Introduction

Welcome to the year 2087. Technology has improved beyond belief. AIDS and HIV have been completely eradicated, along with many forms of cancer due to vaccines and improved treatments. Hospitals are extremely high tech and so illnesses are much less severe than they used to be. Education is available to all, no matter who you are or how much money you have. Yet all is not as well as it seems.

In 2080, an injection was invented. It granted you the ability to read other people's minds. Many people signed up immediately. They didn't read the full descripton and side-effects. And, when the side effects began to take effect, the company just locked the sufferers up in a mental asylum and kept selling the injection.

The people who used the injection first suffered from OCD. If something was out of place, they couldn't rest until they fixed it. Then, they became isolated fron their friends and family. Finally, they began to see things that weren't there and hear thing that weren't there and hear things that weren't there either. Combined together, the person is essentially insane.

There's a group who oppose the vaccine with their entire being. A family member may have suffered, or they may just feel it is against their morals. Yet most of society don't know the side effects, so they don't see anything wrong with the vaccine. They need to find a way to stop the injection, to get the doctors to work on a vaccine, and to find a way to help those who have already received the vaccine.

And life only wants to make it harder. Love, hate, heartbreak.

Re: [OOC] Fighting The Inevitable

Is it okay if I make a person who has had the injection, but it was interrupted so they don't have full on side effects?
