The alarm clock started screeching loudly. A cream-colored hand reached out from under the duvet, and smacked the space next to it, then the other side, before finally hitting the snooze button. Robyn West sat up with a sigh, stretching hard. All six arms reached up to the ceiling, then relaxed. She looked around her room, then jamp out of bed smoothly, grabbing up a shirt and a pair of trousers. She went into the bathroom, humming lightly, and washed. She looked in the mirror, and ran two arms through her hair, pulling it into a ponytail with two arms, brushing her teeth with another arm, and buttoning up her shirt with two more. Her sixth arm was busy rooting around in a small basket for her mascara. Finally stepping out the bathroom she slipped on a pair of sneakers, grabbed her satchel and walked into the kitchen.

"Hey Dad." she said, pouring herself a cup of coffee and waving at him absentmindedly. He looked up from his own coffee.
"Hey honey. What's with the getup?"
"Uh, School, Dad."
"Ah, shit. I'm sorry, Bobbi."
"S'okay." she said, downing the last of the coffee. She smiled at him, gave him a brief three-armed hug, and walked out. She pulled on her biker jacket. It was 45 degree heat, and the jacket could be uncomfortable, but it hid her extra arms. Which saved her the trouble that driving through the small town she lived next to caused. In the last town they had lived in, it had been a game to throw stones at her and try to hit her arms. It had been okay, she could cvatch them all, but when they started throwing glass, that hurt. So she wore the jacket until she got within the boundaries of the school. Once she got there, it was okay to take off her coat and walk around looking like a Hindu goddess.

She pulled into the parking lot, cutting off the roaring motorbike engine with a click and walking over to where her best friend, Lorraine Sanchez stood grinning. Lorraine was a shapeshifter, sort of. She had split personality syndrome, which tied into her freakishness. It wasn't just her personality that changed, it was her entire body.

Marina hummed gently as she lowered her head into the water in her bath-tub. She closed her eyes enjoying the flowing motions in the water around her completely as she relaxed. Her wings were flapping lightly making the water almost alive and move in wave-like motions. She smiled and slowly opened her eyes to check the time to ensure she wouldn't be late. She realised her time in the tub was up and got out. She drained the tub and left the bathroom entering her room which was directly connected to the bathroom. Marina was happy her parents had given her her own personal bathroom so she could use it and also train her abillities without blocking the bathroom for the entire family. She dried off her body still humming and got dressed and moved on to comb her long, black hair. She smiled at her reflection as she styled her hait into the asian-style hair.

Marina exited her room after getting dressed, packing her bag and putting on a light water-proof layer of make-up. She smiled at her parents while she ate her breakfast consisting of boiled sea-grass, small pieces of sausage and a vitamin cube dissolved into a glass of water. Marina ate in silence and washed her plate using her powers after she was done. Before she left the house she fed the fish in the aquarium and made sure there was charcoal in the filter. Marina folded her wings so they rested towards her back and pulled her long coat on gently, so she wouldn't damage her wings. She left the house and a few minutes later she arrived at the school. She smiled and nodded at Robyn and Lorraine a a hello and figured they wanted to talk with each other. Marina usually didn't go over to people to talk at her own initiative. She always figured if people wanted to talk to her they would come over and say hi.

"Yo, Marina!" Robyn waved one arm, with the others crossed in their respective pairs. Her and Lorraine went over. Lorraine suddenly slapped herself in the forehead. "I've gotta go find someone, 'kay?"
Robyn shrugged. "Sure." Lorraine ran off, and she turned back to Marina. "How were the holidays?" she asked.

Marina turned her head looking at Robyn and Lorraine. She smiled and waved gently while they went over to her. Marina nodded at Lorraine leaving. "See you later then" she said before the shape-shifter ran off. She then looked at Robyn.

"How were the holidays?" Robyn asked after turning to her. Marina smiled gengtly. "They were wonderful" she said. "I was at an island with few people, so I could be near water. I even took a night flight under the full moon" she said and tok off her coat so she could stretch her wings. "Nevada really isn't the place for me... Not that many lakes, you know... Lake Mead is the closest and there are so many tourists there" she said. "Though I think I could fit in in Vegas, don't you?" she lauhed nervously not sure how her joke would be recieved. "How were your holidays?"

Robyn laughed. "They were crappy! Dad made me go stay with this summer camp to 'improve my social skills!' I had to keep my arms folded under my jacket!" she rolled her eyes. "Hey, I know a guy from Vegas." she said.

Marina smiled gently. "Well, at least you're home now and you can have your arms out freely again. I mean... people from our school aren't meant for social activity with humans. Not yet at least" she said and fluttered her wings nervously. "A guy? Wauw... I guess there's no hope for me then. I mean 6 arms is an asset for sure, but wings and water-bending. Guys don't want that at all" Marina said and smiled while looking down. "But afterall there's no place like home, right?" she continued and smiled brightly. "And this place is our home afterall" she said and looked around. "So, Robyn, Any term plans? Anything you want to accomplis this year? I am personally hoping to finally be able to control more than 7 waterballs at the same time, plus I really need to study harder in math... My mom freaked at my grades last year and I'll be grounded if I don't improve and I'm risking my mom will cut the water to my bath-tub so that means no practicing my bending and I won't reach my only other goal this year which would suck" the young water fairy said in a hurry because she got anxious before she looked up into the sky and blinked a few times. She then looked back at Robyn and smiled "What were we talking about? Oh right goals. What are yours for this year?" Marina asked and fluttered her wings again while looking at her 6-armed friend.

Jason sighed as he looked from wall to wall at the school that he stood before. "Well, here goes nothing" he muttered to himself as he slowly walked through the door. It was Jason's first day of school since he transferred from his old home in Las Vegas. While living in Vegas life, Jason became acquainted with many celebrities and often times was given some TV time for his abilities in pyromancy (fire magic). As he entered the building, he noticed two girls conversing, one of the girls possessing six arms, the other girl having what appeared to be wings popping out from her back. It wasn't natural, but Jason found them to be quite attractive. As his eyes were fixated on the winged girl, he had no idea he was walking near a set of stairs and ended up falling down the stairs. Luckily for his sake, there were only about 8 stairs, so it wasn't much of a fall, but it still hurt. He just laid there, face-first on the floor, his hands now hidden in flames.

(Sorry if I intervened, but I thought it'd be a good twist of events if the only guy in the school had a thing for Marina. I hope that's ok with everyone o.o Oh, and sorry about the lateness of this intro post. I thought I could play as 2 characters, but I barely got past the writer's block to write this post lol )

Marina heard the sound of someone falling and looked to the stairs. "Oh darn" she said before rushing to the boys side. "Are you okay? You didn't gt hurt, did you? Are you able to stand?" she asked in a hurry while looking at the guy. She suddenly noticed his flaming hands. "Your hands... is this your unique part?" she asked still worried. "I hope it is, otherwise you have somewhat of a problem" she said and scooted away a bit mostlyo not accidently try to put out the fire with her water powers. Marina fluttered her wings nervously. "I'm Marina... You're new, right? Oh I really hope you didn't get hurt. It sounded like a terrible fall" she continued to blabber on about absolutely nothing while checking to see if the stranger waas hurt before she looked over towards Robyn. "Robyn, hurry... there's a new student here that fell down the stairs" she practically yelled so the entire hall heard her.

Jason slowly lifted his head, shaking it a bit as he turned to Marina. Startled a bit, he quickly turned over and tried to get up, but realized that he twisted his ankle from the fall. He fell back down and managed to scoot himself over out of the hallway against the wall, laying his head back on the wall. It wasn't but a few seconds later that he actually recalled what she was asking. "I guess I'm not as agile as they say I am...." he said to her, chuckling a bit as to lighten the mood as he gently brushed his hair from his eyes, unaware of the red liquid on his hand. He then heard her ask about his hands. "Oh. Yup, that's my specialty. I can summon, wield, manipulate, and control fire" he said, trying to keep his words soft and sweet to save his breath. He was having a hard time breathing, as he placed his other hand on his chest. "I'm Jason by the way..." he managed to mutter as he closed his eyes and leaned back against the wall.

Robyn did what robyn did best. She legged it towards the scene of the accident, and knelt down next to the guy. "C'mon, buddy, open youir eyes," she said, slapping his face lightly.
"That's better. Now you'd better keep 'em open, capiche?" she grinned, and started gently pressing her hands to specific places. First the ankle.
"Right, buddy. You're really somethin', aincha?" she chuckled, staring into space as she focused on her hands. "Okay, we got, from the feel of it, a fairly bad sprain. Aw, shit.... Hey! Evra!" she directed the yell to a guy walking past with green, scaly skin and back hair.
"Yup?"
"Get that fine ass of yours down to Medical! Bring me back an Ace Bandage!" she said, and he nodded, jogging down the hall.
"Marina?" she asked. "I need you water. As cold as you can get it before it turns to ice, 'kay? then wrap it around his ankle. but ddon't get it wet." she said, moving on to his chest.
"You still with me, pal?" she asked the boy. "You've banged your chest pretty bad, mate. Okay, I don't think I can heal this from the outside. Breath with me. In through your nose, out through your mouth. C'mon, man." she saaid, trying the think. Evra skidded next to her, holding the bandage right in front of her face. It was black. with red skulls on.
"Dude, you have to make an entrance, don' ya!" she said, shaking her head and taking the bandage, wrapping it around the guys ankle to provide compression. "Keep that water cold, Marina." A first year walked up with a camera.
"Kid, I can grow back any body part and I could kick your ass while reciting Anna Karenina in Spanish. Wanna take a picture?" she said threateningly. He shook his head, and ran off.
"why do you do that?" Evra asked her.
"Shut up, you know you love it." she said. She looked at Jason again.
"Kid, I need you to do something, okay?" she asked. She held one arm in front of him. "Set it on fire. c'mon, you can do it,. pal." she said, waiting for the burning sensation to appear.

Marina watched as Robyn worked with the new student. She stepped into the background and sighed gently. Robyn was very natural around others. Always herself and didn't really care about what people thought. Marina admired that even if Robyn could take it too far sometimes it was always okay because it was just her personallity. Marina fluttered her wings after hearing Robyns request. She nodded silently and stretched her arm out towards the small drinking fountain by the library. She narrowed her eyes and looked very serious almost glaring at the fountain as she synchronized herself with the water. Slowly but surely she mixed with the water and pulled it out of the pipes in the wall and undrground. She ebnt the water with both hands and gathered it all into a ball between her hands while curious students looked at her. It was rare she displayed her powers but at the moment they had an emergency going on. After the water had gone down to just about freezing point Marina allowed it to wrap around the new students lower leg while Evra delivered some bandages. Marina didn't really notice much around her while bending. It wa´s all about her and her control of the shifting fluid that flowed around uncontrollably. That's why she had to concentrate as much as she did. Even a small amount of water was extremely hard to control and she was still a bit new to the whole water bending gift. That's why she practized as much as she did at home. To improve and have her power under control so she one day could help those in need with water related problems.

Jason just sat there, keeping his eyes open, trying to get a word in, but stopped as the 6-armed girl kept saying one thing after another. His eyes focused back on the girl with wings as she began to focus on the water fountain. What is she doing?, he thought to himself. Then, without warning, the water came out of the fountain and she began gathering it into a ball. After that, she began to wrap the freezing water around his leg, making him blush a tiny bit. "T..Thanks" he whispered to the fairy girl, also nodding to the 6-haired girl. "I should probably get going to class though" he said as he tried to stand up again.

"You can stop now, Marina. I reckon it's numb enough now. Here, kid." she said, helping him to his feet with two right arms around his waist. "Don't put any weight on it. seriously." she stopped talking as two crutches appeared right in front of her face. She looked to see a grinning Evra.
"Smartass"
"You know you love it." he mimicked her. She shot him a dirty look, and gave the kid the crutches. She walked away once he had his bearings, and was instantly grabbed around the waist and lifted up by Evra. She squealed loudly, slapping at his foreams. "Let me down, snake-boy!" she yelled through her laughing.
"Me tarzan, you jane!" he laughed, and carried her into Music class.

Marina bent the water again removing it from the new students leg and made it drop nicely into the fountain so it could freely run down the drains and enter the sewage system. She sighed and still stayed in the background as Robyn kept talking and finished up everything. Evra made some crutches for the student before abducting Robyn to their class. Marina smiled. "So... errm..." Marina's eyes flickered as she tried to think about something to say. "Errm... where is your first class?" she asked and punched herself mentally. "I mean... I could show you the way..." she blushed a bit and looked down. "I mean... I don't mean to bother you or anything but you're new and all... so... if you need it I can help... I mean, if you want it of course" Marina's voice died out a bit as her shy nature came out. She hated herself when she was like this. Her speaking was clumsey, her habit with fidling ith her clothes and the irregular fluttering of her wings made her wish she would fall into a hole or just fly away. But this was school and she couldn't just leave after speaking. That would be very rude especially since she had asked the boy a question.

Jason turned and pulled a small sheet of paper out of his bookbag and read over it. "I'm supposed to be at Math right now" he said, reading over his schedule. "Well, we should probably get going..." he said as he set the crutches against the wall and began walking towards his class, then turning back to Marina, noticing the disbelief on her face. "Are you coming?" he asked.

( Just to summarize, Jason was pretending to be hurt to spend some alone time with Marina :D lol please let me know though if you want me to change it. Also, my apologies for my posts being so short lately. I've just had no time to actually put much detail into my posts, but I'll try working on it soon :/ )

Marina looked up at the new student as he put away his crutches and asked if she was coming. "Don't you need those?" she asked as he displayed a good walk. She looked down and sighed ~Way to go, Marina. Now you look really intelligent~ she thought as the student told her he had math now. "Oh... I think you're in my class then... erm... Come on" she said and caught up to him. "I'm Marina, by the way" she said in a shaky voice. "Oh and em..." Marina blushed. "Welcome to Freakshow High" she said and fluttered her wings nervously. She entered the math class and found 2 available seats. "Well... this is class" Marina said kicking herself mentally. ~Of course it's class, dimwit. Even the blind woul b able to see this was class~ Marina looked down and blushed. "Sorry... Maybe I should stop talkig... I'm not making sense again" she said in a voice that got more and more faint by every word until it completly died out.

Jason smiled a bit as Marina nervously spoke to him. "I faked being crucially hurt so I could talk more with you" he whispered to her as he passed by her and walked into class, noticing that she walked up beside him". She then started blushing some more and said that she should stop talking. Jason nudged her slightly. "Oh come on, don't worry. You're perfect" he said, as he blushed a bit, then walked over to his seat and sat down, tapping to the seat open next to him for Marina to sit next to him.

Marina fluttered her wings very nervously as Jason whispered in her ear. The air from his mouth being blown into her ear tickled a bit but only a b it. She looked at Jason and smiled as he tapped his seat next to him. She walked over and before sitting down she folded her wings. "School demand" she said with an apologetic expression on her face. "They block the view to the blackboard, so they want me to fold them during class" she explained. "So... It's Jason, right? How long have you been F'ed?"

Robyn sat down next to Evra, and they waited for class to start. "Jeez, Karofsky's late today." Evra leaned over to whisper to her. "I don't think so, Evra. I'm sure whatever errand he had to run was perfectly valid." she said, and Evra suddenly sat up straight after realising that the teacher was standing right behind them. "Get an instrument, and just play. I want to see who's been practising. The whole class ran to the instruments rack. Evra grabbed an ele ctric guitar, Robyn grabbed the cello. And then instantly felt the hand of the teacher clap down on their shoulders. "You two. Front of class. Now. play your chopice to the class. Robyn and Evra looked at each other, and nodded.

Once they were set up with the class watching them, they looked at each other again. "Smoke On The Water?" asked evra. robyn nodded, and she started. the first bar, then evra joined in on the second.

Jason laughed a bit as she described the school rule about her wings. He then nodded as Marina confirmed his name, then asked how long he's been F'ed. "Well, I've had fire magic since as far back as I remember. Of course, that was before my parents..." he explained as the teacher then cleared his throat, interrupting Jason and Marina's conversation. "Sorry..." he softly muttered to the teacher. Occasionally throughout class, Jason looked over at Marina and smiled. Sometimes she turned as well, which caused Jason to turn back towards the classroom and blush a bit. Halfway through class, he took out a small piece of paper and sneakily handed to it Marina.

Would you like to hang out sometime?, the note said, with a small little smiley drawn on it. It was clear that Jason liked her, but he wasn't sure if the feeling was mutual.

Meanwhile, his thoughts ran wild until the one thought drew up to mind: his parents. It's been 10 years since Jason's parents were murdered, and since then, Jason has been living on his own with his sister. He wasn't too sure if he should bother telling Marina about the incident with his parents or not. He barely knew her and telling her flat-out that his parents were murdered probably wouldn't make things any easier. He finally decided to lay low and not bring it up, as he turned his head slightly and awaited a response from Marina.

Marina smiled as Jason talked and heaved a light and slightly sad sigh as the tacher cleared his throat. She looked at the teacher as she found a pencil and goo ready to take some notes while she was secretly dreaming about water as her mind drifted off. Marina was a little bit startled as Jason handed her a little note wihout the teacher noticing. She took it and unfolded the little piece of paper reading it. Jason wanted to hang out with her? Marine felt like fluttering her wings and squeel out of excitement but she paced herself and kept calm though a smile did escape her lips. She wrote on the note masking it as her writing note to whatever the teacher was talking about.

Sounds cool, I'd love to Marina smiled and added a smiley as well and handed jason the note back. She had no idea what they should do while hanging out but she really wanted to get to know him better. Marina heaved yet another sigh and imagined the 2 of them going to the movies, talking long walks and hanging out a each others houses playing board-games and practicing their abilities together. She smiled and snapped out of it as the eacher asked her a question. Marina smiled and answered it with no trouble despite the fact she wasn't really paying attention. Maybe her lack of attention in class was the reason her average was going down.

Jason kept his eyes focused on the board, looking back over at Marina occasionally to see her reaction. He didn't anticipate her reaction, but he couldn't complain. It was clear she was excited, but it wasn't certain until he got her note back. Juding from a few keywords, and the smiley, he could tell that she liked him in a way. His thoughts trailed, thinking about all the different things they could do together: movies, star-lit walks, and so much more. His thoughts then travelled to his parents being proud of him: his parents. He didn't have many memories of spending time with them, he remembered their faces enough to make his eyes water as he quickly wiped them away, luckily before Marina noticed. He looked back down at the note and scribbled a little something about going to the movies and decided to be a bit risky and drew a small heart as the dot on the question mark.

Marina blinked as she got the note back. She looked at it and tilted her head noicing the heart under he question mark. She blushed a little bit and quicky wrote back that the movies sounded really nice. She even dared to suggest a movie though she did erase that part. She didn't want to seem pushy and force Jason to do something he didn't want to. She simply wrote the movies sounded like a good idea and asked if he had a movie in mind copying his writing style with the heart under the question mark thinking it was a hing teenagers did outside Freakshow High.

When Jason got the note back, he saw a part of it erased. Luckily for him, and unluckily for Marina, Jason had a knack for reading stuff that was erased. It clearly suggested the movie "Breaking Dawn", clearly that one movie with the girl and vampire: a romantic movie. He turned over to Marina for a second, who was clearly blushing as she stared forward at the board, doing her best not to look over at him. He turned back and wrote "Yeah, Breaking Dawn is a good choice" and drew a heart next to it as he handed the note back to her, being more sneaky this time as the teacher was getting aware of the note-passing.
