Introduction

Fangoria is planned to be a long running and open ended RP. I have created a huge detailed setting for everyone to play in and some players are even allowed to have villain arcs. This lets the creativity flow and keeps the RP fresh and fun for everyone instead of it being just me in control. It also lets me play non villain characters with you guys. That said I do have main plots so the RP will remain structured and will keep flowing smoothly. This is needed because I cant leave the fate of the RP completely in the hands of people I have never before met or played with. With this style we get the best of both worlds, all the benefits of a structured RP and all the benefits of an open ended one. I hope I have grabbed your attention and interest and hope to see the character applications flood in, please join me in the fun to be had in Fangoria and its neighbors!

The RP Consists of the nation of Fangoria, Machium, The Cutlass conclaves and Garnium. Below I have a map and information on the history and backgrounds of the four. Information for individual places found inside of each of the big four will be able to be found in the places tab.

History

The largest nation Fangorias past is riddled with conflict and darkness. A century ago Fangoria was locked in a fierce war with Machium over resources that each nation had and the other wanted. Machium access to the rich and plentiful ores and metals and Fangoria access to an abundance of food and fertile ground. Both leaders at the time were stubborn and headstrong and neither would give the other an inch in diplomacy. The war was brutal and devastating for both sides. The people of machium had technology that Fangoria could never hope to match, machines of metal and hand held devices that fired metallic projectiles. Yet Machium had not a mage to their name the people were wholly incapable of learning or having any sort of magical power. Fangoria had numbers and magic to aid them, wizards of destruction and capable healers. For years the two battled man to man and machine to magic and for awhile it seemed that the war would end only with the destruction of one or both of them.

Until one fateful and dark day now known as The Bellowing. The skies darkened and a third army had joined the conflict, led by a powerful wizard only known as Octavian the army came without warning or reason and attacked both sides relentlessly. An undead army that only grew larger with each passing battle, each soldier of Machium and fangoria that fell only added to the massive ranks of the horde and slowly the forces of both nations had whittled down to fragment of what they initially had. No sword, nor magic, nor machine could stand up against the supernaturally powered undead army.

In a last ditch effort scouts had located where Octavian himself had made a home. And while the undead made the final and largest attack simultaneously against both nations both Machium and Fangoria had come to an agreement and launched a joint counter attack on Octavian himself. Held up in a cave atop a mountain troops engaged the undead at the foot while Machium flying machines swarmed the top. The two nations had sent the very best they had to combat Octavion atop the mountain but the wizard was powerful and took down most the flying machines himself. A single machine had made a safe but fiery landing and the surviving six heroes, three Machium and three Fangorian had engaged Ocatvion personally, and as they attacked a massive black dragon had erupted from the cave, ignoring everything else it shot straight toward Fangotha, the capital of Fangoria.

The battle between Octavion and the remaining six lasted three days, during that time the dragon had made it to Fangotha and was effectively demolishing it, seemingly immortal the capitals defenses crumbled under the dragons might.

Four of the six had fallen in battle against the powerful mage but miraculously the remaining two was able to defeat him and with his death the undead army immediately crumbled to ash. The black dragon had suddenly and violently turned to stone and to this day remains in Fangotha in the middle of the city square. The two nations celebrated and forged a peace treaty and trade agreement. Fangoria would provide Machium with a variety of food and in return Machium would trade them valuable ores, minerals and metals. Octavion was buried in the cave that he had made his home in and that place came to be known as Octavions Tomb. The best craftsmen from Machium and Fangoria came together to create a statue of the six heroes that defeated Octavion, they came to be known as the great six and they split the statue in half, Fangoria keeps the half of the three Machium heroes, and machium keeps the half of the Fangorian heroes, as a reminder of their friendship and what they had accomplished together.

One Hundred years since that day the two nations still uphold the alliance that was made but since then two other smaller nations have made a home nearby. Attached to the same continent as Fangoria in the deep deep wilds a tribe of barbaric people had formed they call their nation Garunim and have refused any and all attempts of diplomacy with Fangoria, though they have not acted hostile ether. For security reasons Fangoria constructed a camp and a stone wall outside of Garnuims border and keep ever vigilant to the newcomers.

Miles upon Miles across the sea a set of islands sits where the fourth nation formed. They call themselves the Cutlass Conclave but are more or less a large group of organized Pirates, and as such they do not attempt to wage war but attack and pillage and enslave ships that travel the seas. They mostly attack ships coming from faraway lands or wanderers not wanting to anger a large nation such as Fangoria or Machium. But both nations remain uneasy about the Conclaves presence.

Fangoria

The large nation led under the rule of a new benevolent king and queen shares a bountiful trade agreement with the neighboring machium. Fangorias land is large and has plenty of trees and fertile ground making the nation a large bustling nations where no one suffers from hunger. Though it suffers from fierce storms and the occasional bandit brigade or dangerous predator, such things come with its great size. The people of Fangoria like most are born imbued with magical essence know as mana. Anyone born with the essence is capable of learning magic though magic users only make up about twenty percent of the population due to the difficulty of learning any kind of magic, let alone controlling it. Some learn it on their own, others go to school for years, many who try never learn anything larger then causing a light to flash or a lock to open.

Machium
Machiums land is a harsh and brutal desert where food is scarce but metals can be found underground or in the mountains. Despite this fact the nation still thrives due to its ingenuity. The people of machium are darker skinned due to the environment in which they live but most interesting is not a single person born in machium has had so much as a drop of mana pumped through their veins. A nation without magic or mages caused them to evolve technology that make up for it. Machines of all sorts are common place in Machium (Think Steam punk) Machiums government is ruled not by a king but by a court of government body's who vote on various issues together.

Garunim A once large tribe who's existence almost vanished. Torn apart from the inside as the people revolting against each other in a civil war. As the civilization crumbled one Chieften had rallied enough people to his side and together they left their war monger brethren behind and staked out a new land. They established a wooden tribal city in the wilds near Fangoria and though they are content with their land..the chieftain longs for more. The Garunim people are a brutal and warlike race, they stand taller and bulkier then other humans and value combat prowess and honor above all else. They cast aside the sickly and those who are not strong. While capable of using magic outside of a select few most value weaponry and melee combat, feeling that it is a more honorable way to fight.

The Cutlass Conclaves

A band of Eastern Pirates united under the banner of a single Pirate queen forcibly took control of a set of three islands miles away from Fangoria. They resemble a nation but function like a highly organized crime syndicate. Buildings and amenitys are built and ran by slaves while the pirates do what they best, pillage, plunder and party. The Conclave people resemble that of Asian ethnicity and the government is not surprisingly lawless and violent. Though nowhere near the technological level of Machium the Pirates have learned the trade of gunpowder and have access to small arms pistols, rifles and cannons. Magic doesn't exist where the conclave hails.

But you must never attempt to steer the entire RP away from the main plot and toward another.

ARC ONE: REDEMPTION.

"Can you tell me what you saw?" A Fangorian Lieutenant spoke while scribbling something on a blank piece of parchment. A small balding man stood opposite of him, his eyes were red and bloodshot and he was shaking profusely. His movements were rigid and impulsive and his eyes darted from place to place as he spoke. "Ye..yes, I was ju..just hiking to the top of Octavians tomb...I've done it every three months for th..the last twenty years." He spoke stuttering almost every word.

The lieutenants expression remained calm and stern as he scribbled down the frightened mans every word, pausing every few moments to gently dip his feather in a vat of ink. "As I neared the to..top I could see smoke bellowing in th..the distance, I had never known anyone else to scale the mountain in all my y..years of doing it myself, I decided to leave my usual route and ha..have a look." The man began wringing his hands nervously and his position lowered a bit in to a hunch.

"When..I arrived..there was a small campfire..outside of the cave..but the cave was open and I knew that after.."The man swallowed hard, he was having difficulty saying the next part of the sentence. "I knew that after..Octavion was killed that the cave had been detonated and blocked by debris" The guard flipped over a fresh piece of parchment and continued scribbling.

"It was foolish..but I had to have a look inside...and that's when I saw it..his grave." The man was now on the cusp of tears and sure enough water began flowing down his face and he began to hiccup as he attempted to finish his story. "His grave was dug up!" the man blurted out "And he wasn't in it!" he was now sobbing uncontrollably, the lieutenant put a reassuring hand on the mans shoulder. "I well send a group to investigate but don't worry to much, it was probably just a grave robber, we have had quite a few of them around here as of late." He said with confidence.

The man stopped bellowing long enough to look up at the lieutenants face, his face contorted and his eyes bulged suddenly he lunged at the guard latching on to his shoulders and shook him fiercely. "NOOO you don't understand!, I seen him myself!, those eyes..those red eyes! Oh God Octavion has returned and he is going to kill us all!" The man screamed uncontrollably in to the lieutenants face, A quick push sent the him reeling and two other guards grabbed him and restrained the crazed man who was now screaming and flailing profusely. "Take him away" The lieutenant snapped, He is just a lunatic!" He added.

# Fangotha, 2010-10-25 13:47:48, as written by SerenityGrace
The sun was shining brightly on the practice grounds, there were various dummies set up in a row at one end of the yard. At the other side there was a young woman dressed in green shirt, covered in exotic feathers and gold, that was short enough to show her stomach and a matching skirt. She had a golden crown upon her head and a golden key hung around her neck. An old man in simple blue robes stood forty paces to her right next to a odd machine, and there was a few more servants behind her holding fruit, water and towels clothed in similar blue cloth.

"Go!" She shouted. The old man pulled a rope attached to the machine and three small disks shot out of it into the air. The young woman the quickly shot each one out of the air with three small darts of fire. She smiled as each fell to the ground still smoldering.

"Good," the old man stated " You are progressing nicely each shot is getting faster and more precise. Again." He pulled the rope three more times and each time she shot them down as easily as one pulls petals off a flower. "Enough this is getting boring." said Soarina as she motioned for the servants behind her to come forward with the food and water. She took a deep drink of water and some bites of the fruit.

"You know practice makes perfect m'liege." the old man said. "Well I am done practicing this lets move on." she stated as she dabbed the bits of juice from her face with a towel. "But princess,..". "I said I'm done with it Mordecai, moving on" she snapped as she threw the towel back at the servants.

Mordecai bowed his head in compliance, "As you wish, see what you can do to those dummies." "Thats more like it." Soarina smiled devilishly. Then she launched a large ball of flames at one of the dummies and when it connected it exploded into flames. "Again.." he said. "My pleasure," she smiled sending two more projectiles at two more targets.

Chaos. There were projectiles flying everywhere, the screams of men and women charging into battle and countless explosions. The Flaming Dragon was attacking a merchant ship right outside of Fort Brigdale's waters. Nixie grabbed a rope and took a running start. As she swung in an arc off of the mast of the merchant ship she killed one or two more men with throwing knives in their throats. She landed and rolled up to the feet of her captain, a large man named Drake and offered him one of the bags of gold that she had grabbed. He accepted it and she bowed low, then she turned to watch as the merchant ship was rocked with one last explosion that sent it to the depths of the ocean. As the ship sunk, those on the Flaming Dragon let up a roaring cheer. Captain Drake stepped up to the helm and stopped the cheer. "Well done lads and lassies ya're all gon' eat well tonight!" more applause erupted and Drake waited for it to slow before he spoke again, "One 'o' us d'serves more praise than t' others, Nixie! She brought back more 'n' those bags 'o' gold than any of ya' and she did it while kickin' thar arses off'n thar own ship!" Cheers erupted and several men slapped Nixie in the back. Then, without listening to the rest of the announcement, Nixie turned and walked to her cabin smiling the whole way. When she closed her door she reached into her corset and pulled a small painting of her parents out. She stared at it for a long time before she burst out in tears saying, "This is all for you guys!"

Kcolth was enjoying the shade from under a tree in the practicing grounds. It was a sunny day and he had just finished his training with several other members of the Royal Guard. His black and gold armor reflected the light that was shinning threw the leafs of the trees and his spear resting at his feet. He was leaning against the tree and was watching princess Soarina training in the background. He watched as she blasted both disk and dummy alike. He was happy to see that her aim had greatly improved. The burns on his back had long since turned into a scar from when her control of the fire was lacking. It still surprised him that such a young and beautiful woman like herself was capable of blasting to pieces whatever she seemed fit. Next to her his healing and protection magic was child's play. He noted that after destroying the tenth practice dummy Soarina seemed to start getting tired. He left his spot from under the tree and walked over to the servants. He asked for the water and then with a bow dismissed them. He knew they needed a break. He walked over to Soarina and held out the water to her smiling. "I do believe that is more then enough for one day Lady Soarina . If you continue there won't be any practice dummies left in the entire country," he said. "Come you need to rest," he said firmly. If he didn't hold his ground with her she would just wave him aside, and he wasn't ready to go and tell the King that his only daughter died from overexertion.

"Yawn." Lieutenant Camil stated emphatically.

"Yawn is right," Vasa Koss replied. The young woman was lying on her stomach in the training yard, watching the troops drill. A scraggly musket line was practicing fire-and-advance movements. "This is the worst assignment I've ever taken. Camil, I think the Bear's Maw has reached a new low."

"You think?" the Lieutenant asked, resting his elbow on the table while he lazily flipped the pages of the register. "Then you probably won't want to know where our finances stand. I had to turn down two recruits yesterday, because they weren't skilled enough to be cost-effective. Better than some of the ones we have now, too."

"Well, time to do what I do every day to kill time..." Vasa groaned as she lifted her body off the ground, and went to slip on her armor. Then she belted on her sword and shield and strode out onto the field.

"Okay, reward is the usual," she declared, "the rest of the day off. Have at it."

At that announcement, a burly musketman detatched himself from his line and moved to meet her. The last few yards he closed at a run, bayonet lowered and a scream issuing from his lungs.

Vasa waited for him to reach her, and took a quick step back at the last moment, batting the blade to the side with her own. Then she hopped forward and dealt him a sharp rap on the chin with her shield; half the force came from his own charge, rather than Vasa herself. The soldier recovered quickly, slashing his gun at her. Vasa tried to shadow the move with her sword again, but he suddenly turned it into the windup for a hit from the stock, impacting her in the sword arm and causing her to drop it.

Vasa fought the impulse to back off and moved into an even closer range so she could reach across and grab the gun with her other hand. She pushed upward, locking the soldier in an uncomfortable position with his right elbow in the air and the bayonet pointing back. Vasa then pulled the opposite direction, adding to the force the soldier was already using, and sent him sprwaling with the overcompensation. She fell on top and pinned him down.

"No one else? Alright, get back to work."

# Garkum, 2010-10-25 18:07:39, as written by Qetzo
The roar of the crowd could be heard for miles around in Garkum. The arena was holding battles for entertainment of the people and the next one was about to begin. The wooden palisades opened at opposite side of the arena and the two young warriors stepped through slowly weapons already drawn. They moved to the center of the arena and stood a few feet from each other battle stances ready. The sand that made up the ground of the arena was soaked read with blood of everything from criminals to young men looking for glory in the arena.

The announcer stood addressing the crowd who fell silent to hear his words. “This is a battle to first blood between, Ajalk Kreiger and Gorlak Dawn.” The announcer paused to raise his hand high. “Begin!” he yelled at he brought his hand down and took his seat. The crowd rose to their feet as the sword of the two warriors clashed. Another pair of eyes were watching the two battle for the eastern entrance into the arena. Raos was there and he was to be the main event. The winner of this battle would face him. Given to his was a broadsword much smaller than his own and blunted as well for the safety of the combatants.

Back at the battle the flurry of exchanges was winding down and soon one emerged victorious catching a cut across the shoulders. “Gorlak Dawn is the winner! His fourth win in a row today.” Grolack began to show boat from the crowd as Ajalk stood shaking the injury slightly. The two combatants shook hands before Ajalk took his leave. “Today we have a very special treat. In recognition to Gorlak's combat prowess. He has the chance to face Stark Vegter for his title!” The crowed roared louder than before at this news and Gorlack promptly stopped his showboating.

The eastern palisades opened and through them stepped Raos. He made his way slowly to the center on the arena basking in the cheers of the crowd. Gorlak already staring him down from afar. Again the two warriors met in the middle exchanging greetings. “It is an honor to fight you Stark Vegter.” said Gorlak. “May our blades strike true so that both of us can find glory.” with their words said and the announcer raising his hand they dropped into their battle stances. “Begin!”

Soarina turned glared at Kcolth, she knew he was right, she was starting to exhaust herself but she would never give him that satisfaction. She grabbed the water from him and took a long drink and smiled at him condescendingly. "Kcolth why did you tell the servants to leave, I'm famished and you just sent away my food. Now I will have to get some my self." Glancing behind her she noted one dummy left, with a sigh she put out her hand and sent a final fire ball at it making it match the rest of the chard heaps on the ground.

"Mordecai," she shouted at the old teacher who was still standing by the machine "make sure there are more targets set up for tomorrow." "Yes m'lady.."
he sighed in relief, some of her practices ended with her setting fire to an unconventional target and he was just glad to retire for the day with all of his hair intact. As he tittered off Soarina turned her attention back to Kcolth who was still wearing his whole suit of armor. She grimaced as she remembered the scar on his back the she had accentually inflected and how it must hurt more with all the armor piled on top of it. She knew if not prompted to he would never take it off, something about being proud or whatnot.

"Kcolth why are you still covered in armor, you know that the sheen annoys me." she scoffed. "Now go change and meet me in the kitchen where you can find me some of the food that you have deprived me of." With that she turned and walked into the castle and to the kitchen. She smiled to herself, she wasn't always a spoiled brat like everyone thought, sometimes she helped people with out them even know it. The kitchen was full if people working to prepare dinner for the them later.

"Yes lady Soarina," Kcolth said with a bow. He let out a sigh as soon as she was out of earshot. "What to do, what to do?" he asked himself shaking his head. He walked over to Mordecai and patted the old man on the shoulder. "Get some rest my friend you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow," Kcolth said jokingly. The old wizard just smiled as he walked to his room. He was probably thinking about where he was going to get so many more practice dummies by tomorrow. If she blasted as many as she did today everyday, the country really would run out of them in no time.

Kcolth then headed off to his own room. He felt a little uneasy with removing his armor, but it was a one of Soarina's commands. "One of her commands," he thought to himself smiling. He had been her bodyguard for years and yet somehow he never grew tired of her commands. She might act spoiled at times but deep down he knew there was much more to her. But at the same time, the last thing he wanted to do was upset her. So he put on a simple loose fitting white shirt and black pants and made his way to the kitchen.

He noticed the servants preparing dinner at a quickened pace. He only guessed that Soarina had told them to be fast about it. He then opened the doors that lead to the dining hall and found her sitting. He walked over and bowed slightly. "Is there anything I can be of service with Lady Soarina?"

In one of many magic university's located in Fangotha a bunch of books in the library had been hastily moved in to a cluttered pile, soon enough another large book came flying through the air landing with a thud on top of the mess. "Nothing" breathed Ajak as his hands moved along one of the shelves, he did this for hours every now and again he would grab one and skim its pages before tossing it along with the others. He had nearly searched through the entire stock of books before being kicked out due to the mess he had made. "I was going to clean it up I swear!" He belted as an elderly lady chased him out with a brook stick firmly in hand! "Out! and never come back you unruly hooligan!" she yelled.

"Hooligan? who are you calling a hooligan you old wre--" Ajak started but a large book met his face before he was able to finish his sentence. Nursing his sore nose Ajak hobbled away in reluctant defeat, a swift painful twinge shot through his cursed arm causing him to flinch and grab it tightly. "A whole library..and nothing..." He mumbled. before making his way in front of the Fangotha palace.

Ajak had heard of the beautiful palace and the benevolent king and queen that reside there, but he really doubted that there generosity was all it was cracked up to be. He was sure there would be countless trinkets that they wouldn't miss should some sly cunning young man come and swipe them. He twirled his staff in his left arm absentmindedly as he eyed the massive structure. It was broad daylight sneaking in was a no go, besides sneaking in to a palace was different then sneaking in a tomb. Generally the dead don't have a thousand armed brutes eager to poke your eyes out. Getting caught would probably make him look like an assassin instead of a thief and Ajak shuddered to think that he would be treated accordingly.

"Nope no...a silver tongue will have to do" Ajak said to himself cheerfully, he approached one of the gate guards as confidently as possible, doing his research before hand he knew exactly what to say. "Hail good sir beautiful day is it not? I wonder if I could bother you enough to let me through as the king is expecting me, I am a potential suitor for his dear sweet daughter and it would be a crime to keep him waiting." Ajak spoke as suave and sincere as a poet. The guard nearly dropped his spear hearing the words suitor and immediately let Ajak through. "Good luck friend..your going to need it" the guard called after him and Ajak nearly paused to ask why before thinking better of it.

Aurelius had been discharged from his nation's army several months previous with his pension; he was allowed to keep his armor and his weapons and granted a pack of equipment deemed "useful" and has simply been wandering the wide world in an attempt to find a place to settle down, maybe raise a family, and crack a few more skulls. Not necessarily in that order.

After so many years of the brutal pace set by the Myrmyliod Army it was a pleasant change for Aurelius.

Simply the fact that he could decide whether he wanted to go five miles one day or none at all was pleasure in itself. His newfound freedom was intoxicating and Aurelius planned to spend it to its fullest.

He no longer had to force thirty miles a day over blazing sands under a scorching sun just to maintain the borders of the kingdom. It was tiring work, as the bandits from his lands were exponentially more vicious than the ones he'd encountered in this new land, probably an effect of the environment in general, as it was only the most vicious would survive such a climate as the one found in Aurelius' home. That still left the various, squabbling city-states that surrounded the Myrmyliod Kingdom. Their armies had clashed so many times the reason for their fighting had been lost in time immemorial. The current reason was resources, Atheneka and Spartenius being the main competition this time. The ingenuity of Atheneka knew no bounds, creating hulking war machines that hurled rocks vast distances, exploding on impact, the resulting flaming shrapnel could decimate a regiment. Aurelius would know, he'd seen it happen. Spartenius dealt in men, taking babes from the cradle and creating war machines in their Trial of the Bloodforge. Deadly efficient and armed in the finest gear, they nearly matched Myrmiliod in war. However, they didn't; a clear-cut fact Aurelius simply knew.

But it was neither men nor machines that allowed Myrmiliod to dominate.

It was their ability to unite. The Myrmiliod stood together in the face of adversity. It was by this simple concept that gave their legions such cohesion on the field, having been compared to the simplistic drive of a blacksmith at a forge.
Atheneka's Council of Five Hundred could barely decide when to plant the harvest let alone raise the banners of war.
Spartenius' Six Kings would never agree, they have never done so in the past and will never do so in the future.

However that was all behind Aurelius now, as he tramped down a forest path in this area called "Garunim" by a local unsavory, he realized that this was the first time he'd seen so much green in one place. The forest was both claustrophobic and comforting at the same time, if that were possible. He felt like a child returned home to his parents, his father and mother recognizing their child anywhere but the same could not be said for him. It was different. He looked forward to testing local mettle.

The sun shone through the large two story stain-glass windows along one side of the room and made the opposite side, with guiled stairs, a small balcony and doors, glow with radiant light. A large chandelier hung over the beautifully carved mahogany table. Three thrones sat at the head of the wide table, the middle one was the largest and most elaborate and then the one on the right was second and then the one on the left, while it was the smallest it was by no means ordinary. This, the smallest throne, was Soarina's. She sat down in her throne at the long dinning halls table, it would be many more hours before supper and she was hungry now.

She ran her hands along the arm of her throne then along her fathers, the middle one. One day it would be hers and she would run the kingdom hopefully as well as he did. She was excited for this day but dreaded it as her father would have to die for her ever to have the throne and even though he never had time for her she still loved him with all her heart.

Kcolth walked in, now changed, and asked how he could be of service, she smiled. "Well I am seating here alone and without food so what do you think." She didn't mean to be so rude but she thought that silly questions called for abrupt answers. "Please bring me something to eat. I am famished and I will not eat alone so you must eat with me or call for Silvi."

Gorlack had taken a more conservative fighting style against Raos. Electing instead to fight defensively a sound plan. He also knew better than to ever try to block a swing and instead he would evade or parry then strike in between strokes. It soon proved to difficult for Gorlack to divert the sheer strength behind Raos' swings and soon his arm buckled and his bones became rattle. With one final stroke Raos both disarmed and wounded Gorlack, the warrior dropping to his knees from exhaustion. "The winner is Stark Vegter!" The crowed cheered as Raos waved to the stands and soon the began to chant his name. "Stark, Stark, Stark!" as he lifted his fellow warrior to his feet and with him walked back through the wooden palisades. "Next is J..." The announcers voice faded as the two went further away for the central arena. Gorlack stayed behind to bandage and nurse his wound while Raos left the arena his own weapon in hand.

"I apologize Lady Soarina. I shall returned with some food immediately," he replied to the princess with a bow. "Of course. I knew that was coming," he laughed to himself as he entered the kitchen. Seven servants were hard at work preparing a meal. He greeted each of them by name. It wasn't much, but for as much as these guys go thought the least he could do was learn there names and show them respect. "Kira," he ask looking at a younger girl in her teens with red hair, who was hard at work cleaning dishes. "Would you mind going and seeing if Silvi is free at the moment. Soarina wishes her presence," Kcoloth said with a smile. Kira just smiled back, happy to have an excuse to get away from the dishes and ran to get Silvi.

Kcoloth then grabbed a plate full of fruit, several of which he didn't know the name. He also grabbed three plates, some glasses, water, and bread. "This will hold her over until dinner," he thought. He left the servant to their work and walked back to Soarina balancing everything on the plates as he went. He handed her the plate of fruit and put the bead on the table. He then pored her and himself a glass of water and took a seat on the side of the long table close to where Soarina herself sat. "Silvi will be with us soon," he said as Soarina took the food. "I see you have greatly improved with your spells.
With a little more practice you will no longer need a teacher," he said to her as she ate. "Hopefully that won't be the day Fangoria catches on fire," he thought to himself smiling.

Frail strands of light bleed dimly through the windows of Rethyn’s shop. Viewing them from behind the long wooden counter that split the room in have, Rethyn sat upon his favorite stool. With the most of his morning tasks complete he could now linger and lounge around until a customer came. Tea leaves seemed to be the most popular while most of the old fashion herbs were only bought up by the elderly. It depressed him a little to see that almost no one seemed to have interest in the other products he had in abundance. Maybe today some old man or woman who refused to see a doctor would pop in and buy some kind of herb.

For the first hour or so of business the room remained quiet, but as the rays of light died down three customers pushed opens the heavy wooden door gently. Giving Rethyn no surprise, he noticed the three of them were commoners. No nobles or people of high class ever came for they always had someone to pick up their goods for them. With other quick glance away from his feet, Rethyn also wasn't surprised the three ladies were in the section of the tea leaves.

Finished with selection, they placed down a few beat up coins upon his counter and moved to the door. As they shut the heavy wooden door Rethyn slid open a hidden compartment of the counter and dropped the coins inside. The sound of coins landing on coins let out the sound of Rethyn's savings. Times were getting hard around his store and the savings would hopefully save him. Or in the least slow the downfall.

Resting his head in his hands he awaited his next costumers with rings under his eyes.

Ajak slowly made his way through various parts of castle, avoiding people at some points and cleverly talking his way through others, the castle was large and Ajak hadn't a map to his name and become lost in more then one instance. Eventually he found himself on the second floor of what appeared to be a dining hall, it was quite large with a thoroughly polished oak floor and expertly crafted red drapes hanging from the ceiling, all bearing the markings of the Fangorion insignia.

Ajak leaned over one of the railings to have a look below, the hall was empty save for a few servants running in and out of the room, except one table was occupied by a woman and male, Ajak instantly recognized the royal seal on the lady's garments. "Shes royalty.." Ajak said under his breath, suddenly distracted from his quest for valuable trinkets, he slinked slowly and quietly closer to the table until he was right above the two.

It wasn't uncommon for Ajak to get side tracked from his objectives, being in the same room with the Fangorian princess would be enough to distract anyone, if only for a moment. However no matter how many times it had gone wrong in the past Ajak still couldn't help himself, he had to have a closer look. He gently leaned over the wooden railing, She definitely looked like a princess, you couldn't find a speck of dirt on her if you tried, the guy with her was to young to be king, must be a servant boy Ajak thought to himself.

Ajaks curiosity got the better of him and he leaned over just a bit to far. His feet left the ground and his grip slipped as he fell swiftly over the railing landing face down on the table full of food sending most it flying wildly and splattering the Princess and her accomplice with mashed potatoes.

He hesitated to lift his head up, it might be better if they thought he was dead, after all he surely would be after this and if he somehow got out of it, he would kill himself over his carelessness. Ajak laying face down in food lifted his head up and looked at the two, he took his finger and dipped it in some of the mashed potatoes and then stuck it in his mouth. "My compliments...to the chef...he..heh..." Ajak said awkwardly with a forced half smile that slowly dissolved in to an awkward frown.

It took him a few moments but before long Kcolth had come back with some food and set it down in front of her. As she began to eat he talked of how she was improving. Soarina was just about to answer him when a man fell from the balcony above right onto the table and into her food. The average looking mans fall had caused some of the food to splash into Soarina's face. She jumped up in response and rage swelled up in her. It took all of her will to not set fire to the man, instead she channeled it into her voice.

"Who in the kings name are you and what in earth are you doing in my lunch. Do speak quickly because my patience is already spread thin and I don't need any more reasons to set you on fire now." she yelled. Then she wiped the mash off her face and threw it to the ground, and in its place she conjured up a ball of fire and held it hovering in her hand for more of a show of her rage.

# Fort Brigdale, 2010-10-26 18:24:02, as written by Midnightclub
The Flaming Dragon made its way towards the fort and its guards nearly sent off an alarm of attack. However, before they could, they noticed that the ship had hoisted a flag of white and blue: an obvious sign of armistice. On the Dragon, the pirates were receiving their pay and getting ready for a day of loud partying, merry-making, and shopping. Nixie received a percent of her takings and also payment for the last few weeks on the seas. In total, she got twenty gold pieces and sixty-five silvers. Not a bad cut all things considered. She saluted the captain and exited the ship via a ramp that head been open to the port. In the fort there were several blacksmiths and one very large Tavern house. There were also some small shop stall erected for any returning soldiers or guards. Outside there was a large area where a group of what looked like soldiers or mercenaries were practicing. First, Nixie went and bought some more knives to throw. She also found an interesting belt that could hold the knives in separate pouches for easy reach. With the belt strapped nicely across her torso, full of knives, she felt a little more powerful. She bought some ammunition for her pistol and loaded it and then holstered it. Feeling well armed, Nixie started to walk down the street towards the Tavern when suddenly, a group of men (fellow pirates) stumbled out and accosted her. One man stumbled up to her and blocked her path.

"Who...do you think you are, Nickshie? I mean, why do ya have ta be so shpeshal? And then you jusht walk away like you're shome hero for getting bagsh of gold while I was there with the real men kicking thoshe mershantsh buttsh?"

"Seth," Nixie said slowly, "You're drunk, you need to sit down and relax."

But Seth and his fellows didn't want to relax, they wanted to fight and before Nixie could send out a cry of alarm, one of the men jumped and grabbed her mouth and waist turning her body towards the other pirates.

"Yaw-" Lieutenant Camil began, before being elbowed in the stomach by Vasa.

"Camil, I'm about as annoyed with this as you are, so please don't make it any harder than you absolutely have to."

"I'm sorry Ma'am, it's just... Hey, that's not Fangorian, is it?" Camil pointed to a number of masts that could be seen over the rooftops of the town.

"No, it isn't..." Vasa began reaching for her sword.

A few minutes later, Camil asked, "Well shall I rally the troops, Ma'am?" He had to raise his voice to make himself heard to his captain, already some distance away in the time it had taken him to notice that she'd begun running.

"Do what you want!" came the reply. "I want to see what's happening before anything important occurs!"

She finally slowed down once she'd neared the docks themselves. It looked like a group from the Conclave, if Vasa knew anything about it. She watched them warily. Her group had been hired (cheaply, unfortunately) to help defend the fort against any attack. So if these pirates were going to do any attacking, she would want to know about it.

Eventually, she heard slurred, slightly enraged speech from around the next corner. Interested, Vasa peered around to see what was happening. A number of the pirates had a woman, evidently one of their own, pinned. The woman was cute; there was at least one thing that they likely wanted out of her...

Vasa came out into the open. "Hello there," she greeted in a friendly manner. "I hope you're all enjoying yourselves here in Brigdale. I'm not exactly a native myself, but I can't let visitors be unwelcome, can I?" Vasa tried to catch Nixie's eye as she spoke.

Nixie heard a voice and looked to her side, another woman close to her age was talking to the pirates as if she'd just come as a welcoming party. Then, Nixie caught her eye and realized that the woman was there to help. The other pirates noticed the woman as well and some laughed. "What, you want ta join us too?" one asked. The woman just stood there with a polite grin that infuriated the pirates. Three of them decided to teach her a lesson and took out their swords while Seth and Nixie's captor stayed behind. As the pirates engaged the woman Seth leaned in towards Nixie to try something. But, when he got within reach, Nixie slammed the back of her head into the man holding her and kicked off of him sending Seth to the ground while simultaneously getting the man holding her to let go. She took out three of her knives and flung them at Seth pinning him to the ground. Then she took out her pistol and held it against the other man's head. The man grinned and reached for his gun, she saw him and pistol whipped him across the top of his head. As he crumpled to the ground, Nixie looked to see what had become of her savior.

Throughout the day, Rethyn's shop had both high traffic and low traffic of buying customers, but now seeing how most were out doing some kind of work causing the store to be dead silent. Whatever the case was, he didn't care in the slightest. It gave him plenty time to drop the necessary mixtures of herbs into his favorite wooden bowl. His father had been kind enough to leave these bowls behind so many years ago. They were so useful to his line of work.

Seeing how everything he needed was ready, Rethyn picked up a small cylinder shaped piece of wood and started to mash the herbs up while stirring them. In mere moments, he had successfully mashed up the herbs to the point there was a smelly liquid amongst the leftover bits of plant. Using the small wooden cylinder, Rethyn held back the bits of plant and poured the liquid into a separate wooden bowl. With his project now complete, Rethyn stood up and gently placed the used wooden mixture bowl next to several of the other needed to be cleaned bowls.

Rethyn seemed to go still for a moment as he watched through the window as two bids chirped with an annoying tune . From his view he saw them open their small wings and fly off somewhere and as well dragging along their bothersome tune. Shaking his head lightly, he looked back down to the bowl of liquid he had juiced. Wasting no further time, he reached into his back pocket and pulled out four old fashion medical like needles made of a thin iron. Looking up once more paranoid like, Rethyn dipped the upper halves of the needles into the liquid. And with no further suspicion he placed the bowl with the needles hanging half way out behind the counter and from view point.

"Hey now, I would love to join you..." Vasa waved her hands in a concilliatory gesture as she backed away from the pirates. She glanced back and saw a wall. Drawing her blade, she made as if to strike the one on the left, then quicky rolled off in the opposite direction. Her opponents were still wondering why the blow hadn't come. How she wished all her opponents could be this tipsy; it would save so much trouble in the future.

Vasa stayed close to the ground and pulled at the legs of one with her sword. He went down fast. Then she popped back up and began deflecting slashes with both sword and shield. Finally, Vasa took an attack from one pirate that she blocked, then immediately turned and hit to the side, knocking his sword aside enough for a quick stab. She continued pressing forward, caught the last with a check from her shoulder, and beat him in the side of the neck with her sword hilt.

The one she'd tripped was trying to get up; Vasa kicked him in the head.

"Now honestly," the mercenary said, "I don't know whether to try to arrest you or shake your hand."

"Either way," Nixie said to the other woman, "I want to thank you for your help. Thanks for not killing any of them either, that probably wouldn't have gone over well with the Captain." She looked at the downed pirates and back at the woman who was now sheathing her weapons. She thought of leaving for a second after she noticed the insignia of a mercenary group but instead she did a slight bow and said,"The name's Nixie and to whom do I owe this pleasure?" She held out her hand in greeting and waited for a reply.

"Vasa Koss, and it really was no trouble at all. That has got to be the most interesting thing to happen to me all month... and doubly so since I got to meet such a nice-looking woman as yourself." Vasa gave Nixie a wink. "But anyway, I suppose it might be more efficient to start with business. You might be able to help me out of this particular predicament I've found myself in."

Vasa began leading Nixie to one of her more favorite taverns, a rather subdued one that tended to be out of the way of most sailors and others that would create a lot of noise and trouble. She wondered if the cute pirate-deadly, too, of course; Vasa had seen what she did with those knives-knew anywhere where she could pick up a new contract. Maybe in that Conclave area would be some brigand or anohter lusting after power over he others. It was quite the lawless place, after all, so it shouldn't be that difficult to ship in a good foot unit to take down anyone else in that area. The trick wa, simply making sure the Bear's Maw was that foot unit.

Ah, but it was speculation, idle speculation. something should at least be found out once she started discussing it with Nixie.

# Medieval fantasy earth, 2010-10-26 21:16:47, as written by Forum_Stalker
"O Lord, blessed be this Thy delicious soup which content I have bought at the unrighteous price of 5 gold coins. Mayest Thy strike those greedy hearts with punishment befitting of their sin. And mayest the Lord give the venison I have put inside this stew a holy taste that blend well with the mushrooms, which is an equally tasty confection. It shall bring forth great joy and glory not to me, but to the divine creation of Thy holy making, and men shall be reminded of how delicious stew tastes when cooked properly. Amen."

Ruayn stirred his bowl with the care and dexterity of a seasoned cook, sprinkling tiny dashes of pepper and salt whenever he thought needed. Of all the fringe benefits one would expect in a royal kitchen, the seemingly limitless amount of stew ingredients in the larder was the top in the list. Ruayn wondered how exactly they managed to get their hands on such . . . exotic food (who knew that pangolins were sublime replacements for chicken?) , but they were royalty after all, they could afford to eat whatever they wanted.

"Thanks again for helping us out, Ruayn," Kira said, bringing in a new stack of clean plates to be filled with confections. Her amber hair was matted with greasy dish-water, yet she made no attempt to smooth it out.

Ruayn threw her a smile, and went to work on dicing the potatoes. "Pleasure's all mine, Kira. After all, it's not everyday someone gets to see the interior of the royal kitchen."

"Not much to look at, is it?"

"Are you kidding?" His smile grew cheek-to-cheek, and he gestured his arms flamboyantly, "Look at this place! They have separate sections for serving spoons and teaspoons! A man's life is complete here!" He couldn't understand why Kira found it so funny, giggling like that. With a shrug of his shoulders and a decent smile, he went back to work on his masterpiece.

"Soup's ready!" he announced, "Anyone up for serving it to the princess?" A dead silence fell upon the room. Suddenly, everyone was finding the mahogany floors very interesting.

"Huh. Well . . . I've always wanted to meet royalty anyway," he placed the bowls delicately onto the tray, balancing it effortlessly on one hand, "Hold the fort, will you, Silvi?"

He sauntered merrily to the royal dining room, humming a nursery rhyme to himself. This trip to the castle had been sunny-side up all day long. He couldn't wait to tell the monks back home about the fire training he saw in the garden. What a sight. When at last he reached the door, he realized he didn't know the etiquette for serving royalty, so instead he settled for simply knocking, and pushing the door open with a huge cry of "Soup's ready, my liege!"

Then he stopped dead in his tracks. "Oh, um . . ."

The princess was standing, very much infuriated, traces of mashed potatoes trailing down her cheek. There was a fireball pulsating on her hand. On the table, making a massacre of all the ambrosia prepared before him, was a man looking very much like a deer caught in the headlights. "Bad timing?" Ruayn muttered softly, "Pardon me. I'll just . . . come back another time." The door snapped shut.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Hey Qetzo, you know how long that might take? I don't want to hold up our portion of the RP if you can't post. In favor of keeping the RP alive I'm alright with a joint post if you are.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Like if you press page two on posting you can actually see page 2.

Also i might be delayed in posting as my attention is being called to fixing the master bedroom of my house after being badly burnt.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Wait what? What did you mean Qetzo?

And I'm not sure what's up with the lack of posting D:

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well you could always go after the dragon yourself seeing as,

he felt the iron leash around his neck release from him

It looks as if you've set yourself up to do whatever you want from my perspective.

But it's up to you, I don't want to sound too controlling.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Hmm if rethyn takes the money, he gets knocked out of the main plot for a while and if he refuses it I'd be out of character

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Yeah they are, sorry if the attack was unclear in my post. I'll go edit it now and clarify.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

If you google hamstrings DO NOT click the images that pop up, one of them is loaded with a virus that installs itself posing as a security tool. I just got hit with it myself.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

One thing though, Trooper aren't the hamstrings on the back part of the legs? I have to check.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Its fitting, both of them are very warrior centric characters, and its not like they know of anything that happened in Fangotha, and even if they did its doubtful ether of them have much reason to care unless suddenly the whole world was in peril. Come to think of it, its doubtful that the people of Garunim know anything of what happened 100 years ago. Aurlious might, that's up to the his player though.

Also as with Nixie and Vasa, Aurlios and Raos are both interesting characters and its fun to watch them develop even in battle, regardless of whether or not they are in the central plot. I left a lot of room for people to do things like that as not everyone likes or wants to be a part of a central plot at any given time. And in this instance in character it doesn't make any sense for them to be in or want to go to Fangotha anyway. Also when you get 9 players in one place things get convulted and the RP can slow down drastically. I'm actually pretty impressed with how smooth this castle meeting room segment is flowing considering how many of us are in there.

Midnightclub, you are so far away from what has been happening you could move a few days along and it should be fine, your character will just be a few days ahead of those in Fangotha. Time lines realign themselves really easily in RPS. So feel free to let some days pass near you.

Re: [OOC] Fangoria, A fantasy RP!

Well I was just eager to start a fight and Qetzo's character seemed the most likely to oblige :D

I enjoy the fighting, it keeps people coming back to read if anything and thus leads to more posts.
