Description

Delia is fairly typical among the favorite lovely, lusty wenches who work and live at The Spotted Calf tavern. She is not tall enough to lose favor with the less confident patrons, nor is she short enough to be lost in a crowd. Her brown hair is full and curling, and she works very hard to keep it free of lice and grime, and easy way to lose customers. She is slightly plump and carries with her a full set of womanly curves, which are covered only enough to be considered decent while serving drinks. She wears a loose, flowing skirt and a blouse which is easily enough removed, but mostly held in place by a firmly strung corset.

Personality

Delia is saucy by trade, witty by nature, and loyal by default. She maintains an inner bitterness towards the king, and idolizes his enemies, the band in Sherwood. And behind it all she harbors a deep devotion to one in particular of the outlaws.

Equipment

Delia carries hidden on her person a single short dagger, for drunkards that get too rowdy. A few years ago, a kind apothecary also introduced her to a special drug which, when ingested (in ale, perhaps?) induces a quick and deep sleep. This comes in handy when she is working for The Hood.

History

Delia's father was a yeoman farmer. When he took ill, Delia and her mother were forced to find a new home. Delia was old enough by then to get work in the village's busiest tavern, with the understanding that she and her mother would have room and board. The original plan was to scrimp and save until the two women could find some other means of shelter, perhaps even returning to the family's old farm. But her mother followed her father to the grave, leaving Delia alone.
With nothing better to do, she stayed on at the tavern, earning enough to live and learning a great deal of the goings-on about Nottingham from the drunken lips of swaggering patrons. Delia secretly supported the efforts of the ghosts of Nottingham, but what good could a tavern wench do to aid the cause?
Then, one night, an old friend of Delia's swaggered into the bar. His stay stretched into the wee hours of the morning, until who should come to retrieve him but the ghost of Nottingham itself! Delia's shock and excitement only expanded as she found herself in a position to offer up what she had overheard the soldiers discussing to the rebels. From there, Delia became a part of the cause: a secret informant delivering information from the ale-soaked beds of foolish soldiers.
