Introduction
New Light City was built with the intention of it being a symbol of peace and quiet, and, of course, a new way of life. But when one gang moved in, it all went down-hill. In the present day, the city is practucally run by one large gang, and they have their fights with a few smaller ones. This rp will be within that one large gang that seems to run everything.
The gang ran out and took over one of the larger, nicer hotels; that is their home. They all stay there, and go out whenever they have some plan to carry out, or are looking to steal something, or just want a fight. Most of their members are rather normal; some are strictly thieves, some just like fights, and some specialize in gathering information. One in particular, however, can't do any of that. She cooks and cleans, and that's about it. She cares for the gang like a maid, but will often treat them like their mother...which can get annoying, but can also be useful.
She came into the gang when the old leader kidnapped her, simply for that reason; to care for things the rest of the gang couldn't be bothered with. She quickly adapted to this life, and found that she liked cooking; not so much the cleaning, but she does it, anyway. She will also end up tending to any major wounds, and a few minor ones, if they complain enough. That leader has since died, and is now being run by his child. No one else knew where she had come from, only that she cooks and cleans.
But lately, someone's been found sneaking around. Now, the girl knows well enough who it most likely is; her crazy over-protective older brother, trying to get her back, though she's been here for years. And, after living here for so long, she feels comfortable here. She is used to this place...but she also knows her brother only wants what's best for her. So will she end up staying? Or leaving with her brother? ...But the better question...will everyone else figure out who he is? And why she keeps doing her best to avoid him?
Okay, so there are a few people I will need, and they are up for debate either in the OOC, or you can contact me through pm.
Gang leader: played by Lycos
At least one close friend to the leader: I will allow more than one, but there will be a limit; not everyone can be a close friend to the leader.
Other members: I don't care if any of the characters are male of female, the leader, the friends, or the members. These people are probably going to be the ones that are a little under the leader's friends...probably stuck with more work, but not until the leader says so, of course.
Brother: Someone who will be focused on getting his sister out. I'd like for him to at least look similar to the sister; it doesn't have to be exactly the same, but similar. I will be posting the sister up in a bit, but if I don't get to it fast enough, you can pm me, I already have an idea for that.

3) Characters can die, but only if both the person playing the character being killed and the person playing the killer are agreed. I would like to be notified beforehand, too. Not that I will argue against it, I just want to know.
4) Let me know if you are going to be unable to post; we will find some reason for your character to not show up.
5) Let me know if you are leaving the rp altogether; we can kill your character off, or if someone wants to, we can have someone else playing as your character.
6) If there are any questions or concerns or comments, please put that in the OOC, or pm me. I will try to get to the OOC often, but it might be faster to pm...so if you are impatient, that would be the best way.
7) If you make a character, please remember to post. It's always a pain to try to get a hold of everyone who's forgotten to post.

OOC Notes
Alyssa looked over the table, checking to make sure she had gotten everything. Everything she would have to make and set out, anyway. She nodded to herself, and stood near the bottom of the stairs. She waited a few seconds, and took a deep breath. She had always hated doing this part. She yelled, "Breakfast!" She moved quickly; she didn't want to be run into. She stood against a wall, near the table, so she could keep track of any food she could save, and waited. She had to wonder how many headaches she had caused; there were always a few drinkers up too late. She was only satisfied she would give them a headache; they deserved it, to be up late and drinking. As she watched and waited, she thought about what she would have to do to clean up later; take care of food, washing dishes...what else? She would think she would be able to remember after this long...but no, she couldn't. She settled for watching them eat for now.
OOC Notes
Jake was still asleep, until he heard someone scream breakfast. Unlike the rest of the gang, he took his time to get ready, so he was pretty much the last person to eat. He stayed on the bed with his eyes closed for a few minutes before finally pulling himself up, and rolling out of bed. Yawning, he grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom, taking a quick shower. With a few splashes of water on his face, he was pretty much wake now. When he was done in hte bathroom, he came out and dried his hair with the towel, before looking in the mirror and fixing whatever hair was messed up. Looking in the closet, he pulled out a black hoody with a pair of jeans and changed into them. Jake made sure he at least had his i-pod in his pocket along with a few other things. He grabbed his watch, laying around on his desk, and put it on his left wrist before finally leaving the room. He slide down the railing, and landed perfectly on his feet.
"Morning." he said walking into the kitchen. It looked like most of the gang was done eating by now. Well it didnt matter, he enjoyed eating alone.

Jennifer waited for awhile before heading down to the kitchen. She had already seen Alyssa once this morning when, like every morning, she got up early. She'd go into the kitchen, say good morning and make a cup of tea. She would even talk to Alyssa before heading back to her room ten minutes before breakfast was ready. Being in the kitchen with the whole gang gave her headaches. Second cup of tea in hand, she entered the kitchen just seconds after Jake.
One of the members approached her about an order but she waved him off. "I don't talk about business at meals, you know that. It ruins the relaxing atmosphere." This was not originally one of her rules but a rule that her dad had kept. As a woman, she kept to it out of habit.

Alyssa nodded as someone said morning. Most everyone was done, so she ended up starting to clean up. She didn't like messes; She would have to clean up this one. She started cleaning up plates others had used, without bothering to clean up after themselves. Though she guess she was used to it. She nodded to Jennifer as she passed by her, into the kitchen with a load of plates. She started washing the dishes, glancing around every now and then. She looked up through the window sometimes, though she would never really go outside. She shook her head, again trying to remember what else she was supposed to do.

Jake took a bite of his food and chewed it slowly. Yes, he did eat slow sometimes. As he ate, he stared down at the plate, before grabbing a cup of orange juice and gulping it down. He took another bite, and once again chewed it slowly. Jake easily ducked as something flew over his head. Something that happened pretty often. The gang was playing football in the house. Slowly, Jake turned his head over, giving them a dangerous glare. How many times have he told them not to throw around the ball in this crowded place. One hurried over, grabbing the ball and ran out the kitchen. With a small sigh, he continued to eat, wondering what the gang will be doing today.

Alistar yawned heavily as he laid face-down on his bed. He then preceded to literally roll out of bed and made a large thump on the ground. Of course, The top floor suite wasn't exactly a place that anyone could hear what was going on in. Standing up and walking over to the door, he grabbed the black shirt laying on the ground, his pants already on from going to bed in them. He palmed his face as he walked over to the elevator. "I swear, if that girl's voice gets any louder..." Walking inside and going down the floors, he leaned up against the wall while tapping his finger on it. The door opened to the main level and immediately a ball came flying at his face. Putting his hand up and catching it, he looked at the other guy's with an eyebrow cocked. "S-sorry 'bout that, Boss." The guy laughed nervously as Alistar threw the ball back. He walked over to the table and sat down at the head seat, grabbing a fork and quickly like he always does. His dad often told him he couldn't enjoy a meal if he scarfed it down in three minutes, but it was all the same to Alistar. He enjoyed it regardless of the time it took to eat. He looked up as he was half-way done to see there was only a few people still at the table.

Alyssa glanced back to where everyone else was eating. Well, now it looked like everyone was eating. Or had eaten, one of the two, anyway. Whoever had been playing football were gone, which she was glad for. She didn't need that ball flying over her head when she was trying to clean. She leaned against the wall, watching. As usual, the leader was eating as fast as he could. She shook her head. "...You're going to choke yourself one of these days, eating like that," she commented. She could never understand how anyone could eat that fast in the first place. She glanced around; nearly everyone was done eating, it looked like; just these few. She sighed. "Is everyone done with this food, then? Or should I leave it here a little longer?" she asked.
OOC Notes
Jake finally finished his breakfast and put his dishes away in the sink. It was just an old habit since he was young. After eating, he always had to put the dishes back in the sink. His father used to say having "manners" were always good. He strolled out of the kitchen, and into the main room, flopping himself down on the couch. He grabbed the remote and turned on some cartoon shows that little kids watch. It was just to annoy his members. Jake layed down on the couch, with one of his knees up, acting like he was actually enjoying the show. The others gave a funny look, and some complained they had to watch something and to change the channel. Jake ignored them, and instead, made the volume louder.

Jen sat back and let out a long relaxed sigh. She glanced around and stifled a giggle as she watched Alistar scarf down his food. "Psh, I don't think I've ever seen him choke on food." She laughed before getting up and pouring some more tea. She leaned against the counter and rubbed her neck with one hand as she took a sip. "Ah yes, well thank you for yet another delicious meal Alyssa." After thanking her like she did every morning, she headed back up to her room. She spent a lot of time there because it was where she kept all her paperwork and any recently received merchandise.

Alyssa nodded as Jen thanked her. "Sure; no problem." She glanced around. No...he hadn't ever choked...but she was sure it was likely to happen. That was a good portion of why she just stood there; there would end up being a few problems if the leader choked himself. The other part was she didn't know how much he would be eating, and was waiting to take careof any leftovers. Which didn't really look like much right then. She glanced at the tv, which Jake had turned. She grinned, shaking her head as she realized what was on...and that he was just trying to annoy the others. "So no one can decide what to watch?" she asked, tone joking.

Well, I'm conflicted. And what time period is this set in.... One character is using knives and a battle axe...while the other is using a .44 magnum....
