Ruya sighed and blew a strand of silver hair out of her eyes. This was an annoyance that she could deal without, being stuck with demons for hours more than she needed to be. She didn't hate them, but that didn't mean they had her total trust. She ignored the female demon's display of practically throwing herself at the other one and stepped up to give her name.

"My name is Ruya Alexander."

As she stepped back she nodded politely to Zoey, "That sounds great I'm sure I'll need a guide." It seemed this girl had a pretty good sense of who was safe for her to be around. As she thought of this she glanced again at the third demon Takio and again wondered why he hadn't joined the others.

Drake Sever

He'd finish up walking straight to math. Placing a head on his head. "well is math again.
He'd walk know into the class bowing slightly to Mrs.Duncan. He'd just take a random seat anywhere. Placing his elbow on the deck, he'd place his chin into his hand waitting for for day to end. Drake just look around the room. He'd see one of the girls. She was the one thst went into detention. He'd just lay his head down waitting for his wor, to come to him..

As if detecting what Ruya was thinking Kali stared in her general direction with no emotion, her face going cold and blank, even as the teacher asked her name.
"Kali" she said in a monotone
"last name?" the woman asked
"i don't have one" Kali replied, the teacher looked about ready to argue until Kali took her cold stare momentarily off the angel and onto the teacher. she looked slightly frightened and shuffled away.
She felt the familiar tug of fury and hate at herself, in her chest. She directed most of it towards the angel. As if she had a right to judge her. Because what? she was born all high and mighty in heaven with all the other snooty know it all angels who looked down on anyone and anything they could get their pretty little eyes one. looking down on the rest of the world especially demons like they where nothing but pond scum.
but you wish to be with them....to be...good a voice whispered to her
ya cuz id fit in real well up there. they wouldn't let someone as low down as me even look at the gates of heaven she thought bitterly
and yet you still hope the other part of her whispered
A bitter smile twisted Kali's lips as she realized that was true, but as soon as this stupid test was over she was moving up (or was it down?) in hell, and she wouldn't have time to think about the goody goody angels.

Takio almost shouted in anger when he had misunderstood the demon girl
Damn, damn, damn! Now everyone is going to think i'm vain he sighed
"Sorry got that wrong... sorry" he moved back slightly, away from the other demons, it was natural to him now, since he had always done that when he had said something werid or when the other demons ganged up on him. He stood between the angels and the demons great this is exactly what i am... he thought i am the middle-ground... the one that will never fit in with either group... the pugatory Takio looked over to one of the angels, who seemed to have glanced at him, he smiled and waved back at her. He probably looked werid to no end but he could never truely be mad around angels, maybe it was their pure arua or something.

Ruya

The young angel was becoming anxious. She knew their punishment and saw no point in them standing around. While waiting she noticed the demon she assumed was Takio standing between the two groups. Apparently her curiosity hadn't gone unnoticed. Blinking rapidly behind her starlight colored bangs she mentally smacked herself for being so foolish. Before she mad things worse she returned his smile with a grin of her own and spoke up.

"Looks like you could use a guide too. Why not tag along with us?"

Just because she was an angel didn't mean she believed demons were innately evil. Still..she'd be cautious.

Cristian

Cristian yawned. He was so bored. The teacher in the front of the class talked and talked, sometimes scribbling on the board while some students either watched her studiously or fell asleep. How do humans do this? He asked himself. It was so boring. He sighed, glancing at a clock on the wall. There was still alot of time left before the period was over. Cristian sighed again. He settled back into his chair more, deciding to pass the time by watching the others around him.

Zoey

Zoey smiled when Ruyu said yes. Her smile broadened when Ruyu extended the offer to the quiet guy standing off to the side. I'm on a roll! She thought happily. Two new friends and it isn't even lunch yet. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was weird about all of the new kids in the office, however. Rude boy, the girl who had backed him up, quiet guy, and even Ruyu, there was something strangely different about them all. She decided to ignore the feeling, however, and think about it later. "Hey!" She exclaimed enthusiastically to the quiet guy. "My name's Zoey. What's your's?" She asked in a polite, friendly voice. "So let me take a look at your schedules. What do you guys have for first period?" Zoey asked.

Kali stood suddenly and brushed passed the group of human, angel, and demon, she glanced back at the other demon and almost apologized for being rude...almost. What would be the point though? she'd just end up screwing it up again. Self pity did not look good on her so instead she just smiled at the group, surprisingly with no sarcasm, then waved at Garret and exited the room. she didn't feel like sticking around. no point.
"Hey where are you going?!" the teacher called after her.
"to hell" she replied back and kept walking.

Maya Jones

Maya watched anxiously at the clock. Her hype was wearing down and that was never good. As the time ever so slowly passed by, she stared at the door. And began to wonder of angels and demons. If two opposite creatures lived worlds apart, how would the bosses figure them to get along? Angels watch everything from above so they get a fell of human and demon habits. But demons..., she thought.

Garret McSean

He gave Kali a wink in reply as she left the room. At last it was his turn to get detention. He sort of laughed at this type of punishment. Back home, you were either beat, slapped, or given more demon duties, the humans saying of chores. Nevertheless, he went along with such a ridiculous punishment. "Name?"
"Garret McSean," he said plainly.
The desk lady nodded and told him to get to class. He left the room and a little voice came in his head. "No more trouble, Luke. It's Earth. Not Hell." it growled with a familiar tone..
"Whatever you say, Master," he whispered aloud.

Drake Sever

Drake looked toward the new girl. He'd stand up from his seat. Taking a deep breath, to raise his hand. The teacher called on Drake.
"Is there anything you need." Mrs.Duncan ask.
"Is it ok, if I move" Drake asks
Mrs.Duncan just nods.
Drake grabs his things from his desk, and moves. There'd be a a seat next to the new girl. He'd walk over there placing his stuff inside the desk. Drake takes a deep breath, he'd toward his head.
"Hello, whats your name. Mines Drake Sever. How do you like this school so far?"

Kali waited outside the door of her next class. no point in going in her last one late. unfortunately it was just a few feet down the hall frm the detention hall. she watched garret walk out but acted a if she hadnt seen him, not wanting him to think she noticed everythig about him, though she did. she sighed and slid down the wall, sitting on the floor and resting her head agaisnt the wall, with her eyes closed. her phone vibrated. a txt from the higher ups.
"dont get into any more trouble" it read adn she felt a burning in her chest. they meant business.

Takio had almost shouted with glee when he had been asked if he wanted to tag along with the angels, almost. What he truely said though was
"T- thanks... sure i guess" he sttutered
Idiot! he shouted in his head, he was supposed to be a demon, not a human. He was in the middle of thought when suddenly a loud girl shouted at him
"Ahh!" he shouted, startled, he had never been great with getting scared himself. He smiled as the girl told him her name, Zoey "um... hi the name's Takio Narusume... uh..." he tried to remember what his first period was. A few moments later he remembered and said "english... i think"

Maya Jones

Maya was spacing out still thinking about demons but when the boy spoke to her she gave another friendly smile. Her cheeks were really getting tired of this but she forced one anyways. "My name's Maya Jones. And ermm.. Well I haven't really seem much of the school so I can't say much." Running her hands through her hair, she almost went to stroke her wings. They weren't there obviously because she was to be human now. Inwardly she frowned. Outwardly her smile was fading but still friendly.

Garret McSean

Garret noticed Kali slide down on the floor but he turned opposite of her direction. He made his way back to where his locker was and opened it. Staring at it's contents he cursed. His wrist was bare. He punched the lockers and grunted. "Where the hell is my watch?!" He glared at the floor. No one was around.
Suddenly mist rose from the ground and his demon master appreared with a scowl. He was a tall dark skinned man in his thirties. He was muscular with dark orbs for eyes and fangs for teeth. He looked horrifying but Garret was used to him. He faced him with bottled up anger. "Give me the watch."
A short laugh came from the man. "Or what? You're going to attack me in human form? You know you cannot change back into demon form without my consent, Luke." He held a black wrist watch up to the light. Garret eyed it hungrily. "Why did you take it?!"
"Because I can. And you will not get it back until you execute this experiement with zero mistakes. I don't want you ruining my career as a Nightwatcher Master with this test. Remember, the next time you trouble the mortals, this thing is going into the flames..." And he was gone.
Garret was boiling. The watch was the only thing in the world, Heaven, Hell and Earth alike, that held value and meaning to him. His mother's watch.

Ruya

Ruya introduced herself to Takio with veiled surprise in her eyes. "My name is Ruya." Glancing at Kali she waited for the girl's excitment to subside before speaking up. "English is my first period too." She glanced at the clock after noting which way the other demons went. She felt as though there would be problems from those two, for now though she had to focus on getting through this first day.

Kali had saw what went down but didnt interrupt, not out of fear but because she had no place in the situation. after he left however, she walked up to him.
"Nightwatcher Master....your the nightwatcher appretice." she said mostly to herself.
"he must be a real Jerk." she said looking at Garret with pure curiosity and interest. she didnt say anything about the watch because from the look on Garrets face, it meant something to him. She hoped he got it back but it wasnt her business to try and help him, no matter how much she wanted to. she kept repeating that to herself.
its not your business
but if i did help and he got suspicious she could just say it was out of spite for her Master... she thought to herself as she debated the consiquences.

You'll see alot of it tomorrow, and most of the people here isn't polite.. Not to much at least."
Drake just smiled, placing both his hads up on the seat, exheiling he'd yawn for abit.
Drake turns toward Maya again.
So which classes you have?"
Drake turned his head looking toward the clock. He'd sigh for abit.
"Well hopefuly schools over with"
He'd place his arms on the desk, then place his head on them. He just wanted to get some rest, nothing more. Picking his head, he'd let his arms go up behind his head. The teacher looks over to him, and asks.
Drake you have a question?"
He'd go back to seating right in the seat.
"No i'm stratching. Sorry"

Maya Jones

The angel watched him with interest. "I guess so..." she said and her mind drifted away towards the heavens. It hasn't been a good 24hrs and she already missed her home like crazy. The many angels laughing and singing. Her master giving her tips about travel and joining her on messaging missions. Now here she was, stuck in a human school learning math. What a down grade! Oh well, she thought. At least I can make new friends.
"Would you like to hang out after school, Drake?" She smiled and then faltered. She'd have to report to her master after school and she couldn't have Drake find out. She reverted the words as soon as it came from her mouth. It wasn't that she didn't like Drake, she just couldn't reveal anything of her true self to him obviously.

Garret McSean

He calmed as Kali approached him. He was still pissed of at his Master but he definitely wasn't going to screw up this test. The notation of Master being a jerk made Garret almost smile. Almost. He still held a scowl but just not as harsh.
"Yes. I am the nightwatcher apprentice and you saw my ass of a master," Garret said.
And then the bell rang.
"What class you have now?"

Ruya

The rest of the day went quickly, Ruya assumed the lack of trouble from the demons was a result of the displeasure coming from their masters about detention. She was able to keep an eye on Takio, though she had a feeling that he didn't take pleasure in harming humans or causing them trouble. The angel was also given the chance to get to know Kali. As she sat outside the library waiting for detention to begin she stalked back and forth across the hallway looking every inch a caged panther. The Fighter apprentice was used to heavy physical training and was growing impatient without training.

She skidded to a stop when a faint glow took form in front of her. "Patience my apprentice, you're doing well." The light faded as quickly as it had appeared and the young angel sighed and leaned heavily against a wall. A few moments later the Receptionist who had taken their names came and wordlessly opened the door to the library ushering her in. Before she left the room the woman spoke.

"The others should be arriving for their detention shortly." With that the brisk woman spun on her heel and strode out.

(i think Ruya just skipped to after school...so i suppose we should follow suit =])

Kali shrugged in reply to Garrets question
"history, the joys of human past" she said sarcastically
"see you at detention nightwatcher" she said as she was then rushed away by the rest of the crowds of children.

Kali sat at the table farthest from the fighter angel. she had an Ipod on full blast Rise Against's Dancing for Rain playing. She had a book in one hand and a doodle pad in another. she sketched a figure slowly, unsure where her inspiration came from until she recognized the person in her sketch as Garret. He was leaning against the lockers, his eyes where almost sparkling with the words "i know something you dont". then there was the cat-catches-the-canary grin on his face that fit his personality and on his wrist was the watch she had seen the master take. she felt her face flame for a moment then rolled her eyes and flipped to a blank page and began sketching again.

Garret McSean

Classes were a bore. Garret actually expected it to be some what a little lively and no other girls approached him throughout the day so he couldn't mess around. Not that he planned anything serious. Master was serious about the watch. He stayed quiet and did what he did best: grinned and observed. He learned a lot that the teachers didn't teach him. A boy named Andy and his girlfriend Marissa were on the verge of a break up. This caught his attention as the guy was close to begging the girl for another chance "at her heart". Garret thought this utterly lame but it was the first time he'd seen a guy look like he was about to cry. Emotions were looked down upon during his training as NightWatcher's mustn't mingle with their prey. They shouldn't even feel a slight concern to those they watch. Garret generally didn't have trouble with this task but once in a while he observed humans who angered him. The boy Andy's begging made him want to punch the boy and tell him to man up. Garret had less respect for humans right after he saw that in the halls. He learned human males can be weaker then he expected.

Garret watched the other detention students. His arms were folded and he leaned back in the chair. His face was no longer in the grin and sparkling mysterious eyes that he held before. His face was dead serious and dark. The air touching his wrist was irritating him. The empty space drove him crazy. He loved his mother's watch and it reminded him who he was and who he was to be. His mother had the same smirk and gaze he did. She died after crossing the line with one of her bosses. She gave him her watch and told him, "Luke, demons have hearts. So use yours well and don't become a devil. Keep the smile and the eyes."

Kali looked over and saw Garret, slightly shocked, since she hadnt seen or heard him enter, she stared for a moment...then another...than the hand on her pencil and pad began moving furiously, as of of its own will. she barely paid attention to her music now, though it had changed to one of her favorite songs Fucking Perfect by Pink. she noted the look on his face was dark, and very serious and decided she liked his smirk better. she glanced down at her paper and noted it looked...identical to him. she smiled for a moment then turned her attetion back to him as she began the final details of the picture.

Drake Sever

"I wish, I could but I need to go home after this. Or maybe. I don't know." Drake didn't know what to do. He just thought to his self.
"I'll hang out with you just for a hour at least. Is that all right with you, Maya?"
He'd smile to her. Maybe meeting new people isn't bad. Maya seem like a nice person to talk with. He'd nodded toward her, turning his head toward the clock in back of the teacher. " I'll hang out for a hour, I have to go get my pay check from my job. You don't mind." He'd turn his head back to Maya."

Once the bell rang he picked up his stuff. Drake wonderd how tomorrow was going to be. But he just pushed the thought from his head, grabing his stuff, and walking out waitting for Maya.

(Sorry was doing laundry, and eating, plus singing. Lol)

Maya Jones

Hanging out for an hour wasn't so bad, she thought. Her master would under that this was part of the test. As far as Maya interpreted the task at hand, it was to make a mortal fall on love with you. Maybe Drake could fill the slot and she wouldn't have to do much. She smiled at him as she got out of the room. He had nice eyes, she thought. "What class you have now? It says here I have Chemistry..."
The rest of the day was a blink of an eye.
Maya stood by her locker getting ready to leave when she remembered she had a date/hang out with Drake. Should she wait for him outside or look for him? She bit her lip and decided to wait. She leaned against a tree scanning the crowd for Drake. "Drake," she called softly mostly to herself.

Garret McSean

Garret noticed Kali watching him and drawing. He almost wanted to wink at her and ask if she got his good side but he didn't want to break her concentration or attract the attention of humans. He figured the silence was the punishment. Or maybe the actual time? Garret could care less but he needed to. His head was swirling with ways to complete his mission without slip ups. He had to get a human to fall in love with him. Maybe that Zoey girl, he thought. Just for the test and then he could decide if he could work with Kali.
Garret had the plan laid out. He was going to get Zoey to like him and he was goof to flirt as if he liked her. While he hung out with Kali and got to know her thus having her develop a sort of feelings for him. He felt that Kali might give him the hard to get chase but he was up for the challenge.

Drake Sever

Drake was done for today, locked his things in his lock. Then headed outside to look for maya. Maya, he thought. She was beautiful, her eyes god they was breath taking. But he'd slow this heart rate down. He would scan the area, trying to find maya. Almost running into a pole. God I can't think straight. He'd place his hnd on the metal light pole still look, turning head. He would catch a her form near a tree. He'd smile to her, walking to her location. He wonder how long she was here.
"Sorry, I had to put my stuff up. But I'm glad I found you"
He'd smile alittle.

Cristian

Cristian was bored out of his mind most of the day. He had fallen asleep for two of his classes, nearly fallen asleep for three, and didn't pay any attention whatsoever to the rest. The ending bell couldn't have come fast enough. When it did finally come he was out of his chair and out the door in a flash. He dreaded what tomorrow would he like. He made his way outside to the front of the school. He settled himself down comfortably off to the side. Considering he had nothing to do, he sat and decided to watch the humans interact for a bit. He sat observing them, waiting for something exciting to happen.

Zoey

Zoey enjoyed showing Ruya and Takio around. She spent the day laughing with friends and discussing what they all did over the summer. All in all it was a good first day of school... Until she remembered she had detention. She was outside of the school, joking around with friends when she did remember. In a panic, she left them with quick goodbyes, and was flying down the hall toward the detention room seconds later. "O shit!" She cursed the whole way, under her breath. She silently prayed that no one had noticed her absence. Her prayers went unanswered. "You're late Ms. Taylor! Extra time!" The loud voice of the teacher in charge filled the room as Zoey tried unsuccessfully to sneak in. "Damn!" She mumbled to herself as she walked over to take a seat towards the back of the room. She sat and looked around, considering there wasn't anything else to do. She noticed Ruya, Takio, Kali, and rude boy. She still didn't know his damn name. She smiled at this. Maybe I should ask him. She thought, looking over at him. She immediately squashed the idea once it entered her mind. Or maybe not. She thought again, correcting herself. True he was hot, but she didn't like heartbreak and rude boy definitely had the word tattooed all over him. She noticed that he had a dark look on his face. She preferred it when he was smirking. She immediately squashed that thought too. She saw that Kali seemed to be sketching something. Her curiosity kicked in and she tried stretching her neck to see it, but couldn't. With a bored sigh, she turned back to look at rude boy. Damn he was hot. Another thought was squashed. He still had a dark look on his handsome face, however. Wanting to see him smirk and bored out of her mind, she sneakingly pulled out a sheet of paper and pen. She quickly scribbled on it, "Turn that frown upside down. What's with the long face?" At the bottom, after much thought, she wrote her name, Zoey, in neat letters. She silently crumpled up the paper, and turned to check that the teacher up front wasn't paying attention. When she was sure they weren't, she threw the paper at rude boy, hitting him directly in the head. She covered her mouth with her hand, trying to stifle a laugh, and smiled broadly at him. She couldn't say why she was acting so nice to him all of a sudden, after what had happened between the two, but just the dark look on his face had told her that he needed a pick me up, and that was enough for her.

Kali noted Garret glancing at her but didn't show signs she cared, then she saw the girl...Zoey...throw a paper at Garret and frowned for a moment before blanking her face. It wasn't her concern. He was doing his job for the test. Her concern was passing her own test. She hadn't even scoped out a human yet. she had spent to much time thinking about Garret that she hadn't even considered the guys around her. Awesome she was going to fail a the stupid test because of a stupid boy. Kali sighed and rolled her eyes. She needed to man up and make a plan not doodle sexy guys all day. At that thought she took the picture she had drawn not minutes before and crumpled it up and threw it behind her as she stood abruptly. it wasn't like she didn't have 3 more of him. What could she say? school was boring and he always seemed to be in the right place or have the light hitting him just right...that and doodling was somewhat of a passion of hers. she liked drawing beautiful things...and he was deffinatley beautiful. Kali snorted discusted at herself before she wandered through the shelves of books, found a section of fiction, and a book on demonology then sat. Maybe the stupidity of what humans thought they new about demons would cheer her up.
