Taura let out a soft gasp as Aya carefully asked,
"Didn't you just say that Yamada-san was a first year?"She turned from Izanagi and frowned at Aya as the girl introduced herself to Kaiko Ishigawa, a second year. Taura couldn't stand being corrected, but could see what she just did. Blood filled the woman's cheeks as embarrassment began to creep in. Taura softly slapped herself on the right cheek and shook her head.
The auburn girl told Kaiko to join the swim team or the Broadcasting Club, Taura snapped out of her little disappointed moment and her eyes widened. Not caring about the rudeness that would probably show while interrupting the two girls' introductions, Taura placed herself into the conversation.
"Please do, Ishigawa-san. Please do." As always, Taura's eyes took on their glaring look and they began to pierce into Kaiko's. Taura took a quick glance at Aya to see if she became offended from the sudden statement then quickly turned back to Kaiko.
"Well I must go." said Taura simply, and after a strong, intense push of a swim team flyer on the wall, the third year sped off to expressionlessly spread the news of the swim team's recruitment status.
Daichi walked out of the welcoming ceremony panting. There were so many people packed into one place that it seemed like he would drown from overpopulation. Earlier that morning, nobody seemed to want to talk to Daichi, so he had no choice but to attend the welcoming ceremony held every year, even though he has never attended a single one before in his now three years in Fukushima High.
On the way to his locker, Daichi spotted a third year girl from his class, 3B. The image of her intense eyes and chocolate-colored hair was pounded into his head. During the past two years, it was hard to not notice Taura Tsukino's piercing eyes that seemed like they were searching something inside of you while Taura would talk.
"Hello, Tsukino-san." waved Daichi, but he received no reply from his classmate and she brushed past his shoulder without saying a word. Flyers were in her hands and Daichi guessed that she was working on the swim team's recruitment. He reached his locker, retrieved the book he had placed in it earlier that morning, then walked off to search for club leaders after closing his locker. He passed by three people that Taura must have been talking too and Daichi decided to ignore them, not in the mood to really conversate. The guy in the group, Izanagi was his name, caught Daichi's attention. He recognized the guy as a Broadcast Club member from last year.
He must be the leader now, Daichi thought as he walked into another hallway. Izanagi always struck Daichi as one of the very few people who he thought was attractive, but no one could ever past Kyoya Nakazuki. Ever since his eyes had seen Kyoya, Daichi could not stop thinking about his classmate. They were both third years but in different classes. Daichi was in 3B and Kyoya was in 3A. Daichi smiled to himself as he began to daydream about Kyoya when suddenly he heard beautiful music coming from the choir practice room.
Daichi quickly peeked into the room. He saw Kyoya and a girl by a piano.
Who is that girl, Daichi thought to himself as he frowned at the sight. The two began to conversate and Daichi brought his head back to the hallway.
Oh goodness, said Daichi in his head.
I need to catch his attention one day. But when? he shook his head and walked off. One of these days, Daichi would get Kyoya Nakazuki's attention.
