Introduction

Kors has been slowly drifting away from the sun over the past generations but no one has noticed until now that the ice is covering more of the ground and it's not as easy to grow enough food to survive. The people have never known any hardships so most of them have grown soft and unthinking, unable to produce for themselves of even protect themselves. Over the years stories have developed about things that live in the woods, ready to snatch unaware travelers, but those were more stories to scare the children rather than speak the truth, however, now that things are changing those stories and warnings are in the back of everyone's mind.
A majority of the people on Kors are swinging into full blown panic mode causing riots and burnings, innocent people have been killed under the name of protecting the towns from whatever is out there, the royal family has fled from the uprising plunging the whole world into chaos because no one else knows how the government works. The weak, lazy citizens of Kors have turned to fighting each other instead of preparing for the long winter ahead, instead of preparing to defend themselves against whatever might be out there.
Over the years some people have developed special abilities to aid them in the coming trials. Some of these people have broken away from the chaos to form their own alliance in hopes of protecting what they hold dear, while a small number have stepped to the head of the panicking people with dreams of power and one or two have abandoned their people all together in hopes of joining whatever is out there. Kors needs something to happen fast or the whole planet may perish before the ice takes over.

Rules

  1. Follow the rules of RolePlayGateway. If you haven't read them... go do that now, please.
  2. Let everyone control their own characters, no one likes having someone else take over their character. If things don't go how you had planned just roll with it.
  3. Do not deny the truth. It's something we say in theatre improv all the time but it's true, if someone else has stated a "truth" don't deny or go against that truth. Once it's said, unless it completely messes things up, it is and everyone has to abide by that.
  4. No one is more important that anyone else. Please don't try to make you're character better than anyone else's character, even if you're the ruler of the world your character is no more important.

Re: [OOC] Frozen in Death

Hurrah for getting a new role play started. I remember how hard it used to be to get something going, that was a couple years ago, but it almost seems like it's gotten harder now. Once there are at least three people, myself included, we can go ahead and get things started and just allow other people to find their own way in.

As a heads-up, however, I do have a job and work from about 7:30am til 4:30pm (GMT -5) so I won't be online as much as some people.

[OOC] Frozen in Death

Frozen in Death (http://www.roleplaygateway.com/roleplay/never-give-up/)

Shape the destiny of a world either for the good or the bad. Anything is possible in this chaotic world with no leaders and only fear to drive the weak-willed people left to suffer the forth-coming winter. Join the band of those with special abilities and powers who strive to right all the wrongs that have been done, take advantage of the scared citizens to gain power for yourself, or break off on your own to find what might be waiting out there for you.

Looking for: human-esk characters with special abilities (eg: mind reading, telepathic, psychic, etc), normal humans, or The Others which are terrible things that lurk in the woods and inspire bedtime stories like the boogy-man (except worse).
