Description

Madam Missouri has ceased to be a spring chicken, but there's not a man in town who would argue against her appeal. She takes very great care of her appearance, dressing in the finest silks and most distracting necklines. Her skin is deeply tanned, and her dark brown hair is dealt a full hour of curling at the break of each day.

Personality

Madam Missouri wears a face of congeniality and welcome, but she is well known as a shrewd businesswoman. No request is denied so long as it is overpaid for. Missouri is also ferociously protective; of her business, of her home, and of her girls.

Equipment

Madam Missouri is known to have a shotgun available behind the bar in her place, and carries with her at all times a mysterious vial...

History

Madam Missouri is one of the few citizens of Green Hallow who has never, since her birth in the very building she now owns, felt a need to venture away from Green Hallow. She was born, raised, and intends to live in the strange city throughout the duration of her life.

Missouri's mother was a girl who worked in the establishment, and her father was a traveler who came from the city for which she was named. This is about as much as she knows, as her mother gave in to creeping death after the exertion of bringing her daughter into the world, and Mister Traveler from Missouri had long since returned there. Missouri was raised by the former owner of the brothel, and became fascinated with the ever changing face of the place as dozens upon dozens of men just like her father came, were changed forever, and left.

Few details of Missouri's actual youth are known; but eventually her foster mother passed on and Missouri found herself in possession of the house of ill repute. With a sense of the class of the far-off cities, Missouri turned the place into one of the fanciest joints in the whole town. Rumors abound about her private life; whether or not she has had any children of her own, whether or not she really has a secret ledger of famous visitors, whether or not she truly has some strange connection with the mysteries that abound in Green Hallow. All that is known for certain is that Missouri is there to stay.
