, 4’s = Above Average (but nothing spectacular), and 5 & 6 = Well Above Average & Really Good.
So where does exceptional or perfect fit in?
Well this takes us well past typical human greatness and the exponentially harder to achieve 7 & 8 = Exceptional; 9 = Near Perfect; 10 = Perfect.
How do you get there?
Racial Strengths, (i.e.) an elf mage is likely to be superior to humans because of their longevity and heritage. Or if you are studying in one area to become exceptional, though you will probably falter in another after devoting time and resources to one and not the other.
Unless you are auditioning for the role such as a God, one should consider a more mediocre approach to character creation. The upper levels are just that, the exception to the rule.
Just a note: though I have made a character application, you do not have to use it. Although I require the same information to be present somewhere within your sheet. So you might be better off using it anyway. Also please try to restrain from listing personality traits as weaknesses. If you really must make it so, then at least list a good one.

- This RP is about as Adult as it can get while staying within RPG rules, so just remember that.
- Quality over quantity.
- Be creative. Don't be afraid to let your imagination run away. I have a leash I can tug on if you get too far away...
- I want only serious, dedicated, experienced RPers only. I feel I have those skills, so it is only right I ask for the people of this RP to have the same.
- Your character can and might die, so keep that in mind.
- Be familiar with text fighting. It isn't necessary for you know how to text fight, but it will be appreciated in fight scenes.
- Just because this is a fantasy RP, doesn't mean your character is a one man army.
- A tad bit of common sense is required here. Not to be a jerk, but I'm just saying...
- Once your character has died, they are forever gone from the RP. Unless, they are brought back to life; which the method will have to be discussed first.
- You can have more than one character, as long as you can proficiently RP them.
- Also please DO NOT POST anywhere EXCEPT the OOC, until I say otherwise.
- If you quit, please abandon your character. It helps make room so other's characters can be seen.
- READ EVERYTHING! Not just because I spent hours of my life writing it, but just because it explains a lot of the RP. And will save a lot of time and questions.

Chapter 2 Story Arcs
- Story Arc 1 - Calvarre Fortress Siege: Rebellion Leader Asher Thrawn, suspects the God King has discovered that he is the last remaining rebel general and is planning an assault on his fortress. Any day now, under the guise as a tax collector, the attack will begin. As a result, he has begun gathering soldiers and mercenaries from across the land to aid in the fight. However, he has suddenly gone missing. Rumors say he has run in fear of his life, leaving everyone to suffer for his actions. But William Campborn, mercenary leader of the Lions, has decided to stay and fight; he, his men, and what remains of the hired sell swords and rebels will see this siege through to the bloody end.

- Story Arc 2 - The Ostasos Tournament: It's the eve of the biggest tournament in Wolfeil and everyone is making preparations to enter or enjoy the show. For many, this is not just another chance to make some extra coin, no, it is much more. This is a shot at freedom for slaves and gladiators, for if they win their reward is worth more than any amount of gold. But for professional fighters, this is what they have worked all year for: the glory, the gold, and the respect. This is the event of the year and spectators from all across Cam Lire are expected to show up.

- Story Arc 3 - The Savages of Aelden: The God King has had it with the wood elves of the Aelden; they have thwarted his plans for the last time. Too long has he had his eyes set on harvesting their precious lumber? But instead of behaving like loyal subjects, they refuse what is rightfully his. No more though. He will have what he wants and a fleet of Warforged shall guarantee it. However, before he can do things his way, he has agreed to a final meeting of peace between the elder elf, all arranged by his eldest daughter. A treaty will be discussed, where both parties will get what they want, or... he will go with plan B.

- Story Arc 4 - Blood Feud: With the God King away on business and most of his council the same, there is no one to watch over the kingdom; except, Prince Azul. Seeing this as his chance to shine, the young mage steps up and accepts responsibility. Has the Blood Prince bit off more than he can chew? Or will he be handle the reigns, especially with the help of his long lost brother: Prince Terryn, the original son of god.

Dang, months inbetween posts.
Well, so far my characters are not really doing much. My jester's just being foolish as usual, and the other one is poking his head around trying to get a grasp of what's going on with the rebellion and the godking.

A missing GM doesn't help either.
I will try to get things back on track next week. But, a missing 7 does present a major problem, one that I have been trying to fix. I will have to see who else is missing as well... good thing is, I think everyone is still willing to be part of this.

People are just busy; plus, 7achary is a rather important factor. With him having been gone, for me at least, things have slowed. I really can't do much without him so I'm unforunately at a standstill myself.

I suppose I could get involved with the Dwarves if need be. As an unofficial ambassador (temporarily) I should put my characters talents to work. Plus, I have nothing to do at the moment with 7achary being away.

Well, we are close to a cave, and since the dwarfs also have tunnels through the mountains, you could send diplomats through there to establish contact with the rebels. It is a dangerous cave with mad cave goblins and huge spiders, but hey...Nothing comes easy these days!

Gyah, I need some way to get the dwarves involved in this war before it's over. Are there any Rebel diplomats or anything who could head north in an effort to get allies, or will I have to write some in myself/make something up?

7achary being gone really does present a problem; especially for me. I do have a few paragraphs worth of a post but I feel that it's rather useless to finish it since it hinges on 7achary's reply. Plus, I need him to look over what I have so far for a few reasons. This kind of sucks. D:

Waiting on the posts of the others in the arc. Since 7achary is supposed to be on my side I'm waiting to see if he makes any actions. I can assure you though I'll be breaking formation and rushing the walls out of sheer; "Fuck me sideways they have more everything than us!"

Sorry for the delay everyone; then again, since 7achary is a bit busy, I'm not in much of a rush to have my post up. All the same, I should have it up tomorrow after I talk with 7achary. In my post I'm introducing my characters NPC guard; with that said, expect it to be a big confusing perhaps. I didn't really go into explaining their appearance or anything. I'll have the sheets up in time for my post. ^^
