Name: Kamon Leradine
Age: 51
Race: Human
Favorite Weapon:
Appearance:
Tall and strong, with flowing silver hair and bright blue eyes, he can be a horror to behold. Between his pale coloring and dark clothing, terrified enemies have been left gibbering madly about "walking death". His terrifying appearance has grounds in reality, of course. His entire body is laced with muscles, and covered with scars, both from magic and from blades. His entire left arm burnt to a blackened crisp; the reason, he is rather tired of saying, that he is no longer right handed.
Personality: Though in battle he becomes dark, silent, and generally fits the description of "walking death", his image becomes a bit less threatening in times of peace. Especially when Edge is around. He raised the boy like his own son, and is quite fond of him. Though he is still calm and soft-spoken, whenever he is not fighting, he is also gentle, responsible, and a large pacifist. He will only fight when he has to. Which means that Edge's tendency to simply run into any battle he pleases rather annoys him. He is highly protective of all his friends and won't tolerate them being mistreated or hurt.
History: He has been a Guardian since he was younger than the boy who he raised as his own son. His guarding career ended with a fire-spell gone wrong; it burnt his arm to the point where he can hardly use it. He is still incredibly strong in battle, but not as strong as he once was. He was contemplating suicide over his lost strength and lost purpose when he came across the boy living wild on the beaches of Besaid. He couldn't help it; the energetic boy so enthralled him, that he took him in. He is the only person in the world to whom Edge has told his past; the boy was only five when Kamon found him. Kamon has taught Edge to be a strong fighter, as well as a summoner, and now he proudly follows, at the risk of his own life, to guard Edge on his path to the Final Summoning.
Likes: Reading, peace and quiet, fighting, summoners, guarding, Edge
Dislikes: His own weakness, knowing that Edge may not be able to complete the mission.
Hobbies: Training Edge, or when he's not doing that, trying to keep Edge from getting himself killed.
Fears: Death. As much as he hates to admit it. Death.
Weaknesses: His left arm is almost useless, and his entire left side is a bit slower than his right.
Life Goal: To die protecting a summoner.
Theme Song: Still Calls Me Son, John Waller
