Egan continued to run for half an hour until finally someone had complained and he was instructed to stop. He'd get into trouble later for exercising but he didn't care. Exhausted, Egan returned to his room, pulling his shirt off as he entered just before shutting the door. Pulling his pants off, he collapsed onto his bed and stared up at the ceiling. His heart was racing, he could feel it echoing in his chest and the uneven rhythm it beat. Slowly, he pulled himself up and looked at his clock. Fifteen minutes before class.
"Shit!" He jumped up and quickly got dressed, dressing in what he had worn down to breakfast. He quickly checked to make sure he didn't smell and when he was sure he was good to go, he grabbed his books and headed out to his first period, Junior English.
