Introduction

(The RP is now full)

At the time, the great Kingdom of Jin’est in their world of Aanaarden grew prosperous and wealthy with the crops, weapons, and scholars. Their time of virtue finally came after 21 years of war, but then something unexpected happened. The king, Old Yer’non, began to throw his family, guards, and random citizens into the dungeon underneath his castle. He claimed to be getting rid of the spies for the Kingdom of Zen, but people began to have their doubts after he threw in his best friend since childhood into the dungeon. “Zen spies have no right here and deserve no hospitality!” He’d rant and continued to throw people into the dungeon. There was a way out of the dungeon, but not many people got to the exit mostly because of the Fiend that lived under the castle; Goblins, Bombs, and even a Minotaur. Our unlikely heroes were thrown into said dungeon and awoke to find themselves in a dark and damp room, but their story comes later. For now, learn about the past and the world you’ve decided to jump into…

The Kingdom of Zen was created for the sole purpose of resurrecting the Fallen Four, the Archdemons, yet their intentions were not unusual. Zen simply wanted to tap into the elemental powers the Archdemons possessed. The power to freeze anything they touch, control the liquid within someone’s body, burn whatever comes in contact with them, or move at a speed that surpasses god. They completed their task of reviving the Archdemons, but with a price. The Kingdom of Zen was thrown into an abyss and no one has escaped it and no one in Aanaarden has heard of them since. Two years have passed since that incident and the Archdemons have been revived and balanced the world with their powers over the elements, but now they have flung the world into disorder.

The king of Jin’est began to act weird as soon as disorder took over the world. It simply started with unusual habits: insomnia, anorexia nervosa, paranoia, and then schizophrenia. It took him two years to finally snap and believed spies from Zen were doing this to him. Even the white mages from the kingdom could not cure his unexplained actions. The white mages call this “Yer’non’s Disorder.”

The king’s most faithful guard, Lukas, has been by his side and protected him from any of the town’s black mages that seek to end the king’s misery. “If it is not his bidding, then I shall guard him with all my life.” He claimed and has defeated every single mage, knight, and ninja that tried to assassinate Yer’non. Lukas is the most gifted Dragoon in all of Aanaarden and some people claim that he has been infected with the chaos that is consuming the lands.

Each Archdemon was revived and burst their own petrifaction with their great power sending a shard of that element out into Aanaarden, but after so much time the elemental power was soaked into the world and only the shard remains, still holding the power of evolution and greater inner strength. The Dungeon of Jin’est holds some of these and it is unknown how they got their seeing as how simply touching a shard will enable the inner strength to burst out and the shard to be infused with the body, but it could be that the bodies of the unlucky had made contact with some shards and upon their death the shards left their bodies.

Now we have arrived back to the heroes, each plunged into their seemingly untimely and unnecessary deaths. It is up to each of them to make their own choice and make it back to their own dreams whatever it may be and wherever it may take them…

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leveling up

It would be done when you gained exp from defeating fiends (which will be encountered quite often) and from Bosses (including the Archdemons). After you get enough exp points (say 100 the first time, then 150 the second time, then 225, so on so forth) you get 3 Ability points that you can add to your stats (STR, DEF, MAG, MDF, etc.) and 1 Skill point that you can use to "give" yourself a move or upgrade an existing move (Learned "Barrier Break", Fire------>Fira). Of course limits will be in place...

Classes

You'd start out as a basic (Warrior, BLK Mage, WHT Mage, Archer, Thief, etc.) but if you find a Shard (see below for Shard explanations) then you could change or LV up your class (BLK Mage----->ADV BLK Mage, Warrior----->Soldier). There'll be a max of 3 LV classes (BLK Mage----->ADV BLK Mage----->MST BLK Mage, Warrior----->Soldier----->Knight). By leveling up your class it will unlock how many moves you can have, how powerful your moves can be, and what natural abilities you have (Warrior: STR +3, Soldier: STR +5, Knight: STR +10).

Magic

Magic grows more powerful the higher up the chart it is. Basics are usually Fire, Water, Thunder, Blizzard, Cure, etc. and advanced ones are usually Firaga, Waterga, Thundaga, Blizzaga, Curaga, etc. and exclusively for the RP people who master an element get the -ja form of it which affects everyone it targets and has more affect than it's previous form, -ga (Thundaja, Curaja, etc.). If you start out as a mage you can only start out with 1 spell. You will be able to receive other spells via scrolls or books throughout the world by PMing me a request for another spell or receiving one after a boss battle.

Shards

Shards can be obtained by PMing me during a chapter and requesting a mission to get a Shard (only 1 Shard per Chapter with a total of 6 Shards throughout the RP letting you master 2 classes). Shards will vary during the chapters and I will allow everyone to get a shard during the first chapter, but chapters after that will only have 2 shards so choose wisely who gets to obtain them…

Enemies

I will play most enemies (seeing as how I’m GM) but the other Heroes can have enemies appear that they wish to fight or conflict with the story. After all, this plot is not a straight line meaning it can go this way one day, then that way the next. Enemies should be according to the area (don’t have a Yellow Flan appear in the middle of a volcano).

Archdemons

They are the 4 main bosses, besides the final boss, that MUST be defeated before passing on to the next chapter (chapters will be explained below). The 4 Archdemons are Fire, Water, Thunder, and Blizzard (yes the 4 elements). It’s obvious what their weakness and strengths are and it is no secret since the world knows about them. The Archdemons will vary in strength regarding the chapter they’re in.

Chapters

Chapters will be chosen by the Heroes, besides the first and final chapters, meaning after escaping the dungeon you can chose which Archdemon to go after. There is no order in which you must fight them, nor is there an easy order. Archdemon’s power will vary depending on which chapter they’re encountered in.

Character Building

Your character is allowed 3 Skill Points meaning either having a more advanced version of a spell or having an ability you think might make some battles easier. NOTE: Spells are limited by class along with the power of a skill (BLK Mage can only have basic spells up to –ra, fire---fira.) When you make your character you only get 80 Stat points to place in various spots (Excluding LV, HP, and MP). You MUST have at least 5 in each spot, but you can fill the rest with the remaining points you have. HP is determined by 4x VIT and MP is determined by MAG + SRT + 1/2VIT. Everyone will start at LV 1. I WILL be checking this to make sure you did the calculations right.

Summoning

Summons can be acquired by anyone, but only 1 summon can be used by any person. Obtaining a summon may be requested by PMing me with the subject "Summoning." Summons will be able to level up such as how your character does, but it will only gain 1 SP (summon Point) for each monster it defeats (5 for bosses). These SP can be used to upgrade a stat or level up an attack (Blizzard + 10SP----->Blizzara). Summons can be used during battle and will fight instead of using their ultimate ability and leaving. They will be posted as minor characters instead of in the character listing. They can be summoned by using MP (about 1/4 of total MP) and will last until the summon, user, or enemies die. Summons are unavailable at the beginning of the RP and can be obtained anytime after Chapter 1.

Classes

Archer - Uses bows and arrows
Bard - Sings to cause effects (Unbuffed)
Beastmaster - Controls other monsters
Berserker - Attacks uncontrollably (Unbuffed)
Black Mage - Uses magic to harm enemies
Blue Mage - Learns enemy skills
Chemist - Uses items more effectively
Dancer - Dances to cause effects (Unbuffed)
Soldier - Sword user who reduces enemy stats.
Thief - Steals from enemy
Warrior - Initial sword user class.
White Mage - Uses magic to heal allies

Crossover Classes (Still in works)

These ones cannot be picked at the beginning of the game, but can be picked if you have 2 jobs that you are compatible and you wish to combine into one job so you don’t need to switch between them.

Paladin - Combines physical strength with white magic and can cover allies.
Magic Knight - Combines black magic and physical attacks
Red Mage - Can cast white and black magic

Available Skills For Newbies

Physical attacks shouldn’t do more than 50 damage right away and their abilities should be around the effect of lowering stats mildly. Mages can only use the basic and –ra versions of spell at the beginning. –ga can be learned at ADV and –ja can be learned when mastering the class.

Frozen Soul wrote:Final Fantasy: Yer'non's Disorder is an average RP with a decent plot-line. The characters could use a tad more description and detail yet they are developed well enough to fit with the basic idea. The one thing which I found interesting was the leveling-up side of the story: it allows those which want their characters to have a dooms-day ability to gain them after a period of time when reaching the required stage of powers, and it also prevents characters to have instant "I kill you" buttons. Overall: A story for the normal writer looking to spin a few words.

Heart awoke, dazed by what had happened, and saw a couple others on the ground. So I'm the first to wake. he thought and walked over to a wall and leaned against it, then back away quickly as the wall was molded and was covered in dirt. There was a hatch above, but it would be no use getting up and opening it since it would be surrounded by guards if it wasn't sealed. And the only way to get up there would be by standing on at least two other person's shoulders and with that time wasted on getting one man up there a soldier could easily decapitate his enemy. "Let's have a look around." he spoke softly and walked towards the end of the hall and looked down both ways, left and right, both leading to abysmal darkness. "No sense waiting here." he said and continued down the right hall and came across a goblin.
"Gra!" it cried out and pulled a dagger out of it's sheath.
"Flithy worm." Heart muttered as he reached for his longsword and pulled it out of the sheath and pointed it directly at the goblin's face. They were just feets away from each other before the goblin began to run towards Heart. He jumped back and avoided the first attack, then sliced his sword across it's body and cut it, making it bleed (-11). The blood ran down it's arm and splashed against the walls as it screamed in pain. "Let your existance vanish." Heart said as he pulled the sword towards his face, then jumped towards the goblin and sliced sideways across the goblin's body and sliced it right in half (-20). The goblin's body turned to a blue aura surrouned with a hint of green as spheres of white left the remains of his body. Heart sheathed his blade as the paritcles of aura soaked through the ceiling and left one sphere of blue behind, floating where the heart formerly was. Heart reached his hand out and the aura moved slowly towards his palm and seemed to be absorbed into his hand. Heart felt a little stronger, but nothing to brag over, as he walked back to where the others laid on the ground.

Zak reluctantly opened his eyes. He felt tired, but knew that staying asleep on the ground wouldn't make anything better. Using a nearby wall, he slowly stood up and took note of his surroundings, brushing his hands together to sweep off whatever it was that he touched. Mold...trapdoor...nothing too weird... His legs were sore, and so was his head. Maybe from how he landed. There were some others on the floor, most likely with the same fate that he had met.

Still leaning on the wall, Zak noticed someone walking back towards this room. He slowly crouched down and picked up his stave, then stood back up, groaning a little at having to stand on his still tired legs. "Who's there? I am well-...well, I am armed!"

Soggy smell. Slightly damp ground. Dark lighting making it difficult to see. This wasn't something all that peculiar anymore. Oh no, she'd gotten used to these surroundings over the past few days. But something just...wasn't so comfortable today, if that could be accepted as a description of how her conditions in this dungeon were.
"Fryd dra ralg....?" the woman thought to herself as her eyes fluttered open. The last thing she'd remembered before falling asleep had been her alone in this lonely cell. There had been no one there to keep her company, and she liked it that way. But as she sat up the slightest bit, she noticed that there was at least two other people in this cell, as well as another figure walking towards them.
She peered through the dim lighting, curious at what the two figures standing up were doing. They were both male, which put her even more on edge. The one that was closer to her looked as if he couldn't feel his legs very well, and was saying something in English. She understood him full well, but it was a little bit unsettling to hear that this cellmate of hers didn't know who was walking towards him.
As silently as she could, Faelynn scooted even farther backwards into the cell, trying to escape into the darkness as a sense of security. Maybe if she was back here and stayed quiet, these unfamiliar people wouldn't recognize her as anything more than a corpse.
"E luimt yddylg res nekrd huf. E ghuf E luimt. Ra fuimth'd ghuf fryd red res." She thought once more, trying to figure out a sensible way out of this situation. She eventually decided against this scheme of hers, deciding that she really didn't feel like drawing that kind of attention to herself so early in the game. Instead, she curled into a ball, obscuring herself from vision even more. There was one issue with this idea- the lantern light from outside the cell was shining in on the back wall, and her arm was just barely being hit by the smallest sliver of light. She hoped to whatever there was for her to hope to that they wouldn't notice her.

Kross sat up at the sound of anothers voice and noticed he was in the castle dungeon. Reaching down he felt his hips to make sure his trusty daggers were still in their sheaths. Standing up and stretching his arms toward the ceiling he said, "Calm down, we aren't what you have to worry about in this place, its the monsters." With that he walked past the other that was toward the entrance to the cell and down the corridor, trying to remember his way around the horrid the dungeon. He had been down here once before when he had escorted a captive to his cell, which was left open because if anybody tried to escape the monsters would get them.
Kross continued down the hall and proceeded to go to the left. He continued for another twenty feet until he came across a small goblin. "Too easy..." He said as he pulled out both of his daggers.
"Neh," the goblin said as it pulled its small dagger out.
Kross didn't give the creature any time to attack and quickly swung down with his left dagger(-17) then stabbed his right dagger into the creatures face. (-17) This all happened before the small unintelligent being even realized what was happening to it. It started to fade away into a blue aura with small white spheres floating around. Kross reached out and felt the strength of the creature flow into him.
Turning back Kross walked to the others and looked at the stronger looking one, "This place is full of monsters, we'll ave to work together to get out."

Heart walked out of the shadows and greeted the man with a stave with a simple bow, folding his right amr across his stomach and his left arm behind his back. "No need to be cautious about me. My name is Heart Undist-Revel and I awoke here just minutes ago with the same amount judgment as you. I know where we are, but it is simply too risky to even attempt to escape thr way we came, so we'll have to try and fight our way through this place." Heart explained and gritted his teeth, then looked at the wall next to him and observed the mold ooze green puss and closed his eyes in disgust. Just then a man walked by him who did not even introduce himself and Heart looked over his shoulder to watch the man walk down and away from the rest of them. "Seems another impatient one joins the pack, huh?" Heart asked out loud, but to no specific person, then the man walked back.
"This place is full of monsters, we'll ave to work together to get out." He said and Heart closed his eyes and nodded his head.
"The three of us will be enough to stop them, afterall, I have encountered a filthy vermin already, but he was no match." Heart commented and looked down and speard the fingers on his right hand. He was remembering the aura that soaked into his palm after he sleid the Fiend. He felt uneasy from that, but felt slightly stronger, but nothing more than a child accomplishing a task they deemed "hard." Heart then looked back up at the man with the stave and began to speak, "We should get moving soon. The Fiends move around and if we stay too long we'll starve to death." Just then he noticed something sparkling behind the man and tried to figure out what it was. Bones? Unlikely, unless they were human bones. Even then, though, it would not shine that great. he thought then walked past the man and kneeled down to make eye contact with the darkness in front of him. He concentrated into the darkness and could slightly see what it was, but the image was not clear to him. He didn't want to waste anymore time, so he stood up and looked around the room. "Nothing of use, is there?" he asked knowing well that either the man with the stave or the man who wandered off had at least checked the cell first.

"Well that's much better luck then I've had before." Zak shook his head, trying to keep the headache he had to a minimum. He finally stood up and put all of his weight on his legs. "...ow." Shaking one of his legs, he looked around the room one more time and stretched. "Starve, be killed, or kill are our choices then? I vote kill." So, how does everybody expect to get out of here again? I see no where to get out, it's a dungeon... Zak let out a short yawn.

"Nothing of use that I noticed. Unless you intend to fight some very dangerous yeast with this mold on the wall." He looked around one last time to double check. He didn't really pay too much attention though. They were in a dungeon. What could there be? A skeleton or two? Some zombies? A lich? He stopped his train of thought, though, due to the fact he was starting to scare himself.

Dakar awoke to voices filling the room. In his grogginess, he was unable to decipher their meanings, but he could tell that they were at least human. "Ugnh, my head. W-where am I?" he said, his deep voice echoing throughout the room. He looked up, waiting for his blurry vision to clear. He saw a chamber, a dungeon to be exact. It was old, grimy, and disgusting with mold crawling up and down the walls. He looked around, seeing rusty cell doors and chains. He then focused his vision on the four others standing a ways away from him. He stood, turning his large, muscular figure towards them. He had no idea of their intentions, whether they had ended up here just like he had or not, but he could never be too cautious. He approached them carefully.
"Excuse me. My name is Dakar fon Giruvagen. Can anyone tell me how we got here?" he asked the group of strangers.

Kross walked up to the man that had just introduced himself, his sensitive ears staying tuned down the path to hear for monsters. "Name's Kross. And you, my friend, are in the king's dungeon, who knows how we got here." Kross looked at the one that had laid down their options. "My vote also goes to kill."
Kross then peered into the corner, his ears picking up the noises of breathing coming from within the dark. "Why hello. I didn't realize there were five of us in here. What's your name?" He asked in his nicest voice possible as he squatted down, not wanting to scare the other.

Faelynn's heart stopped in her chest for a moment, terrified as the man who referred to himself as Heart knelt down and peered in the darkness in her direction. She held her breath and stayed absolutely still, making it seem like her pale arm was just a leftover bone from long ago or something of the like. She didn't want to deal with the company of these people. Upon further investigation of the area with her eyes, there was five people in the dungeon. Including herself. And, as if karma was giving her a big slap in the face, all of the others were male.
A mouse-squeak-quiet sigh escaped from her lips as the male stood up and walked away. Thankfully, he hadn't seemed to notice her as a living, breathing, creature. She could wait here, until the others were a safe distance away. Then, she could escape via her own path...
Once again, karma decided to spoil this plan of hers.
Before she knew it, one of the other males was before her once again, but he was actually acknowledging the fact that she was there. She half-listened to his words, holding back as much as possible. All she wanted to do was yell and scream for him to leave her alone. She wanted to run out of the cell and careen down a corner, get as far away from these men as she could. He seemed to be expressing some actual hospitality towards her, but no matter. From her experience, men were excellent at faking and lying their way through things.
Her malachite eyes stayed fixated on the ground as she rose a little bit, standing up to her full height. Although, that wasn't saying too much.
"E tuh'd ghuf fru oui yna...." she began in her native tongue, sliding against the wall so as to not corner herself. "Un ruf oui kud rana...Ymm E ghuf ec dryd oui'na y boy."
Without another word, she hurried to the corner opposite the one she'd been kneeling in, now bathed in the light of the lantern entirely. She kept her back turned towards the men, making it so they could only see her hair. No other idenfication marks could be allowed. Her scars were too unique, and her eyes were that of a typical Al Bhed. Knowing how the soldiers had treated her, people probably wouldn't much care for her. Simply because of her race. Then again, she'd never met anyone outside of her people before her fight with the soldiers. Maybe these guys were different. She didn't really want to take that risk. At the most, she'd follow behind these men and use them as her cheap ticket out of this mold-infested cellar.

Dakar peered into the darkness Kross was looking into, down the hallway (if it could be called that). His focus seemed to be on that of another person in the dark. He was uncertain of what to do, not knowing if they were dealing with friend or foe. "It's the cunning that hide in the dark. Be on guard", he warned Kross.
"E tuh'd ghuf fru oui yna...." a voice came from the black. It was a woman, and Dakar recognized the language: this woman, whoever she was, was Al Bhed. "Un ruf oui kud rana...Ymm E ghuf ec dryd oui'na y boy", she finished. Dakar heard her footsteps, and she stopped under a lantern in the corner of the dungeoun. Dakar could only see her hair now; a stange color purple. Dakar raised his left eyebrow in curiosity.
"Al Bhed........how peculiar", he muttered to himself. He thought for a moment before turninig to the others. "What should we do?" he asked.

"Kill..." Heart spoke under his breath, then closed his eyes and turned towards the darknening hallway. "If we must kill, then we will only succeed when we work together. The darkness that covers these hall are the only shred of hope we have. Let's go." Heart said while he took a couple steps forward, then stopped and looked back at Kross and the female who had stood up and walked into the corner. Heart wasn't the type to get emotional about these things, but they had to move or suffer starvation. He knew this and so did everyone else, but he Heart will not just leave the group and enter his doom.
Heart stopped to think about what Kross said earlier, "...who knows how we got here."
I remember. thought Heart, but now was not the time to reminisce. Just then there was a roar that came from down the hall, though it was loud the source was very far away. Heart squinted his eyes and covered his left ear with his left hand. "Damn." he commented and looked down the corridor again. "We can have a proper introduction later. Right now we need to find a safer haven." Heart said and looked back at everyone and pointed at the man with a stave. "Come with me." he said and walked down the hall and took a right. He wanted to make sure he had someone who could cover his weaknesses while covering theirs and the person seemed to be a mage, afterall they were wielding a stave. He then stopped and thought about his decision. A Mage and a warrior. That woman back there should be properly protected by two men. They seemed to me as warriors, but the girl could probably handle herself. What is she though? And Kross? Heart was thinking and looked back to make sure the man was following him, but did not see him yet. He was wondering about so much and questions began to form in his mind, but now was not the time and he knew this. Just then two Golbins came out of the darkness with their daggers in hand. "Hmph." Heart grunted as he pulled out his long sword and pointed it at the Goblins then pointed it down by his right foot.

Kross sat where he was for a second contimplating what his options were. He could either follow the other man, when he was clearly not asked to; he could stay here with the girl and wait fir the other to find a way out; or, and he liked this option best, he could go down the other tunnel that the man had not taken. Suddenly his ears perked up as he heard the shuffling of goblin boots, but he let his mind go at ease when he realized they were by the other man, who appeared to be able to take care of himself.
Turning to the other two on the cell with him he said, "Well you may be content waiting for the other to find us a way out, but I am not. I am going to go down and to the left. Whichever of you would like to follow me is welcome." Without waiting for a response he set off and turned left continuing past where he had killed the lone goblin earlier, his ears listening for the sound of any approaching vermin. Then, he heard it. The slight shuffling noise of boots on a cold hard floor. Pulling out his daggers and readying himself he whispered, "Come to papa..."
Just at that moment the three goblins rounded the corner and saw him all at once pulling their smal daggers from the sheaths the advanced toward him.
"Not a chance.." Kross said as he jumped at the closest one slicing down with his right dagger (-17) then again with his left (-17). As that goblin faded away he spun around on one of the remaining two and stabbed his right dagger (-34) into its chest and just for good measure stabbed his left one in as well.
Then using his speed he spun around in a wide arc slicing his left dagger (-17) then his right dagger (-17) through the goblins neck.
"Pitiful trash... Where is a real figth when you need it..." Kross said as he reached his hand out and felt the familiar rush of strength flow into him.

Work together? Is he nuts? Zak couldn't keep the thought out of his head. We've barely known each other for a moment. How do we know if one of us wasn't going to kill another? Even with those ideas in mind, he knew that there wasn't any other option than working together. It was that or die one of many deaths. Suddenly he saw who was probably the first to wake up from this endeavor point at him. Me? Why me of all the people down here?

He looked around but saw no other choice. Besides, it was better than staying in one place. He followed, and came across the man again. Standing before the man were a couple of goblins. "Well, I was beginning to get bored." What the hell are goblins doing down here in the first place?

As he watched Kross go down the hallway to the left, and the mage follow the one called Heart, Dakar saw no better choice than to follow Kross, seeing as he was going alone. He turned to look at the Al Bhed girl again, and she seemed to not want to follow. Dakar turned away from her, following down the hallway to the left. At first, he couldn't see where Kross was until walking down the hall a little ways. "Greetings", Dakar said kindly as he stepped forward to join the other warrior. Suddenly, he was pounced on by a goblin. The creature stood on Dakar's shoulders, trying to force it's dagger into the large man's head. His helmet had deflected the dull blade, however, and Dakar was able to grab his enemy in his right hand, and deliver a sound, bone-breaking punch (-30) into the goblin's face. The goblin lashed out at Dakar, skinning his leg (-5). Dakar then reared back with another forceful punch, crushing the ugly creature's face (-20). The goblin disappated, and a tiny blue orb shimmered where it had been. Dakar grabbed it, and it dissolved into his body, and he felt the slightest surge of strength flow through him as he stepped forward to join up with Kross.

Suddenly, things went quiet. Well, for the most part, that is. She could still /barely/ hear the sounds coming from down either direction of the halls that symbolized fighting.
And here, Faelynn was left with choices. She could stay here alone, and just wait for freedom or death. To a normal person, just waiting there would sound like the dumbest plan ever. But to this antisocial Al Bhed, it was one of the most appealing thoughts she'd had in a while. Another option was to follow the Heart guy. He hadn't invited her, which showed an immediate warning flag of inhospitality that rubbed her the wrong way. And finally, there was the decision of scurrying after the guy on the left. Even though she'd rather not, she did understand that he might be able to find a way out.
After a few moments of consideration, she opted for the latter of the three. But, she wasn't going to just follow head-on and give input into the situation. She just figured that she'd follow around ten feet or so behind, far enough back to where she wouldn't be seen or heard. But close enough so that she could always keep them in her sight.
She shuffled out of the hall, her bare feet barely making a tapping noise on the stone ground. At most, there was a slight 'pat-pat-pat' sound with her steps, but she knew (or thought she knew) that nobody would hear it.

Kross watched Dakar take care of the goblin with ease and decided it was safe to put his daggers away. "Nice work, you aren't half bad." Kross complimented him and turned continuing down the hall. He walked a couple steps before his inhuman ears picked up a slight noise coming from behind them. It was too quiet for normal human ears to hear but it was as if it was right next to Kross because of his large elf like ears.
"You can come up here you know," Kross yelled back into the darkness where he knew the girl was following, it had to be her. "I won't hurt you. I'm not like most of those uncivilized humans, I treat ladies with the utmost respect."

Heart watched the two goblins poke their daggers into the air in front of them and he grinned when he heard the voice of his companion behind him. "Well, I was beginning to get bored." said the man behind him and Heart looked back, but still payed close attention to the goblins.
"You can join in if you want. I doubt harm will fall on us if we work together." Heart assured as a goblin ran towards him, screaming. Heart looked back at the goblin and sliced at it's body (-11), but then the other goblin came and sliced at Hearts left arm (-5). "Damn vermin." cussed Heart as he looked over at the goblin that had done this and sliced down on it's face (-11), but then the other goblin that he had attacked earlier stabbed his back (-10). "Ugh...." Heart looked back and sliced at it's feet (-11), but was being overwhelmed.

Faelynn let out a sigh, realizing that she'd been discovered. "Pid ruf....?" she thought to herself, knitting her brows in confusion. She was SURE that she'd been as quiet as could be....how could the man have heard her?
No matter. Now that her secret was out, she couldn't very well just ignore him. If she did, the men might decide that she was of no use to them and kill her. She really didn't want that. She wanted to get back out of here, and maybe travel around for a few years. She hadn't gotten to see anything yet, and she was determined to do so.
The most that the violet-haired female could do was to play up being an Al Bhed. Act as if she could understand English, but couldn't speak it. That way, she wouldn't have to hold some honest conversation with the other two. Well, she could still reply in Al Bhed, but she doubted that they could understand what she was speaking. From the way that she looked at it, it seemed like she held the upper hand.
"E'mm pameaja dryd frah E caa ed. Hud dryd oui'mm kad dra lryhla du. Fa'mm web drnuikr drec bmyla yht pa uid uv rana eh hu desa. Yht drah E'mm hajan ryja du caa ouin vyla ykyeh." She spoke in her native tongue, walking quickly to catch up to them. Using her astonishing speaking skills that she'd learned through knowing two languages, she made it sound as if she was greatful for his hospitality. But, if anyone was around that could speak the language, they would know that her words were anything but.

Kross could tell that the woman sounded grateful for his hospitality so he continued on down the hall, his ears tuned in to the slightest noises around them. Eventually the hallway had a small crook in it and Kross peered around the corner into the darkness.
As his eye rounded the corner he found himself face to face with a horde of small goblins, about ten in number. I may need a little help for this one, he though to himself as he slid his daggers out of the sheaths on his hips. Sneaking up on one of the goblins he stabbed his right hand dagger into its backside (-34). Spinning around he stabbed his right dagger (-17) then his left dagger (-17) into the creatures beady little eyes. Rounding on another of them he sliced his left dagger across its stomach spilling its guts across the floor (-17) then as it was scrambling to grab them he stabbed his other dagger straight up under the disgusting creatures chin straight into its brain (-34). Spinning around swiftly he cut both daggers at the same time in an X across another goblins face (-17, -17). There were six left alive...
The goblin's all turned, finally realizing what was happening, and attacked Kross. He managed to dodge the first ones strike, but there were still five left. The first one slashed at his arm and left a large gash (-6). Another goblin jumped in the air and stabbed Kross in the back from above (-12) as another of the goblins cut at his leg and scored a hit (-6). The last of the two goblins came at him at the same time, each from different sides slashing at midsection. He dodged one of the blades but was cut by the others blade (-6).
"My turn you bastards..." Kross said as he once again started slashing at the goblins. He started with the one that had jumped and stabbed his back, advancing on it he threw one of his daggers straight into the creatures chest (-17) and ran forward pulling that dagger out and slit the goblins throat with the other (-17). Flipping backwards Kross swung both daggers at the same time at another of the now five goblins (-17,-17). As he turned toward the remaining four there was a feral look in his eye and he ran as fast as he could toward them. The first he reached got its chest sliced by his left dagger (-17) and then his other dagger finished the work with a quick stab to the heart (-17). He spun on another goblin and sliced his first dagger threw the beings throat and his second followed close behind (-34).
The remaining two goblins advanced on him and came at him at the same time, both hits scoring a slash across his arms (-6,-6).
"A little help would be nice guys..." Kross said to the two behind him.

Zak saw his new possible ally in front of him, and decided that joining in would be a good idea, seeing as a battle of two against one is completely unfair. "They haven't got a chance against both of us." Zak raised his stave. "C'mon you rodents. I have a surprise for you." He began casting fire, and let it loose on the more heavily wounded goblin, (-10) seeing as one is better than two. One down. He got a little closer to the combat and tried to whack the other goblin over the head with his stave, but it jumped back, then lunged forward again, getting a slash with it's dagger across Zak's chest (-8). He took a couple steps back. "Ow."

Dakar nodded his thanks in Kross's recognition of his skill. They began walking for a minute, when Kross spoke up. "You can come up here you know, I won't hurt you. I'm not like most of those uncivilized humans, I treat ladies with the utmost respect." Dakar had no idea who Kross was referring to until he said "ladies". Was the Al Bhed girl following them? As it turned out, she was. She came from the darkness, speaking sentences in her language. Dakar exhaled deeply. The girl was not pleased. Dakar turned, taking in a breath. "Aqlica sa secc, E ghuf oui tu hud dnicd ic, pid bmayca ymmuf ic y lryhla. Fa sayh oui hu ryns", he spoke to her. He was sure both Kross and the girl were shocked, but he really had no time to explain to them where he learned the language, for a horde of goblins had appeared in the hallway. Kross was the first to act, making quick work of eight of the ten goblins. "A little help would be nice, guys....." he said.
"And I thought I was a skilled warrior". Dakar said laughing. He stepped forward, staring down at the two goblins. Focusing all his energy, using his straight punch on one goblin (-40), killing it instantly. "Ymm ouinc", he said to the girl, motioning his head to the other goblin.
He grabbed the blue orb and felt the energy go through him.

Heart looked back and gave the man a nod and turned his attention towards the goblin that had stuck his ally. "Defense Breaker!" he shouted as he held his sword up above him and it grew a wavy blue aura and sliced down at the goblin (-15). "Now begone!" Heart commanded as he sliced across it's stomach and cut it in half (-15). Heart then lowered his blade and sighed, then looked back at his ally and gave him a small smile. "Thanks." he said and sheathed his blade, then stuck his hand out and grabbed the blue aura and felt a little better. He looked back at his ally and said, "you earned it." letting him take the aura of the other goblin that he defeated. Heart looked down the hall and continued walking a little ways until he saw it split into two halls again. "Which way do you want to go?" Heart asked knowing most challenges would be nothing to them.

She wasn't at all pleased that he spoke her native language, but that was fine. She was intelligent, and would figure out how to trick them.
With a glare, Faelynn marched up to the two males, frowning at both of them before stepping in front. She was weak, but so were the goblins. With a crack of her knuckles, she pulled out her curved dagger and charged at the smelly creature.
She sliced at his front (-7), then whirled around behind him to leave an identical cut on his back (-7). It let out a little growl, which is when she slashed at his right arm twice (-14).
Of course, the goblin didn't seem at all very pleased about this, but turned towards her and gave a disgusting grin. It pulled out the small dagger it kept inside it's sheath, and charged at her, leaving a pretty nice mark on her leg when it buried the dagger into her thigh (-4).
"OUCH!" She yelled out, pulling the weapon out and chucking it on the ground. She then chucked hers at him, embedding it into his forehead, right above the space between his browline (-7).
As the beast faded, she groaned at the pain in her leg, but sucked it up to make herself look like less of a wimp.
