Introduction

A mystic being, pure and good was kidnapped from it's own kind by forces of pure evil and was taken to the land of Eiyan, where the humans dwell. It is up to a band of misfit rogues to return the angel to her own kind and prevent her power from being used as a force of darkness, ending the world as they know it.

Then...
General Bowen is an ex-general who fought in the war that raged on Eiyan, a war in which the angels and demons brought about. Since neither can step foot on the enemy land they fought on Eiyan which caused the humans to become a part of it. The war left devestation wherever it went and the land is now in upheaval, the extreme exposure of the angels and demons in Eiyan influenced humans to follow their more dominant nature becoming exceedingly good or evil. The humans now fell into two different races, the damned (demon followers) and the blessed (angel followers).
Due to the split in the land, all order fell apart leaving only enemies and war in its wake. A band of the Damned kidnapped an Angel to appease their Demon deity, but they were not strong enough to contain it and it escaped in Eiyan.

Now...
General Bowen sat up abruptly in his bed and grabbed his sword which was safley sheathed. He soundlessly made his way to the courtyard alert and restless, preparing himself for another attack. He crouched behind the pillar planning his next approach, he heard a movement to his left and in a second he turned to face the most heavenly creature he had ever seen. He lowered the sword he now held to her throat, not even remembering raising it in the first place, and gazed at her perfect face. A shadow of pain glimered across her face, General Bowen looked down and a red stain seeped through her white dress. The Creature sagged and General Bowen scooped her into his arms.
He knew her kind, from years ago and the fact that she was here worried him more than he cared to admit. If he was right he would have to get his rogues ready for a war none of them were ready for...

Basically your characters need to be the rogues at the camp or a new recruit coming to the camp, then it is up to this group to protect the angel and return her to her kind. Your character has to have some skill for example General Bowen is a sword fighter, you could be skilled at magic, a healer, an archer, good with the claw, whip, crossbow so on and so forth... but you are only allowed one skill!!!
you are all rogues for a reason and you should explain that reason and also state your age, i want a wide range of ages the general is in early fifties.
Thanks guys this should be fun!! Just remember not to be to crude or rude or whatever.

# General Bowen's Rouge Camp, 2010-03-14 12:28:17, as written by EmieJG
General Bowen paced outside the door his hand firmly placed on the hilt of his sword-- out of habit rather than danger. He stood alone in the corridor and waited upon little Krysta. Krysta had been in with the creature throughout the night and the general knew that if anyone could heal the angel, it would be her. It was imperetive that the angel was healed. The general needed to know what was happening, he needed to help, to stop what was coming. The door handle turned and the general pivoted on his heels, coming face to face with Krysta.

"She is weak." Krysta stated, looking pale and sallow herself, "but she'll be okay. She didn't say anything either." She lay her hand firmly on his torso. "You need to let her rest, general. Give her time to get better." The general smiled at the slight girl before him and placed his hand upon hers.
"Yes, and you need to take your own advise my dear." He furrowed his brow and continued, "You shouldn't tire yourself out."
"I will" she nodded, "but after you talk to the others." The general grimaced thinking of the news he was yet to give to his trusted rogues.
"Very well, they are in the mess hall, restless of course."
The two mercenaries climbed down the stairs that lead from their small infirmary and through the stone courtyard where the creature had been discovered the night before. They went through two large oak doors which were engraved and embelished with images of creatures that represtented strength, wisdom and courage, and into a large training hall. There were three more doors leading out of this room, the door to the left which lead towards the sleeping quaters, the door to the right which housed the barraks, and the door ahead --which they took-- that lead them to the mess hall and kitchen.

As soon as they entered the room fell silent and everyone gazed upon the general hoping for answers. General Bowen looked around the room seeing the mercanaries that had banded with him to fight to help maintain order. They were a strange group even to his eyes-- and he had seen many things. Waywards, loners and even beasts stood before him, but there were none he trusted more.

"You all know why you were summoned here" He began, looking into the grave faces of his warriors. "An angel arrived here yesterday at camp, hurt. Krysta has managed to heal her and she is resting now in the infirmary. As you know no being like this has been in Eiyan since the great war, not demon or angel alike, and it worries me. For a start this will break the treaty between them if word ever gets out, and our world will be plummeted into mayhem once more." He paused to see how his commrades took this.
"Now, we have a lot to do. Later when she is up to it i will question her, and once she is better we will assist her in returning to her kind. Untill that point, no one is to leave the camp, today we train. I will need you to also take shifts in guarding the perimeter as well, two at a time, it is likely that her captors are out looking for her as we speak, and if they attempt anything, they are to be held here so we can bleed them for information. Her captors have to have been some of the damned, they are the only ones who could have reached her where she was. So be on your guard, my friends. We will meet back here at dusk to discuss further action, I will be in the study this morning if you needme and i will join you for training shortly." With that he swiftly made his way back past the infirmary to their small study and library, leaving Krysta and his mercenaries speechless in the mess hall...

Gerard Cain stabbed the small bit of meat left on his plate and consumed it rather quickly. He ate fast, and was pretty much done eating when Bowen walked in with Krysta, and caught his attention fully for now. At least he was listening, Cain had already opened up his tome and began paging through it, looking for spells that would help in their current situation. An angel was here? That was bad news for the lot of them, as soon as either side caught wind of it, everything would fall apart horribly. Both sides would instruct their agents to extract the angel and take whatever means necessary. He would actually have to exert himself if things went that bad. He looked at the spells that dealt in poisons, acids, and lent themselves to utterly destroying a body rather then just sending its spiritual form to its end. Despite the fact it would limit his ability to supplement their forces, it would be far more effective in the long run. When Bowen confirmed his suspicions, he didn't even blink, focusing on his reading further. All it would take is a spark to throw the world into conflict again, it just came sooner then he had hoped it would. Once the General had left, he was the first onto his feet, tome thumping shut at his side.

"Get moving, were not going to get training and guard duty done sitting here shocked. What's happened has happened, now get to work. I'm heading for the camp edges if anyone needs me." With that, he was already out the door and heading for the perimeter. It would give him time to read further and let the training hall open for those that could actually use it without fear of collateral damage. Or exerting themselves too much. He saved his energy until he really needed to let loose on something, and when he had to let loose, he was more then ready to. He reached the edge in no time and leaned against something, he didn't notice what but it wasn't sentient so it didn't bother him. He divided his time between scanning the area, both with his regular and arcane senses, and reading up on his more unpleasant magics. He was getting ready for whatever the powers that be would throw at him.

# General Bowen's Rouge Camp, 2010-03-14 20:12:46, as written by Tsoibe
Sarith was in the hall during the time the others eat. It was unusual for him. On nearly every other day, he was on guard duty during this time. It's not that he didn't values company or the other rogues, he just tended to feel more relaxed outside, having lunch in the forest. It helped him increasing his bond with the creatures of nature. Now he was in that hall waiting for General Bowen to appear. As the General appeared with Krysta, Sarith turned towards them. He knew it has to do something with the events of yesterday. He didn't exactly what had happened, but it had to be something big. He listened closely as the general told about what happened, it was indeed a great shock for Sarith. That was something that should never have happened. The consequences would be that the war starts again, as soon as one of the two forces find out. General Bowen spoke what Sarith feared, they were now responsible that no such thing ever happens. The captors would likely attack the base, as they find out where the angel has landed.

Sarith waited for his comrade to speak up. Gerard was one of the fellow rogues Sarith saw in a very good light. Though he rather favored magic from other sources, he admired the self-control of the mage. Just after Gerard had left the hall, Sarith followed. As he passed Krysta he said to her: "If you need any assistance while carring for the angel, just tell me and I will be there. You should not be afraid to take a break from time to time. You find me at the training grounds." He than left the hall throught the doors. Behind the castle were those training grounds. Fitted for nearly all sorts of arms, from archery targets over a small arena to a small area to train the riding on horses. Sarith carried his bow with him on the place and moved in a line with the farest target. He knew that his scouting abilities would not be needed while Gerard is on duty. He couldn't match his senses with that of magic anyways. Sarith pulled his bow from his shoulders and put a few arrows into the soft ground. He took one of them into his hand, layed it to the bow and aimed at the target carefully. He listened to the direction and force of the wind and adjusted his aim acordingly. A second later, the arrow pierced the air and pinned directly in the middle of that target. Two other arrows followed and hit very close to the first one.

Angel was just sitting in the hall when Bowen came with the news. Everyone in the hall went quiet even those that disrespected everyone. He seemed to catch the light in the room to make himself the spot of attention. It was something that we all had feared. An angel on these grounds was dangeruous. If word was to get out of the place it would be certain death for them all. Both sides starting the war right outside the perimeter of the camp. It would be a disaster to all. She saw as Gerard walked out. He was one of the best. She sometimes wished that she could learn magic like his. The next was Sarith, the best archer she knew. She didn't know what to do anymore so she got up.

She just patted Kryta and whent to were Bowen was. She knocked at his door and went in. "Sorry about that, but what are you going to do about this" she said to him. "The smallest mistake can mean death for all of us Bowen." she sounded serious. And for her it was rare to be int hat kind of mood.

General Avery Bowen sighed as there was a knock on the door, and Angel came in. When she asked him what he was going to do about the situation, he saw the concern on her face; he didn't like seeing his comrades so shaken up, but they had every reason to be.
"Angel, the best thing you can do right now is train, but as you're here." He walked to the book shelf and pulled out a map of Eiyan and spread it on the table, "Do you remember how the war started? Well it was before your time. There are two portals at opposite ends of Eiyan one leading to the Angelic realm and the other leading to the demonic realm. We will need to escort her back to her realm and take her through the portal undetected, then we will be safe. It is our only hope, Angel." He indicated to the map as he talked.

"Years ago angels and demons walked among us, it was the way things were. They kept away from each other for the most part, they just influenced humans and didn't stay in this realm fo too long. But one pair broke the rules an angel and a demon had a child, this was utterly forbidden. Both sides feared the child would grow too strong and they set about destroying it, and war ensued. No-one knows what happened to the child but the angels and demons were driven back to their own realms and they made a treaty never to set foot back on Eiyan so that there was no risk that another child could be born. If the demons get wind of the fact that she is here, Angel, we will need to be the strongest we have ever been, so please go to the training halls or the grounds. I will be along shortly." He lloked at her concerned face once more.
"My dear i know you are worried, but it is all we can do for now. If we don't help her we will die anyway, it is our duty."

Krysta watched as a few of the mercanaries left the mess hall, she had promised the general that she would rest, and she would, but not just yet. She had a few things to do first. She would go back and check on the Angel shortly, but she needed to train aswell, she wasn't a fighter but she didn't want to be the weak link, she didn't want to get any one of the rogues killed. She turned to face Torin Nath, who hadn't left yet.
"Torin, i was wondering if i could ask a favour" she tried, "I was wondering if you would teach me to fight." She looked up at him, he was taller than her and older than her, but she thought he was brilliant. She blushed as she thought of him in this way, at her foolishness. She would never tell Torin how she felt about him, or anyone else for that matter, she was a silly little girl in his eyes no doubt. Maybe i should have asked Mala-Gor, or Sarith...too late now

# General Bowen's Rouge Camp, 2010-03-15 23:26:02, as written by Jersh
Xander slowly crept towards the collection of buildings he found huddled in the forest. It had only been a few weeks since he had left the temple where the Grey Ones had trained him for the greater part of his life. He had never imagined the world would be this large, and he could tell already he was lost. The maps that he had studied during the long nights were not detailed enough for him to recognize any landmarks. He had felled a deer earlier that week for food, but since then he had found only berries to sustain himself. The smell of roasted meat drifted across the wind and through the trees to tantalize his nose. He felt his mouth grow moist and had to physically keep himself from drooling.

A gust of wind stirred his dark green traveling cloak and Xander shuddered a bit. He was not quite used to prolonged exposure to the elements yet... but he felt he would adapt in time. Brushing away the feeling of numbness in his joints, Xander studied the area more closely. He saw many humanoid shadow's wandering the grounds, and even a few that did not look all that human to him. Xander's eyes narrowed a bit as he recalled the bandit camp he had run into the first day he had set out from the monastery. At least, that is what he assumed they were, seeing as how they told him to hand over his possessions before they tried to kill him. Since then he had been wary of the glow of any campfire off in the distance.

Xander could not help but feel drawn to this place however. He had hardly talked to anyone in what felt like ages and to be honest, even Xander was not immune to loneliness. Looking through the brush for the best route to approach the camp, Xander's agile feet sped along the ground, not a single leaf or twig crunching under his feet.

Bowen was right, there was nothing they could do but to make sure that the Angel reached safety no matter what. It was their duty anyways. But no matter how many thought of happiness crossed her mind, she still had a serious face. She knew that the war had started way before she was born. But now there was one thing on her mind. Who was the child, and where was he now. Bowen never mentioned the death of the kid. "I guess you're right Bowen, I will go to the training hall and practice." she said as she got up looking down at the map. If she recalled they were somewhere in the middle. It was going to be hard to conceal an angel all the way to an end.

"Well sorry for disturbing you Bowen, I will be on my way now" she said as she turned he door handle and walked outside. She stood stood in front of his door for a while, thinking of what were the possibilities of them going on the mission and returning back safely.

ooc: guys just make sure not to change details too much in game. For example Angel the child hasn't got a specified gender. Also the General Bowen's camp is a proper building not just tents- but of course you may not mean general bowens camp in your post, jersh, just thought i'd give you a heads up. Sorry for being a nag!

OOC: Jersh, hope you don't mind too much how Gerard finds you, but he does have an edge in the magical sense catagory. Assuming you mean the Rogues of course.

Gerard paged through the book, reading up on how the flows of magic affected the physical being of a living form, specifically the more dangerous arts of turning flesh to ash. Disintigration, put bluntly, it was a tool he read over often enough, but never wanted to use. It was energy intensive and prone to backfiring. And that wasn't pretty to watch, let alone try to slow down or stop. So he stuck to his more familiar magics, usually acids, poisons, and limited controlling of the dead. It was rather cliched of him to use such spells, but they were popular for a reason. They were highly effective. But enough reading, and he raised his head, eyes taking on a subtle green glow as he scanned the brush with his arcane senses, filtering out the subtle tinges the plantlife left.

A fast moving, stealthy to mundane eyes, male was moving through the brush. Intruder, possible scout, possibly not hostile. Running from hostile scouts, but he took no chances. He opened his book, the page turning unbidden to the spell he was looking for, and raised his hand, palm tracing slightly infront of the moving male. As he muttered, the green light became more flame like, and a soft aura like energy built up around Gerard. He drew energy from around him more often then from within, saving his reserves for dire emergencies. As he finished the incantations, he jabbed the palm towards the male. A black mist roiled forward, and the plant life died as the mist burned the innate arcane energy that everything contained. The mist did not harm the man however, cutting his front path off but not harming him as it burned away his cover, the smell of death stronger then it had a right to be. Gerard himself called over to the male as he strode forward, wisps of green energy flitting away from him and his eyes reverting to their normally reddish color. "You, I don't recognize you. What brings you this far into the woods?"

OOC: No problem, Xander is not meant to be an assassin (AKA stealth is not exactly his Forte) He just has a good sense of control over his body, thus he knows how to move without making much noise, etc. etc. Though he has trained to fight against spell casters, passive magic like detection is beyond his ability to influence :P

Xander reflexively threw himself backwards as energy roiled across his prospective path. He tucked himself in a tight roll and came up in his typical combat stance, his arms before him in a defensive stance with his body shifted slightly sideways to allow his feet to get a firm footing on the sponge-like grass. He heard a voice call out to him then. Seeing as how he actually understood the words, Xander knew then that the caster was not planning to assail him with further spells. Loosening his guard slightly, Xander straightened his cloak and moved forward into the area that had been cleared away by the man's magic.

"Forgive my abrupt arrival" Xander said, he may as well try the peaceful route. So far the stranger had been lenient with his warning attack, the least Xander could do was try to be courteous. "I was trying to find out how to get out of the forest when i happened upon your camp. I have had recent..... encounters... that left me wary of any such establishments. I was merely being cautious in my approach". As Xander finished the thought, he glanced around at the destroyed foliage by the no doubt powerful spell.

"I am certain you can understand my caution" Xander commented as the nodded at the area.

"Gah, anyone here?" he yelled into the air.. he walked into it, slowly inspecting the area "Forgive my... Lack of time-keeping" he ripped off his Amulet, grasping it in his hands as he talked.

Sarith practised his skills on the archery range, while waiting for General Bowen. He was patient, a required attribute for an archer. It wouldn't matter much to him, if he would be here for the whole day. At least he got some time in silence for his practise, not beeing disturbed by one of the others. In the distance he could see Mala-gor, the beastman, comming late to the meeting. Sarith decided that it was important to tell him what had happened. He hurried to Mala-gor's side.
"Good Morning, Gor. You're late again, I see. Didn't you hear what Bowen asked us for?"

The male wasn't acting hostile, but was ready to defend himself. Smart enough, and was polite. All went well in Gerards favor of the male, but he reserved judgement until later. He had stopped a good distance from the male, and listened as the explanation was made. Bandits were about, so the caution wasn't anything to be faulted. The glances at the damage he had wrought made him smirk quietly, hidden as he ran a hand through his hair. Another lost one came to the camp, Bowen would probably want to speak with him, if for no other reason then to interrogate him. So he held the book at his side in a non threatening manner. "Well, I can understand your caution, but don't mind the foliage. That's just warm ups for me. I assume you'll want to talk with the leadership to arrange a place to stay?"

It was a logical step, and if the male agreed, he would wave a passing rouge over to take over while he walked the male over to the General's study. He would knock and, after a pause to let the General admit him, would introduce the male. But he paused, and looked the male over again before asking his question. "Before we go anywhere, going to need to know whom I am adressing. Forgive me if I don't give my name, but your a stranger. As you mentioned, the woods do have bandits and the like. If you happen to be a scout, then the less you know the better."

"Fair enough" Xander said and gave a short and courteous bow, his cloak shifting enough to show he was unarmed save the gauntlet covering a fair part of his left arm. "I am Xander Shalan Motten, a first tier student of the Grey Order" Xander recited the introduction as he was taught by the elder Grey Ones. He was told that most in the outside world at least knew of the infamous order, after all most monks did not fight for money.

"I fear I have nothing to prove my words though" Xander admitted to the caster. "My kind does not really carry anything to distinguish ourselves from others. Our fighting style is quite unique however..... should you wish to truly test me" Xander said in a confident tone, though to confidence did not extend from any thoughts of victory. He believed that the spellweaver would accept his words should he put on a little display.

Though Xander's words were strong, the audible growling from his stomach belittled his declaration. Xander suddenly felt weak, even that small stunt of dodging the magical assault earlier had taxed him more than he cared to admit. He truly felt like a pitiful child again, should the man choose to attack now he had little hope of victory in his current condition. Even for all those years of training, Xander was still only human.... and humans needed food.

"Though... i could use a bit of soup if you have some... I can pay, though not much was provided to me for my journey i fear" Xander explained.

Putting his amulet, into his fur coat. he cast an inquiring look upon Sarith.
"What's the grumpy old General want now?" he said in a bored tone.
He absently mildly inspected his claws, getting rid of any dirt under there.
his amulets, and trinkets flying in the wind, as-well, as his dirty brown cloak.

Angel walked to the training hall. She took her time walking there thinking every step of the way. When she arrived there she saw Gor and Sarith. It looked like Sarith had already been practicing. Most of his arrows were in the target. "Hey there guys, looks like you guys already started praciting." she said as she headed toward hay dummies. She grabbed her whip and started going at it. The hooks on the whip attached to the dummies and inserted themselves to their body when Angel pulled the whip. One strong pull and the dummies where nothing but hay on the ground.

"Looks like my whip is still in good shape and sharp as ever" she said smiling back to te guys. "So what do you think is going to happen with whats happening?" she asked. She could see that everyone was still worried about the angel being at the camp, though Gor seemed to be lost at what had happened.

Sarith smiled at Gor. He was note one of the disciplined guys in the game, but you can rely on him when the going gets rough. Sarith liked that person, thought he did not often share the same opinion. As Angel walked over to them, Sarith waved his hand to her.
"Well an angel has fallen in our midst. You know that this can turn out very bad for us and the rest of this world. When either one of the two sides find out that she is here we are going to get into a lot of trouble. That is why Bowen asked us to train and guard the camp, till she is able to move. He wants to transport her over to the gate of their realm, without anyone seeing us."
Sarith watched the display of skill from his fellow rouges. He knew what they are able to do. If it would go against the usual enemies, he is shure that they didn't even need to practise beforehand, but this time they are to fight demons and other beeings of the underworld.

# General Bowen's Rouge Camp, 2010-03-20 13:38:47, as written by Gasmask
"An angel eh, i believe in Valkyries more." he fiddled with his fur, scratching absently at his horns, his tail flickering slightly, and moving uncomfortably, leaving hoof marks upon the dirt.
he mutters a slight prayer to Loki, and Odin. he procures a flash of water, pouring it into his mouth, with a click he closed his mouth, his jagged teeth shining in the sun-light.
"So if we have an .. 'angel' we have to fight hell it-self?" "Hah, i look forward to that.".

# General Bowen's Rouge Camp, 2010-03-26 13:52:46, as written by EmieJG
Krysta returned to the Angel after a short amount of training just a little longer then i will rest she thought to herself. well maybe i should take Sarith up on his offer she made her way outside to where he continued to train.
"Sarith" she made her way towards him, i was womdering if you would help me afterall." she spoke softly, "i'll be in the infermary" she left him there and hurried back to the Angel's sick bed.

When she pushed the door open Bowen was kneeling by her side trying to hear the Angel's whispers.
"She's awake!" Krysta exclaimed, "What is she saying." She rushed to the basin and wrung out a cloth, then began clearing the sweat off the creatures forehead.
"They... are...here-" the angel gasped, then returned to her slumber.
"Krysta stay here, i need to rally the others, if shes righ,t her kidnappers are on their way."

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

I am going to have to abandon my character as well. I was hoping for a far more active Roleplay, sorry.

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

okay thats fine, would you abandon your character then please? so someone else can take over?

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

Sorry guys, I'm dropping out. I've got more on my hands than I expected, and don't have time for this. Sorry!

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

lol alright, i made a post. No one else was a stranger, so i will be the first i guess :P

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

You're accepted lol dw

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

So... i am not sure if my character approval request went through or not lol... I did it all, hit submit, then it said it failed.... so i tried again and it said a character with the name i typed in already existed! lawl

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

No that's fine don't mind at all, it's your game too. Just as long as everyone doesn't try to make their characters perfect and invulnerable, but i know u won't! it's good that you are good at your skill though. I'm loving everyone's characters too.

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

I'm to some extent intrested in this RP. Perhaps it could mark the first fantasy RP that will commerate me coming back to RPG. About how high is the technolgy? I want to be a sniper, preferbly with a rifle, arquebus, flintlock rifle, etc. Just curious.

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

I hope you don't mind that i added a quick describtion of the training grounds. Oh and don't worry I won't powergame with my character to much, I promise. It's not as easy as hitting a immovable training target, when your enemy moves and tries to attack you.

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

Hey guys, i started the posting now. I figured if anyone else wanted to join they could be the newcomers to the camp or something, or add in as the story develops. I couldn't wait any more, i wanted to get this thing up and running :)

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

Fine, let me play the archer. Even thought i would have someone with a bad alignment choice. Just joking, appling for the Arcane Archer position, I'll finish my sheet soon enought.

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

There's a fair number of characters. We're still missing an archer, though. Every fantasy group has an archer! :)

(These SQL errors are killing me.)

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

great character btw :)

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

I don't really have any special requirements, i think it's good to let people have a free range i think the game becomes more interesting that way. I'm kinda new at this though so i hope it turns out quite well, thanx for wanting to join >_< should be a good game

Re: [OOC] Fallen Angel

I'd Like to join just one question do you have a character sheet or do I just use the one proved by the auto-generated OOC? ^-^
