Introduction
The black void was empty, save for a golf ball sized chunk of light. It was a calm scene. An endless black canvas, with but a molecule of white paint accidentally lost is the middle. But it wasn't accidental. The light remained in place with a purpose for uncountable years, until one day there was a great voice in the void.
"Let there be light!"
The little ball exploded immediately. The very laws of physics were being formed. Reality was being created. It had begun. For 13.75 billion years, the explosion expanded, creating universes, galaxies, star systems, planets, moons, continents, life... God waited patiently for the right time. Eventually, a little gray man was taken to God's throne. God told the man's species of himself, his doings, their meaning in life. He dismissed the man, and watched the scene unfold. But a war started, threatening to wipe out the gray men.
God realized the imperfections and lack of order caused by anarchy. To govern itself, the world would need guidance. It would need angels. God created the first angels, telling them to protect and guide the gray men. Over time, the men evolved into extremely smart beings. They lived for millions of years. But one day, one of the 4 archangels created by God grew unhappy. He grew unhappy because he would guide a generation to perfection, and a new generation would take their place. He was bitter that he was forced to do such work, such pointless and thankless work, while God relaxed in his garden. He thought that since God had created him to shape the world, and created him in his own image as well, he was as good as God. He lead a rebellion of angels who thought as he did.
Other angels took this in different ways. Some angels believed in die hard destruction of the demons, and vowed to use light to destroy these newly formed beasts of darkness. Other angels believed they were not to exceed their mandate, to protect the world. And the last group of angels decided that they would protect God by any means necessary, even if it meant falling to darkness themselves. War broke out.
The demons created their own world, which they named hell. Here, flames endlessly roiled and evil dwelt. The lawful good angels went to heaven to protect it from attacks. The dark angels became wraiths, and created their own world as well. A world of shadow and death. The angels who remained in the real world did what they could to protect the gray men. To their dismay, the grays, who had felt like gods through their technology and angel friends decided to join the demons.
God created a new race. Asgariathans. They were also in his image, looking exactly human. The angels who were the protectors absorbed themselves into Asgariathans to give them the power to defend themselves from foes. An ability to use psychic powers and influence the world around them- magic.
The grays were destroyed. The war drew to a stalemate. The Asgariathans quickly forgot all about these wars. They began populating their home planet. A million years later, and the planet was in the classic times. War raged between Asgariathans. But a single insignificant country, pressed against the northern ocean by their ally country enjoyed an era of prosperity.
To understand Asgariath's later success and might, one must first understand the planet and its various governments and races. The planet was the size of Jupiter, but due to gravity reducing technology installed by the grays, people could live on the planet as though it was Earth. The planet was a massive Pangea. There were 5 oceans. The northern arctic ocean and the southern arctic ocean stretched around the globe just below and above the poles. The middle sea is at the center of the pangea. It is an inland ocean. The last two were actually massive rivers. The west one flowed north and the east river flowed south. The largest race were Asgariathans, but most were not part of "Asgariath". They were known to each other as "the people". This race was widespread throughout the middle of the planet. To the east and west were other races, such as orcs, elves, dwarfs, ect.
The kingdom of Acias was the largest country, sort of like Asgariath's Russia. It took up about 1/4 of the world's land mass. The Asgariathan Republic was the only country they were friends with. The republic was pressed up against the northern ocean, and surrounded inland by Acias. This kept Asgariath very safe from invasions, and free to grow as a nation. Their economy and culture thrived. Asgariath had a very powerful army that fought for and were funded by Acias. These mercenaries, as they were referred to, became extremely skilled warriors. They were too few in number to be the main army, but they trained future generations. That began the "mercenary temple". There was another temple, known as the assassinatum. They were hired by the ruler to kill corrupt officers. The main army was tiny at the time, but very well armed. Around the mark of a million years since the Asgariathan race's creation, a ruler named Dazag Mondini seized power for himself, declaring himself emperor.
This sparked a civil war. Dazag used the assassins to kill mercenaries who were loyal to the republic. The mercenaries were attempting to restore the republic. In the end, and after just 1 year, the mercenaries surrendered, without support of the people, nobles, or in some cases each other. Dazag began many reforms, giving himself absolute power. He also created countless military reforms, drafting billions into the army. He killed millions who resisted his rule. Nonetheless, he was a great ruler, with total trust of his people. Extremely successful and powerful, Dazag died just 2 years before he was to declare war on Acias and begin the greatest empire in history. His son was the one to begin his vision. As it had happened, this small delay was crucial to Asgariath's success, allowing for an alliance of rival nations to weaken Acias to the point of civil unrest, deserting, economical crisis, and the threat of being conquered.
This war began quickly, with Asgariath wiping out half of Acias within a few thousand years. But the troubles of logistics bogged the war down. By then, other nations had realized Asgariath's potential and strength, turning on the nation they thought was puny and too far out of the way to attack. But, against all odds, Asgariath succeeded over the time of a million years in conquering the entire planet.
This began a dark age in Asgariath's history. No one but Asgariath's highest circle of the emperor and his best friends know what happened in the next 300,000 years. Rumors are that Asgariath was temporarily defeated, and brought back to power by the new emperor, Altres. There are also rumors that Altres was the one who banned talk on this subject and ordered this chapter of New Asgariath (as it came to be known after it was brought to power once more) erased from history, as it showed how he came to power. But it was clear that this was another time of war. After 300,000 years of New Asgariath's existence, they were in a modern age. They began learning about space, launching ships. Some nations used ships as a means of escaping the inevitable doom brought by Asgariath's military might. Such were the Sentum, a country that had been Asgariath's rival for dozens of thousands of years. This war was rumored to have been started by an individual named Raine through an "experiment" of hers that destroyed a few Sentum cities with a necromatic virus. She has been appearing randomly through out Asgariath's history. She has been known as a practitioner of chaos magic, and the best at its use at that. Records state her birth as "40 years before the beginning of New Asgariath", which means she was alive way back when Altres was creating his empire.
The 5th age of Asgariath (400,000-500,000 After New Asgariath's creation, as each age is 100,000 years.) was the age when Asgariath became futuristic, focused on energy weaponry and expansion. It was during this age that the wraith's influence was finally pried off of Asgariath's home planet by an orbital bombardment.
During the 6th age, Asgariath was in war in space, fighting the races that escaped off of the planet. They also discovered three space anomalies. One was the "Dark hole," a hole in space. It wasn't a black hole though. Near it, it had a super pulsar, which was constantly emitting energy into the hole to stop it from expanding. It was also the thing that worked as a sun for Asgarian (the home planet). Another was a space transit. It was a giant red tube in space that transported a ton of star systems from one side to the other. It was millions of light years long. And the last was a giant portal know as the warp gate. Asgariath scientists figured out that this portal could make you travel to other universes (but not alternate realities.) They could not devise a way to make ships travel through it though. Standard photon and hyperdrive engines didn't work inside the portal, which you had to fly through to reach other universes, of which there are 100 in total.
During the 7th age, Asgariath finally learned to travel through the warp gate. This came with a price though, as the wraiths (who had actually been banished into the warp) took notice. They began a war with Asgariath which lasted the better part of 50,000 years. At the same time, Asgariath was at war with the Sentum, the orcs, and the probes- robotic sentinels left by the grays that were created to protect planets. The orcs were destroyed at last, but at a very high price. Demons attacked causing carnage on a widespread scale, but were defeated by the wraiths. No one really understood why the two similar races were fighting. Some people noticed though that some demons fought each other and served the wraiths.
In the 8th age, Asgariath encountered the Tamarus, Tau like aliens of greater technology than the empire. Still in a war with the Sentum, Asgariath was highly pressured for survival. Seeing just how superior the Tamarus's ships were to their own, Altres decided to promote science above all else. Unfortunately, the wraith once again reappeared, this time with technology surpassing by far even the Tamarus. After another 30 years, Asgariath fought in the greatest space battle of all time, known as Androlier's Doom. The battle included three galaxies, all of which were destroyed. Asgariath emerged victorious, but just barely. They had lost almost 25% of their fleet in that battle, and with a war that was dragging on with no end in sight, that was a huge loss. After finishing the shield penetrating shadowbeam, Asgariath caught up technologically. The Tamarus were severely weakened by the wraiths, who retreated into the warp for a short while.
In the 9th age, urban warfare became popular, as well as boarding. The Asgariathan armory had to be redone to include close combat guns. That is where the Asgariath standard SMG came from. The Tamarus were finally destroyed in a series of atacks and raids, and Asgariath faced the wraith again. At the battle of Androlier's revenge, the three wraith lords attempted to summon the wraith king. Asgariath's 20 deathknights (best warriors) interfered, banishing the wraith king again, but losing all but 6 of the deathknights. There was also a machine rebellion, which damaged Asgariath's economy. That is where Zerzis, a later to become deathknight was first seen. He was a great commander and fighter. After securing the victory over a planet he was stranded on in a post-apocalyptic state, he disappeared. Apparently he actually traveled back in time to Rise of New Asgariath. After that, Asgariath began extensive attacks against the Sentum, who had drawn back, and were watching the war with a coke and a very big bag of popcorn.
During the 10th age, Asgatiath destroyed the Sentum, and began sweeping up small planets they had missed. Sentum was incorporated into Asgariath. The sweep came up on a new galaxy with millions of planets. Earth was one of them. Asgariath periodically sent a few ships to every unconquered planet, and Earth managed to survive two such attacks, until a captain took notice and sent a small (around 10 ships) fleet to destroy it. In the year 2,522 AD, Earth was destroyed, but a quarter of the population managed to escape with a large Asgariath rebel group, led by a former deathknight.
They lived for a long time on the run, but later began attacking Asgariathan planets, achieving little. Eventually, the empire's tolerance of their actions began to bend. Admiral Teruchak explained Asgariath's view on the rebels in his quote "What rebels? That's no excuse! I don't want to hear about some stupid gangs on the planet blowing up your cities! I want my godamn coffee imports!"
They began creating their own little empire, becoming a thorn in the side, a tumor for Asgariath. Their efforts were pointless in the long run though. For every Asgariathan they killed, a trillion more were born.
The 11th age was a peaceful time for Asgariath, except for the rebellion, which no one really cared about enough to attack. However, Asgariath was gearing up their fleet. Shipyards were working overtime, Asgariath's fleet grew almost 4 times in size. The rebels attempted to find out what it was. They did, and it wasn't to their liking. According to a million year old prophecy, the wraith king himself would attempt to dominate the material world.
The tenth age was sort of a calm before the storm for Asgariath. They spent 100,000 years building fortifications while some rebels were gnawing on their toe.
During the 12th age, the former Sentum areas began rebelling, and wanting independence. Due to a mess up with an Asgariathan high security commander, Asgariath lost one of its most elite teams, Crisis 541 (Crisis 4). They also lost a deathknight due to an unfortunate genetic modification failure. Another robot rebellion went off when the rebels attempted to use the 8th age robots as a method of attacking Asgariath. The rebels lost control almost immediately. Finally, what was thought to be the apocalypse happened. The wraiths came, destroying most of Asgariath's fleet and burning millions of star systems. After the destruction of the wraith crystal, the energy source binding the wraith to this universe, the wraith disappeared. All except for four. The wraith king and lords were defeated and destroyed. The wraith king's conciseness resided in a crystal shard. From it, Altres found out the wraith's true purpose. The shard also told Altres that one of his best generals was the anti Christ and was planning an invasion. Asgariath had only 10 months between 2 of the greatest invasions ever. Altres killed the anti Christ, but was unable to deter the demonic invasion. The multi verse burned.
With Asgariath losing control, many planets became independent states. The rebel's numbers sky rocketed. Within 12 years, 80% of the once populated planets are scorched shells, if anything. Those that aren't are either wastelands of empty metropolises, massive battles, or guerrilla warfare. Asgariath has collapsed, its military and fleet utterly destroyed. Welcome to 202,534 AD.
----
The planet of Antaria was once like Earth. Now, it is a much darker world. The Sentum rebellion has attacked the planet, and the military, lead by General Accimor is fighting a losing battle. The location may change, depending on if characters decide to use spaceships to travel to other planets or not. The planet has been under siege for 3 months, its orbital defenses going down and no ships to back them up. So, Asgariathan forces have been routed into the capital city, where they are safe under a massive energy shield spanning for 700 miles. The rebels have deployed artillery pieces to take out the shields, but they are taking their time and will only take the shield down in another six months.

A little on Asgariath:
Government/military: Each planet is governed by a general. The general commands 10 C captains, C 100 lieutenants, 1 million sergeants, 2 million privates, 7 million expendables (conscripts). Special forces include: 100 F. captains, 1,000 F. Lieutenants, 2,000 commandos, 500,000 veterans, 500 elites, and 10 super soldiers. Armored core: 110,000 APCs, 500,000 Lidols, 100,000 star launchers, and 1,000 super cannons. The space fleet includes 4 defense frigates, 1 battle cruiser, 200 fighters, 20 bombers/LC ships. The general is basically in full control of the government, but his decisions must be approved by the 10 captains. If they find him guilty, they can overthrow him. He must follow the law.
Cities: The downtown parts are metropolises, with skyscrapers and flying cars. The downtown is where the rich people are. The suburbs are mostly concrete 3 story houses. Planets typically have shields, but some planets have smaller shields, only covering the downtowns. City planets have multiple levels, such as the upper, middle, lower, under, and slave cities. The lower you go, the more dangerous it is. The slave city is a secret where slaves are forced to work, told that they will earn freedom. They never do.
Social structure: Asgariath's social structure is largely based on who is tougher and richer. Although not official, the society is divided into 4 groups. The high class is richer and are generally better at athletics, the medium class who make up most of Asgariath's society, who will often become privates or get jobs as overseers, overseeing that most technology works correctly. The lower class, which works by fixing mechanics, or doing physical work. They would be the "rednecks" of today. Then there is the sewer class, who are the people that would come to a Walmart at 2 in the morning so that noone has to see them. They work in industrial complexes, in the under city.
Biological/race: In appearance, Asgariathans are mostly similar to humans, but physically, they are far superior, as a million years of war have toughened them. They are usually more muscular looking than humans, but also their muscles are denser by 1.6 times, allowing them to lift weights twice heavier than most humans. Otherwise, their lungs are a little larger, and the skeleton is a little tougher. On first glance, Asgariathans are not as creative as humans, which often gets them killed. However, their learning potential is far greater, so if an Asgariathan goes to a few battles, he will have learned far more things about a battle than a human. This allows for better special forces as once they get to that level, they only become better from there. This is also a minus though, as untrained troops die very quickly without enough sense to take cover. Also, Asgariathans have psychic abilities while humans don't.
Weapons: Asgariath uses primarily projectile or plasma weapons. Soldiers are usually armed with large caliber guns, and more specialized troops can employ laser snipers, las weaponry, plasma weaponry, ect.
G-52A1 Assault Rifle: The latest version of Asgariath's long line of .80 caliber assault rifles. It is accurate for up to 200 meters, and has a holographic scope. It also has recoil dampeners for 75% recoil reduction. They have under slung 60 mm grenade launchers and 20 round clips. 3.5 feet long. 4 shots per second.
G-52A2 SMG: The latest version of the SMG, this one actually modernized from the ancient line of .75 calibers for a more SMG friendly .60 cal. It has now become smaller, shrinking to a mere 2 feet in length. It fires 5 shots a second and has a 30 round clip. 45% recoil dampeners. ACOG scope.
P-94C1 SMG: A light version of the SMG tailored for unarmored enemies and humans, this SMG fires 10 .15 caliber rounds a second. 50 round clips. Iron sights. About 1 foot long.
PSH-13N7 Pistol: An old machine pistol. 9mm, shoots 10 rounds a second, 20 round clip.
G52A3 Pistol: Single shot .50 caliber pistol with 12 round clips. It was also a new version that came with the G52A upgrades. Semi auto
G52A4 Sniper: A light .80 caliber sniper rifle, silenced. 10 round clips, semi auto. Effective up to 2,000 yards.
G52A5 Plasma grenade (boom capsule): A thumb sized explosive and incendiary comparable to one stick of TNT. 5 second fuse
G52A6 Fragmentation grenade: 60 mm grenade.
G52A7 Blaster rifle: 2 shots a second, plasma bolts, effective up to 100 meters. No recoil.
BL-2 Plasma pistol: Elites only. Semi auto, effective up to 100 meters. No recoil.
SF99 Launcher: A lock or point and fire rocket launcher. 1 shot, looks like an AT-4.
G-BL84 1.00 caliber sniper rifle (boomer): Bolt action, 5 round clip. Effective up to 3,000 meters. Unsilenced, can't be fired from a standing position. Has been known to take out APCs and sometimes even Lidol tanks when their shields are down. They employ a magnetic propulsion system.
.80 caliber machine gun: 100 round mag, RPD like. 5 shots a second, 83% recoil dampeners. Red dot sight. Effective up to 250 meters.
Z-14 laser rifle: semi auto, 10 shot battery. Effective up to 5,000 meters.
Lasgun: 2 shots per second, plasma. Effective up to 50 meters. This is an old gun, and very weak. The upside is that it has no recoil.
Armor:
Standard battle suits:
The standard battle suit is a great piece of technology, though most misuse it. With it, you can achieve better results than any other readily available armor if you know how to use it very well. It has strength enhancements in the form of robotic muscles. Since the suit has a neural interface, it can give the user info on their body, their unit, the enemy, ammo, just about anything they need. It also allows the user to move freely in the suit, since it moves at exactly the same speed as the Asgariathan in it. That way, it carries its own weight, and is not clumsy at all.
It is made of 4 types of armor.
single atrium plate: stops .50 caliber pistols, but only indirect hits from other guns. (the inside of the arms, legs, the helmet, and the stomach)
1) gloss: deflects light beams and is heat resistant.
2) Atrium: A super hard, non conductive substance, heat resistant.
3) ceramics for bullet shattering and heat resistance.
4) admantium
5) Kevlar
double atrium plate: stops most rounds, and usually one or two .80 calibers as well. (the out sideof the arms, quads, and the shins, chest area except for the breastplates)
1) gloss: deflects light beams and is heat resistant.
2) Atrium: A super hard, non conductive substance, heat resistant.
3) ceramics for bullet shattering and heat resistance.
4) admantium
5) Atrium
6) ceramics
7) admantium
8) kevlar
triple atrium plate:Can stop a few .80 caliber rounds. (Breastplate and shoulder plates)
1)gloss
2)atrium
3)kevlar
4)atrium
5) ceramics
6) admantium
7) atrium
8)ceramics
9)admantium
10) kevlar
Flexiarmor: Pierced by a .50 caliber, but flexible and doesnt hinder movement. (inside of joints, the neck, and two crosses, one on the front and one on the back of the stomach part of the torso with the middle part of the two crosses going around in a full circle)
Diamond shaped atrium pieces in rubber.
-or for commandos-
100 pound Kevlar vest: capable of stopping .50 caliber. The plates are solid kevlar and have as much stopping power as the vest.
Vehicles and Ships:
B-85 Gunship: 2 miniguns, transport capacity of 12. 30 mm autocannon in the front and 10 missiles (2 AA and 8 AGM)
LC Ship- a massive gunship. Up to 200 bombs, 8 plasma auto turrets, shield. 60 missiles.
X1192 Main Battle Tank (Lidol Tank): A tank armed with a 200 mm cannon, capable of firing both explosive shells and plasma bolts. There are 2 defensive .80 cal. auto turrets and an energy shield. The tanks are capable of reaching up to 120 mph.
U-72R Armored Personnel Carrier (GAPC): An APC armed with a 30 mm auto cannon and an .80 caliber machine gun. It has a missile intercept system with a range of 3 meters. Wheeled. Max. 12 passengers
K-22N Armored Personnel Carrier (CAPC): An APC armed with an 80 mm cannon and an .80 caliber machine gun. It has a missile intercept system with a range of 3 meters. Tracked. Max. 12 passengers
GN-19 Artillery Station (Star Launcher): A static artillery platform capable of launching missiles from a cannon for hundreds of miles. They are called star launchers because when the missile is flying, it looks like a star.
Hetro Standard (Hetro ship): Asgariath's main space fighter, the Hetro has a cockpit and tail section as a hull. 3 meter wide wings connect the hull to the two engines. It has two plasma bolt cannons and 6 AA missiles.
X-11 Fighter (Sparrows): Asgariath's main atmosphere fighter, the sparrow has 8 AA missiles and a 30 mm autocannon.
Battle Frigate (Devastator): Asgariath's main battleship, the devastator battle frigate is 4,000 meters in length. It has 4 front firing plasma super cannons, a two barreled ion super cannon turret, and enough missiles to flatten an Australia sized chunk of land. It has an energy shield and hyperspace engines. Can carry up to 40 Hetros.
Battle Cruiser: Asgariath's main lander and carrier, the battle cruiser is 6,000 feet in length. It has 4 front firing plasma super cannons and a massive laser turret on top. It carries 40 fighters.
Defense Frigates (Frogs): The main planetary defense ship, these are the smallest "battle ships", at only 2,000 meters. They have 2 front firing plasma super cannons. It has no fighter carrying capacity, and no
drop pods for planetary assaults
