He usually has on skinny jeans with toms and V-necks of various colors. His eyes are a light blue, and he can be seen looking at things rather intensely.
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 100lbs
Nationality: Australian
Occupation: Student
Sexual Preference Gay
Powers:Able to cause auditory and visual hallucinations by making eye contact. Able to sustain them for a while after contact is broken. Uses this as main form of communication, as he is unable to talk. Will cause nightmare-like hallucinations when scared.
Is this the first year your character will be attending /working at this school: Yes

Likes:Books, dancing, Internet, cute boys, and animals
DislikesConcerts, people who don't make eye contact, being made fun of for being deaf, being alone, and music (as a concept, makes him feel very left out)
Personality: Dylan is a very happy person. He loves to dance around, despite not hearing any music, smile, and gawk at people. He is profoundly deaf, not able to hear a single thing, as he has been since he was born. He, however, doesn't let hs disability get the better of him, as he can read lis perfectly, and can 'talk' by causing an auditory hallucination in who ever he is talking to. Being from Australia, he is use to all sorts of animals, and as such loves most of them, and doesn't mind dangerous ones at all. He is very direct when 'talkng' and if angry will sign extremely rude things.

History: Dylan was born in Darwin, Austalia, and was the only child of his parents before they divorced. He was born with a rare condition that renders him 100% deaf. Being born deaf, he doesn't mind it at all and will sometimes forget when he is in a book or dancing. He mastered signing at age 6, and lived normally for several years. When he was 11, he discovered his powers, and started 'talking' to his parents. When he did an auditory hallucination, the voice is what his would have been, and his parents where so happy they could hear him at last. At age 13, he came out of the closet. He had always been flamboyant, and so his parents weren't too taken back, and accepted him. He was sent to the academy to learn because after one day when he was picked on for being deaf and gay, he caused his bully to imagine an army on ants was biting him, and the fear caused him to go into a coma for a day. His parents understood, but decided that he should gain some control over his power.

Dylan

Dylan was standing outside the dormitories of Greenfield Acadmey, his home for the next four years. He started at the building, and tried to figure out exactly how he felt about it. Obviously he was happy, a new adventure, his parents would say. And he admitted it did look nice, very simple yet elegant at the same time. However, he knew that he was sent here because he lost control and hurt someone, and even though his parents had forgiven him, he was still carrying around the guilt.

No more whining, it's time to go the the room and unpack. He thought to himself as he climbed the stairs to the third floor. He took out a sheet of paper that had his room and roommates on it. Walker, Ryan, and me. Cute names at least. He said as he found his room and opened it. It was simple enough, with the bed and no real decorations, although the space seemed cool. He instantly picked the bed that was against the right wall and slung his bags on it. He began to unpack, and got giddy from all of the things he knew he would see at this school.

Benji

"Stupid parents, stupid neighborhood, stupid sending me away. Stupid, stupid, stupid!" Was what Benjamin Creedon Lawson was thinking as he was entering his room. From what he saw already, he knew that things seemed alright, but was still mad at his parents for sending him away.

"It's not like I knew I'd crush the Deboius House." He said to no one, sense he was alone. Normally to get his anger out, he would go into town and get lost in the noise, but since discovering his powers, he had a new way to cool off. After opening his suitcase and placing the picture of his family on the nightstand, he opened up the window in the room and took off his shoes. Strange as it was, whenever he shifted into a dragon, his shoes were the only part of his clothing that remained, usually tearing.

He climbed out of the room and looked down three stories, and then he jumped off of the window seal. Falling down made him happy, but to an outsider, he was suicidal. Around half way down, he tucked into the fetal position. Once in the position, he glowed a red haze around him. Suddenly, a dragon took the place of the falling boy. He giggled as he felt his wings take him up. He began, once high enough, to let himself fall and glide. He even did a few backwards flips, although that made him a bit dizzy.

"I might actually like this dumb school." He thought as he glided over the dorms.

Dylan

Unpacking was easier than Dylan thought, most likely due to the fact that he didn't really have much besides clothing and a few books. So after the clothing was packed away in the dresser and his books on his nightstand, he knew that he was bored. There was almost no way he could have realized what was going on in the dorms near him, but staying in a room dull. He walked from his room and walked outside.

The first thing he saw was a guy and a beasty looking thing just hanging around. "Weird" He thought to himself before realizing that looking up to them was probably a wasted cause. So he decided to turn around when something caught his eye. It seemed to be a cat, running like a bat out of hell. He turned his gaze to where the cat came from and saw a group of people. He noticed that one was pinned up against a wall by a guy far larger than him with his backup standing there. One thing that pissed him off was bullies, and maybe using powers badly wasn't a great way to start school, but he didn't care. He walked up to the group, then tapped the bully on the shoulder. He sad something along the lines of, "What do you want?" In a way that seemed rude.

He looked him dead in the eyes and then caused his illusion. Nothing to horrible, just a bug swamp bursting from his eyes, while a screaming voice coming from him. The bugs then began to swamp around him. This seemed to freak him out, as he turned pitch white and then yelled at his friends to leave, and then ran off.

Dylan smiled at that and then turned to the boy. His base nature made him sign, 'are you alright?' but he realized this little boy probably couldn't sign, so he just looked him in the eyes and started to 'talk'.

"I'm Dylan. Are you alright? They didn't harm you, did they?" He looked at the boy, hoping he was alright.

"Let me guess, you were working as the fridge?" I said, never one to miss a snarky joke. "See ya, and go easy on him." I waved as he left, then went to go pick up my stuff from the room, seeing the new guy that Ryan and I had gotten this year to replace the senior from last year. I thought back to when I had been told this, and remembered being reminded that he was deaf. I then walked over to him, tapped him on the shoulder, and made my aura work itself into cursive writing.
<Hey, you must be Dylan. I'm Walker McMullin, and I'll be your roommate for the year, alongside Ryan. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I know a little ASL(Because I might have played Katawa Shoujo and felt like it would be a good idea to learn in case I ended up running into a real-life Shizune.), so I can translate for you somewhat with the others.>

Cyrus was amazed at what this other kid did to the bullies, he really made them run in fear. The boy tried to signing to Cyrus But with no luck , then the boy spoke in a sÊance "I'm Dylan. Are you alright? They didn't harm you, did they?" Cyrus smiled and laughed a bit before answering him.

" I am okay.... I thank you very much sempai " The honorifics was something that he was taught at a young age by his grandfather on his father side. the Grandfather was a very strict and traditional man, so if Cyrus did not show respect in the right way he would be in very deep trouble especially to the person he just saved him. " My name is Cyrus and it is very nice to meet you" he did not give his full attain to Dylan for he was worried about the Cat.

Dylan

He watched as the kid introduced himself. Cyrus, he made a note to himself, as remembering name's was not a very strong point for Dylan. However, it was the last word that caught him a bit off guard. He has lip read people with difference accents, but the fact that his lips moved normally made the word 'sempai' seem out of place. He had to think a moment before the definition of that word came back to him. It was a form of praise, he remembered it from a manga he looked at once. He felt a little glad this kid called him that. He started the message again, "It was no problem, I had to deal with bullies a lot, but you learn to ignore them. Might I ask what your ability is?" The voice that traveled in the kid's head was what his would have sounded like, with an Australian accent and a bit high.

However before he could receive an answer from the kid, he felt someone tap his shoulder, and turned around to see a boy. This guy looked around his age, if a bit older. First thought was he was slightly cute. However, his attention was caught at the purple glowing letters that came from him. He must know about me. He thought as he read the message. He smiled a bit that someone had studied up on him and was offering to be nice. At least one confirmed nice roommate.. As he finished reading the message, he gave the signal for thanks, and then looked into his eyes. "Thanks again for the nice message, very neat writing. I am Dylan, and I don't really have any questions, although I do wonder something. Who is Katawa? and can you do other things with the purple mist?" He gave an expression of wonder. He was new to this whole powers thing, and it gave him a bit of comfort to know what his 'competition' had up their sleeves.

Benji

Benji had finally managed to flip himself right side up again when Ryan began to talk. He thought it was cool how far people could go, and from his answer, the boy had gone pretty far up.

"I don't know how far I've gone up, I get tired kinda fast. Although it was fun hidin' in the bayou, and then poppin' out when people come by. The looks on their faces was awesome!" He laughed at the memories, it was really the only fun he had with his powers besides flying since he got them before being shipped to the Academy.

"And on that falling remark. I gotta say I love the falling the most. My wings stop, and I drop like a rock, kinda like this." He stopped his wings and then began to fall at a great speed. His back would have hit the ground first, but he enjoyed the fall, as the air rushing by was a great thrill. However, to make sure he didn't get hurt, as it did when he fell, he gave a big swing of his wings and gave his climb back into the sky. When he was at Ryan's level, he stopped, his tail swinging in the wind.

He looked down and noticed the people by the academy. Three boys by the looks of it. "Hey, I got an idea. How about we pretend I'm attacking you and scare thems down by the dorms?" His tail then point directly at the three guys on the ground, as he waited for an answer.

I made the aura dissipate, and began writing anew.
<It's more like a liquid, really.> I was trying to make it clear that the topic that was in parentheses was only meant for the people I'm telling this story to right now. <But as long as I can think it and it's of a fair size, I can make it with my aura.> To punctuate this, I made my arm flare up into purple fire, a giant translucent sword left behind on my arm, starting at the elbow and ending a foot past my hand. <So, I can assume that your power involves the mind, and judging by the fact that you needed to make eye contact before I heard you, can I also assume that your power works on the visual level as well as the audible?> I wrote after making the sword return to aura. I was just making a guess off of what I knew, and I found that, more often than not, people tend to answer more fully when they assume you know everything, mainly because they don't have to hide things.

"Ig?..." This was all Tzar could say before Ig ran off for some unknown reason, where was it going? And why? These questions, although important would most likely be answered if he simply followed Ig, and so he did. Although rather difficult, considering that Ig is a predator, and inherently quick, Tzar had a tough time following it. Rather concerned he was, for some reason Ig seemed rather... careless? It was just running in a direction, not really caring for obstacles and people in the way, even though Ig wasn't that used to humans, it's not like it was oblivious to their existence.

Finally, after about 2 minutes of sprinting after Ig - Ig finally stopped. Tzar took in a deep breath, placing one of his hands over his chest, he could feel his heart racing, what an unnecessary exercise. Slowly, Tzar straightened himself, taking a look at what Ig had ran 2 minutes straight for. At first, he was rather confused, all he saw was a group of people, but then he understood. A cat. Ig had been running so long for a cat, sure, Tzar understood, Ig was hungry and went towards the closest meal. Tzar was rather surprised, how had Ig managed to detect a cat from that far away? But, he quickly pushed that thought away as he noticed how aggressive Ig was getting towards the group, and simply due to a cat. It was making strange growls, gurgling in a disgusting, loud manner, and even going so far as to point all of its appendages at the person holding the smaller critter. Tzar slowly began to approach Ig, trying to not alarm it, he was a bit afraid of how this would go, not really sure if he would be able to calm it down in time, or if the group would simply get alarmed by it's actions and attack it.

Cyrus was going to answer Dylan when a strange boy and a seemly anger beast. The cat in Cyrus's hand was shaking and hissing at the beast and trying to get free, but Cyrus would not let go of the cat. He knew that it would surly be the end of this critters life. He took a step back " D...Dylan..... Sempai!! " he said taking another step " Hel....help...." his voice when high pitched and his heart began to race. This kind young boy did not know what to do with what was in front of him and hoped the Dylan or the new boy could save him and calm the beast. Cyrus looked around for any means of escape.

The growling sound was probably what made me stop paying attention to what anyone was doing. All I saw was some sort of hellspawn in the doorway that had magically been reopened, even after I had closed it. Either way, I wasn't having any of that, and after years and years of going to this school, self-defense is probably my strongest suit. I walked over to whatever this thing was, making sure I didn't show any fear, and made a finger gun, aiming at the whatever. As I fired a beam of aura at it, I split the shot into six beams, turning the blast into a cage and pinning down the creature before anything could be done on it's part. I inspected the creature with a bit of a grimace and tightened the cage so it was completely immobilized.
"Ugh. And I thought I needed to freshen up." I said, the aura flowing from my fingertip and around the cage, harder than any alloy I've seen to date. Well, any alloy bar an odd gold/platinum/silver mix, but I doubt anyone is going to weaponize that any time soon. I then poked my other finger at the kid who ran in behind this thing and used my big boy voice. "Watch your hellspawn, it could seriously hurt someone."

Tzar walked towards the currently, binded Ig, and completely ignoring the white-haired student. Ig, still attempting to break out of the binds which were holding it, however, as soon as Tzar got close to him, Ig seemed to calm down a bit more. Tzar crouched down by Ig, and began whispering to it, "Do not worry, friend. I shall take you home." Gently, he placed his hand over what could be considered the creature's head. Not long after, Ig, began to dissipate, and in its place now was some kind of 3-Dimensional shadow, which after a few seconds also disappeared.

Sighing deeply, Tzar turned to the white-haired boy, responding back to him in a much calmer, and quiet tone. "Ig would never hurt a human without need. Do take notice that he is a predator. He preyed on that cat, just how that cat preys on mice." Tzar simply turned around and began walking away, in a manner that perfectly fit the tone that he had used. But, he stopped in his tracks, turning back around to face the person he had just responded to, in the same calm, quiet tone. "I'd also like to request that you choose your words better, just because Ig is different from what you have seen does not make him "Hellspawn".

I could already tell I was going to like this kid.
"And I was acting in self-defense against an unknown entity, so neither of us is in the wrong. But," I replied, shifting into philosophical mode, "is it truly right for him to attempt to prey on one owned by another person? Imagine if I were feeling peckish and decided to eat YOUR creature, hellspawn, whatever, I classify anything from a different dimension as hellspawn, and speaking of, if it needs to eat CATS, it must truly suffer in it's dimension from starvation. Regardless, would you feel as detached about it as you seem to be when someone else is involved?" I asked, testing to see if this kid was going to need to be watched for future problems.

"Eclipse, I'm going to get my schedule, because if I don't get it now, I'll forget about it. I'll be right back!" Sora smiled at Eclipse and walked out. In the hallway she found a whole group of guys and she gasped, because she couldn't help, but notice there was a... "Cute kitten!" Sora squealed. She started petting the kitten, as it calmed down and started purring in Cyrus' arms.
Happily, Sora continued her way.

"I'm bored, I'm going outside." Togame thought. She simply walked out of the room, without telling anything else to Tanya. Will the little Russian girl follow her roommate? Togame hoped she wouldn't, but who knows...

"This guy over there looks familiar..." Sora was thinking, after she noticed Chris, who wasn't far away. "Wait! Isn't that..." Sora was about to finish her thoughts, when she suddenly tripped and fell forwards. She got used to that, since she trips and falls often. Some wounds on her knees weren't fully healed yet.

Dylan

It happened way too fast for him to completely understand. He saw Cyrus backing up away from.... something. Looks like something from the outback He thought jokingly. He wanted to see it first before acting, but then Walker took the lead and beat the creature before the new person stepped up. From his lips, he seemed to be defending the creature, Cat and mouse was the phrase that stuck before walking away. However, he stopped but didn't turn around, probably saying something. "I hate that SO MUCH!" He thought. It might seem cool, but he hated it so much.

Walker began to say something, but Dylan grabbed his arm to turn him after he seemed done, and gave the signal 'stop'. He then looked in his eyes. "We don't know what this kid can do, or if he's got more nasties. So, just for now, can we please act civilized and not try and fight. I think Cyrus has seen enough fighting for one day." He made the voice sympathetic sounding, rather than bossy, and he did believe that this must be a lot of Cyrus, It would have been a lot for him at that age.

When the girl came up, and pet the kitten, he was surprised it didn't claw her, most animals do when people come on fast. When she seemed done, he look at Cyrus. "First bullies, and now monsters trying to eat your pets, fun day isn't it?" He said jokingly, "Reminds me of home, minus the Roo's of coarse. How's your friend?" When she fell, he had to smile a little bit, he was a sucker for slapstick comedy.

Cyrus was relieved that all had been took care of without anyone getting hurt. then a young girl came over and calmed Cyrus's new friend. "He 's okay and I fine to " Cyrus closed his eyes and took a deep breath and set his hand over the cat, just hovering above the hard. When Cyrus exhaled a soft light began to radiate from said him bathing the critter in its warmth, then the faded a away and all is made right with the cat. " Now everything is fine with him " Cyrus smiled as big as he could and giggled.

Tzar watched the white-haired student as he so quickly responded. He stared at him for a moment, taking in all the information he had put into this rather unusual question. Tzar let out a deep sigh, mostly due to how painfully obvious the answer was to him, and how little amusement it would bring to answer it. But, just as we was right about to answer, another student grabbed the other's arm, pulling on it, but the white-haired one stopped him, looking right back at him. Tzar shrugged, sighing at how determined that boy was at getting an answer. "Ig's plain of existence is full of predators, a lot of them are much more dangerous than he probably ever will be. It would be ignorant of me if I hadn't yet accepted the idea that he may one day become someone's meal."The girl, the brown-haired one with glasses, she once again caught Tzar's eye. Looking at her reminded him of how likely it was that this group of people would grow. And so, just like minutes before, Tzar turned away from them, pulling out an old, green, leather-bound book from out his satchel and once again walking away. Sadly, without Ig, his books were pretty much all he'd have to entertain himself, at least until he got back to his dorm. Even though he loved each and every word, of every sentence, of every page of those books, it was a nerving thought to think that his old friend had popped in, and stay for so little time. Oh well, it seemed like it was something he'd have to grow use to.

I frowned as the kid walked away with such a cynical remark.
"Someone must have had a generically horrible childhood." I remarked, letting my aura dissipate into the air like mist. I then turned to the others and smiled once again so Dylan would know nothing bad had happened.
"Right! Welcome to Greenfield, where kids can fly and eldritch abominations can come to eat your cat in the same day! Any questions?"

A black and gauzy ribbon-like line was swooping around the hallway walls. It was growing and disappearing at the same time. Suddenly, the whole floor got pitch black. The blackness shattered in pieces, which violently started moving around the hallway, to the stairs and most likely - to the other floors.

Each of the pieces invaded the mind of every single living creature in the dorm building. It attacked their five senses, sped up the pulse and breathing of most of them, and started fighting with their psyche. Some could barely feel it, although they were affected enough to notice it.

"What was that?" Togame thought.

Others almost got a mental breakdown, as both their organs and mind state were struggling with darkness.

Sora collapsed on her knees, holding her head, screaming for help. Her thoughts were rushing and fighting, her heart was pounding. She went silent and started breathing heavily.

It affected each of them differently. However, everyone now knew something was wrong.

My charming attempt at an introduction to the school was cut short by some sort of weird feeling. There was darkness, I can recall that. I also recall it hurting to high heaven. But there were freshmen around, and I was going to be damned if they saw me weak and leaving them without a good role model. With my aura flowing to my hand, I made a squeezing device and tightened my hand, focusing on the resistance it was offering until the pain passed. Then I felt myself reenter the clear, the moment of pain gone. What was left, however... There was almost the feeling of standing on the edge of an abyss, with only one small step being the difference of staying aground or slipping away into black. As I got a hold of myself, I saw that I wasn't the only one affected, and felt I should check on the others.
