Sirens
Sirens have always had a history of calling sea-men into the death traps of the rocky places around their islands, using their melodious tunes. On Tuskainen, the sirens have their reasons for singing. You sing in hopes of gaining your lost soulmates back, who have left in some foul way, death, abandonment, abduction, etc. However, controversy to the main idea that sirens are only mermaids, or in general only female, on Tuskainen, some are mermaids, mermen, half-bird creatures, half-lizard, and other half-species, or are humans who have been ill-fated to have fallen onto the beaches of the island, singing to ease their pain. See...the island is no ordinary island, besides being the home of sirens, once you step foot on the soft, white sands, you cannot die on the island, and if you try to get past the borders around the island, a few hundred feet around, the farther you go, the more pain you suffer, however no amount of physical pain could ever match the emotional distraught a siren feels, cursed to live for eternity without it's love, killing the sailors when they see it's not their love.Sirens, do not get me wrong, you still have physical and romantic relationships with other's on the island. Some fall in love....others use lovers...etc.
Today, you lure a ship in....but for some reason, none of you can bring yourselves to kill the pirates...Your story begins by hiding in the forest watching your chosen pirate.

Pirates
As crew members on a pirate ship you are drawn into the mysterious island by sirens, each taken by a separate siren, some jumping of the side of the boat to swim to them, some steering the ship into the cliffs. Upon crashing, the siren does not kill you. Instead, you black out and wake up upon the island. This is where your story starts, waking up on the beautiful beaches, the waves licking your toes.
