Name: Ai Sohma
Age: 21
Zodiac Animal: MONKEY
Appearance:
Personality: Ai has a very mixed personality, some think this is because of how she grew up, she has an outwardly happy go lucky/ my way or the high way attitude but she hides her more sensitive side and doesn't show that she is usually deeply troubled. Ai is usually fairly easily to get along with but can easily become overbearing when she wants to do something, she knows how to make memories and have a good time but sometimes she goes passed the line that shouldn't be when she wants to know something.
Deepest Desires: for someone to completely accept her and love her withough conditions.
To learn to cook (she could burn cereal)
Hobbies: Ai likes to sing and draw, which is what most people know her for, her artistic likings. But she is a lover of flowers and has a garden hidden away and she has a habit of sitting down and watching clouds go by.
Greatest Fear: Being truly alone
Parents: Ai has two extremely contradicting parents, her mothers grandfather was in the zodiac so she knew what to expect but her father was a foriegner and had no earthly idea. Her father is repulsed by Ai and rejects her with almost every fiber of her being, but her mother is extremely over protective of her because of her father's rejection.
History: Ai grew up in a very contradicting enviornment, which some say is the reason she's so secluded with some of her emotions. Her father comepletely rejected her once he found out what she was, the moment his baby girl transformed into a little monkey in his arms was the moment she was worse than dead to him. From then on his mistreated her and abused her verbally and mentally, even though he was a kind man to everyone else. Ai knew he was a good man towards everyone else and so she started to blame herself for him hating her. She told herself if she didn't cry anymore, if she didn't complain as much, maybe he would love her again, so shestarted to hide any emotion she thought was bad, but it didn't help. Her mother of course became protective of her but couldn't bring herself to leave her husband so she did her best to take care of Ai, but she tried to hard and often tried to get Ai to cry on her shoulder even when nothing was wrong, at first it was okay but as Ai entered her early teens she became agitated by it and estranged from her mother more and more everytime she tried to help her.
Away from home Ai was an idol in her school, she was very popular which of course provided issues with boys wanting to date her. She was forced to start attending all girls schools her first year in high school, but she tried to stay positive. She was a model stuent grade wise but she was known to be a bit of a clown, she often comforted the class girls when they were having boy issues, or anything like them, even though she had no experience of the sort they'd have never believed that. She was her class rep. and often lead any school team she was on to large competitions. One day when she was at a competition a boy confronted her telling her that from the moment he saw her enter the doors to the building he was in love with her, of course Ai tried to put him down gently and walk away but the boy tried to stop her. She tripped and fell on him in the process and transformed in the middle of a crowded audiotorium. Needless to say everyone's memories were erased and the family head was none too happy about it. From then on it seemed like her father wasn't the only one abusing her, and though she'd never admit it she started to wear reds a lot as her form of protest against the head of the family.
After she graduated she went into cosmetics school and was shortly found later in a karaoke bar as a young and coming talented singer. Slowly her fame has been growing over the last two years because of it but she often worries about what could happen if a crowd got out of control and so she often hesitates to do any real commitment to the career. Ai has moved out of her home and off the sohma main estate into an appartment by herself. She often visits the main estate to see family she likes but tries to only go around the times that she hears the head of the family is ill again. She wouldn't say she hated him or bore any ill will to him the one thing she could understand was why he was the way he was, but she still didn't like to put up with him.
