Description

Gwendolyn is a tall woman, standing at five foot eleven. Her blonde-ish hair is usually wound in a tight bun at the top of her head, and covered by her silver helmet; such a colored head covering being a distinguishing honor for knights serving adequately for over five years. Gwen's eyes are more green than dew-coated grass, and have a tendency to frighten people when she looks them straight-on. Her skin is pale due to it being covered constantly, but when she was younger and able to run around freely she was always the color of a loaf of uncut bread.

Personality

Though she doesn't tend to talk much, she has a kind of quiet, dark humour and manages to get her message across without using words. When she's open, anyone would be able to find a woman who thinks things through, almost to the point that she knows the thing by heart. Her photographic memory has been useful to her since she was a child, though she can't often share what she's thinking with others.

Equipment

She works with a set of heartwood-shafted, white marble-tipped arrows measuring two inches in diameter. Though she can use blades of any kind, the prefers the quick and deadly strike of an arrow from afar. The fletchings are long swan's feathers, giving the weapons more speed than power, and most of the time sending them straight through her target and off somewhere in to the bushes on the other side. She cleans them delicately, fingers lingering over each one as she polishes the wood and cleanses the head.

History

Gwen herself has served the Queen for seven, all the while keeping both her name and gender secret. With certainty, she was aware that if the Queen knew that she was female she would immediately be either beheaded or banished for cross-dressing and lying to Her Majesty. She's never made any 'friends', and nobody knows much about Gwen's past other than Gwen. She's been smart enough to keep her head down, and her influences in the right places--her deal with the Queen was that she would serve for ten years, be paid a lump sum of money, and never reveal her identity. The matriarch, being an utter buffoon, accepted without realizing that she was losing money and gaining little assistance.
