The dya had seemed to have gone very quickly in Takio's eyes, first beung shown around by Zoey and then it was lessons. Nothing really interesting had happened for most of trhe day. Takio hadn't seen the boy he had beaten up until he remembered something, he had a detnetion.
Great... i bet that guy is there again he thought as he walked though the corridors to the detention room, luckily he wasn't late for it just yet
"Sit over there" the teacher said, pointing to an empty desk in the corner of the room.

Ruya


Ruya watched the others quietly. She sat with her chin in the palm of one hand while the other traced grooves in the desk in front of her. Now that she was stuck in this room her anxiety returned. As she watched the others she noticed the note the flew from Kali to Garrett. A few moments later Takio walked in, and a plotting smirk pulled um the corner of her mouth. She wrote a note of her own in the slanted calligraphy typical of her race.

You're a demon aren't you? Here for the test.

She folded the paper into a triangle and flicked it with enough precision to land it directly in front of Takio.

Darlison(Derek)

Light from the sky would appear right behind the school, when the school was getting out. "Darlison your later, for your class, and don't worry you have time tomorrow. So report back to me about what goes on, on the test. Your name is Derek now, so be good, and dont get irritated when some of the people talk back. Ok Derek." Derek nods, and walks off this is his first time being on earth. He'd look around, as the light went away. Thinking to himself. "I will complete this test, thats what the master wants me to do." He'd nod looking around. Stop fom where he was, he'd see a boy. He'd look between 16-18. So Derek just walks over to him to get information. But that didn't go well. He didn't think about how, he would act. Without thinking Derek grabs the boy by the caller, and asks for his name, and where detention was. Because he is late. Derek asks again. This boy wears a white shirt,and has white hair with blue eyes. Derek was getting annoyed, because he was answering question. But on the side of Derek there was a girl standing next to a tree. This boy must be with her, and she is a angel.

Maya Jones

Maya smiled as she saw Drake approaching. She was beginning to wonder where he was."It's okay." She stepped out from under the tree away from the shade. The sun was up and shining. She liked the warmth on her skin. "So where do you want to go? I don't know much about this place," she told him honestly. Walking towards the sidewalk she avoided cracks. She wanted to fly since walking was so slow but alas she had no wings. Holding back a frown she turned back to Drake and leaned closer to him. They were a couple of inches apart. "Do you guys have a cafe around here?" Maya's master had told her of coffee and she had been interested to taste it. Some say it's bitter. Others say it's delicious. Master hadn't said wheather she liked it or not. Maya placed a bet on coffee being bitter.

Garret McSean

The time was ticking slowly and it looked like everyone who got detention was present and sulking. Zoey came in late and received extra time. Garret's face made no note of this. He stared at the desk until an object touched his head lightly. It was a paper crumpled into a ball. It fell on the floor and Garret bent to pick it up. Looking up to her face, Garret expected cold eyes but was met with a grin. Sort of confused he opened up the paper. He read the letter and was still confused. Wasn't this the girl who threatened to break his arm if he called her hot stuff again? Or was that someone else?
He saw Kali get up and grab a book. He admired her for a moment and looked down at the paper. Well if he was going to pass this test he'd have to flirt. Getting intimate with a human was sort of weird to him but that's what the masters wanted. The apprentices were only here to please.
Taking a pen he scribbled down on the crumpled paper. Nothing's wrong. What's your concern? He added a wink but kept his face straight. He decided to write his name since she didn't know it. Making a quick double glance at the ignorant teachers he gently threw the paper at Zoey.

Hmm theres a Ice cream shop, and a coffee shop near my work.." Once he stopped, he's whole body turn on his rightside. The persin was holding him by his shirt coller. "Hey, if your looking for the detention. Its in the school can you let me go pls.." He'd look at Maya sighing alittle. Once that was over with. He'd show her around taking her to his job, once he got his money. He'd show her the coffe shop. " This is the coffee shop i haven't tryed it yet. But its near my job..

Darlison(Dereck)
He'd say thank you to the human boy, ahe lets him go, and wals off tom the detention room. Once he got there. The teacher said."Your late extra time you have hour, then you can leave a I clear.?"
Dereks nods, and takes a seat.

Cristian

Cristian had stayed watching everyone until most of them had left. He once again was faced with the problem of what to do. He sat thinking for a second before deciding to simply walk around and continue his observing. He started off walking in a random direction. "Hey!" A voice suddenly called out to him. He turned to find Kelly jogging over to him. "Hey." He said, trying to sound enthusiastic, even though he wasn't. "How was your first day of school? Did you find all your classes?" She asked. "Yes I did. Thanks to your tour of course." He told her politely. Remembering the reason why he was on Earth in the first place, Cristian offered to walk her home. She excitedly accepted and they were walking off toward her house.

Zoey

Zoey quickly retrieved the crumbled up piece of paper when it came flying back to her with Garret's response. She read it carefully, biting her lip, wondering what she should write back. She could practically hear his cocky voice saying the words on the paper, and the wink on his face, but when she looked over at him he still had a dark expression on. She noticed something written on the bottom. Garret. She said in her head. She now knew his name. She couldn't help the small smile that pulled on her lips. "Don't lie, Garret. Liers go to hell." She wrote on the paper, drawing a winky face of her own after it. "And I'm not concerned. Just curious." She added, not wanting him to get the wrong or any ideas. She crumbled up the paper again and threw it toward Garret. She tried to ignore the butterflies in her stomach as she waited anxiously for his reply.

Kali sighed bored yet again. no one was safe when she got bored. she grinned at that thought, then stood a plan already forming in her mind.
"sir, i have to go use the little girls room" she she said as she batted her eyelashes innocently. The teacher sighed and rolled his eyes
"you have five minutes" he said. Kali walked calmly to the door then as soon as she stepped threw it she took off. she'd have to be fast if she didn't want to be caught. she slipped into the boys bathroom and pulled out a ciggerett. SHE didn't smoke but found having them with her could be useful. she smiled almost evily as she lit it and dropped it in the trashcan full of paper towls. there wouldn't be any serious damage, not that she cared, but detention would deffinately be cut short. she waited a moment before taking off to the library again. she ran threw the door looking distraught.
"sir two boys just left the bathroom talking about smoking and now there's smoke coming from the bathroom!" she said making her voice as scared as she could manage.
"what!" the teacher exclaimed and took off in the direction of the bathroom. a few moments later the fire alarm was pulled. Kali laughed quietly to herself at her own handy work as water sprinkled down in the hall.
damn im good she thought
"guess that's our Que to leave?" she said with a smirk and stepped out the door.

Takio looked down at the ground as he saw a small not appear, having been folded into a shape of a small triangle
You're a demon aren't you? Here for the test his breath caught in his throat for a moment then he sighed, taking out a pen and writing in reply
'Don't remind me... yeah i'm a demon... though not a vey good one to be frank' he folded it back up and was about to throw it back when suddenly the alarm bell was rung by another one of the demons, Kali. She asked wherether this was the cue to leave and he smiled, though he did hate others being bad for no reason honestly this was better than detention. He passed the note to Ruya, saying
"Sorry if it got slightly wet... you should be able to read it" he said as he walked out of the room.

Ruya had placed her ipod in her ears blaring music to calm her riotous energy. Her eyes flipped open when the fire alarm went off and judging by the look on Kali's face she was the source. A small smirk played over her lips as she rose from her seat. Every the cautious fighter she waited by the door to be the last out despite the lack of a real threat. As Takio approached she noted the paper in his hand through her damp bangs. She accepted it from him with a questioning look and unfolded the note gently as she followed him out.

The words on the paper made her only more confused. It seemed as though he wasn't at ease with what he was. Without noticing her quick stride had lead her to the entrance slightly ahead of the others. She stopped at the bottom of the steps looking up over her shoulder with unreadable eyes.

Maya Jones

Maya stood wide eyed as the guy held Drake by the collar. He let go and proceeded back towards the school. She glanced back at Drake and smoothed the wrinkles that formed around his shirt collar. "You okay? Does that happen a lot here on Earth?" She said sighing. She imagined her thin frame being held by her short collar. Then she noticed she had said Here On Earth. Blinking she backed away from him and smiled. 
"Er well than let's go! I want to try coffee. I never had coffee because my Mas- Mother won't let me." She struggled to keep smiling. 

Garret McSean

Garret watched Zoey read the paper and bite her lip. Inwardly he grinned. He watched Kali get up to go to the girls room. Instantly he knew that girl was up to something from the way she left the room. He sat up straighter and folded his arms awaiting her return. Just before she came back the note came flying towards Garret once again.
As he read the words, the demon couldn't help but smile. Liars go to hell, it wrote. Garret thought of how ironic her words were. He was going to reply something along the lines of You say you're not concerned. But you also say liars go to Hell. And Zoey, heaven has liars.
But than Kali came in warning of smoke coming from the bathroom. As the teachers rushed out and the alarm rang, Garret's signature smirk and eyes were back in play. He strode out the door ignoring the water dripping from his hair. He looked over at Kali. "My kinda girl," he whispered to himself so no one could here.

Cristian

Zoey

Zoey impatiently awaited Garret's response, unable to ignore the butterflies in her stomach. She didn't understand why she was feeling this way. She was pulled from her thoughts as Kali came running back into the classroom, in a panic, claiming that two boys had started a fire in the bathroom. When had she even left? Zoey wondered confusedly for a second. Before she fully understood what was happening, the fire alarm was sounded and the sprinklers were on overhead. Kali's smirk and joke that this was their time to leave made it instantly obvious to Zoey that she was the cause of all this chaos. Zoey smiled, running a hand through her damp hair. "That was a good one." She complimented Kali on her way out. "Wish I would have thought of it earlier, but they would have never believed me like they believed you." She added truthfully. She would have been busted immediately. She was known for pulling stupid pranks and when bored in detention she couldn't help but try every trick in the book to get out. Zoey made her way out of the door. She noticed Garret and the thought of the note he had been responding to popped into her head. She walked over to stand beside him. "So Garret," She purposely emphasized his name in a teasing way. "What exactly were you going to write back to me before this whole fake fire fiasco started?" She asked, trying to sound like she didn't really care, which she did. She bit her lip for a second before catching herself and forcing herself to stop. She settled on tracing the letters of her tattoo, instead. H. O. P. E. She traced each letter with her finger, anxiously awaiting Garret's response.

Drake sever

"I don't know him. I think he's new." He'd shurg, and laugh. Drake would take her to the coffe shop. Once there he'd buy a vanilla capachino. He'd smile to Maya, as he asks her, what she wanted. He'd buy her the drink she wanted.

Derek

He'd looked at the girl weird, but doesn't say anything. He'd leave the school, walking around to get a feel of the earth. He didnt mind it. He was kinda getting used to it. A hour passed by so he just left to report in. His master just yelled at him for screwing things up alittle. But praised him for not doing anything to stupid.

Kali heard the human girl Zoey compliment her and barely held back her self satisfied smirk, instead she just nodded. Her smile faded and she began to walk away as a burning began in her temples.
"what did i say?! NO MORE MISCHIEF OR TROUBLE!" a voice boomed in her head making a blast of liquid fire burning threw her mind. she hissed in pain and staggered, almost falling to her knees from the pain. she barely made it around the corner before she had to lean against the wall.
"You WILL NOT fail me, you WILL NOT make me look bad!" the voice said but now it came from a man in a black and red pinstripe suit. He grabbed Kali by the hair and yanked her forward.
"Find a human now and make him fall in love with your pathetic little ass, NOW" he hissed
"or what? i fail? oh scary! you suffer more than me if i fail you stupid piece of--" her insult was cut off by a back hand that sent her into the wall. It knocked the wind out of her so all she could do was stare as her master glared down at her.
"do your job or spend eternity in the seventh ring of hell with your little friends. pass and i might let them go" he said then was gone leaving Kali sitting against the wall attempting to regain control of herself.

Kouta sighed as he saw, from the corner of his eye, Ruya open the papre he had given her.
She's just gonna think i'm werid now... great plan mr demon he thought. Then he looked over as he saw something hit Kali against the wall, in what seemed to have been in a slap movement. He walked over and placed his hand in front of him
"Here, let me help you up... the same thing happens to me day in and day out with my master" he pointed to some of the larger scars and brusies on his body to illistrate his point "our masters are demons... we must remember that and be prepared to become demons ourselves in their stead... it is a vicious cycle"

Kali stared at the demon boy for a moment, she wanted to take his hand and let herself be helped up, let someone else care for the moment. She knew it was weak of her and knew also he would read it in her eyes and on her face. She stared at him for a moment longer her face vulnerable, and then suddenly she turned to the side and spit out blood. When she faced him again her eyes where hard and her jaw set. She had no time for weakness.
“Please don’t disgrace me. I know what it is to be a demon. Cruelty is in our blood. We have no choice. That is the life we live, suffering, loss, anger, and hate. That is our lives. I know all too well.” She said as she struggled to her feet on her own. She could feel the bruise forming on her jaw, and it ached as she talked but she didn’t wince. She staggered forward, almost falling due to the dizziness she felt, but stood strong and held her head high, though as she passed him she whispered “thank you, and I’m sorry” for his ears only. She made her way down the hall, towards the doors of the school. She HAD to pass the test. She couldn’t stay under her masters reign any longer.

Kouta was almost dumbfounded as he heard Kali say something in his ear
Thank you and i'm sorry he smiled, so not all demons were complete killing machines like he had first thoght, though on thing was for sure and that was that they defenatley had a lot of pride in themselves, as he noticed some of the angels had as well. Well, angels and demons were'nt all that different really, humans had always dramactised them so much more than what was true.
Humans... he thought i will never understand them... though to get out of my masters rule i must learn to understand them

Ruya

Ruya folded the paper and placed in in the pocket of her jeans. She noticed the difficulty Kali was having and allowed her curiosity to get the best of her. She followed, careful to stay out of sight and saw the interaction between her and Takio. She blinked several times as she processed what she'd seen.

So much cruelty in their masters. She thought of her own master and his kind smile. How do they not try to escape.

Ruya stepped out of her hiding spot and faced Takio her eyes slightly lowered. "I don't mean to pry.....but your masters....you wish to be like them?" Ruya's question was out of curiosity and she held no accusation in her tone.

Kali stopped in her tracks, barely catching what the angel had said. she burned with anger.
"what makes you think we WANT this?" she said not expecting the angel to hear her but she just had the impulse to say it. Honestly she didn't understand what made the angels think they where so much better. she clenched her fist and her jaw.
"what we WANT isn't and option. Its do what your told or suffer you innocent little girl. We don't live charmed lives like you..." She said her voice harsh and still low enough where she wasn't sure if the angel would hear her. She straitened her spine and held her head high before turning and flashing a purely cruel smile at the two.
"Then again, it easy to do what your good at." she muttered and with a flip of her hair she walked out the doors.
"i need a game plan" she said to herself. what was the best way to get attention of a boy? she wondered...do something darastic. she smiled to herself already forming a plan. she stuck her hands in her pocket and was shocked to find some keys.
"wow, a car you shouldn't have." she said sarcastically as she hit the keylacentry to figure out which one was hers. A black sports car honked in response. Kali blinked then grinned. guess being bad wasn't all that...bad.

Maya Jones

Maya followed Drake around until they met a small shop with the name Cafe written in fancy script letters. She stayed close to him as they entered. The line only had about two people in it. Staring at the menu she read off a few, "Frappe, mocha, caramel..." Her eyes floated around the block letters in concentration. She finally settled on a Vanilla Cappuccino. It had a tasty looking picture .
"Er well I'll get the Vanilla Cappuccino, please," she told Drake. As the reached the front she noticed the cashier was a girl a little older then them with a smiling face. She'd be a good angel, Maya thought noticing her straight posture and happy vibe. "What can I get for you guys today?" The girl asked. Her name tag wrote Molly.

Garret McSean

He looked at Zoey in surprise. So she starts to show interest, he thought with a grin. The dark face was long gone and Garret was ready to talk. "Well I would tell you that I am perfectly fine. And Heaven, Zoey, has liars." He gave a wink. "I should get going. I have somewhere to go. Talk to you another time hot stuff," he said and motioned to leave. He let the title Hot Stuff hang out into the air. He turned and started to walk towards the exit. He passed Kali getting a slap from her Master and the other Demon try to help. The angel muttered some stupid words and Kali looked angry. His face faltered since he had no intention of becoming a beast like his Master and other Masters like him.
Was it destined for the student of the cruel become cruel as that is what they are taught and exposed to? Maybe so but Garret wouldn't fall into that hole. Once he passed the Test he would try to break from the cycle of pain. He would claim his watch from the flames and escape the master cycle. There were plenty of elderly demon's on the outskirts of the underworld who would be looking for a NightWatcher. He could even use his Master's name to enhance his profit.
He passed the other students and walked out into the parking lot. Turning left onto the street he kept walking seeming like he knew where the hell he was headed.
Garret hoped Zoey hadn't taken it to offense that he had left. He would stay and chat under the alarm but alas the man was busy. Now he entered a CD shop. Approaching the cashier, he put on his best nice boy smile and tried to look decent and not from Hell. "I'd like to apply for a job."

Drake Sever

He'd smile to her, nodding as he speaks to the casher. "I'd like to buy two vinilla cap's pleases." He'd smile to her. "coming right up, two vinilla cap's coffee that will be 6.50
" nodding toward the girl, taking some money out. He'e give them to her. She'll take the money placing them in the cash counter. Then gives them there coffee. Drake takes the coffee walking to a seat, and pulling out a chair for maya. He'd smile, to wait for her. Plzcing the coffee the table.

Kali got in her car and sped off.
"looks like i have an apartment key as well, any clues on where or are you gonna waste my time by making me scour the place?" Kali asked thin air her hair whipping behind her and her music blaring.
"No reply. figures." she thought but let it go. she wouldn't mind cruising. She saw Garret go into a Cd store and resisted the urge to stop only due to the fact that the burning, her masters warning, began again. she saw a guy lounging in front of a book store across the street and pulled up to the curve putting on her "come hither" look. She smiled at him and asked his name.
"Jermy, babe, but you can call me anything you want, as long as you remember it because you'll be screaming it later" he said giving her a once over. She stepped out of her car and felt like hitting him but knew from the look of him he would be her best shot at passing. he was weak willed and punny in spirit so it would be easy to break him.
"ill hold you to that" she said with an innocent smile as she started a conversation. in the end he "won" her number and he gave her his with a wink and a parting "call any time" Kali nodded and turned but instead of getting into her car went into the coffee shop a few blocks down grabbed a coffee and walked back towards her car.

Takio had been about to answer Ruya's question when Kali, who seemed to have heard the question intergeted, albei in a more violent way than Takio would probably have done it but basiclly the same hing that he would say. As he saw her stalk off he looked at Ruya and said
"Whta she says is true... even if one of us demons wanted to be good our masters and the enviroment we have to live in prevents us from doing so... there are many demons who wish to be good... though to survive in hell they need to become demons... i think the same could be said for heaven, some wish to be evil but they have to be good... it is a sad fact about both our planes of exsitnace... purgatory, or Earth, is the only place where you are truely free... though many do not reconginze this fact until death" he sighed "sorry, i must be boring you with this philosophical stuff... a young angel like you shouldn't have to listen to a demon like me"

Maya Jones

Maya watched him order their coffee. They had sat down in a window seat and Maya blushed as Drake pulled out a seat for her. She sat down and crossed her legs like her master always did when she attending Messanger Angel meetings. Poised and princess like. Maya wanted nothing more but to be as graceful and kind as her master. Her name was Julie Goldring. Maya stared out her window and looked up at the clouds floating in the sky. She smiled at Drake. She didn't want to sip her drink first afraid she would embarrass herself by doing something stupid she she kept a smile on. "Er so tell me about yourself"

Drake Sever

" I'm trying to go to college after this, I like sports, but i really like to do martial arts. On my off I study in my own appartment, read books to get a good grasp of thing. What about you, Maya?" He'd smile, taking a drink. The coffee was warm, andit tasted pretty good. But this was really his first time going on a date. Drake just waitting, taking another drink..

Zoey

Zoey stared after Garret as he walked off. When she registered what he had called her she called after him, "I told you not to call me that!" He must have been too far away to hear her, however. She sighed and shook her head. A smile stretched across her face. She felt the butterflies in her stomach again. Damn it! Why'd he have to be so cute! She thought frustratedly. She sighed again before starting off for home. She had reached her halfway point there, the coffee shop, when she noticed Kali walking over to a hot looking black sports car, a coffee in her hand. Zoey really didn't wanted to walk the rest of the way to her house and she seemed to be on a roll with making friends and after the stunt Kali had pulled to get them out of detention, Zoey had been wanting to get to know the girl so Zoey made her way over to her. "Hey! Kali, right?" She called, jogging over to stand beside the car. She admired the car again. "Damn that's a nice car." She told Kali, laughing. "Do you mind giving me a ride home?" She asked, a bit nervously. "Feel free to say no." She added, not wanting Kali to feel forced. She smiled at her and waited patiently for an answer.
