You can almost tell how innocent Lottie is, just by looking at her. She has big sky blue bambi eyes, that are usually the first things people notice about her. They are bright, and stand out against her ivory coloured skin. She has pale blonde waves, that spiral down to her elbows. Her skin looks perfectly even and untouched to most, but hiding benieth her clothing are brutal scars that mar her ribcage. She is very self conscious about her scars, and is always trying to completely cover them. She's quite petite, standing at a mere 5'1" and weighing in at 110lbs. She has a delicate frame and an hourglass frame, that she often shyly covers up. She isn't one to show off.

The Ups And Downs Of Me
{"I'm certainly not perfect."}

|Personality|
{Shy, Outgoing, Intelligent, Loving, Selfless}
Lottie is often known at the school sweetheart. She's quick to flash her shy smile, and often is quite easily flustered. She can be shy meeting strangers, especially in large groups, but she warms up quickly. She is generally very polite, and just has a way of making everyone feel special. Perhaps it's her easygoing nature or her gentle demeanor, but her presence generally is very soothing. She holds herself like a lady, although as she gets comfortable she's quick to let out a witty remark. She is very kind, even to perfect strangers. Even though at first she may seem a little reserved, she would be the first person to give you the shirt off her back. She will happily give, and ask for nothing in return. She is often viewed as being quite noble, although she would never be a snob about it. She just wants to make people happy, is all. Although this isn't always a good thing- she really doesn't know how to tell people 'no' and will essentially let them walk all over her. Yet still, she will smile at them and offer them just the same warm, maternal affection that she does every other person. She is hard to upset, and seems to be able to take anything in stride. She seems to have a kind thing to say about everyone, and is definitely someone to come to if you needed to talk of just vent. She would listen for hours, with no judgments or a single cruel thought. In her friend group, she is often called 'the moral one'.
But when Lottie is with Derek, Marius, Lucas, or (Girl 5) she is much more open and bright. She loves to tease them, and engage them in witty banter. She enjoys pushing their buttons, but would never go far enough to actually hurt them. She just loves making them smile. She shows them the same affection that she does to everyone else, although with them it is more intense but not overbearing or suffocating. After all, she loves them both with all her heart- although obviously in completely different ways. She would do anything for either of them, and is quick to remind them just how much she loves them. With Marius, she if often like a mother to him even though he is older than her. Since he often tries to suppress him emotions, she is often the only one who can coax them out with little to no effort. But with Derek, she is head over heels in love with him. She loves and accepts every part of him- she would never ask him to change for her. She is very tender towards him, and although she loves to push his buttons if he told her to do something she wouldn't think twice. She trusts him completely. She does not tolerate people trying to break them up, or start things between them. She definitely isn't one to pick a fight or hurt someone, but she won't hesitate to put Marius in his place if he dares speak ill of Derek.
As many are quick to notice, Lottie is also very intelligent. She remembers things very easily and figures difficult things out with ease. She picks up on little things that other would overlook, and once she is on a problem she won't give it up until she's figured out every little detail. Once she's absorbed in something, she throws everything that she has into it. She loves challenging puzzles, and really anything that stimulates her intellectually.

|Habits & Oddities|
-She is double jointed in her hips, knees, elbows, shoulder blades, wrists, and fingers. She can basically bend herself in ways that most humans really can't. She calls them her 'party tricks'
-She has horrible night terror, and every now and then will relive her parent's deaths over in her sleep
-When she is unsure of nervous, she will often bite her bottom lip
-She is left handed
-Ever since she was little, she's always had a habit of snuggling up beside someone she loves, just intending to talk, read, or even just sit there but she always ends up falling asleep on them if they are doing their own thing

|History|
Charlotte Beatrice Damron was born in a wealthy British town. Her father was a wealthy, yet down to earth man from a very wealthy family. Her mother was one of the most well-known ballerinas in the nation. They were madly in love when they married, and had Marius. Their love never faded in the slightest. They raised their children right, and did their best to expose them to other social classes at their equals, sure to stress that they were not above anybody. This gave both of their children a sense of humility. They also grew up next to an equestrian farm. Even as a child, Charlotte would go over and interact with the horses as much as she could. She always seemed to have a way with them. Marius would often tag along, mostly to make sure she was safe. Although he could barely watch as she would fly by on a beat that could easily break her spine with little to no effort. By the time she was eight, she was part of their elite riding team. She had grown quite close to the woman who ran the farm, who had taken a real liking to Lottie and Marius. Whenever they were upset or needed to talk, they would go to her. She was always like a second mother to them.
Their house was always so full of love. Sure, Marius an Lottie would play fight and argue like siblings and sometimes their parents would get frustrated but they did an amazing job raising their children. Sure, they were privileged but those kids had to work. If they wanted something, they had to earn it. But you would never find a family that was so close knit and loving. They couldn't see it at the time, but Marius and Lottie pretty much had a dream life. They had everything going to them.

But one day, that all changed. In just one second, it was all gone forever. Lottie's parents had been driving her to a riding competition. She was quietly reading in the back, while her parents affectionatly spoke to each other. You could just hear the love that they had for one another in their voices. She was so at peace. But out of nowhere, a car crashed into them head-on. She didn't know at the time, but the other driver was drunk. Her parents were both killed on impact and her body was a wreck. She had a collapsed lung, and her body was covered in gashes and bits of glass. Her ribcage had essentially been crushed. She was in intensive care, and her chances of survival were very slim. Her brother, only fourteen, spent every waking hour by her side. Although he would probably deny it now if you asked, he was sobbing violently pretty much the whole time. He lost both of his parents, and now he was going to lose his little sister. Sweet, innocent little Lottie. Why would this happen to them?! He gave her blood transfusions and she was in the hospital for months, but Charlotte survived.
The siblings pleaded to be placed with the older woman that they had bonded with, the owner of the horse farm that they had pretty much grown up on, but they were forced to move to America to live with their aunt from their mother's side. She lived on some isolated island, and neither of the children had been to America for long than a week but now they were being forced to live there. Their aunt took one look at them, and turned her nose up at them. "Pretty little things, just like your mother. You won't have to work a day of your life- everything will just be handed to you on a silver platter." She pretty much spat at them, looking rather disgusted. For the four years that they lived with her, it was filled with a lot of fighting and anxiety. Their aunt seemed to hate them- simply because she was bitter at her sister for the easy life that she had lived. They were never really given time to grieve- they were forced to shove it all down and live in a house where they were absolutely hated. Marius and Lottie grew even closer, and Marius grew impossibly protective of his little sister. She was all he had left, and there was not way and hell that anyone was taking her away from him. As soon as he turned eighteen, he was granted custody of her and they moved out together.
Lottie always got perfect grades, and had no trouble finding a job with horses when she moved. She joined the orchestra on cello, and really did her best to really get involved in her school. She wanted to get into a good collage, and really do something important with her life. She because best friends with Lucas almost immediately, due to their similar personalities. Once she befriended him, (Girl 5) just sort of came along as a package deal. The three became inseparable, and (other than Marius and her aunt) they were the only ones that knew her entire past. Sure, people knew that she was from Britain from her heavy accent but other than that nobody really knew much about her. When her teacher pushed her to tutor Derek, she was quite hesitant. She was doing to well- and he had trouble written all over him. She didn't like to judge, but when she first started tutoring him she half expected him to try to start something with her or sell her drugs or something. But he was... just a person like her. In fact, he was better than her. He had a heart of gold, he just didn't show it to everyone. She fell for his smile, and the way he talked when he put down his mask. When she saw the real him, she couldn't help but fall in love.

"If I Fell"|| Evan Rachel Wood
If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
Cos I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
I must be sure
From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
Cos I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
Cos I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
If I fell in love with you

So begins...

ImageFor some reason or another he hadn't been able to sleep for the past couple of months, which really sucked. He could feel the tiredness of his eye bags, he didn't have to see them to know they were purple and blue shades. He knew if anyone saw them they'd freak and ask what was wrong, so he had been covering them with concealer her borrowed, without asking, from his mom. He was so tried and ready to just fall asleep, to doze off until a world that wasn't real, but lately that hadn't been working for him. Every night he tried keeping himself entertained by doing things likes reading, watching T.V., dancing, and just other pass times that made him forget about the fact he needed some sleep; at the moment he just watched the ceiling. He felt slightly lonely, but it's not like he could just call someone up at three in the morning, that thought had already crossed his mind and he had decided it wasn't the best idea. Most of his friends normally didn't rise until around two in the afternoon, meaning his loneliness might stretch longer then he wished.

"Ok, this is enough of silence!" Finally growing tired of the loneliness, he sat up and let his feet touch the warm white carpet. He's room wasn't very grand, in fact it was very simple. The bed was barely big enough to fit two people in and was pushed up against the right wall next to the door, the same wall was covered of pictures of so many things that Axel had taken, on the opposite wall there were random black and white poster of old famous stars and more pictures he had taken, there was also a keyboard in front of the window (which he was trying to teach himself to play); the view from the window was beautiful. Outside the window was nothing but soft moon light casting gentle shadows across tree tops and floating on the pond in his backyard. In the summer he'd swim in the pond with his friends, the closet thing to a lake he had ever seen since there were none on the island. In fact Axel lived out in a small area of woods with his brother.

Once he was completely up on his feet he walked over to the wooden door, pulled the golden nob, and then made his way down the hardwood floor. He only took about ten steps before reaching his destination and stopping in front of another wooden door. Raising a clenched fist, he hit the door before opening it himself. As soon as he entered the room he was attacked by coolness of the early morn, he immediately got cold chills all over his body. "Why the heck do you insist on sleeping out here? You're going to catch your death!" His voice was barely below a yell as he called to his brother, who for whatever reason thought it was okay to sleep in the screened-in patio during such cool mornings, and even sometimes during the winter. It was cold to Axel, but he knew his brother was probably finding warmth from the fact he was lying on a bed that he had drug in himself years ago and was bundled in a cocoon of covers.

"Why the heck did you come in here? I need my beauty rest!" Before Axel had time to react his brother had already brought his arm back and threw a pillow towards Axel's face. When it hit him it didn't hurt at all, it was the most comfortable thing ever either, but at least there was no pain. The pillow fell to the ground followed by his glasses. "If you had broken those I would have made you buy me new ones." "Like hell I would. Can't you go bother someone else?" He watched his brother flop around in the bed before quickly falling back to sleep. Thanks for the heart warming conversation. As the thought faded, wit the feeling of defeat he sighed and left the room shutting the door behind him.

Knock! Knock!

"Who the fuck could that be?" The groan from his brother's room only made him laugh as he walked through all the twist and turns to make his way to the living room to the door. Normal people probably would have thought it was crazy he was about to open the door at three in the morning without any weapon, but of course on the island everyone knew each other so there was no need to fear anything.

Opening the door he was kind of shocked to find a girl wearing a black leather jacket with silver studs. The outfit was sexy in it's own right: a black loose shirt, skin hugging black ripped tights, black combat boots, and in her cotton candy pink hair was a homemade crown of sunflowers, which really showed the girls personality. "I hope I didn't wake you." A warm smile grew across her face as she brought Axel into a comfortable hug. She was in most ways perfect, from her personality to her appearance, Axel cared greatly about her, in fact he viewed her like a little sister. "You're always welcome here, Barbie, and you already know that." Before he even got the chance to finish his sentence Barbie had made her way to the couch and stared at the suitcase that laid in front of it. "You're taking another trip." Without words he just nodded his head to her statement. The tiny girl giggled as she began to step inside the case and crouch down in it. "Well this time you have to take me too!" Watching her only brought a smile to his face. "I would invite you, but we only bought three plane tickets-" "I know, I know, you're going to invite Marius to go with you, though you haven't yet." At this statement Axel bit his bottom lip. He was nervous to ask his best friend to go on a trip with him, though the two had gone on vacations with each other before this time was different. Not to long ago when the two boys had been drunk they had shared a kiss, he wasn't even sure if Marius even remembered it. "In fact..." Before he had time to react Barbie had popped up and taken his phone from him. Dialing some number she put the phone up to her ear. "Who are you calling." "Marius of course, if you can't ask him I will for you." His heart raced as he tried to prior the phone from her, but she was to fast and began to run.

***

The phone rang around three times and she wasn't sure if it had been answered or not, so she just began to speak. "Hey, Marius, this is Barbie, and Axel was wondering if you wanted to-" Stopping mid-sentence Axel had caught up to her when they had reached his room and hung the phone up. "I didn't get to finish!" Frowning at his actions, she just pulled her phone out and held a finger up to him when she noticed he had flinched. "Hey, Jessica, I Imagelove you and we should hang out later, bye love you." Barbie didn't give her girlfriend much time to reply or even pick up, for all she knew she just caught the answering machine again. "That was extremely brief." With a flimsy smile she yawned, and that made Axel yawn as well.

She didn't say another word, but instead laid down on his bed and quickly drifted off to sleep. Axel smiled at her and covered her up with his blankets, happy that his loneliness was gone. Watching her he decided to curl up next to her and hold her in his arms, though he wasn't tired, he just laid next to her in silence with his eyes shut.

Charlotte slept soundly beside Derek, in the most comfortable position she could possibly be in. She was nestled against his chest, and his arm was draped over her, holding her to him. A soft noise caused her eyes to flutter open, but Derek's even breathing and steady heartbeat lulled her back into a half-asleep state. Nobody could make her feel quite as safe as he could. She laced her fingers with his, and felt no desire to move from their warm embrace. A slightly louder noise caused Lottie to wake up completely. She glanced at the door, blinking against the bright morning sun. She yawned and looked at her alarm clock. The alarm was off, and it was a half of an hour later than when she had intended to wake up. By this time, Marius would already be awake. That would be the noises she was hearing. She let go of Derek's hand, and quickly sat up. She rubbed her eyes, realizing their situation. "Derek!" She whispered urgently and softly rolled him onto his back to wake him up. "Marius is up. If he sees you, we're both dead. Although at least he won't maim me." She teased him, smiling lightly.
There was a soft rap at the door, and Lottie's gentle blue eyes widened. "I'm not decent!!" She called quickly. "Alright. I just wanted to make sure you were still alive, usually you're up before me." Marius answered, with a light laugh. Lottie relaxed slightly when she heard him walk away. She untangled herself from Derek reluctantly. She quickly got dressed, and peeked out the door forca second before quickly closing the door. "So..." she murmured, sitting down next to Derek and smiling at him softly. "How are we going to sneak you out without Marius catching you. Or Bear, for that matter."

“Oh God… he’s going to slaughter me!” Lottie bit her lip and glanced at the door, listening for Marius. If he found out Derek was here he would murder him and never let her out of his sight.
She turned her head, to watch Derek gather his things. He plopped down next to her with a devilish smirk, and she smiled brightly at him. He had left his bag and she knew where he was going with that. “You can drop that off later. It’ll give you an excuse to come over.” Lottie grinned and laughed lightly. "I'll take any excuse to come see you."

He winked and leaned towards her, twisting his body towards her. As he leaned in closer, she felt her heart race. Her lips parted slightly, and she inhaled quickly. Her eyes fluttered closed and she leaned towards him in anticipation. When he finally kissed her tenderly, her heart fluttered. She melted under his touch, her thigh warm under his hand. She laced her fingers through his hair, intoxicated by him. She leaned in closer, but they were cut off by a vibration in his pocket.

Derek and Lottie both jumped, and narrowly avoided accidentally biting each other's lip. She chuckled, and he rubbed the back of his neck and flashed her a brilliant smile that made her heart skip a beat. She smiled back, as he spoke to her. “Heh… sorry about that.” He pulled out his phone, and Lottie rested her head on his shoulder. He texted back whoever had messaged him, and she pouted slightly as he stood up and stretched.

“Now, how to get out of here… there’s always the window.” He gestured over to the open window, and her eyes warily looked over at it. "Well, I wouldn't want you damaging that pretty face of yours. It is the only reason I like you, after all." She teased, grinning at him and cuddling up beside him. “You could go downstairs and distract Marius. You know, come up with a reason to move him to the other side of the house. I’ll only need a few seconds. As soon as I turn the corner, I’ll be fine.” She nodded in agreement. That should work. If he hears anything or gets suspicious, I'll just trip or fall down the stairs or something o get his attention. You should be fine."

She rested her head on his shoulder, relishing the last few moments they had together. "Once i'm looking presentable i'll come by and 'bring you your bag'." She grinned at him, with a wink. "I'll see what Luke is doing today, too. We should do something fun to embrace summer, now that it's finally here." She looked up at him with her gentle blue eyes, smiling softly. He had the most beautiful eyes, that never failed to make her heart skip a beat.
