Introduction
Welcome to Everest Academy. It is an invitation-only academy that no one knows the location of, except for the staff and certain students. It is also mostly off the radar, and not often heard about. But invitations are sent out every year, to children of any age, as long as they are children. The children send the letter that comes attached, after signing it, in the envelope that comes with their letter, and are sent a date that transportation will come for them. And the transportation comes, right on time, without fail. And of course, during breaks, the children are encouraged to go back to their families, though it is noticed that a certain few stay year after year after year.
The children at this academy have been known to be strange. Often reclusive, and loving solitude, and most of the time, they have gifts. They donate all their energy and time into a certain thing, and occasionally, things, they love, be it singing, drawing, cooking, a sport, or something entirely else. What these children don't realize is that they enhance their gifts to the point where it becomes more powerful than any ordinary gifts, but that putting the wrong energies into them could entirely destroy their gifts, or turn them to the darker side, where they are corrupted. That is why these gifts are protected so strongly. These gifts have the power to shift balances, to change minds, when used correctly.
Everest Academy is a stronghold. It is made to protect the children and their gifts, until they are strong enough to deal with their enemies. But Everest Academy has to be protected itself, from the corrupted gifts that exist. Every so often, the children go on field trips that last for weeks, and they notice, when they're back, that the staff seem unusually tired, and the structure of things have changed.
But eventually, most forget about it, and in most cases, they aren't told about the powers of their gifts until they are at least in their second-year of attendance at the Academy. Even then, they are rarely told about the threat that exists to their school. The headmistress controls this, and she is quite the powerful woman, being able to keep Everest Academy controlled and in order. But now, it seems like Everest Academy's new generation is a bit more than she bargained for.
Pretty clear, huh? If not, please tell me. I would like it to be clear to everyone! But I think it's pretty straightforward...

Callen fixed her beanie [ http://www.polyvore.com/my_style/set?id=40500257 ]as she stepped out of the car with her few belongings. She turned to say goodbye to her mom but the car had sped off by that point... She sighs, grabbing her backpack and staring up at the school.
"Well... Let's just hope all goes well.." She sighs, making her way up to the front of the school. She sees a few kids playing around outside with their powers and she smiles quietly, walking into the Dean's office.
"Hello, Miss Halloway." The Dean says with a smile as he turns around in his chair, "I Saw your arrival, your books and schedule is on my desk." His long fingers point to the desk and she nods, grabbing her books and papers.
"Now, Miss Halloway," The Dean says, and she turns back to him.
"Yes?"
"Sit down for a moment."
She nods, sitting down, her books heavy in her hand as she places them on her lap.
"We believe in giving fresh starts here at Everest Academy, and no funny business."
He holds her record in her hand and she sighs, "Look, I know my family record is..." She thinks of the word, "Colorful.... But I promise you no funny business, I'm here to learn."
He nods, "Very well... Enjoy yourself. If you need anything, come talk to me."
Callen nods and smiles, "Have a good day, sir."
"You too, Miss Halloway."
Callen stands and walks out, looking at the map of the school, trying to figure out where the dorms are.
"God I feel like such a noob," She mutters as she struggles with all her belongings, peering over her books to make sure she wasn't going to run into anyone.

Ernest yawned tiredly as he held his bag over his shoulder arriving at the school. He looked up at the hive building mouth dropped and said with sparkles in his eyes " this school is awesome its way bigger than the orphanage!" He yelled joyfully as he ran inside heading towards the office to get his things taking in the school since it was around the coolest place he has been in his whole life. And ice he got to the office and got the papers telling him classes and stuff Ernest decided to go explore the school as he walked looking around not paying any real attention to anything he accidently bumped into callen falling onto his butt he rubbed his saying " sorry about that was really paying attention" he said as he stood back up and offered the girl he bumped into a hand

Callen was reading the map when all of a sudden someone bumped into her and her books toppled over and she fell as well, finding herself much closer to the ground than she would've liked. She looks up, fixing her beanie with a small smile and flicking the bangs out of her eyes.

Ernest... She smiles, "Well it's nice to meet you. I'm Callen." She says, putting the final Philosophy book in her bag and hauling it onto her shoulder. It was heavy, but she could handle it. She grabbed her suitcase as well and pulled up the handle.
She begins looking at the map again, "I think.. I have to go this way." She says, pointing down the hallway with her thumb, "Gotta find my dorm room... If you care to join me on the quest... Think you can handle it?" She laughs quietly.

Kage yawned and looked blankly as new students began to pour into the school 'another year...another boring time...' He thought and cocked his head to one side as he observed the students. Well, this year had some interesting students...that's for sure. 'maybe this year will not be so boring after all...' He smirked, his eyes never showed any emotion the entire time. He shook his head slightly at some students' enthusiasm and decided to stay silent and watch them.

I was grinning madly. It was the most wonderful and most amazing time of the year. No, it is not Christmas. It is... the start of a new school year at Everest Academy! And there were new students to perform mock combats of historic battles for! Yes, I am an obsessed history teacher. But battles are so fun! They are they most amazingly fun things ever! I realized that I most probably looked like I was slightly demonic, because my eyes would be glinting in that way that meant I was up to something.
I looked around, and sighed happily. This was perfect-both to watch the staff and to observe the students. No one, no one, could ever figure out who I really was. It was impossible. And if they did, I would simply use my gift on them, as unpleasant as it would be. But no one would figure it out.

I looked up at the doors to the Academy. It had been strange, having the mysterious limo pop up out of nowhere and for the driver to say that he was there to escort Alexis Cody Evans to Everest Academy. Mother had snapped out of her cruel daze and helped me pack, pleased. Probably because she thought that this meant I would be someone someday. I looked around at the Academy, which was beautiful. And a change. A good one.
I saw an adult, probably a teacher, and walked past her with a cheerful smile, sighing inwardly. I hated putting on the "mask" but I was too used to it.

Leonard F. Brooks was sitting with his arms crossed and a blank expression on his face in the back seat of his uncle's car. He was looking out the window, watching the trees as the car sped by.
"This is very exciting for you, Leonard!" Brooks's uncle said, keeping his eyes on the road.
"Don't call me Leonard." Brooks said with a hint of anger that was always in his voice.
"Oh, come on! This is great! I've always told you that you're power was great, and now you get to go to this prestigeous academy for it!"
"What do you mean 'great power'?!" Brooks said with more spite than usual. "My 'great power' makes me a freak..."
"Then... why did you want to go to this academy?" His uncle asked.
"Because... it doesn't matter." Brooks said.
The car halted to a stop infront of the beautiful school. "So, Leonard, you must promie me that you'll do your best in your studies, and come home for the holidays-" Brooks's uncle's words were interuptedby the right back door of his car slamming shut. Brooks slung a big duffle bag over his shoulder and walked away from the car without looking back.

Pointing at a red room, he said "...Scarlet room..." He looked at her seemingly heavy suitcase and asked "...would you like me to help you with that suitcase?...it looks heavy for a girl like you..."

I forgot to ask this earlier: out of the subjects listed earlier, do we just pick one sub-subject or all of them (e.g. Mathematics - do we take all the subjects or just Trigometry, for example?)

[OOC] Schedules
Well. The time schedule on a normal day. For the class with your gift, be it art, choir, martial arts, etc., you must go for at least two hours each day, separated or not. Otherwise, you have to see me.
5:00-9:00-Breakfast is served.
10:00- Start of classes.
Classes are each an hour long, except for the class with your gift. There is a large choice, and there aren't always very many students in each class. In the first week where school officially starts, everyone is supposed to report to the testing room, to take tests that will determine the classes they take. Students are allowed to take as many as they wish, up to a certain point.
You are required to, each year, take at least one class in the following areas: Mathematics, Science, Foreign Languages, English, History, and the classes with your gift. Then you can pick the rest. The way we're going to do this is have everyone pick the classes their character will have, and then I'll be able to fill in the rest by compiling classes to make it all neat.
11:00- Class 2
12:00-LUNCH BREAK
2:00- Class 3
3:00- Class 4
4:00-Class 5
Depending on the way classes work out, it is normal to have a class period where you don't have a class. Then, the period is like a free period. It is also normal, if you have a lot of supplementary classes, to operate on a switch schedule, where one day you have class A, and the second day, class B, and so on and so forth.
5:00-Class 6
6:00-Class 7
7:00-9:00-Supper, Dinner, whatever you'd like to call it, is served. The rest of the time is to be used as you wish.
11:00- On "school" nights, Light's Out.
On Saturdays, you have to go to the class of your gift between 2:00 and 4:00. Other than that, do whatever you want. Sundays and some holidays are also do whatever you want days.
Classes: There are placements for each one- Advanced, Basic, and Normal. However, it's all taught at once, but tested differently/ graded differently. This is the purpose of the tests.

5:00-9:00-Breakfast is served.
10:00- Start of classes.
Classes are each an hour long, except for the class with your gift. There is a large choice, and there aren't always very many students in each class. In the first week where school officially starts, everyone is supposed to report to the testing room, to take tests that will determine the classes they take. Students are allowed to take as many as they wish, up to a certain point.
You are required to, each year, take at least one class in the following areas: Mathematics, Science, Foreign Languages, English, History, and the classes with your gift. Then you can pick the rest. The way we're going to do this is have everyone pick the classes their character will have, and then I'll be able to fill in the rest by compiling classes to make it all neat.
11:00- Class 2
12:00-LUNCH BREAK
2:00- Class 3
3:00- Class 4
4:00-Class 5
Depending on the way classes work out, it is normal to have a class period where you don't have a class. Then, the period is like a free period. It is also normal, if you have a lot of supplementary classes, to operate on a switch schedule, where one day you have class A, and the second day, class B, and so on and so forth.
5:00-Class 6
6:00-Class 7
7:00-9:00-Supper, Dinner, whatever you'd like to call it, is served. The rest of the time is to be used as you wish.
11:00- On "school" nights, Light's Out.
On Saturdays, you have to go to the class of your gift between 2:00 and 4:00. Other than that, do whatever you want. Sundays and some holidays are also do whatever you want days.
Classes: There are placements for each one- Advanced, Basic, and Normal. However, it's all taught at once, but tested differently/ graded differently. This is the purpose of the tests.

1. Be polite. (Knock on the door if it's closed, raise your hand if you have a question, no speaking while I'm speaking, etc.)
2. I expect all assignmets to be completed on time. If you are sick on the day an assignment is given, tell me and I will give you an extention.
3. If you have three tardies for my class, you will study with me after all clases.
4. If we finish our lesson early, it will become a study hall.
5. Please ask me if you have any questions.

1. In most classroom case scenarios, it will be the teacher handling the problems. I am a busy person.
2. No drugs, limited violence and bloodshed (it depends upon your gifts), no alcohol, and no cigarettes. Though I think alcohol and cigarettes fall under the category of drugs- some people don't realize that.
3. Please don't leave Academy grounds unless instructed to.
4. No snooping.
5. There are restricted areas. They are restricted for a reason. Some students grow killer plants...
6. Also in classroom case scenarios- the teacher's word should be sufficient in most cases.
7. I despise bullies. You better not be one.
8. Be careful talking about your gifts. Some people aren't good.
9. If I tell you to do something... DO IT!!!
10. Free time is awarded. We do not work you to death. If you have no legitimate reason, don't skip classes!
11. I do not appreciate destruction of property not belonging to you.
12. Do not exercise your gifts unwisely. I will be most displeased.
13. I may add rules as I see fit. You will have to deal with them!

Whoa... brain overload. Jeez... Academy rules... well, our oh-so-delightful-quick-change-artist-headmistress is pretty lenient. But she can't stand... stuff... I'll post rules for her, and then we need rules for our individual teachers, so teachers...
