A1PLOT
Treachery, lust, deceit, greed, and revenge -- What all these things have in common, is that they are all qualities of a good story; and this tale will be no different. Our story takes place in a time when the world was covered in darkness, both figuratively and literally. Though good still existed, one mortal would see it destroyed.
Azrael, a once weak mage, grew tired of being a bottom feeder and sought to elevate his status. It was in this search he acquired the grimoire of an archmage. It contained many secrets and forbidden knowledge, the greatest of them all was the legend of Abaddon, a demon of immense power. The legend told how the demon was tricked into immortality and sealed away for his evil deeds. The demon’s essence had been trapped in the very pages of the book, bound by the mages powers, only to be released by reciting an incantation and performing a non-negotiable blood pact ritual.
Seeing this as the way to get what he so desperately desired, Azrael summoned the demon. And without fault, the demon was released. In thanks, Abaddon swears his undying allegiance and gave him 4 gifts: A Kingdom- his to rule and do with as he pleases; Immortality- a long life to enjoy all he will come to own; Grand Power- to become a formidable foe, feared by all; A Vast Army- To forever secure his position and kingdom.
And thus began the reign of Azrael, the God King.
Of course there was opposition -- Cam Lire would not simply lie down. However, it didn’t take long for the opposing forces to be crushed under Azrael and Abaddon’s might. The Conquering is the name of the shortest war in history, lasting only a month. There was no strategy, no tactics, it was more of senseless slaughter; anything in the army’s path was obliterated. All that was left came to be known as the Desolate Plains, a barren wasteland, which stands as a testament to what the trifecta can accomplish.
Strength now proven, thirty years has passed under Azrael’s rule. The God King’s empire now expands beyond the watery borders of Cam Lire. But, despite his might, people are still finding the will to stand and fight. Call it stupidity or courage, however small, hope still exist. Because no matter how powerful or strong he becomes, everyone knows, even a god can bleed.
A2ABOUT
This RP is about the reign of the God King, Azrael and the events leading to his death or complete control of the world. How the story unfolds is up to you and me as roleplayers. Nothing is predetermined, depending on what happens, the roleplay could last a month or a few days. Creativity will be the most important quality in this RP.
It is pretty clear that this will be a character driven RP. The story and outcome of events will be heavily dependent on your character and their actions. However, this is not a never-ending story, it has an ending, but it is very open. Probably even more so, since it will not be clear on how to achieve what outcome. Even though this will be a fantasy RP, I would like everything to be realistic and somewhat logical. Meaning, cities are miles apart, so your character shouldn’t go from A -– B in seconds.
The roleplay takes place in the Dark Ages or Medieval time period, on a fantasy earth. More precisely, in a country called Cam lire which is a fictional variant of England. This is Epic Fantasy, and so there will be multiple races available and mythical beast and creatures roam the earth. They are unique to the world, but not unheard of. Just a note on the language -- I would like it to be authentic to the time and era, but it’s not necessary. Just avoid using slang and do your best.
Like all of my RPs, this is information heavy. So this is not for rookies are those who hate to read extra details. Also, when it is time to begin posting, the IC will be located in the forums. No worries, I will provide a link. But, this is because of my own problems, which don’t allow me to post in RP Tabs.
Character interaction is also very important to the success of the roleplay. I will try as hard as I can to help everyone interact with each other, since I am GM. But, also try to do this yourself. This is easier with small roleplays, but in case this RP is big, then don’t be afraid to send another player a PM and begin planning.
So just remember, creativity and character interaction, are absolute for the roleplay to succeed and be great.
A3ROLES
To help give a bit of creative direction, I am offering roles for characters. These are not necessary, nor are they important to the story. They are only optional and you will still have complete creative freedom, if you decide to take one. However, some roles do have a required race attached to them, gender, or a bit age specific. That is a far as creative restrictions go on roles.
Roles are little more, than titles with a specific background and occupation attached. You can have multiple roles depending on which you choose, a few a them can be doubled as well. Specifically, the Queen role and the Offspring role. For the roles that can only have one RPer, it will not be a first come first serve, but simply who is better suited. However, if I have already accepted your character for that role, then it is no longer available to others, unless you quit or abandon the RP.
If you have a idea for a different role, no need to PM me, just go ahead and give yourself the title. The one's I list below are just basic ones that I came up with. Not a lot of thought went into them and I won't be updating list, unless it is to say a role has been taken.
Roles
- The God King's Queen: The queen to the God King, this role is highly customizable. Can be any race, but must be female and at least over the age of 20. Also this does not mean you have to be his current queen, could be his 1st or his 25th, you don't even have to be living at the castle.Role Taken By:

- God King's Offspring: Far from important or necessary, you have the option of playing one of King's son's or daughter. This means you are a prince or princess, or it could mean you are just a street kid. Depending on whether your mother was a queen or just a fling, or if she even lives in castle could change your life. This role is completely customizable.Role Taken By:
- The Eldest Daughter: Iphigenia Wynter played by That one guy
- The Eldest Son: Azul Wynter played by Thepyromaker
- The Bastard Son: Connell Donaghy played by Yonbibuns
- The Sealed Demon: Very important, but not necessary. I decided to make this role a option for others to play, instead of playing it myself. However there is a time limit, this role will only be available until I have finished the character sheet for the God King, after that, I will take the role myself. Other than that, PM me if you are interested in the role so we can discuss the specifics and your idea, since this role too is customizable.Role Taken By:
- Abaddon, The Destroyer played by FlySociety
- God King's Advisor: At first this role was the same role as the Sealed Demon, but I decided that they could be separate entities entirely. As this role, you play the God King's go-to-guy/girl for advice. Consequently, you are someone that the God King trust, therefore you could have grew up together, be related to him, or maybe you were appointed to him once he became King. This role is completely customizable, though I would assume they are of adult age.Role Taken By:
- Nicolaisujiama Hansukemiro played by Winds Of Fate
- God King's Army General: The leader of Cam Lire's most formidable army, this too was thought to be a role shared with the sealed demon, but I decided otherwise. I would assume this role to belong to a lethal warrior or a brilliant tactician, but it is up to you. Whether they have history with the God King or not is also optional. This role also does not have to be male, could even be paired with the Queen. So needless to say, this role is completely customizable, though I would assume they are of adult age.Role Taken By:

- Rebellion Leader: The leader of the infamous rebellion. Whether they have started recruiting or not, this character doesn't even have to know he or she is going to be leading a rebellion. But, one day soon, they will have to own up to the title. Somehow this character had to have been affected personally by the God King's reign. So besides the bit about the history, this character is completely customizable.Role Taken By:

- Elder Elf: In Wood Eleven societies, exist village councils composed of the most distinguished families' eldest members. So you will be playing one of these, primarily the eldest on the council holding the most power. This role is not needed, but I thought it would be good to have a least one character representing the elves. So this role is completely customizable except the age requirement, which puts your character at the age of an elder of some elven family.Role Taken By:

- Dwarf Clan Leader: In Shield Dwarven society they are divided into clans, built along family ties and political allegiances. These clans are usually led by hereditary rulers, often monarchs of a sort and descended from the founder of the clan. Much like the previous role, you will be doing the same here. - Helborne Empress: Ruler of the biggest community of Helborne and ally of The God King. This is one of the few roles that require you to be an ally to the God King, at least for the beginning of the roleplay. This role is completely customizable, despite the title saying Empress.Role Taken By:

- Orc Chieftain: Whether this Orc is the biggest savage of them all or simply the smartest, they are the absolute ruler of a confederation tribes. This role can be female, but it is unlikely as Males are the dominant gender in orcish society and females are little more than a prized possession. Either way, I will still allow this role to be completely customizable.Role Taken By:

A4CHARACTER CREATION
Character creation for this RP is a bit complex, or maybe the better word(s) is intricate and overly detailed. There are character classes, specializations, different races, moral alignments, and other choices. To help you, I have created multiple info pages which links can be found in the Links section above or in the OOC Tab.
I have substituted moral alignments form personality descriptions, since to me that describes the character even better than you might be able to. Though if you want, you can still add in a personality description. Also I do sometimes prefer pictures, but a written description is more than welcome as well. And though I have said this before, I will say it again: be creative. There are too many options available, so characters should only be similar in race.
Also let's discuss character balance for a second. Think of a character as a six sided die. If we use a typical human as the average norm, their stats would fall into line as 3’s across the board -- with a 1 & 2 = Below Average, 4’s = Above Average (but nothing spectacular), and 5 & 6 = Well Above Average & Really Good.
So where does exceptional or perfect fit in?
Well this takes us well past typical human greatness and the exponentially harder to achieve 7 & 8 = Exceptional; 9 = Near Perfect; 10 = Perfect.
How do you get there?
Racial Strengths, (i.e.) an elf mage is likely to be superior to humans because of their longevity and heritage. Or if you are studying in one area to become exceptional, though you will probably falter in another after devoting time and resources to one and not the other.
Unless you are auditioning for the role such as a God, one should consider a more mediocre approach to character creation. The upper levels are just that, the exception to the rule.
Just a note: though I have made a character application, you do not have to use it. Although I require the same information to be present somewhere within your sheet. So you might be better off using it anyway. Also please try to restrain from listing personality traits as weaknesses. If you really must make it so, then at least list a good one.

- This RP is about as Adult as it can get while staying within RPG rules, so just remember that.
- Quality over quantity.
- Be creative. Don't be afraid to let your imagination run away. I have a leash I can tug on if you get too far away...
- I want only serious, dedicated, experienced RPers only. I feel I have those skills, so it is only right I ask for the people of this RP to have the same.
- Your character can and might die, so keep that in mind.
- Be familiar with text fighting. It isn't necessary for you know how to text fight, but it will be appreciated in fight scenes.
- Just because this is a fantasy RP, doesn't mean your character is a one man army.
- A tad bit of common sense is required here. Not to be a jerk, but I'm just saying...
- Once your character has died, they are forever gone from the RP. Unless, they are brought back to life; which the method will have to be discussed first.
- You can have more than one character, as long as you can proficiently RP them.
- Also please DO NOT POST anywhere EXCEPT the OOC, until I say otherwise.
- If you quit, please abandon your character. It helps make room so other's characters can be seen.
- READ EVERYTHING! Not just because I spent hours of my life writing it, but just because it explains a lot of the RP. And will save a lot of time and questions.

- After so much delay, the IC is finally up and this RP has officially been started!So there's not much to say except for go post! Link here: Even Gods Bleed-In Character
- I lied there is a bit of info you should be aware before posting. In each and every post you are to make a heading similar to mine. There should be four lines:
- Line 1: Location on world scale
- Line 2: Location on city scale
- Line 3: Time and Date
- Line 4: The Character
So just remember to do this for every post. Also try and remember to remove your signature before submitting the post. This kind of helps the story flow more seamlessly without having to scroll across a custom banner. There are also a few other rules listed in the IC section, so be sure to abide by those as well. - The directories are nearly updated, so be sure to check and make sure everything is right and correct. If not PM me and I will make the needed corrections.
- Also when posting, be sure never to get to far ahead of me, time wise. I don't mind more than a few hours, but never anywhere close to a day or so. However, the past is free to post in. As of now, your character can post anywhere before 12 PM that Saturday morning to around 12 AM Sunday night.

- So rather than wait till when the story is slowing down, I was wondering if anyone had any plot ideas? Like events that would like to see task e place or a side quest. This can be related to the main story or can stray completely. I would just like to know what they are. If you have one, post it here in the Announcement thread. I will go over it and then PM you, where we can further discuss and maybe introduce it to others.
- I would like to state this again, if anyone would like me to add a location to roster then let me know. We do this so everyone can have a better bearing on their surrounding when in a certain location. I don't care if this is a city or someone's bedroom, I am willing to help and add it.
Also, a while back 7achary offered to help with this as well. I am not sure if he is still up to it though, but this is another individual that can help you. He has already had a creation of his own added to the RP. Which is the small town of Rebbanburg and I assisted by adding the pictures and of course copying & pasting. (I know, I work too hard.) - This goes for everyone, if you need help getting involved more in the RP or are looking to interact with a character, don't hesitate to PM me. I will do my best as GM and as a member of this Rp to help you. This means tossing around ideas and messaging other members to see what we can come up with.
The best way to do this, in a RP that takes place across an entire country, with cities separated by miles of land and water? Is to party up. By doing so, this ensures your character will always have at least some basic dialog option and interaction. It is also just more fun, than wandering alone. - I also want to say to those people waiting on a reply from me, expect it by today or tomorrow.

I will have better internet access now! I am still on vacation in Hawaii but thankfully my computer is getting connection with this new verizon internet card.... :D
I am okay with restarting the RP at Chapter 2! That would actually be great because I would love my character to have a larger variety of interactions with others.
As far as traveling with pshyco's character, here is my plan on what I think would work best.... they travel separately to the location (it is still a tax collection plot/ potential battle, right?) where they can run into others or just go straight there.... it might actually work out if Alana decides to travel out to the location, and Emna following her from afar using her Guardian Angel ability. Which would mean Alana wouldn't know Emna was keeping an eye out on her. Emna can then reveal herself if there is about to be a battle or confrontation, where she can give help, etc. etc. lol sound alright? Willing for any other ideas!
I am okay with restarting the RP at Chapter 2! That would actually be great because I would love my character to have a larger variety of interactions with others.
As far as traveling with pshyco's character, here is my plan on what I think would work best.... they travel separately to the location (it is still a tax collection plot/ potential battle, right?) where they can run into others or just go straight there.... it might actually work out if Alana decides to travel out to the location, and Emna following her from afar using her Guardian Angel ability. Which would mean Alana wouldn't know Emna was keeping an eye out on her. Emna can then reveal herself if there is about to be a battle or confrontation, where she can give help, etc. etc. lol sound alright? Willing for any other ideas!

Hopefully the restart will allow you guys to reconnect with your characters, you can even make some changes to them.

-GREAT HUGE SIGH- Hey lovely, I would be one of them people holding things up sadly. And I hate not being able to push out a post, because I've held up things before in this rp. I too feel, 'out of touch' with my character again, and as much as I want to blame it on things like lack of nobles to interact with, I know that originally when we started I could have cared less about that sort of thing.
But it does look like we have a few people who have left us.

If there has not been a change in things by August 1st, I will officially be restarting the RP from the beginning of chapter 2. I will have the last few posts deleted, so that this can be entered in the official finished RP section.
I will then recreate this RP, new threads and all.

I don't normally take this long to post. Like I explained before, Shar isn't a very easy character for me to get into. I think I have something worked out, but if you feel it's necessary Fly, Shar can be adopted out and someone who has more time for her can take her. I don't really care at all.
I'm currently working on a post for her, but I also have to work out this thing with SpiritualOrb. So this will be a two party thing for us. Really... no one should be waiting on me and him because the characters are alone. If the tournament begins late Monday evening, I'm sure something can go on from now until then. I can make sure that with Shar's post, I will jump to the evening with it to start up the tournament.
But like I stated before, I really, really don't ever take this long to post for someone. And if people are irritated with me, than I am sincerely sorry! But there isn't anything I can do as far as what happens in my life and how busy it can make me.

Alright, I'm typing up my post and let me just say that having to cook for my dad and babysitting is getting rather annoying but it must be done. Hopefully without any distractions I'll have the post up tomorrow...

I'm really really sorry that I haven't posted yet! I found out last month that I have Lyme Disease and I started the treatment for it two weeks ago. The problem is while the antibiotic kills off the virus it releases it into your system making you feel worse than you already do, so I've been struggling with that. I'm starting to feel a bit better and I'm trying really hard to get writing my first post, but I also have to catch up on some reading as well. Also I need to try and get in touch with Echord and see if our characters are traveling together or not.

@Sibrand: I can understand that, but the longer you put something off, the more you want to abandon the thing period and it looks like thats where you are heading. So if it is, I would rather you tell me now and not two weeks later.
