Introduction
The people of Evermore follow the teachings of Tir'Saden, an immortal philosopher that analyzes and postulates upon the makings of the universes. In his tomes, the enigmatic vagrant teaches us about the origin of all the realms connected to Evermore. He hypothesizes that any notion carried for even a fraction of a second creates a new universe with the template of that idea. As a result, there are completely different realms as well as alternatives that closely parallel that realm. Gateway ore forms, connecting Evermore to this newly imagined realm.
Many explorers and realm hunters have wasted their lives trying to discover their own personal paradise. Some are even paid to find a specific realm. Alas, there is a sea of stones, each holding a different universe within them. These gems have thus become a commodity being traded for wealth and property.
Tir'Saden also discusses the origin of Evermore. He makes few conclusions, and is careful with his speculations. The scholar alludes to an entity of thought that created the world, which now seems like a subway to get from one realm to another. He even implies that this entity might live in its own exclusive realm, governing the fate of Evermore and the realms born from it. Other writers proclaim that this realm in which the higher entity resides is the true realm that gave birth to all others, and within this universe one is enlightened beyond imagination.
These teachings have made many men into scholars and religious zealots. He is perhaps the most famous man of Evermore, having churches and cities titled in his name. Too many waste their lives trying to track him and the realms he speaks of so frequently in his volumes. Most, however, search for the true maker of Evermore and this entity's whereabouts, in hopes that they may ascend to a state far beyond their physical, mental, and spiritual identities. The closer to the truth of Evermore these adventurers come, the greater the threat as Evermore protects its secrets. The danger in this quest begs the question: is Tir'Saden still searching for his answers, or have the questions devoured him into a treacherous fate ?
The Evermore Stones: These normally translucent precious stones exhibit a soft glow and may project imagery of the realm to which they lead. In order to pass through the gateway, one must hold the stone and focus on its core. It will ultimately pull the user through. A realm trekker must be prepared with a mundane Evermore rock that is not connected to any other realm. This rock will be one's way back home. Likewise, a stone taken from the realm visited will allow the owner to travel to that realm at his own volition.
