In the city of Alexandria the festival of time had just reached its pinnacle as the Adventures of the Crystal Guardians began to be performed upon the stage at the center of the city, though unknown to the inhabitance of the town a being of darkness walked amongst them on this most joyous of evenings. Just as the story reached the battle between the guardians and the lords of darkness the Fiend jumped onto the stage as his cloak was cast of their standing on the stage was one of the fabled shadow lords.” bow before your new master!” he had proclaimed with an evil laugh as the town broke into pandemonium people running for their lives from this being of evil who stood before them. As the inhabitance ran an old man crippled from his many years of hard labor sat before the stage, he having been left behind by his young grandson who had run for safety,” You, old man bow before my powers and I shall grant you your childhood youth again,” proclaimed the creature as it stood before the old man.

The old man simply looked up at the creature with a face showing no fear and said,” I will never bow before a fiend who seeks terror in the hearts of others.”

“If you will not bow before me then you shall burn at my feet!” The creature said evilly as Heartless and Bombs began to appear in the square they running wild as they tore the town to pieces the Bombs lighting fires that burned the city to the ground before the people who once called it home.

This fiend went on that night burning and destroying everything that lay in his path to the high castle. Once he made the journey there the castle was torched to the ground by his minions as stronghold of darkness and death rose from the pits of the underworld to take its place as the dark creature began to summon other champions of the shadows to fight for him. The world could only watch as an evil shadow of despair descended over the land of Soleil from the Sea of Terania to the deserts in the east the inhabitance having to stand idle as one by one beings of darkness burned there cities to the ground before them.

But there was hope…
In the far corners of the map there laid a cave forgotten by man over the ages. In the heart this cave there was a crystal, known simply as the time shard, which floated above a pool of water it giving off its own glittering light that lit the pool below. As the forces of darkness had burned the world above the crystal had brought through time a group of heroes to take back the land for the people whom had been wronged and to lay siege to the forces of darkness that have infected the land of Soleil these heroes are the Crystal Guardians and this is there story.
