Description

Elayne moves with a certain grace characteristic of her former status. She glides when walking making almost no sound as she crosses the floor. And when one first looks at her she looks quite a petite figure, even for an 18 year old, standing only at 5'8, but when she acutally runs or has to fight, that assessment turns to lithe. Because while her body is not tailored to brawl with somebody, she knows exactly how to use all of her body to her advantage. Elayne's hair is a dull rusty color and on the border of being called red or brown hair. The hair itself is always well kept and extends to just below her shoulders. She leaves her hair down normally but also does it up when there are special occasions, especially she uses a finely crafted hair clip that she has kept since she left her home. Her bangs are long enough to cover her eyes but she pushes them off to the side leaving her eyes unobstructed. Her eyes themsleves are slightly almond shaped and are surprisingly dark. When you look for a color you would determine a green but it's not something you'd notice right away. What you would notice about her eyes were that despite their darkness, they're warm. As if they could not hurt a soul, but as Elayne's mood changes, her eyes reflect the change very well, even if the rest of her face does not.

Normally, Elayne wears a short dress for the time. By this, the dress only comes down to her knees. And because of this she has a much wider range of movement and the dress does not get in her way. The dress itself is cut off at the shoulders and the collar goes up her neck, but aside from that it is not an extremely elegant dress. It's not something a peasant would have but it's not a very nice dress for a noble either. Around the dress Elayne also wears a chain as a belt and at the end of the chain is a dart, or something that looks like a spear tip, which she keeps tied to her right side. With her dress Elayne also wears gloves that extend up to just below her elbows, but are ripped there, which suggest that they were longer at one time. Also added later there are plates of ornimented steel attatched to the back of her gloves in two pieces. One piece covers the back of her hand and the other covers her forearm. Upon the dark soft leather gloves the pieces of metal look slightly out of place and almost as if the ornementation was done as a halfhearted effort to blend the steel into the outfit. Finally, the palms of the gloves have also been through a makeover since the origonal decorative pair as the palms are heavily reenforced with more (and harder) leather. Finally Elayne wears heeled boots. The boots are faded slightly, dulling the ornimentation on the soft leather. The boots also have less of a heel than normally expected on heeled boots to still give the impression of a heel (And to boost her height) but to still allow easy movement. Finally, like the gloves an ornimental looking piece of steel has been added to the front of the boots extending from the top of the boot, just below her knees to her ankle.

Personality

Elayne is a noble. And in her behavior it shows. She is naive toward the real world and the logistics of certain things but is well versed in history and other subjects. She tends to play gmes with people and toys with peope to find her amusement. She is also a flirt which stems from her toying with people. She is quite cunning and likes to speak in riddles if she can but will be blunt if need be and she is not getting her point across. Aside from that she is very prideful. And if you hurt her pride or trick her she will be very vindictive of the person. And you do not want to be on her bad side. She has also been known to slap people who get her angry, no matter how politically incorrect it is. However sadness is another story. As a noble she views sadness as weakness and an emotion. So if she is hurt or sad she will keep it in until nobody is around and then release. Because if they knew where to hurt you they could do it again. Elayne is still mastering this though and if you know where to look you can easily tell what she is feeling.

Equipment

Elayne has a small variety of weapons. She can untie the chain around her waist and use it as a rope dart which she is rather proficent with. She also normally carries around a fan which is actually a bladed fan as the end of each fan segment is covered by a small razor sharp blade. If you are looking to see if the fan is bladed when it is folded, it is very hard to do, but when the fan is unfolded it's easy to tell it's danger. Finally, as a last ditch effort Elayne has a small dagger hidden somewhere in her dress. She doesn't like to use it and very few have seen it, and those who have, didn't live much longer.

History

Elayne was born in Eruba in one of the more notrhern portions of the country. As a little girl she learned the ways of the court from her mother in their manor. She also learned to ride horses and to tend horses. But aside from that it was a typical noble's chilhood. As she grew her parents started granting her more and more freedoms. Soon they allowed her to start to speak of her own accord even though she was just 16 at the time. In politics she quickly became known as an extreme moderate, dismissing wars as a viable way to spread catholasism and instead encouraging the use of missionaries and other peaceful approaches. However her exreme stand quickly brought her enemies with those that thought that war was the best answer to their problems. When Elayne was 18 the most recent war broke out. Now faced with the problem of backing down from her views and being viewed as being bought by someone or to risk being tried of treason for speaking against the war, Elayne ran. She confided in her parents her intentions and left with a horse and a weath of gold to help her travels. She quickly made her way across Eruba and then into Britania, the only suitable place as she would still be safe, but not considered a traitor. Since being in Britania she has been wandering and looking for somewhere to stop for a while.
