Akane is a very observant individual. She remembers every face she's ever seen, and every name she's ever heard. Her memory is very nearly perfect. She can be a mousy individual, but don't be too quick to write her off as timid, she's very loud and outspoken in certain situations. She's dilligent about her work and it always comes first. Akane can come off a little reserved and even cold, but she does have a happier, bright side to her personality. She used to be so busy with work that very few people ever got to see the more effervescent side to her. She isn't exactly sure how to feel about the fatal flaw in the special pill she worked on with her colleagues. She's a mixture of frustration and being apologetic. She's angry that, somewhere in her calculations, there was a mistake and that one minor mistake turned the world upside down. She's sorry about all of the lives that have been destroyed because she and the other scientist were dabbling in something that probably should have been left alone. She isn't exactly wallowing in self-pity though, more than anything she's determined to find a solution the the problem at hand. She wants to figure out some way to make things better, even the slightest bit, but things aren't looking too great at the moment.

History:
Akane was born into a, for lack of better words, intelligent family. Both of her parents were heavily involved in the scientific community. It was only natural that their only daughter would choose to follow in their footsteps. She soared through school, interned at hospitals, shadowed doctors, among other various things on her way to the top. She started working for Z and Sons when she was twenty-one and loyally stuck with the company up until current times. As soon as she heard of the idea of a life-enhancing pill she quickly jumped on board for the project. She had the highest hopes for the outcome, but unfortunately, things didn't work out the way she believed they would. She didn't have time to dwell on her mistakes, because soon after the world became a very different place. She found herself being taken in for questioning, but that never happened once the bombs went off.
