Name:Elijah Jenkins (Eli)
Age: 18
Personality: Eli has learned to keep to himself. Nobody wants to deal with the kid with all the bruises, so he goes along with it. He tends to have an edge of sarcasm whenever he talks to push people away and he doesn't have any real friends - friendly acquaintances maybe, but no one gets any closer than that. He doesn't show when he gets angry, instead he just bottles it up and tries to keep it pushed down. It's been years since Eli showed any hint of happiness and he is usually seen with a straight face. He is drawn to things that are broken and for some reason has a soft spot for kids.
History: Elijah was born on November 25 to Mark and Pam Jenkins. Pam died shortly after giving birth and Mark has always blamed Eli. For the first few years Mark tried to accept Eli and to not take out his devastation on the boy, but the older he grew the more he reminded the man of his mother.
When Eli was 7 the abuse started. It was only a few harsh words at first, then they gradually became more frequent. At age 10 the hitting started. The first one was just an accident, but then it started happening more and more. Over the years the occasional smack turned into full out beatings. Concerned teachers would come by to check on Eli, but Mark would charm them into thinking the boy was just clumsy and it was no big deal. As soon as they would leave, his fury would come out again. Elijah learned that it was best for everyone if he just stayed in the shadows, and eventually even the teachers stopped caring.
He did try to fight back once when he was 14, but that only made Mark worse. Now it wasn't a matter of anger, it was a matter of dominance. Since then Eli has taken his abuse in silence, never making the slightest resistance. Besides, it's been drilled into his head for 11 years that he is a worthless piece of trash. Why should he deserve anything better?
Extras: He expresses himself through drawing and always caries a notebook in his backpack specifically for that.
Role in the class: Abusive Parent
