Introduction
Once humanity reached outer planets and stars, we realized that we were not the only people to do so. Others, much like us but different in key ways, had already been traveling the stars for some time. They shared their ways, and now humanity has a solid place among the races of the universe. The Milky Way, Andromeda, and a few lesser known galaxies have been explored. There are thousands upon billions of planets that are habitable, despite earlier beliefs, and a good percentage of them have been either claimed or settled.
For two hundred years, life progressed as just getting by in the universe. But then everything changed.
The Zealots came.
The Milky Way was the limit of outer reaching exploration when it was found, and that fact hasn't changed in the two hundred years since its discovery, with so many planets to be found and studied. From just beyond its borders, trillions of ships came, waging holy war against all in their path. They ploughed through entire systems in minutes, leaving behind a single ship to destroy any remaining resistance. Nothing ever came back to even tell what the creatures looked like. Then it happened. The ominous force slammed into Earth like a wave of destruction, and humanity broke the tide like a hammer. To symbolize their faith, the Zealots swore to always take a home planet by force and on land. They would face the most powerful men on the planet and kill them in single combat to show that their holy mission was unstoppable. As soon as they touched down and demanded to see the leader of Earth's military might, a squad sergeant stepped up.
It took an hour of hard fighting between the sergeant and the alien leader, but finally the old Marine won out. He killed the alien leader, barely, before succumbing to his own wounds. This was unheard of. The Zealots were at a loss. They had no idea what to do without their leadership, and now that their holy mission had been ceased, even for a second, their resolve was shattered. In quiet shock, they retreated to the farthest depths of the galaxy.
Every species thought the threat was over, and happily turned the victory of a common human sergeant into a holiday across the universe. A small group, one spanning millions of people but with little influence anywhere, testified that they had only killed ONE of the creatures, that they must be hunted or at least countered when they returned. This arguement was met with accusations of insanity, and dismissed completely. The leader of the paranoid group, however, would not stand by and wait. He stockpiled weapons and gear enough to fit everyone who SAID they believed the Zealots would be back like a Marine. And he waited.
And they waited.
It's been twenty years since the day that sergeant killed the Zealot leader. You are...an outcast. One who never believed in society, and never comfortably fit into it. You are one of the few who has your own ship, your own purpose. But everything is soon to change again.
The Zealots are coming back, and it'll take the entirety of everyone under the flag of life to stop them. They've been brooding outside the galaxy, and they want revenge. Their holy mission doesn't matter at the moment. They don't care about procedure. They want to kill every last human and other species in the galaxy.
All isn't lost, however. Some have found that there are ancient weapons among a certain system in the Milky Way, and are flying to find them before the Zealots come. Despite the threat of extinction, however, no one outside of the group, named the Pack, believes in them. As it stands, the Pack is fighting hard to secure the weapons so they don't die like everyone else. And, maybe, just maybe, tear the Zealots a new one while they were at it.
Welcome to life as we know it. Now fight tooth and nail for it, or lose it all.
THE CS!
Just fill out the regular CS, but add into the following sections at the end what shows:
Description: Nothing extra.
Personality: Any character quirks or flaws. Maybe an obsession or two. Also, list what your character does for a living and how he/she feels about it morally.
Equipment: Describe your ship here under the following format
Ship name:
Class: (Industrial name, such as 'Kessel Corp. Jumper XIX' or something of the like)
Type: (Frigate, freighter, blockade runner, gunship, etc. If you come up with a new one explain please)
Size: (Just an estimate, like about as big as a house or mobile home, and how many people can comfortably fit into it)
Weapons: (No more than four and even then only on a gunship or blockade runner. Rail guns, missile pods, a small scale plasma weapon, energy based weapons, and some form of ramming weapon are all fine, but no plasma cannons like from Halo and no instakill EMP weapons. These will be subject to very critical eyes, namely mine, when I check your CS)
Armor rating: (What material if you want, but mainly a 1[phailure, cuz it doesn't deserve correct spelling) to 10(takes a freaking plasma cannon to get through it). Again, I will pay close attention to this)
Speed rating: (Same as armor, just with how fast it is. This doesn't apply in Zero-space. All ships are equal there)
Shape: (Picture or description of what your ship looks like)
History: Don't worry about this one, but keep it clear and type 'Wolf Pack' in it to show you actually read all this

And hurry up with that post!

Re: [OOC] Gray Star
Additionally, I meant that it's the fastest out of Zero-space, even moreso than a ten...like on guitars--they go up to eleven. While I will tone it down, I dearly wish to increase this number if at all possible. If not, then, oh well.
Re: [OOC] Gray Star
Four rail guns is a little bit too much. At least dial it down to three, say one on the turret or one on the nose.
Speed doesn't go up to 12, though I will accept the highest possible(10) due to your heinously low armor.
Other than that I like the profile. Good show, chap :P Fix what I asked and I'll slap the approve button :)
Re: [OOC] Gray Star
I will create a character later.
Re: [OOC] Gray Star
Will everyone be as a team? No, unless it is universally agreed that a team would be best. I planned on having everyone eventually band together for something big, but that was really up for grabs. If you want to be on a team, feel free and join a ship. I personally have no issues with that.
With the ships, will we be able to upgrade or add on later? Hell yes. I'm a tinkerer by nature, so I totally understand if you want to do upgrades or tweaks, so fire away...later. We're all going to start out weak. It's like a video game leveling system: you start crappy and eventually become ridiculous.
Are we allowed to make up weapons? Hm...dang, I thought I was clear on this. THERE ARE NO SET WEAPONS! As long as you run them by me first and get the okay, go wild. Something that paralyzes ships in a single or few shots, however, would be a bit overkill, so I'm gonna have to veto that idea unless you're sacrificing a hell of a lot. We can probably work something out.
I hope this was enough to answer your questions, and thank you for taking interest in my RP.
