Race: Shapesifter
Age: 29
Gender: Male

It's not as if Larif dislikes people, it's just that he'd rather not get caught up in all the problems they cause. It was early morning. The autumn air was chilly, the sun was slowly raising up and slight mist covered the ground. It would be cold day, the clouds covered the sky. Shena was in her backyard sparring like she did almost every morning. She stroke and sliced a wooden dummy that stood there with her spear. The were several other dummies, that were now pile of firewood, in one corner of her yard. Quickly she moved around it, her footwork was accurate, there was no missteps. Shena strike it again, slice of wood flew around the yard. And she would continue doing it until the sun was up.

Re' nura just woke up before sunlight's cruel spikes of lightray would blind him, he hated the sunlight right after waking up. Re' nura got up and did his morning chores just like every day. He took some leftover meat from previous day and went outside. "Yo Shena! Want some meat? I have some extra so we can share if you want!" Re' nura jumped over the fence that is between Shena's and Kastrar's houses, and lit little bit of firewood with pointing of a finger. "Ahh.. nothing beats meat in the morning!"

”Morning Re' nura, and sure” Shena answered and stroke her spear through the dummy. She then pulled it of and walked over him, leaning against fence. ”I might have more firewood than I even need” she said watching the pile. "Ye hahahah that is probably right! I could take some if you don't mind." Re' nura started to heat up the meat.

"Go ahead. And I'm going to hunting today. Do you want to come with me? Let's find out which one of us kills the bigger moose" Shena said smirking. She always liked challenge others. "Hahah I can come but I ain't gonna go for that challenge. We know how it's gonna end!" Re' nura laughed and shook his head.

The water was still. The trees were slowly moving in the breeze, for now the forest was quiet, all was calm. Over time the human population grew, many believed it would disrupt the calm nature of the region, but like all other things, a balance was found, at least for now, creatures of all walks of life were undisturbed, and humans were none the wiser.
A ripple in the water disrupted the bubble of calm that had been created, a bird flew from a branch, a rabbit bounded away to it's burrow and Larif Keergire growled. Much like life, Larif became annoyed when the calm was interrupted and he very much liked things to stay as they were.

He leapt from the branch he was perched on and dived head first into the river. He had been hunting, but he wanted to keep the equilibrium for as long as he could before he was forced to change it. The blur that he had become broke the water's surface and it splashed over the bank, he was gone, and the ripples began to die down. What emerged however was no man, simply an otter, clutching a struggling fish in it's mouth. The otter jumped up the bank and continued away from the river, then deeper into the forest shaking the water off of it's fur. When the fish had stopped moving the otter stood up on it's hind legs and dropped the fish from it's mouth, it was caught by a hand, a human hand, that was now in the place of where the otter's paw should have been. The rest of the otter then transformed into a human that stood up where it had been crouching.

Larif Keergire was a shapeshifter, a race of people that could transform into a number of different animals at will, a skill which he had just utilised as he always did. His main transformation however was that of a goat, giving his human form many goat-like features. The fish he had caught was wrapped in cloth and placed in a pouch that was strung around his bare torso. "Good" he muttered, "should go well with the other ingredients I got today". Content that his survival in the way of sustenance was ensured, he headed off towards the nearby town Veraloia. Although the bustle of a populated town wasn't something he necessarily enjoyed, he visited there often to find solace in the fact that he wasn't the only one who disrupted the calm.

Once again, things were as they should be, the birds flew back to their perches, the trees regained the constant flow of the wind. And the water remained still.

Travis saw as the Cerberus left his home and he sighed. Then there was a bit of a chuckle under his breath and he muttered, "I'm so glad that they bought the nice guy act. In all honest words, Travis didn't care about anyone but himself. He never would have thought that his deception has improved since the last time he visited the forest. The last time he had to pull himself out of a bind was when he last did a job over at the Overira Mountains. He had gotten a good bit of gold from that place, seeing that a small cave filled with treasure just begging from him to steal had to be guarded by a band of tieflings. Those men were enemies to him now, even though he did work with a couple of them at one point, it was only a truce.

As the sun began to set on the day that he was destined to hide from, he finally thought to himself that there was enough time to get to the town of Tivel by nightfall. He had heard that there was a man by the name of Larif that was yet another shapeshifter of the open forest of Tidenor. Travis grabbed his things once again, pulled his mask upward and made his way out through the forest once more. The map he was carrying lead him to a nearby stream, flowing towards the direction of the lake. He was heading on the right track, but he had tuckered himself out trying to get his way there. He climbed the nearest tree, rested against it and sighed, waiting for the moon to show itself.

But almost as soon as he had gotten into the tree, there was movement near the bushes on the other side of the river. It was a man heading towards his camp a few feet away from the stream when all of a sudden, his eyes met with Travis'. Travis tried to stay as still as possible, making sure that the shade was covering himself well. All he could do was to stay as fluid as the tree he was sitting on. He stared into the shapeshifter's eyes and waited for a reaction.

Turn. Walk away, keep going.

When he was sure he was safe, Larif let out a secure sigh. What the hell was that! All he'd seen was a figure, could it be someone after him? Maybe it was a rather evil and vicious creature simply looking for it's next meal. No, it looked like a person, but why would they be watching him like that?

Unless, no. They couldn't have been a human. No chance.

If so, the forest was in grave danger. It didn't matter at the moment though, whatever it was, Larif was glad he was away from it, although one thought rattled around his mind and wouldn't stop struggling. What if it was human and decided it was going to find something bigger and better than him, he didn't like what would happen to the forest or the other people if a human were to expose what they had built here.

That was it then, he knew which way the figure had gone, towards the pond. Larif was going to follow it.
He thought that through in his head once more. Follow it... Follow it! No use, his legs just wouldn't move, despite his will to do good, he was simply too scared to get into danger like that. Okay, how about some more fish? His leg moved this time, and the other one, and again. Before he knew it Larif Keergire was walking towards danger, much to his continued dismay.

Making it to the row of trees towards lake edge, he transformed once again, this time to his goat form to avoid any unwanted attention. Bones cracked, fur emerged and he hunched. An unpleasant process for a first timer, but shapeshifters become accustomed to it as they grow up, making it appear somewhat effortless. His goat nestled itself in the bushes, watching any activity intently, shivering out of nervousness all the while.

"Hmm.. what should we do?" asked Re' nura silently. "It's a good question. Do you want to go meet that dwarf? Some more information wouldn't hurt." Shena answered.

They started walking towards the pond to replenish their water supply and to look out what was going to be on menu that day. Shena was observing bushes further away from them. They moved a bit and it seemed there was some animal. It was too far away for Shena to tell exactly what it was, but it was smaller than moose for sure. Well, dinner was always a dinner.

As they were replenishing water supply Re'nura noticed a fox-girl with long black hair walking by the pond closer and closer. "Hmm.. look at there but act that you didn't notice" Re' nura kicked air in the way of approaching woman to signal where to find that mysterious humanoid seen. Shena glanced over the direction casually, like she would just thinking where to head next. Then she looked back to the bushes and took her spear in her hand casually leaning to it, just in case. She wanted to be ready if someone attacked.

Travis stared at the activity going on across the body of water and almost jumped whenever he saw the fox girl. He tilted his head, trying to comprehend where he must have seen the creature before. The black hair almost looked of the mane of the black horse who warned the Cerberus earlier. Realizing that it was the same thing, Travis gritted his teeth seeing the Valkryie coming closer. The casual looking around the area, the creature was playing it off as if she knows where to go next. Travis knew that this was the time to act.

Suddenly his armor shuttered once, twice, and then all of the person in the body became a translucent male. Time slowed as he quickly his dagger into his hand and slid out of the bushes. His crouching and worried stepping was slow at first, but he picked up pace just as the Valkyrie got there. Travis briefly slid behind the tree, holding his breath and gripping his dagger close to his chest. There wasn't anything more that Travis hated than to be found in his camouflage. These creatures were obviously much more attentive than of the average human, and for that, Travis didn't know them as well as a human. He might as sure as well die in this forest, but he's not going to go out like this. Travis, silky like a screen, ran into the forest at a quick pace, heading south bound as he sprinted.
